Happened upon this place by surprise, Ive lived in DMV over 20years but can definitely say little treasures like this are always a welcome surprise. MUSIC meets Arts in this modernistic scene, with actors doing their very best to sound authentic, but before you laugh, think and listen closely, how far we have come. I say Thank you.

We came here for the Shrub Festival and all of the food and the cooking demonstration were very nice.

Love this place. Good space for community building through art, discussion, and workshops. Sylvia Robinson put her heart and soul into this place. Keep her work and vision alive. Check out an event here.

The space isnt really accessible. There are soo many stairs to get up to the venue and then even more to get between floors. Its not well ventilated so the spaces get really hot!

A exstreem sadness for the founder, Ms. Sylvia Robinson who did succumb to Cancer treatment. I pray that the Center continues its commitment to the culturally hungry community. As she provided a place to practice and perfect the art and local community service. Thanks so much Sylvia, GOD-speed you will be missed

Lovely artist working studio and mini-gallery. Street parking is available very close by. I parked on the same street as the Emergence Community Arts buliding.

Very extra dope spot. Poetry on Thursday nights is the best open mic in the city, period.

I host the open mic at the ECAC. This space is full of good energy and programs to enrich and inform.
