This has got to be the absolute worst and I mean worst insurance agency I’ve been with. I contacted ALLSTATE in July, I needed car insurance because I was doing Ride-share and my carrier did not allow it, I was told to try Allstate. I contacted them, I was quoted a ridiculous amount for monthly premiums two-three hundred more than what I was paying. I was furious and felt cheated, after a couple of months of paying I was ok, not happy but okay. Moving on and fast forward, it’s now January and time for me to renew my policy. I logged into the app my premium for the month of January was $208 (I was told because I was a great customer and made all my payments on time....I was like FANTASTIC). I wanted to be proactive and knew I would be renewing my policy and started to pay into February premium. Because they had not post my new rates and considering what I’ve paid in the past I paid $200. Two weeks later my premiums post, premiums are now more than what I paid previously (past 6 months) I called into the agency because I did not see my credit ($200) and they were asking for the full balance for the month of February....this is too long.BOTTOM LINE......SHOP AROUND DONT USE ALLSTATE AND DEFINITELY DONT USE THIS OFFICE.Oh, most important I went to another agency cheaper premiums and I’m still waiting on my refund from Allstate, it’s been 3 weeks. I called them today and was told give it another week to post to my account.

Maurice is very unresponsive. It takes multiple e-mails and several days to get answers. And then, after you do get an answer, if you have a follow up question, takes a few more days, or weeks in fact.I renewed my policy, once more, just to scratch it off my list; but it does concern me that it is very hard to communicate in a clear and timely fashion. That does not bode well.

I would like to leave a warning to anyone in the DC area who is thinking about getting insurance through Maurice Brown. My auto policy was up for renewal in March 2020 and I called to add some additional coverage. The charge went through and I thought nothing more of it. In late March, unbeknownst to me, I received an email from a suspicious sender, which my email account automatically sent to spam (and for good reason - it didnt look legit.) The email was the single notice that my policy was being cancelled because the charge was cancelled after my bank branch had closed. For them, a single email sufficed as notice to their customer.Not a single associate from Mr. Browns office gave me a call with a simple ask of my credit card information as I had paid in full every other renewal period. I did not find out my policy was cancelled until I checked an email saying I was getting a payback for COVID-19 in May. I was told repeatedly that the agency would reinstate my policy given such a weird occurrence of a bank branch closing and since no one called to follow up with me. One of Maurices associates, told me he would get to the bottom of it. I called five times over the course of four weeks asking the associate to call me back, but the onerous was always on me to call and check. And to boot, my policy was not reinstated, I was cited for a lapse in coverage and forced to pay $297 to the District, and they rewrote my policy to go up over $300 in premiums every 6 months! When I called to ask for someone to make this right or I would take on the hassle to switch insurance to save $500 every 6 months, the associate told me that they personally dont use Allstate and that I should switch. I talked to the associate today and told him he personally dropped the ball only to have him hang up on me.Maurice Brown and associates are not straight shooters after they have your business - they do not treat you as an individual customer but rather a number. They do no have your back and are very unprofessional in how they go about conducting business with customers. If you are looking for Allstate Insurance, look for another agency.

I am so happy that I switched to Allstate. Nobody has been able to beat their rates for mePlus on top of that Drivewise actually took a good amount off and if I still drive like I should I can get another discount after six months. That repeats considering my driving. My representative is so easy to contact on line or by phone and I do everything through the app which is so easy to manage. Im always trying to get friends and family to check them put and will continue to do so. Thanks Allstate!

The SE office Team are professional when they are assisting clients. My experience with the Team has been very amazing and I like to thank them for all that they do in making sure we understand our policies for home or auto coverage. Kudos to them all🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Maurice and his team have been great for the 2 years Ive been in DC. Never had trouble reaching them and theyve always helped me find a good deal for my situation. They literally saved me hundreds of dollars a month on Insurance getting me setup with Milewise.

Allstate has made my time with them great. My car caught fire and it was hassle free. The agents contacted you directly and made sure I had s rental and reimbursed me for my vehicle and things lost . They are amazing and I will Be insuring my new vehicle through them

Allstate Insurance with my agent Maurice Brown is wonderful. I purchased a used Lincoln LS 2006 in December 2017 as my Christmas gift to myself and Maurice answered a bunch of questions I had already thought of and after calling around to several different companies, one of his employees Jazmine saved my quote for future reference just in case I couldnt find anything cheaper and I didnt. My premiums are high as hell for full coverage but its worth it. His Staff is knowledgeable and professional
