A lot parking space the gym is bigger lot of machines the restrooms are a little old but its nice but cardio zone is bigger and 30mins workout is really big and nice

This is my favorite Planet Fitness! The staff are professional, welcoming, and fun. The facility is always clean and they will actively encourage members to sanitize their stations after use. The selection of machines and equipment is really great, also.

Ive been going to this gym for about a year Never had any problems.. Recently a new A assistant manager was hired And was extremely rude to me because I was wearing jeans. She asked me to leave the gym because I was wearing jeans. I explained to her I was never previously told I wasnt supposed to wear jeans She said thats why I was hired To straighten things out. I feel that thats extremely unprofessional and as a customer could have been talked too differently. This happened today August 23rd at 5:00 a.m.

The gym is well equipped. Loved the variety of dumbbells available on their stands. They even had in between weights such as 7.5, 12.5, 17.5 lb and so on, and I havent seen those before to the other locations Ive visited.

I thoroughly enjoy the waterbury branch PF, there’s always personnel available for questions and help, in addition to enforcing and abiding by safety & sanitation protocol. The PF team is friendly and personable which makes the visit very pleasant.

I called spoke to a gentleman named Tim O. who helped me out with all the questions I had regarding billing and transfer. Thought I was speaking to a manager the whole time lol, but great to know they hired someone who is knowledgeable about its company’s policy. Great Job Tim

Journee is the best...After hours of me searching my house and calling planet fitness for a missing phone, I went there and the boy who said it was not there got her.. she found my phone.. she has a good work attitude and deserves a bonus... I love planet fitnesses anywhere else but Waterbury the employees have attitudes you will be guaranteed to get anything you leave off your body taken they act like they dont know anything the tanning beds are broken over here half the machines are broken over there and its not clean at all spare yourself from visiting this planet fitness here...

The gym itself is pretty clean no complaints there, there doing a great job amidst the pandemic. Only complaint is the mens bathroom always smells horrible. Investing in some freeze plug ins would be needed improvement.

I see members with no mask on.. and Im in a corner using my jump rope social distancing and I was told I cant use a jump rope and I was asked to leave that makes no sense

Extremely long story short.Wasnt aware I was a member until I was charged.I was member of Aspire gym.100% competition to planet fitness.Unfortunately Aspire closed.Planet fitness steps in buys out all the contracts.Allegedly emailed/called everyone. Except meCharged my account without my permission.Visit the location (PF) ask questions on how they got my information.Was explained that they bought all the contracts once Aspired closed.Already took the loss with the Aspire closing.Its terrible of Planet fitness which Im not even a member of charge my account.I wouldnt even be writing a review if I got a refund.Would have never gone there if my account wasnt charged.Im not a Member. Just wanted a refund to a gym I didnt even sign up for.

Very clean. The staff are very friendly, helpful and wear masks. Plenty of sanitizing stations, too.

Finally instituted a face mask policy, but a couple of Karens blatantly refusing to comply. Could do a lot more to make me feel safe.

Inexpensive place to work out. Bring one person as a guest. Get a tan or use one of their massage chairs/bed

On my first day @ planet fitness they revoked my member ship and called the cops on me and violated the code of ethics,,, the company embrassed me in front of the other members, I watched members leave because of the unfair treatment I was given I DIDNT DO ANYTHING WRONG TO GET THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT I WILL BE FILING FOR A LAWSUIT !!!!!!!!

Im a black card holder ($22 a month) so can stop at any PF when Im out and about. The equipment is always fresh and new and its a very nonjudgemental fitness club. Ive been to several of them and theyre always clean!

Edit to remove my complaint, it took a few return visits to resolve and refund the most recent charge so Im happy with that part. I had this gym when I was younger and liked it, but I need a gym with childcare and a closer location. Im glad one young man was able to recognize my complaint, discover the error, and fix the issue so I didnt have to keep coming all the way back and waiting around. At the end of the day, its about customer service and repeat business. I may very well come back in the future when the kids are a little older.

I enjoy being able to come and workout here without any stress, but the real stress starts when you wanna go use the hydro machines or the massage chair. They should give you 2 coins at a time to actually equal 10 minutes but instead they give one coin and ask you to come back and get the second one. And with the hydro massage, they don’t even let your partner come and sit with you inside. I expect to come here to get stress free from school and work but just this specific employee always picks on me. Oh and I’m a Muslim woman who wear a hijab. But I try to stay positive and not think she’s being discriminative 🤷🏽‍♀️

Decent staff most of the time. Equipment needed to be replaced two years ago. I always get hit on by the dudes at the front desk so that’s fun.

