Apparently this company only services the areas of DC with the right zip code. It makes you wonder why they decide to service certain zip codes of a city that is only 68 square miles. I am left to believe it is not for any legitimate reason. Of the 23 zip codes in DC, this company doesnt service 20019, 20020 and 20032, the only zip codes east of the Anacostia River. This appears to be intentional. I guess I live on the wrong side of the river. So if where I live is not good enough for them, Ill gladly give my money to someone else. I hope those who read this take that into consideration when deciding whether to give this business your money.
My husband and I spent months looking for a great design and build firm in the DC area to redo our small condo kitchen. After interviewing a number of places, we found ourselves most comfortable with the team at Case Design in DC. Specifically, Project developer, David Waguespack, his designer, Carolyn Elleman, project manager, Stefan Eising, and carpenter, Francisco were all wonderful to work with. From the initial conversations through the design process, finish selection, demo, and complete reno, the team was knowledgeable and very considerate of our time, wishes, and needs. I very much recommend this team if you are considering a renovation! They may be slightly more expensive than other options in the area, but it was well worth how at-ease I felt knowing that everything would be done correctly. THANKS!
We worked with Case on three projects: a major kitchen and bath remodel, and a smaller custom built-in cabinet at an entryway. MJ, Richard, Stefan, and Drew were terrific to work with, from design through final inspection. The solutions were inspired, the work top quality, and the relationship and communications positive throughout. We are delighted with the results and look forward to working with Case again in the future..
We were so thrilled with the results of our kitchen remodel that we absolutely would not change a thing. Case guided us through the process seamlessly. The quality of the work is exemplary. Everyone we worked with was professional and they continue to be available with support and answering questions.
Case Design performed a pull and replace bathroom and kitchen remodel. Eight months included: initial measurements, design discussions, formal design, product decisions, purchases, and construction. Im happy with the results and the workmanship is excellent; however, there were coordination issues throughout, which created undue stress. I recommend developing a relationship with your designer and project manager. They are your advocates and are crucial in explaining to you what is happening and provide the best translation of your final design with craftsmen. My place looks so much better than it did before and Im grateful for their efforts.
We couldnt be happier with the work Fred/Case Design did to update our home. From start to finish, everything was very organized, methodical, well-timed and clear. Usually, it is hard to communicate with a contractor, but whether it was email, text or phone, we were always able to reach them. Some of our projects were small-seeming, but meant a lot to us to repair, so we appreciated the care and attention to detail we felt we received. The carpentry, paint and plaster work were all top-notch. They even refit our attic for storage - in July! Hats off to the Fred/Case team - wed definitely use them again.
We worked with Case on a full kitchen gut and remodel and they designed us the kitchen of our dreams! The team was extremely professional, communicative and responsive. They had a fabulous eye for detail and were excellent craftsmen. Head craftsman, Tony, was amazing, efficient and had a great taste in music. :-) I would highly recommend Case for any home remodeling.
We have loved working with David Waguespack, Loren Sanders, and their crew at CASE Design. David helped us remodel our kitchen and 3 baths a few years ago, and now we call him and CASE whenever we have other projects around the house, even small ones. The work that CASE has done for us has been on time, on budget, and at the highest quality, paying attention to even the minor details. David has amazing design ideas which have helped us increase the functionality of the tight spaces in our house. I would highly recommend working with CASE, and in particular with David.
CASE renovated my kitchen. The design team and the contractors did an exceptional job. From start to finish - every detail was considered and the results were exceptional. I get regular compliments on the final results.
I am simply in love with my CASE design kitchen. My design and construction team where sensitive to our personal aesthetic and financial needs when putting together my dream kitchen. Not to mention the response time for minor issues and concerns is fast and courteous.
We used Case design for a complete kitchen and laundry room remodel, and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Richard Rocco was our initial contact, and gave us expert advice about different possibilities for the space, the scope of work, and accurate pricing and schedules. Hope Hassell was our expert and unfailingly supportive designer. Our craftsman Shawn Higgins was amazing; he did superb work and was a friendly presence who always went to extra mile to make sure the space was clean every evening, and that our cats were well contained and happy during the reno. All of this happened under the careful and expert management of project manager Tom Craze who was a pleasure to work with. Tom was highly competent, friendly, always available to troubleshoot, and actually brought our project in slightly ahead of schedule. We are thrilled with our kitchen and laundry, and will definitely use Case again for any future work. And, we will definitely ask for the same team!
We spent a few years thinking about renovating two full baths and a powder room in our 100-year old house but did nothing until we finally decided that Case Design was the company we wanted to work with and initiated the project in early 2019.Two things became apparent as we progressed through the detailed design stage and then on to construction. One was the professionalism and competence of the Case people involved and the other was the pleasantness of working with them in their offices and in our home.Mike O’Hearn and Melissa Binderman, the Project Developer and Designer, were knowledgeable and experienced in presenting ideas, reacting to our desires, and executing a final plan. Their patience as we sometimes changed our minds about decisions that had been previously made was appreciated, as was their willingness to keep modifying what we wanted based on seeing results in our house rather than in a showroom.Loren Sanders, the Project Manager has been attentive and thorough in keeping us posted on the construction process and schedule. The star of the show, however, is Bill Shaw, who has done most of the construction work. Not only is what he does of the highest professional quality, he has been in our house steadily for two months and instead of an imposition, it has been a pleasurable experience. He explains everything he is doing and gives us the opportunity to customize items like where towel racks go and what height the shower should be.One of the prime benefits for us of this project turned out to be not the new, modern appliances updating our old baths, but the underneath replacement of floors, ceilings, walls, water pipes, insulation, and electric wiring. We’ve essentially rebuilt a major portion of our house. In doing major construction alteration, Case took great care in eliminating dust using suction machines and in protecting the parts of the house outside the renovation area. We bought a room air scrubber for our bedroom as a precaution. It indicates when the air is bad, and it has almost never found anything other than clean air.We highly recommend Case for home renovation projects.
My husband and I cannot speak more highly of our experience with John Audet and the Case Design team. We purchased a 1926 bungalow in Chevy Chase that was in serious need of work - plumbing, HVAC, layout, windows, walls, structure, you name it, it needed it. In our struggle to bring our vision to light, we found John and Case Design. With John’s help, Case Design was able to help us truly find our vision and bring it to light. Through our work with John and the Case team, we now have our dream home.
Great design and workmanship to turn a small bathroom into a spa like experience. Thanks!
Would highly recommend Case remodeling and specifically the project manager Tom Craze!
They do a nice job
