This place is terrible! customer service stinks! they use the state police as bill collectors, which is a waste of tax dollars can’t wait to call 911 and ask for uniformed officers to collect the money I’m owed.
If you rent over the weekend you pay one price for the weekend. Which was really nice, especially because we did it over a holiday weekend.
I rented a thatcher from Seaway Rental and they were so amazing and good to me. I am not particularly skilled at operating even small machinery. They walked me through the process to turn it on and run it several times, being so patient and kind. Then when I got it home, it worked for a bit, and then stopped working. They came and got it (I live less than a minute away from them), fixed it, and brought it back. They really went above and beyond to help me. At all times the lady at the front desk and the gentlemen working with the thatcher were kind and so professional. My husband has also had positive experiences renting equipment from them. We are definitely going back for all our rental needs. They did not ask me to write this review, but I felt it was necessary. After reading the other reviews I was so nervous to rent from them, so I am sharing my amazing experience so others dont miss the opportunity to work with Seaway. It would be more expensive for us to buy and store equipment that they rent out. I am so thankful to Seaway Rental for offering their service to the community.
Borrowed a 100 foot snake, they supplied parts and ramp. Very friendly service and theyre willing to help any individuals or businesses. Very happy with price and service!
Rented 2 heaters from them pick them up gotbthem back to use them neither worked the way they should had them bring me 2 more that they said they would test to ensure they worked they way they are intended aka thermostats work got them filled because the one was bone dry but somehow tested to ensure it worked well one didnt even work after I filled it up and when I called to get yet another new one was told very nasty that instead of exchanging it for one that worked they were just going to take them back do not rent from them would definitely not recommend to anyone.....
The lady at the front desk wasnt bad. I rented a snowblower on Friday because I couldnt safely get in and out of the driveway. I am new to the area due to my spouse being in the army. I rented it around 430-445 on friday. I know they close at 530. By the time I was able to get help unloading it they were closed. After 45 min of using the snowblower it quit working.By the time my neighbor was able to help me figure it out Saturday it was closed. I did trying calling multiple times knowing they were closed. They have no voicemail system set up like most businesses do. I called their 888, and 315 number. Couldnt find an email. I returned it first thing this monday morning. They all asked why I didnt call, I tried and tried leaving voicemails. Most rental companies do have a forwarding number. A man probably owner or manager came out very much upset and blaming me. Saying yes somone used it half tank of gas is left. I said yes for 45 min, then had to push it up my hill. Told me I could get a driveway done in that time, I said sorry but I didnt, I am not used to this snow . Its just me at my home right now, so I had to wait for a neighbors help. I honestly felt his customer service skills couldve been better and maybe not to be hostile towards the customer. I did get a full refund but thats not the point, they gave me bad equipment and tried blaming me. They got hostile with me. Not good customer service. Will never recommend.
Decent prices but poorly maintained equipment. I got two different kind of Sanders from this company. The floor buffer with sanding attachment immediately shredded two sanding disks. Then I came back to get a belt sander for the weekend and unfortunately found out that it broke a belt every 10 minutes . Of course I didnt find this out until they were already closed for the weekend. The belt sander was poorly maintained and would heat up so much from friction that it would tear the sanding belt. I literally had to resort to putting the entire sander in my freezer for 30 minutes at a time in order to finish my deck. That being said its still used 18 belts for a 25 x 12 deck.When I initially found out the floor buffer wasnt working they were nice and refunded the cost of the machine and just charged me the sanding disks (returned it within 2 hrs). But after bringing back the sander they just charged me the entire amount (plus an extra two days because I actually forgot to turn it back in which is my fault and I expect to pay for). Total cost for rental including belts was $135. Could have done it much cheaper with a company that takes care of their equipment.Lastly, Paul has great customer service but their front desk person acts annoyed and doesnt show care for the customer.
Rented rotary hammer drill also a 1x12 concrete bit. Hammer drill worked awesome. But got charged 21.00 just to rent the bit. The carbide on the bit was 1/2 worn out. I used it to drill out some hard ledge.Then when I returned it its my fault that the carbide on the bits worn out.now I cant rent anymore bits there place could also use some manners the public is what keeps that place going
Rented a scissor lift. No issues. Asked for a concrete sander to see if it would work for us.They dropped off one and said if this works let us know. Didn’t show us how to operate it as the guy who dropped it off didnt know how to use it. Never used it as the thing kept falling apart. Was charged over $400 for something we couldn’t even use. Needless to say won’t be going back. Found another place with prices at half the cost. Total rip off artists!
Our staff at Seaway Rental attempted to review the situation on several allegations of mistreatment of business customers and we found at least two people who did not even exist in our records. We do not know who these people are or why they posted what they did. However, we did recognize the names of some longstanding customers and we appreciate their kind remarks and our business relationship.
I have been renting from them for years. Always help load and unload, Have never had a problem with any of the equipment. I rent with no worries.
Lady at counter extremely rude. Owner seems to not care how she acts. Rented 3 wood chippers an they all had problems! Take care of ur equipment! I refused to pay an now they won’t rent to me. I would rent an pay if the equipment worked the way to was designed to.
Great prices and good equipment, 3 stars due to they only deliver so cost more unless you have a trailer

Terrible customer service ...terrible management there was a misunderstanding in prices was told the exquipment had to be returned at the same time the next day you pick it up ...so I picked up at 5 and was returning at 430 which I thought was early .. well that was not the case with a holiday so i was charged double what i though i would have to pay, when I questioned the girl at the desk about the daily rental price she was rude and called for the owner and told him I was refusing to pay ( which was not the case at all I was questioning the price since I was told 38 dollars not 83 with the tax) not only was the owner rude he did not even listen to what I had to say he asked the girl what was going on grabbed my contract yelled at me told me I needed to give him the name of the person I spoke with and I lf I didnt have a name I was lieing, threw his hands up threw my paperwork across the desk and told the lady behind the counter to run it as refuse to pay and stormed out ... I just stood there ... never been treated so poorly by a business .... I did pay for the rental .. the whole amount but I will not go back and I would never recommend this place to anyone
Doesnt take care of there equipment at all! Then charges u. Then when u need something else they refused to rent to u! Terrible customer service no maintence done what so ever to there equipment. Would not rent from them
