I appreciated RPStaffing being on my team during the quarantine last spring. I knew that someone was still looking for work for me, even when it felt like nothing was happening. Then, my recruiter Nicole found me a position for the summer, which could have lasted longer had I not found another job. I highly recommend her.
I have worked at RPStaffing for about a year and a half as a full time Recruiter. RPStaffing will equip you with invaluable skillsets that will facilitate your career. During my time here I was fortunate to have a supervisor who trusted in me and allowed me to have full ownership over my role. The pay structure was FANTASTIC and the benefits are highly competitive. RPStaffing is comprised of a team of driven hardworking professionals that are passionate about their work, their clients, and their candidates and who make work fun. I would highly recommend to anyone who is driven and looking for a challenge!
I was with RP staffing for about seven months this year. In 2018, I had contacted RP staffing and I never heard back after meeting with one of their recruiters - I cant remember her name. However, they redeemed themselves in the following year (2019). Overall, I had no problems this year. I found my experience with RP staffing to be very smooth in the onboarding process and they placed me with a great company (metro accessible, low stress, positive work environment) in less than two weeks of contacting RP staffing. I really needed a job after switching careers, and was willing to take anything at that point. My recruiter was Gaby. She was super efficient, had great communication skills, and was easy to talk to and she followed up with me several times which I appreciated. Other hiring agencies sometimes leave you hanging. I would definitely recommend RP Staffing for recent grads struggling to get a job during this pandemic.
Special thanks and shout out to Nicole who was so awesome and patient! With everything going on, she was very hands-on about communicating and finding the right opportunity for me. Very excited to start my new opportunity soon and work in the field I have always wanted to be involved in.
Nicole reached out to me with multiple opportunities and was very positive, supporting and encouraging throughout the process. I really appreciated that. I had a great experience with RPStaffing and know that it will be the agency I will reach out to if I ever need a staffing agency in the future.
RP Staffing is an organization cut from a different cloth. Their process is thorough, efficient, and provides results! The recruitment team offers superior resume and interviewing advise. You’d be hard pressed to find another team that’s more professional and dedicated to their candidates.
Amazing experience with this company. I worked with Nicole and she was exceedingly helpful throughout the interview and hiring process and has continued to check-in after having started at my new job. I was not sure what to expect working with a staffing company and she really exceeded all my expections. Thank you Nicole!
Very quick and efficient. I entered their candidate pool and had a position within two weeks. Got exactly what I needed out of working with them and am grateful for the experience. Highly recommend if someone needs help getting their foot in the door somewhere in an administrative capacity.
I had a great experience with RPStaffing. I worked with Nicole who was always kind and honest. She really took the time to get to know me and explained their current assignments/industries. They have wonderful opportunities that can really help you improve your professional skills. The on-boarding process is quick and efficient too! I have worked with other temp agencies, and found that this one was the most effective for me because they actually found me an opportunity that was meaningful and matched my interests. I would highly recommend RPStaffing to job seekers.
I’m so grateful to have found RP Staffing and in particular Alex Postow. He wasted absolutely no time in helping me find my next step, and was a pleasure to work with throughout the (stressful!) job search process. Alex is direct, professional, genuine, and committed to finding the best fit for both candidate and client. Thanks to him, I landed a phenomenal position with a fantastic organization that I could not be more excited about. If you have the opportunity to work with Alex and RP Staffing, do it.
I had an incredible experience working with RP Staffing! Alex and Eric are tenacious and really work hard to ensure that both their candidates and clients are extremely satisfied with their choices! The care they give in making sure their candidates are well informed and prepared is second to none!Thank you both for your help!
RP Staffing is honestly the best agency Ive ever had the pleasure of experiencing! I received a call from Nicole about a position literally the day after my initial interview. Nicole and Eric are both professional and genuine. Its palpable that they truly care about finding the perfect fit for both the job seeker and the client.
I found Nicole incredibly helpful while I was looking for a position. She took the time to know my interests and connected me with opportunities that matched them. She always checked in on me during the week and made sure I was prepared for interviews.
