Ive have always had a pleasant experience at the Warrensburg Post Office. The staff has always been respectful, helpful and friendly with me. Everyone has a bad day which I understand and, if it appears that way, I will usually try to put a smile on their face. They usually respond well with a smile. My two cents anyway.

I have delt with post offices from from the Mississippi River to the California coast. The Warrensburg P.O. gets the award for the worst and most user unfriendly post office anywhere. I am so happy we have a Post and Mail. They are friendly and efficient. I wish they delivered. Our mailman is now shoving packages in our mail box so tightly I can just barely get them out. At least UPS and FedEx will place packages on our porch by the front door. One star is generous.

I dont understand how Ive not gotten in mail in the last almost two months when companies are mailing me stuff. One company mailed me out a letter on May 4th and Ive yet to see it. Ive never had issues with my mail before until I moved to Warrensburg. Id sure love to know whats happening to my mail. Some are very important paperwork. And would really love to know how this can be resolved.

The ladies at the counter are always nice and have a smile.The guy that delivered mail on Friday July 2nd.Got an attitude because I asked for my mail to be handed to me.So I wouldn’t have to wait for him to put the mail in the other 20mailboxes or so.Never got an attitude for asking a mailman to do that before,kind of unprofessional too.

Honestly if I could give 0 stars I definitely would. Weve had issues with our mail lady and the Warrensburg post office the last 3 years. Most recent thing was we had a slip in our (brand new) mailbox (our old one was literally falling off the post) telling us our post was too short even though the height didnt change at all. It was just the mailbox itself that was replaced, didnt mess with the post. NONE of our other neighbors had the same slip and their mailboxes were also roughly about the same height. They were MAYBE 1/4in to 1/2in taller. We measured, lol.. anyways, they stopped delivering our mail until its fixed. However, while my husband and father in law were installing the NEW post that meets regulations (42in incase anyone is curious, this is what a lady at the burg office told my husband), the mail delivery person for our area, got out of her car, completely ignored their hellos and have a good days, and instead of handing our mail to my husband because he was installing the new box/post, just drives off.Postmaster never fixes anything either, just FYI. Just gives excuses as to why his postman cant do their jobs that they were hired to do.

I got notifications saying my two packages were delivered by ups to the post office. None of the messages stated that the post office would deliver my package the next day, only that it was left at dock. My husband went to go pick it up at the post office and the woman at the counter refused to get my packages for him. She said “we get 2,000 packages a day and I don’t have the time to go look for it right now. Just wait till tomorrow for your packages to be delivered “. This is the worst post office I’ve ever had to deal with. The staff is always extremely rude and refuse to do any form of customer service.

At first I called and wasn’t able to get a hold of anybody, and the recording wasn’t helpful. Then I went to the actual Post Office, and the people there were very nice, helpful and solved the problem in just a couple minutes. I was very pleased with the service. I’m only giving them 4/5 because of the phone issues.

Since no one at the post office will answer a call here we go. I think that it is mighty easy to close a mailbox so that your mail doesnt get rained on....yet everyday there it is wide open....but hey the item that came in the mail that I ordered and your carelessness ruined....no problem. Now lets give it a week before I get a nasty note in my mailbox stating its not up to code and they will stop delivering my mail....thats what happened the last time I issued a complaint.

My apartment complex put in a new mail slot system in the wall and after 2 weeks of receiving no mail, I went up there to ask why and they gave me all my mail and said that the box “wasn’t up to code” since it had to be atleast a foot off the ground. Understandable i guess but inconvenient but when i got back to my apartment and looked, it was atleast a foot and a half to two feet above the ground then i tried to call them to tell them and they would not answer. So I guess i will have to go up there every time i want my mail.

We live in Deerfield, Warrensburg. We are constantly getting the wrong mail, there are 5 complaints on our Facebook page just today! Come on postal people it is a crime to deliver so sloppily. One of our carriers get it right and is kind and friendly, she should be commended.

