DO NOT COME HERE! The workers do not know what they are doing, say they know how to do one thing and end up messing up your hair. They don’t know how to do men slits or fades so I’m not sure why their called Men’s House. Their attempts are poor and they leave the lines crooked, uneven and spotchy. Rating it 1 star because 0 isn’t an option. Horrible, never coming back.

I had gotten a haircut here from Melissa. Absolute worst hairstylist I have ever had the privilege of allowing to cut my hair. I told her exactly what I wanted and she still managed to mess it up. I’ve had her on several occasions and she doesn’t get any better. Every time I go in to get a haircut I just try to sit there quietly but she continues to open her mouth about her politics every three seconds. Maybe focus more on cutting hair instead of flapping your jaw. I have specifically scheduled appointments with other stylists on the website but somehow still end up with her. I have been a customer here for 6 years and I can say I won’t be coming back. Not to mention the fact that their prices went up after they opened after the pandemic. Talk about price gouging.

I would not recommend this hair cutting place. I called over the phone early in the morning to get a hair cut at 2 oclock and when I got there they said they never had me down. I check the number to make sure I didnt call the wrong place which I didnt. And after a few minutes of someone looking at a computer and saying I never talked to him or called I asked if I could at least get a hair cut for their mistake. And they said I couldnt get one. It was just a very annoying experience and they did nothing to help the problem that they created. Again would not recommend this place to anyone that needs a hair cut right away. Go somewhere that cares.

I had the very unfortunate experience of getting my haircut at this disgrace of a barbershop. I have never liked a haircut I have ever gotten from this place and refuse to come back. I told the stylists exactly what I wanted and she still managed to mess it up. She asked if I wanted to go any shorter when she was done with the cut and I said no please don’t go any shorter but yet she decided she wanted to go shorter. I am extremely unhappy with this haircut and won’t be back.

I just went for a haircut today, and overall, my experience was amazing! I got a haircut from Wendy, and she is my favorite! She was super eager to have a conversation with me, and was super nice! She made sure she didnt miss anything, and I am super happy with my haircut! Everyone has been complimenting me and my new look, and I am so happy! Overall, Wendy did an amazing job, and went above and beyond to make sure that my experience was the best! I hope that she can cut my hair next time! Thanks!

They have never disappointed. My Sons Hair turns out great every time and we do not see the same stylist either, it is random. My Youngest has 3 Cowlicks, 2 up front and one in the back. But He Wants some length to his hair. I have taken him other places and they just butcher his hair and have a very hard time with the Cowlicks, but not Mens Hair House in Waukesha. He always leave looking fantastic!

Good spot for a haircut. I like the hot towel and wash. Makes it easy to get a haircut and not have to worry about showering immediately after, to remove the small pieces of hair trimmings left behind. The prices are right on par with competition and they can usually fit you in with an appointment.

They didnt bother to mention the water was getting worked on and they couldnt do a wash until AFTER I was in the chair. Then refused to discount the service and made me pay full price for half the service.

Its like they only know how to do one type of haircut and even that gets butchered. I showed a picture of what i wanted and she still couldnt do it. (A very basic cut from the book on the table was my example) She ignored the details of the style which is what made it look good. Ive been cutting my own hair for a few years now because i am constantly disappointed when i pay for one. My latest cut looks worse than when i do it myself. Once again i get a haircut only to wear a hat for the next few months while it grows out.

Came today for a haircut as a walk in and my experience was great! First time ever trying the Waukesha location and it was awesome! Chelsea cut my hair and she did an outstanding job! Highly recommend!

Ive been here multiple times. Stephanie has been far and away the most attentive, most precise and now meticulous stylist Ive ever had. Gives haircuts that fit me rather than doing them from a book hoping it will work. I never do google reviews because I never care enough too but she deserves the recognition and you deserve to have your haircut done by Stephanie. And though its not a prerequisite for a good hair cut but she also has a great personality and great conversation. You would be lucky to have your haircut done by Stephanie.

