Worst experience I have ever had getting a tow. They were rude on the phone, and said they werent wasting their time with our tow. Also didnt tell AAA they werent coming to get the car. When we asked for the name of the company because we were referred through AAA, we were hung up on. Thanks for wasting OUR time.

The worst most corrupted shop. The state troopers use them so they can rob your car and hold it hostage until you pay $400 rather than towing it to your choice of place. The state troopers lie and calling it “avenue towing” when it’s avenue auto sales. When I disagreed with them “totaling it” and getting my car back they damaged my car on top of that. I am suing them. Look for it if you want to join the suit

I took the 50 minute drive from my house to look at a vehicle being sold here. I arrived shortly after noon on a Saturday to find the office closed - when the hours listed on the website as well as the office door said they were open until 2 on Saturday.Although the vehicle I was interested in was there and looked to be in better condition than I expected, I took my business to a different dealer.

Old school family business. No tricks up their sleeve .While no one does business on a handshake anymore, I believe I would have the same good result here if I did. Large assortment of low cost cars ($2,500-$3,000) in good condition, Also offering higher end cars as well .Bought a car over a year ago from them. They made good on some issues that went undetected by my mechanic when I took it to the pre purchase inspection.(Even though they had NO legal obligation to do so.) I now use them as my mechanic, even though I was happy with my prior mechanic and wasnt looking for a replacement. Good location, comfortable waiting room, they get me in and out in a reasonable amount of time and their prices are very competitive. (They even spoil their customers a little by not nickel and diming everything!)The car I purchased was only slightly over $2,000. They immediately offered over 6 choices in that range, that met the criteria I was looking for- both on and off their premises .GREAT HIDDEN LITTLE GEM OF A BUSINESS.

Nothing but problems starting the very next day after buying my car! Bolts fell off my breaks, twice! Radiator starting leaking! And just shy of a month, the transmission started slipping, spark plugs 3 and 5 stopped firing, due to bad plugs and wires, and multiple fuses blew! They are lucky I paid just shy of the Lemon Law Standards, because I did contact a lawyer! Dont EVER buy from Avenue Auto in Waterbury!
