A bit on the pricey side, but much needed service. At first, it seems like it is not a car wash service, but keep driving straight. Not many directions on what to do or where to go. But once you get closer, the workers were fabulous !

Not sure what all the salty reviews on here are all about. I just received excellent service from Splash Car Wash. I bought the cheapest option which included a complete vacuum and interior wipe down in addition to the automatic wash. The staff took a lot of time and care and my car looked transformed when it was done. I would definitely recommend.

Very disappointed the two mans in the front they make a great job but when the car is washed and come off to dry the people who work drying and making the details of the car they make bad work they don’t dry well the body of my car was dirty and from inside you see the front window dirty and when they see that we are Hispanic people they don’t care they do without interest because we see it how they clean the car before us! I have been before there and they made a great job!! Now is very different . What a shame that our Latin race acts like this

This place is greatly in need of an upgrade and a cleanup of their facilities. This is an old holdover in the city that needs a major makeover. Additionally the service is just okay. I paid $30 for a car wash and the inside of my car window is still dirty on the passenger side front window. So the after cleanup isnt great and a machine Car Wash is really just a car wash. Convenience is probably the main reason to use this spot.

$25 for basic wash and vacuum with hand dry is a great deal. This is a nice option to have in the south end. Happy to not have to treck up to NW or MD to keep my car looking decent. Add this to the list of well miss it when its gone. :(

Splash has a slick system for cleaning your car inside and out. I was in and out in 15 minutes during a pretty busy time on Sunday. Remember to tip your washers!

2 stars just for location/convenience, other than that I would only recommend this place for the basic wash, meaning the cheapest option they offer. Today I requested the top option called “The Works” which included cleaning the inside dashboard and tire shine. If I didn’t complain they would have never properly cleaned or whipped down the inside dashboard and the so called tire shine was a waste. After it dries, the initial shine due to the tires being wet is gone. Basic (cheapest option) only, don’t be sucked like me earlier today. $40.00 down the drain!!!

This experience was the worst.! I paid the max amount for my car to be cleaned. When it got to the front desk or the car wash we finished my car was still very horrible, I had to coach them on what to reclean. On top of that I was to go through the car wash twice to get my floors vacuumed and the line was a 45 minute wait for both times. I do not recommend this car wash to anyone. It is not worth the money or the time waiting. Save yourself money and time and go somewhere else.

Fast but sloppy. I had to basically finish the job of getting some pretty obvious but sticky grime off my car myself. Strikes me as a place that’s locked down the government car wash contract and doesn’t care about much else.

Came into carwash with hubcap, come out without one. Arrogant, cheap owner, Tim, refused to take any responsibility for loss, eventhough Ive been a longtime customer, paying his high prices, no more. Wash at your own risk. You might want to take pics, before and after, in case you notice damage or parts missing. Cost to replace hubcap was price of 2 free highest price washes, to keep a customer. Smh

I had a rental that I took up the mountains. I wanted to make sure I got a quick clean and this place gave me exactly what I was looking for. The car looked great and it was a fast job. They have higher packages but the splash job did the job. Highly recommend

Good local spot for a car wash!

I come roughly every two weeks or so to make sure my car is clean, and this place makes sure it is both inside and out. Ive never waited more than a few minutes and every time I drive away I know that I have a spotless car. If you get the works you also get insurance if it rains in the next day.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I paid $36 for “The Works”. They did a very quick job vacuuming and only wiped off the dashboard. Did not wipe out the center consul, inside door handles or steering wheel. And nothing in the backseat. I could’ve done more with my home vacuum in less than five minutes. Complete waste of money.

This place is great! Hard to find a good car wash anywhere in DC. Came just after lunch and the whole thing took 10 minutes and cost $20. Interior vacuum, wash, wipe down. Perfect.

My car looks terrific after a trip to Splash DC. I even get compliments on my OLD car at service stations.

This place is great. There is no cheap option (cheapest starts at $20) but even the bare minimum includes vacuum and a full interior cleaning. It’s well worth it. They do an excellent job. Staff is always friendly and efficient. I’ve been taking my car here for years and can’t recommend it enough.