Dont waste your time. They provide a vague position description (not naming the companies) and then review your resume, call you, ask you to complete an online assessment, then ask you to come in for an interview with them (mind you, this isnt even for the job yet, this is all just to gauge you before you can even begin the actual job app.) In the time you take to do all this you might as well just be applying for these positions yourself, save yourself the time and effort. Also Im pretty sure this company used to be called something else, then rebranded because of their poor reputation. So, not to be trusted, nor worth the effort, you could do all this yourself in less time and probably with more success.
It is obvious from the start that their recruiters really care. Felt like more than just a number.
The team is great, knowledgeable and works hard to get to know the candidates personally to place them in the right jobs. Definitely a great company to work with!
I have been job hunting in the DC area for almost a year, so Ive gotten pretty familiar with the temp agency world. RP Staffing was one of my favorite agencies to work with. I found out about them when one of their recruiters reached out to me on LinkedIn. A lot of temp agencies are just interested in filling vacancies. However, Sam (whos since moved on) was really good at checking up on me to see how I was liking the assignment, and to let me know what new assignments he had available that might match my interests. As a recent grad who was trying to discover a career path, I really appreciated the time and interest he took in my professional development. He was able to match me with an assignment that gave me the experience I needed to land a permanent job. If Im ever unemployed again, RP Staffing will be one of the first organizations I call.
Love the company, Nicole is extremely helpful, attentive and a great communicator.
I had the pleasure of working with Mary Hannah. She has a great, positive attitude and every single time I called on her, she was there to help with whatever need I had. I always recommend Ruthie Postow to people I come in contact with that are looking for a job or a career change. If need, I will definitely use this company again in the future.
Their recruiters are clearly making an effort to support candidates during a very difficult time.
RuthiPostow (Eric and Amy in particular) were amazing and found me my first job in DC with a great employer. Theyve been incredibly helpful and supportive. Ive already recommended them loads to friends who recently moved to DC. The truth about jobs in DC is that you have to be humble, take what you can get, and hustle your butt off until something better comes along. The negative reviewers seem to be a really entitled bunch. RP has been super professional and works well with those who are willing to have an open mind and work hard, two absolute requirements for success in this town.
I received a call from Kirstin and she sounded extremely positive with flattering language and I was called in for an interview. Having worked in West Africa and India, I believe I was extremely suited to be a part of RPs candidate pool. And after scheduling an in person interview, I was sent a computer test via email as a performance task. Apparently, I did not meet expectations and my interview was cancelled. I still dont know how the tasks on the test align with any of the job description requirements I am looking for. Thoroughly dissappointed, unprofessional and outright wrong. Search for talent who will be good at the job without the use of a 1980s standardized test. Will never look at this agency again.
Alex was great. I know my experience is probably a little more unique than others, but I interviewed with Alex on a Friday, had my interview with a company the following Monday, and had a job offer by noon on Tuesday. Thank you to the RPS team!
I had a great experience with the staff at RPStaffing. Ariel wanted not only to get to know my professional past, but the kind of person I am trying to be. I was provided with multiple opportunities within a week and I was fortunate to find employment.
I worked very close with Alex who found me a direct hire position in less than 3 weeks. He was amazing! I went through several stages of the interview process with Alexs support to back me. Alex made the entire interview and hiring process seem so easy and had me very worry and stress free. I know it would have been a lot harder to obtain the kind of position I have now without Alexs help. I cant thank Alex and Eric enough!
I cant say enough about my experience with Ruthi Postow Staffing!A few months ago I was out of work and looking for a new job, on a strict timeline. I contacted Mary Hannah at RPS and had a quality temp to hire job in a week and a half. During the interview, I felt like she really listened to my needs and what I was looking to get out of my employment. I was placed with an organization that was a great cultural fit for me (the most important item on my wish list) and now a couple months down the line, this organization is bringing me on full-time, earlier than expected.Thank you so much, RPS and Mary Hannah, for being a soft place to land during a very tumultuous time in my life, for consistently checking up on me to make sure I was thriving in my new workplace, and for truly making the world a better place through just being good people.10/10, would recommend to a friend.
This is an interesting company as they are stuck in the 1980s. All of their communications are strictly over the phone. Nothing they do will they put in writing.Meaning they will only get subpar candidates and hence are not worth the time nor the expense to utilize their services.