Went in after a few years and it looks like everything is brand new. Great job on keeping everything looking new.

Just a heads up for anyone wanting to discontinue their membership at the end of the contract - they will bill you anyway. I tried to quit in October and was told that to avoid an early cancellation fee I needed to come back between November 10 and December 10. I went back today (December 1) and terminated my membership. The document I signed said balance due $0, but when I got home there was a pending debit charge on my account for $41.48. Hmmmm...so I called PF and ANDREW was useless. He said the fee was for my yearly renewal (I am not renewing) and that I would have needed to quit 7 days ago in order to avoid the fee. When I repeated to him what I was told by the other associate, he clearly did not care that I had been misled, intentionally or otherwise. He said there was nothing that could be done to refund the charge. I asked to speak to someone higher up and he said he could put me in touch with his regional assistant manager but that they would say the same thing. Thanks, Andrew. So I called my bank and stopped payment on the charge instead. PF Waterbury will get a big fat $0 out of my account and a scathing review on every relevant website I can find.

This gym is always clean. The people who go to the gym are nice and sometimes the people who workout here help us. They have great machines and great treadmills. They have a water fountain to whoever needs it and it also has a place to refill water bottles.

Horrible individual PF would advise you to go to naugatuck or somewhere else got into a accident chiropractor recommends I stay out the gym so I cancel the membership turns out the person never put the cancel in so they charge me for 2 more months and the managers acting like Im lying or something I didnt know I would have to record my interaction with these people for something so freaking simple STAY AWAY

This is a very good gym always room to do your thing. Employees are rude and just stand around when you need help hey only check people’s cards as they come in. Tried to buy a drink and was at the front desk for 5 min while they were on their phone avoiding me. Great place bad employees so if you want to do your own thing with no interaction go here otherwise try another place where they train good employees to be nice and appreciate people.

The staff here has always been great. Equipments new and place is clean. My only complaint is towards planet fitness in general. MORE FREEWEIGHT! Other than that I cant complain. Stay fit. Aloha

My fiancé and I were a buyout from the old Aspire gym nearby, and were told we were not on auto renew. Yet when my contract expired I was charged almost 30 dollars. I went there within 48 hours of being charged to dispute it and was stonewalled and told that they could not refund my money, by employee Patrick. Struggling young families don’t have 30 dollars for you to take when we are not using your gym. You should be ashamed of yourself. Bad business practices and corporate greed.

I use to Love this gym. However, I think it could have more leg room to move around. More up to date equipment. Spin cycle, kick boxing, zumba. Dust free and more germ free. I see that the users dont wipe the equipment down after every use. They Just hop and go. Its just over crowed. . You get what you pay for.

Has all the equipment you need to whip yourself into shape. They have personal trainers to help you focus on certain areas you want to work on. They have tanning booths,massage chairs and also a red light booth which helps with your skin. Locker rooms have lockers,showers and toilets which are nice and clean. If you need a water or protein shake during or after your workout,they have that for members at a discounted price. They also have tanning lotions and special glasses for tanning booths available. Great place with everything you need.

The machines looked very well taken care of. The atmosphere was so positive and welcoming. The staff is stellar. There’s one woman who works there named Arianna, she is super nice and always makes sure my experience is a great one!

Just in a rough part of town. Dont leave anything in your car doors. The inside has seen better days. But then again its a pf you get what you pay for

If you plan on going here don’t have your windows rolled down during the heat because people like to throw wood chips from the ground all in your car. Happened to the car next to me also. Ive also heard cars get broken into often at this location. Must be salty people who can’t afford cars so they like to destroy what they can’t afford. If you go here, make sure you don’t drive a nice car. Something might happen to it. Happened to me on a slow mid day so anything’s possible. I’d love to say more but I have to go vacuum up my car now because someone threw wood chips in it, I’m sure he would of liked to do more damage but had to go catch the bus before it left. I won’t be back to this location, unless they hire parking lot security guards. Scum location.

Great gym here in Waterbury love how much equipment they have at this gym!!! Good for all ages and opened late.

