For a no-frills haircut in southwest DC, this place offers way more than expected for a small price tag of $20. Hygienic, comfortable, and pleasant ambience; skilled and patient lady-barber. Great location (follow the DMV sign in LEnfant Plaza). Appointments recommended. And oh, this place is cash-payments only, so dont forget to tip the old fashioned way with real bills!

From the moment you walk in the door, it is a wonderful experience. The barber and the young lady who work there are very sweet, and always polite.

Its a barber shop, not a spa. But its clean, the lady who works there is polite and attentive. I dont think a person using #1 all over can judge flat top or something (if you have hair just for #1) but for my personal judgement this place has 5*. Please note that basically there is no any parking around and most clients are from offices. I also suggest a reservation unless you have a luxury of flex time. And finally, the price is just right at $17.05/22/2019 - Its moving to a new location at LEnfant Plaza, North gate, Phoenix Salon Suites, #114. Same phone and same service. The old location is until June 24.

Was in DC for a meeting and didnt have time to get a haircut. After check in I asked where is a good place to get a haircut. They recommended Metro Barbers. Was just a block or two from the hotel so I walked to it. The wait wasnt too long, the staff was courteous and extremely pleasant and I received a great haircut. Whenever I am here again I will use them again if I ever need another haircut and will recommend them to anyone that is in need for a haircut.

This is my favorite barber shop and Ive done my research. Sarah does an excellent job. My favorite part is that her clippers include a vacuum attachment, so I can continue with my day without irritating hairs in my shirt. Thanks, Metro Barber Shop, for always helping me look fresh.

For Washington standards, this place is above average. The haircut for a guy is 20$ without tip. I went there on a Monday afternoon at 3:30pm and I had 3 people in front of me, with 4 out of the 5 chairs being used. The space is nice, with some chill out techno music and a good vibe.Recommended

Went over to get a haircut around noon. The only stylist there told me she had appointments until 1:45 so I made an appointment for then. I came back around 1:40 and she was ready to go. Took about 15 minutes. The fade was very good. My hair is fairly coarse and so I have had lots of butchered fades, but this one was much better than I expected. She also kept my clothes very clean and did a good job of vacuuming and wiping loose hairs from my head. At $17 for a basic fade in a convenient location, this place cant be beat. Just be sure you call ahead and get an appointment.

They do an excellent job with mens haircuts. Friendly staff and convenient location right off of the Metro. Allow them to first take off a little bit of hair, then cut more if need be.

Worst haircut ever! After noting that I needed about1.5 inches taken off all around, tapered with a square back, she usde only a the shaver, no scissors. Top, front, and back were left as is, and nothing but a strip of skin on the sides - and the ringing left in my ears of the trimmer being scrapped across a comb over and over. nice that they clean the excess hair of my shirt with a dry erase sponge. Avoid this place!

I have been very pleased with the hair cuts that I have received over the last couple of years.

The woman who cut my hair was uncommunicative and just stabbed at my head with a buzzer. The scissors came out for about 1 minute. She returned to the back of my head three times with the buzzer to get it right. I walked away with a poor haircut that had to be fixed at home. The front wasnt even straight!Its cheap - $17 for a mens haircut and I think $23 for women - but its probably not worth the price. Granted, the woman who cut my hair was the only person there and they may have other, better barbers/stylists on days with more business, but thats no excuse for a mediocre haircut.