RP Staffing found my profile through LinkedIn and saw that I was job searching in the Washington DC area. They contacted me directly and brought me in for an interview to help better identify what kind of roles I was looking for. Within days of that initial interview they contacted me with details of a temp-to-hire role with a local company that they thought Id be a good fit for. Long story short, I am now four months into my new role - one which I would never have known existed without RP Staffing! I would highly recommend RP Staffing to anyone searching for temp or temp-to-hire positions in the DC area. Id also like to give a special shout-out to the recruiter I worked with, Riley Catone, for being so helpful and supportive throughout the entire process!
Quick and efficient process. I was contacted by Alex about an open position and once I expressed my interest things progressed rather quickly. Alex is the very direct and down to business type, I liked this as it didnt waste anyones time. Because of that nature, I was fortunately placed in my new position (prep, interview, offer, and 2 week notice) in 4 weeks. Thanks to Alex, I have been in my new position about 2.5 months now that I am very pleased with it, has a shorter commute, great work environment, and room to grow.
BEWARE many Staffing agencies have now turned into a total marketing company and Ruthi Postow is one of them. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!!! I dont write reviews but they made me very upset. One of the recruiters called me back after reviewing my resume saying how she loves my resume and how I would make a great potential candidate. She asked me to come in the office so I go to the office ask for the recruiter and they sent me to another recruiter. The person I had the interview with was a complete joke. In person I was told that they dont have many positions right now but they brought me in just in case something comes up and they usually get assignments that would match my experience and qualifications once in awhile. The recruiter also said the interview went very well and how he was impressed. After the interview, I even called the first recruiter I spoke with and she denied how she told me she has many assignments right now. Like seriously, its not rocket science to find someone an assignment to do with a degree and many years of experience providing admin support. Even the online test I took I scored high. I think if they meet a certain quota they get promoted. People are really in a need of a job and youre playing games with them thats very wicked FAKE!!! BUNCH OF LIARS!!!!
Very unprofessional! It was a scam. They will call you and say they have a opportunity for you, ask you to fill out multiple test, bring you in for a in person interview. When asked about the opportunity, they ran me in circles and never talk about the opportunity that called me in for a interview. They take your ID and social security card for their records and never follow up with you again. It was all a lie. WHY ASK ME FOR MY PERSONAL INFORMATION IF THERE IS NO JOB?Be ware, this company will only waste your time. Recruiters are rated by how many new individuals they interview. They will act like their is a new job you are being screened for but in reality you are just another number.Past recruiter promised to send me my past test results to use with other recruiting agency, never heard anything back.
Fantastic experience with above and beyond staff like Nicole, who gave me better and simpler interview prep and career advice than any career center Ive been to.I will recommend them to anyone I know who finds themselves on the job hunt.
I dont know what all the negative reviews are about. I started as a temp here. My starting salary was just over $20 an hour. I was fresh out of college and had no idea what I wanted to do. I had two interviews within four days. I do have a college degree. I do not consider that picky. My degree is in Religion and I still managed to get a corporate job.The only negative that I have with this company is that they do not assist you if are dismissed from a position. I worked four several months within a company that downsized and they could not longer afford to keep me. Under Ruthi-Postow policy, the staffing agency stated that they could not longer work with me because I was laid off. The company even provided a letter detailing what was happening, as well as a reference. However, I was not allowed to return for more jobs. However, there are plenty of job agencies in DC...some are better and some are worse.
Ruthi Postow Staffing got me a couple of short assignments and the third one was temp-to-hire and it ended up not being a good fit and after that assignment I tried contacting them and they wouldn’t even respond. It’s fine if you don’t want to give me any more assignments but it’s really unprofessional to ignore people. I believe my main contact was named Maura.
PRSStaffing has truly helped me find my dream job!! It took me months to just get an interview and RPStaffing helped me land a job in just a snap!!
I was fortunate to work directly with Mr. Alex Postow. His expertise and enthusiasm for finding the perfect placement for me was unparalleled! He really takes the time to meet with you to help you determine where you want to go in the future. I am a extremely excited about my new position and new company. Cheers to Mr. Postow!