Something fishy is going on at this Post Office. I sent my daughter a small package that was weighed and stamped AT a post office in St. Louis. Instead of delivering it to her, she was informed WEEKS later that it needed an additional 1.10 of postage or would be returned to me. Her roommates have had similar experiences. How is one US post office charging more than twice what the original US post office stamped it at?ZERO stars

I ordered a Sewing Machine. June 22. I never recieved it at my daughters house. I used the tracking number and it said it was delivered at 12:22pm on June 26 2020 but it never showed at her house . So where was it delivered to shes home all day Not HAPPY

I placed the envelope the post office uses to order stamps, with my order and a check for $22 in my mailbox Tuesday. On Friday I called to find out where my stamps were and was told they were probably misdelivered. After I ended the call I checked my bank account and learned the my check had cleared my bank on Thursday . I called the post office again and let them know they cashed my check. They called me back and said they would bring the stamps to me shortly. It has now been more than 2 hours since they promised to bring them to me and they are now closed. This isnt the first time something like this has happened to me so Im pretty sure it probably happened to others. I angry now. I wasnt angry when I originally called them, but I angry now.!

I recently just moved into my apartment and I had two packages delivered, one came to my door and the other was in the mailbox. Well because I had to get new mailbox keys, I did not have access to get what I had FIRST CLASS shipped over to me. I came early enough (noon) to get things sorted out for the package to be picked up and brought back to the post office for me to come retrieve. I was told by THREE people (two in person & one over the phone) that I would get a call in regards to my package. I was told the carrier comes back around 2pm and that’s when I should expect a phone call. I had to make the phone call for updates which I was told the same thing on the phone that I was told in store. Mind you I drove up here at 4:30 pm, still no phone call was made in regards to what was going on and the store closed at 5 pm. I’m HIGHLY disappointed in being told one thing by three workers but nothing was done. This is not the first bad encounter I have had with The USPS at the Warrensburg location. Now, this is not 100% their fault BUT it’s better to keep your word or update whoever you helped than not updating at all.

Someone changed the lock for my office mailbox. I have been calling repeatedly and the line is always busy! This is unacceptable and they will be changing the locks back as soon as I can get someone to answer the phone. Our lease agreements have the lot number the tenant is moving in to, our main office address is listed at the top of the page but I have never had this problem in the 5 years I have managed this park!

If you live at certain apartment complexes in this town do not expect the post office to even attempt to get it to your door. What they will do is take everyones package that lives in that complex to the office and then if the office is either closed or declines to assume responsibility of those packages (which is understandable on the offices end) they will take everyones package back to the post office.Now I could understand if they went to each individual apartment, just like they would a persons house, and the person didnt answer that would be reason to take it back to the post office, to prevent theft. But to not even attempt to deliver to the ADDRESS THAT IS WRITTEN ON the package is unacceptable!Ive even had it written on my packages to have it delivered to my address at my direct apartment and to specifically not take it to the office. Yet for some reason these notes are ignored.Sounds like to me there is pure laziness going on, rather than an actual concern for theft of packages.

Tried to send some envelops with little filling, paid over 20 dollars while there. Next day, they were dumped back on my porch with a rude note and permanent marker on each envelop detailing the additional postage I had to pay. So not only do I have to go back and wait in line forever, I also have to pay for new packaging because they ruined it and pay even more money because it wasnt done right the first time.

I have tried calling multiple times and had to wrestle with the electronic receiver each time, and then wait on hold for over forty minutes, when all I wanted to do was speak to a real person and ask about a package that had gotten lost. What poor customer service. This is ridiculous. Hire more staff if the current amount are unable to handle calls.

Terrible post office. They hire absolute idiots who hate their job and don’t value customers. They have lost multiple of my packages, sent them back to the sender for no reason, and delivered them to wrong addresses. I have opened multiple complaints with the headquarters and yet nothing changes. We have a friend who works for the Independence postal service and he says the employees at the Warrensburg location are total idiots who don’t care about their jobs. He also said that they purposely disconnect their phones there so people can’t call them. Every time I try to call their number it says the call can not be completed. I am 100% sure I am calling the correct number.