After visiting Splash, I cant tell if its a good deal or not. Located in SE DC, its a full service car wash. They offer a menu of services but the cheapest offering is $20 for a full car wash and cleaning of the inside of your vehicle. You park your car at the front, hand over the keys, and then wait in the lobby nearby. The staff wash it and then go inside to clean it. It seemed like a good deal, but still its cheaper to go to an auto car wash at a gas station.

I always come here because the location is convenient. However the quality of the wash is consistently bad and a lot of the time they’re closed during their online opening hours. (Not counting the times during neighbouring construction). Come here if your car is filthy and you want a quick wash. Go somewhere else for quality and reliability.

Prices are increased by a significant margin. “The works” is $40 and not $32 as they’re website says. The “Super Shine” was $36 and not $26 as listed on the website.

Its just an automatic wash with a hand dry. The car wash didnt get rid of all the dirt and it left spots even though I got the top package. Not worth $40.

I asked for a cheap wash! If $24 bucks is the cheapest I guess I dont know what cheap is! Next time Ill get the man on the street with a bucket! It wasnt worth $24 bucks!!

It would be wonderful if those folks who report to Google that Splash is “Permanently Closed” made the supreme effort to call its Google-listed phone number to actually hear if it is open or that the service has been disconnected. Since only a handful of customers have any experience in running a business, observe that the area, the fifth densest residential construction site in the country, has its streets and sidewalks under assault, meaning various utilities get “interrupted”, which means local businesses must close for the day. Pepco had no electricity for Splash twice in December, as an example, and accordingly, trucks block the driveway as the business is closed. And yes, it would be great if Google also checked by phone prior to sentencing a business “Permanently Closed”, but what am I smoking?

Take it for what its worth. Its a pretty decent wash, with a rain warranty and courteous service if youre not a prick. Never had a bad experience in the 7 years Ive been getting my vehicles washed/detailed at this place. The wash prices are very high, but that is probably more of a reflection of the taxes they have to pay to operate at this location. Definitely worth a try.

Price and service don’t match... their charging system is a joke. You pay extra for coat that you would get for free other places. They wanted to charge me more for cleaning my car mats.. They tried to rob me in day light.

I dont think people comment on a simple car wash so I decided to break with custom and see what was out there on this place to which I have been coming for about five years. It is ONLY a car wash and detail center and as they go, it is the best to which I have been. Apparently the cops, taxis, and limousines agree as they are omnipresent. My Jaguar has been super clean after being washed at Splash and I revel in its being there as car washes are scarce to find and this one is as good as it gets.

For a major city, DC lacks in touchless car wash. Ive had an overall good experience at Splash. Car is well cleaned and detailed. Price is in line with most car washes. I find Splash does a better job than others Ive been to with getting the dust/ dirt that collects in the leather enclosure around my gear shift. So a plus?

Just not a very good job for 25 dollars...Still had bugs stuck to the front of the car and windshield... Trunk still had dirt and salt on it, this portion was completely untouched...dirt still apparently untouched on side of body...A drunk third grader with brick could have done a better job...just completely horrible for the price...asked the cashier about the poor job and she said I could send it through again...but...and wait for it...Its gonna cost me to do it again...? 25 dollars..? do not waste you time here!

Convenient car wash to Capitol Hill and downtown DC. Good service for a quick car wash or a detail. Friendly service. They dont take AMEX and unfortunately it was the only card I had on me. Took my name and number and let me come by later on with another form of payment, very friendly about the situation. Highly recommend!

Splash is a decent car wash. Wherever I take my car, Im always having to ask to please clean something better before I go. Its never an issue and overall the job they do is great. Before you drive away, check your car. If youre unhappy, let them fix the situation. This isnt life or death.