They did a great job! I was constantly employed with decent salaries and within two months I had a permanent position lined up. Couldnt ask for anything more.
AVOID AVOID AVOID..... Just like what a previous reviewer said, they are a complete waste of your time and I wish that I could score them lower. I was contacted by a recruiter, Amy, via LinkedIn to set up a telephone screening. Following this, she invited me for an in-person interview in which I was instructed to clear out two hours of my time for and she also sent me an online assessment just to see where I was skills wise in her words. The morning of the meeting, she called me to cancel our meeting because my score hadnt met a certain threshold. Her lack of communication that the assessment was actually a test and the games that were clearly being played were utterly unprofessional.
I could not have had a more pleasant experience working with Alex Postow. He contacted me via LinkedIn and immediately went to work to find me a position in a great company. There are a few hoops you have to jump through like a typing test and microsoft proficiency tests, but that is to be expected with a staffing agency. From the first day he contacted me to my first day working, the process took about a month from start to finish. Alex was very straight forward and coached me through the entire application and interview process. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new job to go through Alex.
I could not have been luckier to have landed here during my post-college job search. I had gone to one or two other staffing agencies prior, with poor experiences.Mary-Hannah contacted me on LinkedIn after I had stopped my full-time job search and had started working at a restaurant as a server, looking for a, real, job in the little downtime I had. I was delighted that she contacted me, and scheduled something fairly soon. The online office software skills test was overly fair and easy - there was a walk-through tutorial you could do before each test; this wasnt trying to trap somebody through tricky questions. Typing speed test was totally expected/normal.In the office, the grammar test seemed a little silly to me, but honestly, after seeing how some of my classmates writing even in my senior year of college, I can understand why they would need one. I would definitely require one for everybody. I saw a review that seemed insulted at being given the test - this is boiler plate, even to my new to the industry self. The interview was great; it was more than just an interview, but the panel I met with seemed genuinely interested in seeing me grow. I felt incredibly optimistic after leaving. As I was already gainfully-employed, although just waiting tables, Mary-Hannah didnt bother me with little here and there temp assignments for a day or two, or even a couple weeks to a month. I told her I would quit my current job to do that, so that I would hopefully get in the system more as someone who goes to the assignment and is professional, but she knew that wasnt in my best interest. She did find me *one* three-day assignment, which was perfect. I was able to get the days off of work, and get myself in the system as somebody reliable, without having to leave my current, full-time job.Maybe another month or two after that, I received a call on a Thursday, just after the lunch rush at the restaurant where I was working, while I was about to clock out for the day. She had a full-time, temp-to-perm position, at just under $20 an hour (for someone with the barest of experience outside of restaurants, that seemed fair enough) for me, which would start on the Monday coming up (in four days). I looked into the company a little bit, saw on Glassdoor that they dont beat their employees (joke), and happily accepted the position. From phone call asking me about interest, to being confirmed to come in on Monday, was maybe all of two hours.I started the job on Monday, and as soon as the 680 hours (the equivalent of 17 weeks at 40 hours a week) were up, the company I was temping with hired me on to start on full-time contract with the company the literal first minute I was over the 680 hours (the company has to pay Ruthi Postow extra to buy out your contract earlier, so youll almost always be waiting the full 17 weeks).Im now working somewhere doing exactly what I was hoping to do after college, on a full-time, yearly contract with benefits and an incredible, employee-friendly (to the MAX) company. I couldnt be happier in my life right now with what Im doing, and if it hadnt been for Mary-Hannah contacting me, I would probably still be serving the same people at lunch that I now am.In fact, I referred a friend to Mary-Hannah, and he got some incredible positions for what he wanted, and all within maybe a month at most, probably faster. When I was first contacted on LinkedIn, to when I started the temp position that is where I now work, was about 3.5 months. Obviously, at the time, it felt like forever, but looking back, I think thats pretty fair.I graduated from college (BA psychology) in June. Mary-Hannah contacts me in September. I start the temp-to-hire position in January, and am hired on full-time in May. That timeline works for me.
