Perfectly fine place. Has exactly what you need most of the time. Plus they have adoption stuff which is super good. Animals want love too :).

Had a appointment canceled about 2 weeks ago Due to a groomer being gone which is OK things happen. Went today and because of medicine our dog is on and has been on for several months I was told they would not feel comfortable cutting our Malteses hair and I should find another groomer, will never be going there again!!!!

Our first visit with our newest fur baby! We found great TOUGH toys for our two Labradors - buy one, get one half off. Weve never had a bad experience at PetSmart for any of our menagerie.

Will never go there again! My dogs hair cut was horrible! Your not to shave a golden retriever because they have a double coat and they shaved her entire backend all the way down. her hair was uneven. I told them she needed a bath a good brushing and a trim. I also told them absolutely no shaving except for a couple knots she had. They were rude in the messages they left me. took over 4 hours to get her done. I had issues with petsmart groomers over 10 years ago but thought I would give them another try. Never again!

They are always nice, my picky hamster cocoa will only eat the food from there i get the treat blend so shes a little spoiled

Most variety for pet stores in the area Good trainers. They always help you find what your looking for. They never stop till your ready to check out. They help you find everything on your list. I always seem to go on the day they are busy stocking new inventory and they always stop what they are doing to help me. I did learn that they do have Hills science diet dog and cat food but if you want the prescription grade for specific pet medical needs you need to contact a local vet which they are pleased to suggest one for people like me who are not from the area. Store was clean for it being truck day and stocking shelves. If they do not know how to answer your questions they always find some one who can. I love taking my dog Jaxzie in for treats. Its her favorite place to go cause she gets to come inside the store with me to pick her own treats.

Ordered and paid online, easy walked in to pick up station and pushed the button. Took about 1 minute to get my dog food that was already loads into a cart and ready to go. Super easy and fast!

Went in looking for tough toys for my bully and was disappointed to see almost every toy was a plushie or some sort of nylabone. Its fine if you dont have heavy chewers or puppies. It was perfect for my other dog heeler/beagle about 40lbs

Mind you we have had an appointment for our dog to be groomed 3 months in advance! I just got a call saying we have to reschedule on Monday. I had to take a day off my job for this. We will not be back. This has happened multiple times. I guess we will spend $50 else where.

Will not return grooming was finding every excuse to not groom my dogs after having an appointment set for a week.

I like the prices on their aquarium fishes and supplies. Lowest in the area and decent selection of fish species. Far better than the big box pet store in Cedar Falls!!!

The staff always have a smile on and greet me as soon as I walk through the door. Lots of choices for all animals but would like it more if they had more options for cats. More medical supplies, vitamins, exersize supplies for example. Options!More is better!

The people were very friendly and helped us pick out what services would be the best for our dog. The dog was done in the time we were quoted and she looks great. Well definitely be back.

I was going to use the restroom at PetSmart in Waterloo and it was disgusting and I told the girl checking out and she just looked at me no big deal

Groomer cut my dog’s ear so bad he went to the vet. Called me was unprofessional in talking to me. She didn’t let me know what was really going on. She didn’t even seem to know what was going on. Definitely won’t be back.

I took my german shepherd husky mix to take a bath and usually they have nice groomers sadly they didnt work her anymore. I used the same furminator every time, the last 3 times i went they did not bathe her right. She would still stink as if they never even washed her. I thought it was because she was still wet but, Even after she was fully dried she still stunk. Their service was terrible, never taking my dog her again. They can’t wash a dog right.

Went there with our puppy was talking to a lady there that said she was experienced with dogs .She looked at our puppy and said it was around 8 weeks old cause the guy that gave it to us told us she was 4 weeks old .She also said our dog was full of worms so I was worried and took her to my vets and they said she doesnt have worms at all. Will never go back there .

They have extremely stressed betta fish in with other longer finned fish in community tanks. I watched the bettas repeatedly attack the fins of the other fish. Im not sure if the staff think the two bettas are docile, but it’s obviously not the case if you actually observe them. There was also dead fish in the tanks, including an angel fish that looked like it has been putrefying for a few days. A store that cant even scoop dead fish out of the tanks and that puts aggressive fish in community tanks has no business taking care of other more complex animals - or your own pet. I’d recommend supporting a smaller store or chain that keeps their fish healthy. I wont be going back. Im usually not that into being mad about fish - but it is common sense that you should not put bettas in with other similar looking fish - ESPECIALLY in a smaller in-store storage tank... although Im sure its better for the betta than being in one of those low-oxygen, cramped, disgusting cups. Dont ask them for fish advice - they do not know what they are doing. Lol.Buying a healthy non-stressed fish that doesnt live in a putrefying community tank = a healthier home tank.

I like this store for their willingness to showcase cats who are looking for homes. They do carry things other stores dont. The store is dirty and really expensive.

My item not in stock, but spoke with a very helpful associate who gave me guidance on when it would be and how to ck on it without jumping thru hoops. Very pleased. Prices better than other local pet supply stores, too! Ill be going there from now on!

Many great choices for our new family member.

Well for one they promote glofish which are just wrong to sell and buy. The staff here, although nice, most of them dont care for the animals well enough and the tanks are constantly filled with dead or sick fish as well as being very dirty. Only giving two stars because as I said before staff is generally nice and a few of them care enough to make sure the animals dont die. Cmon PetSmart, step up the game a little. At least clean the fish tanks out.

Our groomer is Caroline she has done my two girls since they were little puppies you can tell she cares about them and thats whats important to me and she always does a good job with my girls she is really so friendly and a sweetheart thank you PetSmart

Half their fish were dead, what they have for fish. I went in to buy parakeets they had none. Shelves were scarce of decorative items for the small fish tanks & It always smells like critters in there. It was very disappointing trip. I will not be returning.