This place was horrible. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I took my car in to get cleaned and the machine ripped the front license plate off of the bumper leaving 2-3 inch tears in the metal. First off let me say, that I was upset about the damage, but would have moved on without an issue if the manager or owner had shown any type of concern or at the very least been polite. Honestly a five dollar coupon or an apology was really all I was looking for to get past the shock of my damaged bumper and detached license plate. I was instead met with hostility and rudeness.The manager at first tried to convince me the tears were already there. Then once the owner got there he blamed me for the damage since my car has the plastic plate from the dealer under my license. Since Ive had that plate on since I bought the car and have taken it to numerous car washes before without a problem, this argument doesnt really hold up. You can tell the owner has bad attitude without even meeting him by the snarky comments on all the signs that are humorous, but thinly veiled bad attitude and rude disposition. Not to mention all his dismissive replies to his yelp comments.Also to comment on the cleanliness of the car, I would like to say that my car was at the most rinsed off. There was trash left in the interior of the car after the vacuum and spots still speckled on the exterior. The only reason why this place has business is because of the lack of competition, not because its high quality or good customer service. I would greatly recommend making the trip to another facility because this place does not do a good job at cleaning your vehicle and when they damage it they deny all responsibility and berate their customers.Sorry Tim, baby, but welcome to the modern age where if you are a jerk your customers can let the community know through many avenues.

I just left there and bought the works. Its my second time going. I probably shouldnt have gone 10 minutes before they were closing but anyway, I did. When I walked out to my car, the driver side door was open and I was surprised to see that no one had bothered wiping it down. it was dirty, had foot scuff marks all over it and some other white stain-it was dirty just as I had given it to them. I asked them to come and clean it and they did. They were walking away and I opened the passenger side door to find the same untreated space. And again, I asked them to clean it and they did. I guess my point is, what should I expect for $32? These seemed like obvious things to clean and it really disappointed me that it didnt even seem to cross their mind to do that. I get that not every nook and cranny can be perfectly cleaned but this definitely showed a lack of interest in doing as thorough a job as possible. Even though its close to my house, I am not sure Ill go back. I expect more for $32!

Horrible experience today. Started out with an awful vacuum job (only vac on top of the floor mats, failing to move them and vac underneath). I should have know since another customer in front of me had to come back through to have her vac job redone. The interior wash at the end was even worse. They nearly wiped down anything, leaving my 69 year old mother to clean the car. Weve always had mediocre experiences here at best, but this was by far the worst!!

Paid $35 for the Works service which matches at best a $15 job. They barely dusted off the dashboard. When the next car pulled over, they just moved on over despite being done my car.

FALSE ADVERTISING - Looked on-line for detailing services including description and price. Called to make an appointment. When I brought my car in they told me a different price. I referred back to their website and said there is a $9.00 discrepancy. I stated price on the website differs from what you just quoted. When the cashier wouldnt budge, I asked to speak with both the manager and the owner and they BOTH said that they would NOT HONOR the PUBLISHED price!!! Is that even legal? Poor Customer Service - They will never get my business again!!

I always take the company vehicles here to get washed. They have good rates in that sense, I would never take my own vehicle here they do a mediocre job for a way expensive price. All it is is a glorified drive through car wash.

Until 3 months ago I was Splash customer from the day it opened. Three months ago I moved to near Baileys Crossroads in Virginia. Today, for the first time since moving, I Googled car wash in my new location. I looked at the services, read the reviews --- and drove to Splash. As usual, a superb job. I plan to come back again.

They were polite and friendly but the car was not properly cleaned and they left grease stains in the interior. Also the residue from the towels. Hand prints all over the windows. Didnt vacuum properly crumbs still in the seats. Cool people but wouldnt recomend to any of ny friends.

Felt over priced for service recieved. Witnessed same towels being used on wheels being used to dry next customers vehicle. Easy way to introduce rocks and dirt to create scratches on body work. After seeing this I asked for my vehicle to not be dried, however they did not understand and proceeded to dry my vehicle.

They do not use microfiber towels, they use regular towels which will cause scratches and swirls on your car...if possible bring your own microfiber towels so they can use..