They had promised me a role which I interviewed for and had been accepted to. I had another interview that day and asked if it was ok to give them a final answer by the end of the next day and they said it wasnt a problem. Next day rolls in they call me saying they decided to give the position promised to me to someone else because they thought I was overqualified based on the other jobs I was interviewing for. Told them never to contact me again.
This happened in January 2019 and is an actual, truthful experience review with this temporary agency, RP Staffing also known as Ruthi Postow Staffing Inc. The recruiter (Ms. Riley Catone) contacted me by telephone asked me to take an online skills assessment, and then followed with an in-person interview. When arriving at the in-person interview, the receptionist at Ruthi Postow Staffing Inc. informed me that I must take a grammar test. I missed the unknown required grammar cut-off point by a few points and then the recruiter (Ms. Riley Catone) said to me, “We cannot help you. Go back to your previous temp agency - Randstad Office and Administration and ask them for a job.” Ruthi Postow Staffing Inc. declined to help me and told me to go back to the temp agency that I last worked with which was Randstad and ask them for a job. Randstad and other temp agencies do not specialize in my desired career field and most temp agencies solely specializes and work in the office administration industry only. Temp agencies and staffing agencies do neither specialize nor work in the journalism industry, broadcast journalism industry, or television news industry. Ruthi Postow Staffing Inc. truly wasted my time and invited me for an in-person interview all for nothing. If you are an entry-level jobseeker or a job seeker or college student/graduate looking for an entry-level job in journalism, broadcast journalism or television news, this is neither the temporary staffing agency nor recruiters for you as this agency will not help at all with your career endeavors! For everyone else, do not use this temporary staffing agency!
Alex is by far the most attentive, communicative and focused recruiter I have ever worked with. Although I was first skeptical when Alex initially approached me with an employment opportunity via LinkedIn... it didn’t take long to realize that this strategy is part of his thorough nature and relentless determination to align his clients with the best possible hire.Alexs level of professionalism, expertise and dedication is unparalleled. He also works very quickly… which is a refreshing change in a city of full of slow-paced bureaucracy, where the typical hiring process can take weeks if not months. If you are ready to take your career to the next level, then do not hesitate to get in touch with Alex. Believe me, you will be glad you did!
I was contacted by Alex in the process of trying to search for a position in the DMV area. Alex is direct and will get right to business which is really helpful. Alex really directs you to the right position that fits your skillset, and personality. The firm doesn’t just help you find a job they set you up for success.
Shame Shame Shame Shame. I should have known this by the outdated office they so-call conduct business in. Ruthless Postow Slacker, Inc. Huge waste of time. You take a Microsoft office exam (typical of a staffing agency), then you come in to the office and wait for 45 minutes after your scheduled interview time. They give a grammar test to take and a long application to fill out. Like get over yourself. Oh, and dont worry they never return your calls or emails. #Goodbye
Wish I could rate these people lower. I have a Masters degree in Publishing, had more than 10 years of experience as a writer and editor at the time, and I was seeking out a managerial or directors position. APS knew this of course, but it wasnt enough to stop Alex Postow from giving me a basic spelling and proofreading assessment, as one might take in pursuing an entry-level or office assistants position. As an African American woman I was particularly insulted. Alex continued to contact me afterward in order that I follow up to take a basic Microsoft Word exam, which had nothing to do with my career goals or anything else about me. I never responded. Grungy, drab offices and Alexs used car salesman facade gave me all the added encouragement I needed to find help elsewhere.
Our company received a unwelcomed solicitation call from Eric was very, very unprofessional in speaking with me. I called his agency back and ask this agency to remove our telephone number from their calling lists. We will never ever do business with this staffing agency.....horrible
Beautiful office! The staff there is lovely
Very unprofessional!! Mary Hannah Lott, the account manager, found me on LinkedIn and asked for my resume, I sent it to her and she scheduled a phone interview but never called, not even sent an email apologizing. Not to mention, it always took several days for her to reply my emails.
I suppose they lifted my work history information from LinkedIn or Career Builder or something and then called me at my current place of employment without my permission. I dont know who they are and I dont want to be contacted again. Especially not at work where there is no direct line and the call went to the reception desk.
Great firm. I highly recommend
The worst experience of my life.