Below average haircut experience! I have came here few times before. I had good haircut. But this time I got this Marianna hairstylist. She totally rushed through haircut and not only messed up my hair, but also acted as if I dont exist there. She completely ignored me, even left me in middle as she got busy on phone for sometime. After messing up hair, she has the audacity to ask is that good?. I replied i needed some volume in center. She took off my salon cape and told you are done. Unacceptable. Anyways this was my last visit. I am taking my business somewhere else. Bye bye 👋

This is one of the best places for a haircut!Most of the bad reviews on here are total BS.I get a different stylist every time and its still the most consistent shop in Waukesha at a fair priceThey have a lot of customers so its a good idea to make an appointment.

Been coming here for about a year and everytime Im extremely happy with my haircut!Mariana is my go-to stylist (she rocks!), but I have had other stylists before and can say the entire staff is fantastic! They are all very experienced and knowledgeable.

This is my favorite place to get a haircut. The staff is very good and I always get the cut I want. They always finish up with a hot towel for your face, hair wash, and shoulder massage. They are great with kids too. My boys always like getting their haircuts here.

Ive been going to Stephanie for a few years now. Shes fantastic! They go the extra mile to make sure you like what you have done. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. It’s clean and allow scheduling appointments online which is a win. Highly recommend coming here.

Simply put these people cannot cut hair to save their lives. Honestly, Ive given them several tries because its been different people. I am better off letting a blind person give me a trim. For example, now Im getting ready to go into my bathroom to fix my own hair as I dont want to be seen with some areas of my bangs being 3 inches and down to about 1/4 an inch. Look like a bloody toddler attacked me with a pair of jagged edged crafting scissors.

Ive been coming here for a few years now and have always liked the service. However when they first opened they had that cool mancave feel to the place and now it feels like another cookie cost cutters...Also there seems to be a decent amount of turn over for the stylists.

Been getting my haircut here for the past year. I am an everyday hat guy but over time ive been wearing hats less and trying new things. Corrine always makes me feel comfortable and good about myself. She is the best stylist I have had the joy of dealing with.

The last couple times I had made my appointment with Stephanie and she did a terrific job for me. I appreciated the fact that she wrote down my preferences on a card so that next time she can lookup what I liked to ensure that I get what I want. I highly recommend making an appointment online which is fast and easy and ensures that you get your haircut promptly.

Well they should change the name to boys hair house. Granted the 3 boys and I all had different stylists. The boys hair was all great, however, mine not so great, BAD actually. First in the back, one side was rounded the other squared. And my beard trim was uneven and it made no sense where she created the lines. So 4 stars for the kids and 1 star for me.

Great place for hair coloring and a haircut. I personally have come here the past 3 times for my hair colored and I absolutely love it. Service is great and peanuts everywhere while you wait.

I have been nothing but pleased with the service I receive. When I first started going there I tried a few different stylists until I found the one I liked the best and now call for appointments with her. But even the first ones I tried did a good job. No complaints here.

Quality cut however, there is always a long wait and prices are high. I would advise to go to the Barber Shop on sunset just down the road. A lot cheaper and you can get in and out without an appointment. The wait is too long here.

I go here every time for a hair cut. They do an amazing job every time. Only reason I have four stars is because they recently raised the price to $17 for a cut.

Tried to get a cut here a while ago as a walkin after web said not issue. After I thought would be celebrating next years birthday here because of the wait it went elsewhere and was served promptly. They acted like it was my privilege to enter their door. Believe me....it was not.

Dont go without making an appointment. They skip over walk ins time and time again regardless if their next appointment was early or late. Its understandable that appointments take priority, but dont say you take walk ins if youre going to make a customer wait an hour for a basic haircut. Walk in customers are still customers..... get a better system for walk ins or dont accept them....

They give good haircuts, but it’s the only men’s haircut place I know of where you basically need an appointment. Consistently nearly a 2 hour wait for walk-ins

So I wasted two trips to this place today at 8am and yesterday at1pm with confirmed appointments with the same stylist. Both days I was told that he wasnt available. Ive been here before several times with no problems but what a waste of my time which is just as valuable as theirs. Im sorry BUT a im sorry isnt enough. There are plenty of places around town to choose from. Avoid this place

Many reviews here complain about the wait times. Use their app and make an appointment. If you dont make an appointment you can still use the app to check how many people are waiting and the estimated wait time. Great haircuts with a wash and hot towel. They also straight razor shave and do waxing. The scalp treatment feels amazing.