He didnt serve one day of prison time.KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A former postal worker from Warrensburg, Mo. pleaded guilty in federal court Monday afternoon to stealing thousands of pieces of mail and often times throwing the mail away.David Thompson, 54, has pleaded guilty to the delay and destruction of mail. Thompson admitted that he had taken nearly 20,000 pieces of mail, which affected more that 5,500 recipients between May 2012 to Jan. 18, 2014. During that time period Thompson allegedly threw the mail away or kept it inside of his house or car. According to U.S. attorney Tammy Dickinson the mail was never opened.Thompson began working with the U.S. Postal Service in 1900 as a mail carrier in Warrensburg.In 2013, supervisors suspected that Thompson was consuming alcohol while on the job, so they had a hidden camera installed inside of his mail truck. While investigating, supervisors noticed that Thompson would take mail that was already sorted for delivery and place it in a tub, which he then allegedly took home with him.As the investigation continued, a federal agent found four black plastic trash bags of mail behind the Elk’s Lodge, where Thompson was a member.A sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled. Due to federal statues, Thompson is subject to up to five years in federal prison without parole. He could also face a fine up to $250,000.

This post office is the most unhelpful place on the planet. The phone never works and you are better off driving to wherever your package is and picking it up yourself. They also dont have a grasp on their own system, when they returned our wedding invites 3 times for inadequate postage, Sedalia informed us they just had to be hand stamped. These people are just lazy.

The people who work inside and at the front desk here are really nice and always willing to go the extra mile to help me when I have an issue (especially David)... but this location has literally the worst mail carriers I have EVER encountered. I have informed delivery so I can see what mail/packages are coming in and when they should arrive. This is the FOURTH time I have not received something that should have arrived, but it was marked as “delivered”. The people who deliver the mail often leave things in the wrong box or at the wrong home and more than oftern, things show up damaged and seemingly tampered with, or they don’t show up at all. I’ve gone up to this location and spoke with numerous people, including the Supervisor. I’ve even tried to file complaints online and via phone with USPS but I have yet to hear back from anyone. I really can’t wait to move and not have to deal with this location anymore as I’m tired of ALWAYS having an issue with receiving mail and packages on time and intact. The incompetence is mind boggling.

Horrible service, no integrity in their work. I cannot say more how awful this place is. I came from a bigger city with triple the population of Warrensburg and i have never this much trouble of getting my mail. Long story short without the honestly of my neighbors this post office came close of losing $1500 worth of my mail because the driver assigned to my area doesn’t know how to read.After numerous complaints, many talks with the head postmaster there, I was finally starting to get my mail instead of the neighborhood. I have lived at my address ongoing 3 years and the driver never delivered my mail to my mailbox. God only knows what mail i never did get.Fast forward to 2018 I ordered a needed car part from amazon that was supposed to be delivered on a Saturday. I get a notice at 2:30pm stating. - The carrier was not able to access the front door to deliver your package. This sometimes occurs when carriers do not have an access code for a gated community or secure building. –I do not live in gated community and my mail box is approximately 25ft from my house, it is community mailbox with assigned lockers. My driveway is big enough for 4 vehicles and Saturday there was only 2 cars there meaning two whole empty spots were available for the driver to pull into. No excused why i didnt get my package.Once again I have to drive to the local Post Office wasting my time for them failing to do their jobs. A while back they were investigated federally due to worker of their hoarding mail at his house and people not getting their mail at all. I hope they get investigated again and they need to be shut down and revamped with their drivers. I truly hate this place.

I ordered something online and I checked the tracking number and it said it had been delivered but it wasnt here. I called and first he told me that the currior had it and was going to bring it back which was fine just a little bit of a mishaps. Then I get a call again and apparently the currior DOESNT have it and delivered it to the wrong house in which the person wasnt there and they said they would get it back in the morning. Needless to say, that is a very large and irritating mistake. I just cant believe the negligence in this. I dont know how youre gonna say its here when it isnt, then say you have it and will bring it back, then claim you dont even have it.

The parking lot is tiny. They are understaffed and there is very little room to wait in line inside. They were working on getting surveys from customers so they could redo the parking lot. I completed on of the surveys myself. However, the staff are friendly and very helpful. So its not the service thats the issue, its the building.

