Tom, Co-Owner of The Edge Contracting, promptly returned my call and kept every appointment scheduled with us during tough circumstances. His project manager Mitch was easy to work with and kept us informed through the entire process. With limited resources available and high demand, they went above and beyond to quickly secure our choice of siding. Mitch offered us extra reinsurance when he used FaceTime to announce the arrival of our siding. Their team of installers did a fantastic job! Their attention to detail and ability to work quickly was greatly appreciated. During a time when so many contractors left homeowners with empty promises, The Edge Contracting delivered on all. Great company to work with, walked me through the entire insurance claim process for my damaged home from start to finish. One of their guys met my adjuster and oversaw the inspection. All the damage I pointed out to the project manager from the edge who first knocked my door, was approved. Point being, they say they will commit to you and be there for you the entire way and they are, and have been for me. Their crews only took a day to finish all of our work and I would recommend them to anyone who’s researching their company.

Our home, as many in Ames IA, sustained hail damage in 2018. I requested an Edge rep. stop by and give me a quote. They checked out everything and showed me what they found. They helped me with the insurance company and coordinated related contractor work.Before work began I set timing and completion dates that fit our family needs, including our dogs.They met or exceeded them all!!Now the job is done and we have a new roof, trim, gutters and garage doors. Last week we had 50 mph winds and everything stayed tight and looks good.The Edge works hard to live their values and take pride in what they do. Wow, what a concept!I would recommend them to anyone and have to my neighbors.

The sales guy that knocked on my door seemed great and he was. Problem is the company he worked for wasnt. I had to hound them down to fix the problems their roofers caused. My chimney flashing was still leaking after the 3rd fix. I ended up giving up and hiring someone else to fix The Edge Contractings mistakes. By the end of it I spent much more than my deductible after I had to pay another roofer to fix the mistakes. Ie chimney flashing, drip edge, drywall damage, soaked insulation, etc

Very professional and did great work and all in a short period of time

Missed the start deadline on our contract, so I asked for my money back. So Im not sure what kind of workmanship this company does but I can share my experience so others are aware when making choices about who to use.Before we signed a contract the email response time was less than 24 hours every time, after contract it would take days or weeks and several emails at times to get a response and that was just to get a response to my email, nothing was addressed that I was emailing about Im just talking a reply period. Things were missed in the inspection with the insurance adjuster, and Im not talking little things that could easily be missed, 2 sheds were totally missed as well as some other things. I asked to get these taken care of and I was told it would take 1-2 days. Well over 3 months later no progress was made. Just a lack of communication and excuse after excuse. Getting involved with this company just delayed my project and was a headache for me. After they broke the contract (contract signed in December, start date was April 1st) I asked for my money back and all of a sudden response times were fast again and they were trying to keep my job, I maintained that I wanted my money back and all of a sudden the communication stopped and they wouldnt reply to me. I finally got my earnest money back by contacting the state of Wisconsin and following the guidelines they set to request your money back from a contractor. Its sad, childish and annoying really that I would have to do that to get my money back after they broke the contract. I would not recommend using this company for anything. I got a few quotes after parting ways and I found out the prices they have are very high, for lower quality materials compared to other companies in my area.