Good hair cutters with a focus on men. Nice place with lots of TVs etc, and a good waiting room with peanuts, chairs, and couches. They say walk-ins are welcome, but the wait could be Forever, so do yourself a favor and make an appointment. You may still wait a bit, but nothing like the walk-ins.The crew is talented, but varies. Doesnt seem like you see the same cutters there over and over, more of a rotating cast of characters. So, your haircut can vary a bit in quality. Staff tends to be 20 somethings, so can be a bit chatty, which can be irksome to see when youre waiting.

Finally found where Stephanie went! Make your appointment on line. Easy to do! Make it with Stephanie. She will take the time to understand exactly what you want and will remember it for your future appointments.

I normally like taking my sons here and dont have any problems, but the last time there was a new guy I had not seen before just before Christmas 2017. He cut hair incredibly fast and he did an ok job, but never offered a hot towel or to wash his hair. I should have spoken up when it happened.

Have been here twice before to see Jonathan M. And have gotten good haircuts and great service from him. Also he has noted that he is the only guy that works there(important later in the story). Earlier this week I called and set up an appointment with Jonathan for today. I came in about 10 minutes before my appointment was about to start and gave my name and the lady behind the desk got all flustered and said Jonathan was way behind on appointments so it would probably be 30 minutes or so. I said fine as I had no place to be, and as I looked around I saw Jonathan no where.. about 10-15 minutes passed and my name gets called by another man with a deep accent (not a problem but also relevant for the story) i get up and walk back with him and he says “sit down”. I said oh I have my appointment with Jonathan and he just laughs and says “Jonathan”... about 2 minutes into my haircut I see Jonathan that I know walk out from the back and I say look there’s Jonathan! And he again just laughs it off. Now I am not being exaggerative when I say this is the worst haircut of my adult life. The things that are considered good customer service are completely ignored by this guy. He didn’t ask what I wanted on the small tv by the desk, didn’t listen when I told him what I wanted done with my hair, and at the end didn’t offer to rinse my hair for me, instead he got down some product to put in it, which I told him I would just wash out when I got home, but he proceeded to add it and then had the audacity to say “you buy?”. He also wildly cut my hair, the whole time pulling the top, scratching my neck with the razor and on two separate occasions when brushing the excess hair brushed my face and open eyes. He never asked if I liked what I got or if I needed something else. This whole process took him about 8 minutes out of the thirty minute period I had blocked off, and when we were heading to the front he asked another girl if he could “go on break now”. I then went to the front desk and asked why I got him or how I could differentiate between the guys, to which the girl said that they call him Jordan and as long as I ask for Jonathan I will be fine. I told her I did that and she said she would put a note in my file, only finally apologizing after I said I was unhappy with my experience but not offering anything in return. I will have to go to a different barbershop to get this fixed as the top is about an inch too long and the Lines are uneven. I also am in pain and have red marks all over my neck from this man erratically using his razor. I would not recommend this shop and if you do have to go here definitely ask for Jonathan M. Because apparently a first name isn’t enough to assure you a decent haircut.

The staff is very personable and Ive used the same stylist since I started going there(Sara is her name and she does an awesome job! Sunset Rd in Waukesha). I recommend this place to any man looking for an awesome haircut at an affordable price.

I walked in today for a hair cut again for the 3rd time in two months and was told there is over an hour wait if i didnt have a appointment, no customers in there accept me and four girls standing there at there work stations. Horrible attitude from receptionist who could care less.I go online to find there corporate head quarters and of course they do not have one, nor do they have a phone number to be contacted on there web page anywhere and verbiage says walk ins welcome, LOL. Called a different location to try and get an area manager or owner info and of course they do not know, she thinks its a girl named Jenny but had no info for her. NICE. i have to give one star in order to post this review, or it would be no stars.