I used to go here in high school and now that I moved back to Connecticut, I decided to come back here. Planet fitness has a reputation of being a bad gym for the more hardcore fitness people but this place in the exception. They have plenty of squat racks, benches, and weights that get heavy enough for virtually anyone to get a solid workout in. I regularly bring in a gallon jug or large water bottle or whatever and wear whatever I want to workout in and Ive never had an issue. The facility is always spotless and you rarely ever have to wait for a machine or bench to be opened (especially if you go in the mornings). The customer service has never been an issue for me either but I usually go have them scan my card and thats the entire interaction.The main reason I come here is price. It is by far the cheapest gym in the area yet still better quality overall than most gyms. The only real downside is you cant do deadlifts but that isnt a deal breaker for me.

Great staff as well as a very clean gym. Lots of equipment available even when the gym is packed. Great environment that doesnt have rude people. Nice plus is the massage chairs and water pulse massage beds. 5 out of 5 from someone who is there 6 days a week.

First of all anyone joining needs to know that its not $10 a month or $20 a month but they add in a $40 annual fee on top of that plus tax. So when you join this place it already leaves a bad taste in your mouth.Now let me say that the Waterbury Planet Fitness is THEE worst gym I have ever stepped foot in. I dont even want to waste time discussing the bad about this piece of S!%# gym because they dont care and only cater to people who are clueless about working out. By locking people into a 1 year contract, they feed off of peoples good intentions of thinking they will stay at the gym for years when in reality they know the average person stops going within 2 months of joining. Just everything about this place is disgusting. The auto response they will leave after this review says everything else.

Price good if you dont mind little things like someone doing floor exercises in between the weight machines instead of the designated area for that, for myself it was distracting and frustrating at times. They do have a area for floor work outs with mats so people can exercise the way they like

Bad experience with Planet fitness in Waterbury, the gym, so they just want your money and do not actually Care about you making progress. I opened two membership by mistake and I called the Gym on that day to cancelled one of the memberships, I was an told by one of the staff that they did not see me in the their system and now they went to my account and charged me twice for two different memberships.Now they want me to pay $58.00 Cancellation fee. They are crazy, Im just going to call my bank and block them off my account.Theyre a bunch of thieves.Helpful?

Officially done, were still in a pandemic and planet fitness decided to charge me without notice of them opening up or me being charged. Even with the spread of coronavirus, they still want you to walk in a crowded area, gym, to cancel. Take my money without notice but I have to cancel face to face?even though there are 145,000 people dead in this country. Im over planet fitness

Better progress in regards to the machines....staff is super lazy, but are quick to make unflattering comments about members regarding their attire which had to do with religion, not to mention lack of corporate experience in management and etiquette training within the staff....Ive been. Member 5 years or so and the last few months have been the worst!

This gym is very clean and tidy. However working out in the summer is miserable. They have fans that are turned on high but it is not nearly enough for a comfortable work out. I do heavy cardiac work outs and it is impossible to cool down at this gym. I have said something to the staff and they said theres nothing they can do about it.

Hoddie on music in get that work in. Just dont look up people like to chat lol. Great environment

Not bad for what u pay. The one thing I hate is that they have one incline bench and for whatever reason people there seem to think that its cool to use it as a squat rack staff doesnt address this issue ever. Again people incline bench is for chest Squats work your legs.

They are going down hill. Their staff is getting lazy, Not answering the phones but can text in a heartbeat on their personal phone, really lazy to help look up members (she told me I should download the app and figure it out outside because she was oh so busy talking about her personal life to another coworker), its not so clean anymore. They used to be nice I used to love this gym, not anymore. I do want to point out their is a staff member there secretly taking pictures of a guy working out and laughing. I find that unacceptable, rude, and disrespectful. Hes working out trying to get in shape so much for a judge free zone. I just decided to cancel my membership. It was worth finding another gym. Rather be somewhere where the staff is alert, wanting to help, and not sharing their miserable status of their job title. :/

Great spacious gym with a lot of machines, but its not too secure. My car was broken into here and it was parked right in front under the camera and they couldnt see who did it.

One of the better PFs I’ve been to. I showed up during the 6:00 PM rush and never had to wait on equipment.

These gyms serve pizza and bagels. 🙄. Don’t forget your tootsie roll on the way out. For a place that claims to be a “judgment free” zone, they’re very specific about not letting those considered to be physically fit inside. If you’re looking for a gym, try Edge or Big Sky.