I stopped by pet smart to buy a crested gecko, and one of your workers, his name was Tyler was giving us a ton of incorrect information about the gecko trying to get us to spend more money. Crested geckos do not need a heating light, they live fine in room temperature. He kept saying our gecko wasn’t going to make it 24 hours without a heating light. He was pretty rude about it. Also the set up for your lizards is pretty inhumane, and he was stressing that our setup was going to be worse than your stores? The poor gecko didn’t have light, his tank wasn’t sprayed, and he had one measly plant. Do better, fire Tyler.

If you have a new puppy that needs training or an older dog that needs a refresher then this is the place you want to go. Ask for Cherel she is amazing. She is very knowledgeable and can fix most any issue you maybe having. She treats your fur baby like her own and genuinely cares about making sure your dog and you have all the skills you need to make sure your dog is properly trained. Even the stubborn ones like mine!!

Do not expect reasonable service.We purchased an item beofe the pandemic that did ended up not work for our pet. We then went to return the item and were told that we could not and would be able to later. We then go to return the item later and are told we cannot and can only receive store credit. That is ridiculous. We should have been able to give us our money back because it was THEIR fault we could not return our product even though we attempted to return it the week after we bought it. Buy your stuff online. They will honor their return policy.

First time buying aquarium and fish, the workers seemed knowledgeable about the whole process and what needed to be done, great help.

Unfortunately I had a pretty bad experience with the grooming department. This is the 2nd time we have used this location - the 1st experience was just fine, this experience was terrible. We have a mini-golden doodle (although more midsize as he is 50 lbs) who we like to keep a little shaggy. I dont feel I was listened to on how I wanted his hair cut, and our dog ended up with a very bad haircut/experience. He had a few mated spots by his ears due to a recent treatment for ear infection, but nothing even noticeable to the eye. The employee and I seemed to agree that any mated spots would be spot cut and to still keep him at the 2 cut just like last time. I picked him up and he was completely shaved, he doesnt look anything like himself or what we had agreed upon. His muzzle was completely shaved, along with his ears and his body (which didnt have any mated hair) was shaved. You can tell hes a bit taken back with his experience because hes been acting almost sad and lethargic. Unfortunately, I will never return. I dont feel the groomer should take it upon herself on what to do without contacting the owner. Im not a professional groomer, but I know he didnt need to be shaved. I understand hair will grow back, but the principle of the situation and the service that was provided is, to me, unacceptable. I feel terrible I took him there.

We went in just to look around they have baby bearded dragons I was so excited I wanted to hold one and I really wanted to get one well it took the lady about 5 to 7 minutes to come over to unlock the thing which is understandable I get that theyre busy sometimes there are the only customers in the store and on top of that I was obviously inconveniencing her because she literally didnt even want me to hold him after I said I had one at home and Ive had him for 8 months then my daughter wanted to look at a turtle so we went to look at a turtle and she didnt even want to help us or give us any information on that we will no longer be going back there I am so sorry to anybody who gets misinformed at that store because they dont have time to tell you the proper information that you would need to know to to properly take care of an animal 😔

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of all their products. They are pet friendly and reasonably priced. I seriously enjoy being able to take my pet into the store with me for a fitting on collars and harnesses Etc. I enjoy watching other customers with their pets as well as having other remarks about my pet. Clean and friendly I love PetSmart!

Very friendly helpful staff with everything you could possibly want or need for your pet however, a bit overpriced.

This is the only place I get my dogs food. He requires a limited ingredient food due to allergies, and they have the best price. Plus, I have their app and get a coupon once a month, and earn points towards $ off which really helps. The staff is generally really nice and greets me every time I come in, even if its ten minutes to close!

Their spa hours do not match their website or their phone system. They are short staffed. Not the fault of the workers. The company is hurting themselves. I doubt I will ever return.

Stock was pretty low and prices seemed higher than normal.

For the past year maybe alittle over things are scarce. Last 3 to 4 visits completely out of crickets. Staff hard to find.

There is an older saleswoman who was so helpful in finding appropriate options for kitten and dog food. She wasnt trying to push one brand over the other. She was knowledgeable and you could tell she was a pet lover too.

Love the ability to bring your pet in. Was able to try stuff for my inlaws dog before we bought it. He was able to pick out the toys he likes and treats.

Have great products but you will pay for the better products.

I took my Pomeranian to be groomed. When he got home I noticed he was holding his head strange. I picked him up to examine him. He started yepping, I took him to the vet right away. The vet said they had hurt his neck. The manger at the Waterloo store said it wasnt their fault. I called corporate and explained what had happened. They told me to call the manger again, so I did. Long story, short. After going back and forth with them, they finally paid his vet bills. The manager said they werent admitting fault by the paying for the vet bills. He had to be crated for 3 weeks and on pain meds.

Great managers, friendly and willing to give you the best deal. Highly recommend definitely will be returning there for future pet needs. :-)

Its an older store so its age shows and could use some updates. Otherwise, the employees seem very friendly and ready to answer any questions.Kids enjoy looking at their birds, cats and fish. Ive never had to take a pet to get groomed but it looks like they have a great setup in the back with big windows to watch as animals get hair cuts and other grooming.

Great place for all types of pets. Various types of dog food and found my rare one without peas in it for our poodle.

I love this store so much! They have such a good selection of fish. They even have adorable cats (on the left side of the grooming station, in the corner) even dog training and cool reptiles. Birds, hamsters and Guinea pigs. When it comes to fish tank accessories and the fish tank itself, it can become a little pricey and my filter (the pump itself) never lasts very long. Pets must be on a leash, sometimes the cashier will even give the dog a treat if he is being good, service is amazing and everyone is super friendly there. Tons of toys, food collars. This place cant get any better!