I had a wonderful haircut by Julie (highly recommend)! I arrived a few minutes before open and waited in the parking lot. A number of stylists were gathered outside on a smoke break. One of the stylists entered at 9am and I followed. From outside I heard were not open, were not open, were not open.....Ooops I exited the shop and was greeted by Dani (one of the stylists outside) who reiterated that were not open. I apologized. She then proceeded to ask did you see the open sign?. I told her I didnt see it, but it was 9am and that I was sorry. She responded by asking if the open sign was on and proceeded to close the door and lock it-to cheers from the other stylists gathered outside. About 30 seconds later the door was unlocked and I went in to get my clip. All said I got a great haircut, but I can honestly say that I have never been spoken to in such a rude manner. I will be the first to admit that the customer is not always right, but the customer should be treated with some semblance of respect. I figured the stores manager would like to hear about the interaction I had and was informed that Dani IS the manager....Maybe it was on off day, maybe theyve been wronged by customers entering without the open sign being on.......Julie hooked it up, but Ill likely be looking out for another place to get my next haircut.UPDATE: After letting management know about my poor experience, they offered me a free haircut. I was hesitant to return, but it certainly was a nice gesture so I decided to use it. As luck would have it, Dani was the stylist that cut my hair. She did a great job and was very courteous and professional.I am very impressed with ownerships quick response and working to remedy my poor experience - it speaks volumes.

My brother went to get his hair cut and he said nothing from the top and the guy left him with barely an inch on top! It left him with not wanting to show his hair at all and wearing a hoodie because of how bad it is! Don’t get your hair cut here!! Bad listeners.

Way faster than normal plus bad job

Normally am happy with getting my hair cut here. I usually go to Lauren and she is the bomb. Awesome cuts! Today I went in and she wasnt working. Needed to get my hair done for an event tomorrow so I took whoever I could get expecting the same quality and the woman Jaylee or whatever her name was Absolutely butchered my hair. I asked her to fade my sides and she basically just shaved them up to my hair line on top. Was pressing so hard with the trimmer Im amazed she didnt scratch the side of my head. Horrible horrible experience. I wont ever come back unless I have a set appointment with Lauren.

This one is about scheduling. Ive been satisfied with the hair cuts. Saturday morning I arrived a bit prior to open and waited and was the second one in. I was told they are really moving toward appointments and I couldnt be taken. Surprising but fine thats ok I can understand that. Monday I made a 10am appointment. I show up 5 minutes early sign in and wait. To my dismay I had to get up an leave at 10:15 after waiting 20 minutes.While I was there I did notice they took a gentlemen that was a walk in prior to me with the appointment. My time is important to me, and I have things to do. If youre going to make me make an appointment.... stick to it.

Good stylus but when youve been seeing the same person there for a year straight and you call and schedule an appointment and they say that theyre not there and you walk in and your stylist is there and you are stuck with somebody else because they are not full need to get better reception as who dont hang up on you

Called to make an appointment with my favorite person, last Saturday. She was no longer employed there, so I asked for a recommendation of who would do a good job, since I needed a haircut pronto. That persons previous appointment took 20 minutes longer than allotted, so I had to wait. Thats fine, I suppose, but because the person I had scheduled with was going on lunch, she shunted me off to someone else who did not do a good job. So it took a long time, and I ended up with a substandard haircut.

The stylists there are friendly and good at what they do. the haircut included a wash and massage.

WOW... what happened to MHH?!Frequented MHH for the past two years... til my stylist left (STEPH - she was awesome). Thought Id give a new one a chance so I looked here at some reviews.. and threw the dart.I made an appointment online and showed up 10-minutes early... but still had to wait an additional 20-minutes past the time I was scheduled (she did apologize... but a heads-up upon check-in regarding the lag time would have been a courteous gesture).When I finally did sit in her chair, she asked what direction to go... and I replied with the sides/back to be taken in to about 1/2 and KEEP THE TOP THE SAME LENGTH... but put in some texture. After bringing in the sides she proceeded to go up-top and started lopping off an inch here & there - thats the idea of texture?!!When the cut was done, she never did show me the back which, after I got home, found to be all jacked up... AND WILL NEED TO BE FIXED! She almost didnt wash my hair until she asked me... seeming to be a second thought. Then, without doing the back massage thingy, she asks me is there anything else I can to for you? After my response of no, she removed the cape and immediately left... to the register... while I was left in her cube to put on my coat and gather my things I placed on the counter. So much for customer interaction.With nearly 10 other mens hair-cut shops within a 10-minute drive of this place, Ill need to rethink my options cause the chance of returning here is slim-to-none. Seems there are real reasons for a high turn-over rate of stylists at this place.Too bad... great concept; executed poorly.
