I have grown disappointed with Steins over the years. The last two visits I purchased both indoor and outdoor plants, with the latter having spent near 400 dollars 2 Hibiscus, 2 Gardenia, and 2 flats of impatiens. The plants were so so, but I have a green thumb. But unbeknownst to me the plants came full of spider mites. As most of you know, these little darlings are not easily seen until the damage begins and the webs begin to show. You would think that with the cost of these plants Stones would ensure that they are pest free. I’m lucky if I can save my investment after 2 weeks of ownership. They are indoor and not outside. Now I am hoping none of my wither plants become infested. The prior purchase was also high. Sadly, they came with scale that was not seen at purchase and I lost my majesty palm and another plant. For a specialized business of plantings, this is highly disappointing and a place I would no longer recommend. Even though it’s pretty outdated in its setup and presentation amid high prices, you used to be able to get quality. Now 8 suggest going to Home Depot for plants. I have yet to have an issue with pest or disease. Pricing is better as well. This place has lost what it barely had.

Usually a great place for home and garden items. This time they had to find a price of an item missing a tag and it took a very long time in the blazing hot sun with no consideration for the inconvenience.

We were shopping for veggies for pots and a raised garden bed. There was a good selection to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. Especially Clare.

Found what I was looking for after being walked all over the store by a customer service person who should have known her merchandise better.

Plants and stuff was all blown around outside. Sure it was windy, but send more people out there to help out and make an effort on a nice atmosphere for guests to shop in/roll their carts around easier to fill up with things to buy! It wasnt that windy, but I ended up ditching my cart and buying less bc of the obstacle course

They have many varieties of plants and flowers. Some plants are heirlooms and 0 GMO. I am into organic. I have a Momarch Waystation that is registered nationally so I am very particular.

So sad that they didnt have the great stockings stuffer selection this year. I usually spend over $50 just on candy from Steins, this year Zero I will have to now figure out where to go for my stockings stuffer purchases. Im hoping that someone can suggest a place soon. I did end up buying myself a beautiful long sweater.

Awesome Christmas decorations but a little pricey. But in all fairness, some of these decorations take quite a bit to make. Something for everyone!

Had exactly what I needed to complete my spring planting.

One of the better Steins in the Milwaukee area; nicely stocked, wide selection, lots of friendly staff, and theres a pretty good chance youll find a random clearance item & save big! $ This location is worth the 20 minute drive.

Having worked for Steins as a kid and knowing how often we had to unload semi trucks full of fresh and new plants I was really disappointed at the amount of burnt and dried out plants and lack of supply this early in June.

My favorite garden center, especially when Milo is on sale.

Poor return policy. Bought multiple Christmas spot lights (24 dollars a piece) on sale after Christmas last year. Went to put up this year and one didn’t work. When I went in to exchange they stated their store policy doesn’t allow. Only 30 days. Other stores like HD, Menards, Amazon, and Walmart would be no issue. Don’t buy from Steins if you don’t plan on using product within 30 days. I also won’t just because now a days other companies have better return policies (retail and online). Shame because I prefer to support local when I can.

Had everything we were looking for but were surprised by the 7pm closing time.

Crowded, but thats likely because they have a great selection right now.

The people who work there are knowledgeable and helpful.

Want dirt for dirt cheap. Cheapest bags of dirt. If you are planting read directions. If you just need to fill a hole..... go to steins.

I picked up 11 box woods today and over the last months many more plants for my landscaping project. Steins had a great supply and quality was excellent for the money. Staff is always helpful. Today Clare B served me. She was very courteous and polite. She thanked me for shopping at Steins and wished me happy 4 th of July.

Always love shopping at Steins. Worked for the one on 27th st in Milwaukee for roughly 4 years, and continue to shop there, and more recently the Waukesha location (as that one is now closer to me)

Bird seed flowers plants

Steins has a large outdoor garden area. They are also competitive with the big box stores on larger items like grills, even offering free delivery. In the winter they have a large selection of real and fake trees.

This is my go to garden center and is definitely the best Steins in SE Wisconsin. Staff is very knowledgeable. Nursery stock is well taken care of.

Not the fastest place to checkout at, but helpful and polite staff.

They opened an hour later than the posted sign on the door. Their sale prices for certain plants were advetised, but they had larger more expensive versions of the same plant unlabeled. I felt like it was a bait and switch. Their rewards program also leaves much to be desired, $250 spent to only get $5 in return. I have seen other companies give much more generous rewards to customers. Please ship elsewhere.

Steins Garden & Home has wonderful customer service, and great quality products. They have a large selection of everything, and much to choose from. The flowers are beautiful and the products are affordable.

Check your receipt for accuracy, the register does not know what 50% off and either does the cashier.

Although the prices are a little high, this place offers a huge variety of home and garden items. I would recommend them if youre looking for something to stand out when decorating.
