I joined an evening novel/memoir writing workshop about a year and a half ago. My novel is about a thousand times more solid because of this group. You get six edits back a week, so suffice it to say between six editors nothing goes unnoticed. The group is honest but incredibly supportive and I recommend it to anyone. The space is amazing as well - very nice round table type atmosphere in the Allwriters library. Ive found Kathie to be very flexible with getting people into the studio. And the track record for finding publishers for Allwriters students is phenomenal.

I have taken an evening workshop for the past three years. There are writers of prose as well as poetry. We share our work and get peer feedback. We also get a written critique from Kathie Giorgio for each piece we share. This workshop has helped my writing tremendously. It is a supportive environment with constructive criticism. My experience with Allwriters Workplace & Workshop and its director and founder Kathie was unacceptable. The situation involved a gift certificate given for the FICTION & CREATIVE NONFICTION WRITING WORKSHOP online course. The dates posted on the website when the gift certificate was purchased changed and Kathie insisted the certificate was for a class starting before the certificate was given. A series of unprofessional and borderline rude emails from Kathie followed as the purchaser attempted to explain the misunderstanding. Obviously we asked for a refund and were denied on the basis that gift certificates were only redeemable for classes not cash value which is an understandable business practice, although, in this situation it seems as if the exception should have been made given the unusual circumstances of the dates changing on the website without any notification. I hope others have had better experiences with this establishment.

I have been with Allwriters since the beginning. I have never been disappointed with any of the offerings. Kathie Giorgio is an excellent teacher. Since I have attended AllWriters, I have had numerous short stories, several poems and two novels published.