Absolutely terrible service. i had sold & shipped a package to someone in this town & my local post office said to call this location because they were the ones who delievered it to the place. so i did, i talked to a man who claims he was the supervisor & said my package was “out for delivery” on nov. 1st, its now the 3rd... packages get scan“delivered” the same day but the worker never scanned it as that & just delivered it. since i dont have proof it was actually delievered just his word, i do not get my money & i lost an item. he was very rude when he asked what was the address i told him, he said you should call the university? so i said what university? he replied with “uh ucm? missori? you shipped it to warrensburg” Oh i’m sorry i dont know about this little town & university all i had was an address, i’m not from here so i wouldnt know? & besides that has absolutely nothing to do with the post office. “well you need to contact them for your package” actually no i dont because my problem is with the post office since it wasnt scanned as ”delievered,” he said “theres nothing i can do” i said can i talk to someone else? he replied “no” “i am the supervisor” what a joke.

Warrensburg USPS delivered my package to the wrong house, so I contacted the Post Office. They couldnt recover the package and refused to reimburse me. They basically told me Im out of luck. So Im out the money I paid for the item (which was medical supplies), the sender wont send me another without me purchasing it (which I dont blame them at all), and I cannot buy more supplies right now. Dont bother asking the people at this post office for help solving a problem, even if its a problem they caused. Theyre awful.

I ordered 3 small items on 1/29/18 from Amazon. I followed the delivery thru the USPS Tracking. Everything said they had been delivered at something like that 11:40am. Well, I am recovering from spine surgery and was sitting on the couch looking out at about that time. Saw the Postal Office truck pull into a driveway on the other side of the intersection where I live. He (she) didnt get out, slowed down near my house but kept on going. Needless to say the package was reported as being delivered yesterday Sunday Feb 2nd, 2018. Now this is not the first time this has happened to us in the last two years. Once my wife was able to drive around to the houses on other streets in our subdivision, which have our house number and locate what we had ordered. Yes, some ignorant moron had delivered to the wrong house. Obviously the Postal Worker in my case yesterday lied to the Postal Service, saying it was delivered when it wasnt. Now, I am going to have to call the Post Office in Warrensburg and complain about a potentially dishonest employee and then call Amazon to let them know that some of the packages they ship to the Warrensburg area are not being delivered properly---Either a dishonest Postal Employee or someone who isnt concerned about doing their job right the first time. Doesnt help that there are three houses within a block or two of me that have the same house number. I have a corner lot. Dont Warensburg Postal employees know how to read street signs? It is a wonder we even get our mail delivered during the week. Boy, wait until I see my regular mail carrier. They will get an ear full! Know they are going to say it wasnt them, but the SUBS they use on the weekend. First I am calling the Post Office, then Amazon to see if I can get my package this week now that its been stolen or delivered wrong. Need Donald Trump down here to kick them in the keester!!

Took a box in today to ship APO and Alison was the one that helped us. She was super rude and acted like we were a burden on her day. She went to take our box off of the counter and dropped it on the ground and then proceeded to laugh about it. I was highly disappointed in her attitude towards us.

I run Smart Fix in Warrensburg and Chillicothe, MO. The service we have received from the Warrensburg post office since opening a month ago has been horrendous. They are unwilling to help when something is not right. We continually have packages showing up days late which causes TERRIBLE customer service on OUR end. I would recommend the manager at the Warrensburg office call Chillicothe to ask for guidance. I will choose to use FedEx and UPS when possible. We should not have to apologize to our customers weekly due to the lack up support from you all.I was told when calling to pick up a package that it was not this particular persons fault. I understand it is not that individuals fault, and I did not blame them. We simply wanted to pick up the package at the office ourself to provide service to our customers.

I wish I could give zero stars. The worst post office I have ever been to and Im from St. Louis. Every employee there that I have encountered is always really pissy, with horrible attitudes. It doesnt matter the time of day or year, especially over the phone...just expect to receive HORRIBLE customer service. Also, they take FOREVER to do things. End of rant.

Drivers do not follow written directions on packages. Documents that are marked do not fold are folded in half. Boxes marked “this side up” are on its side. Worst of all boxes are forced into mailbox damaging other mail in box.

Very impatient staff, terrible parking, staff will get visibly upset if you ask them to do anything that requires an ounce of effort, I asked a very easily worded question, got told to wait while he asked someone else then got put on hold for 40 minutes, I hung up and called again and a new person answered and got my problem solved in under a minute.
