Hmm i would say this is the pathetic experience i had today at this location. I had appointment for hitch installation at 2.00 pm. When i reach to location, there was a guy said i cant install hitch my manager is not available. I told him i have confirmation of appointment. He said with louder and angry voice you must be kidding, do you understand what i am saying? I cant install your hitch. It was very rude. They dont have any sense for how to talk to customer.He did not even reschedule and started looking at his phone. Very bad. Didnt expect from uhaul.

No one spoke when I came in, the two young men act like they barely wanted to help me at all and then when I got ready to pay in cash they told me they didn’t have any registers open! Absolutely some of the worst customer service I’ve ever had I would never recommend this place to ANYONE!

Setup a trailer hitch install online so that the first mistake. Then came in a week before install and the never even ordered it yet. Then I had to wait 2 weeks for them to tell me the hitch is on backorder. Stay away from this store for anything.

I came here to refill propane. There was one guy working and 3-4 people trying to rent trucks. Each person taking 10-15 minutes. So an hour wait to fill up a propane. When I complained the wait and suggested hiring some more people, he said theres another guy who went to pick up a truck and is running late.

Absolutely horrible! Was the closest one to where me and my bf were moving. Was a first experience with uhaul and honestly the staff here is just absolutely rude. The black guy is just way to nonchalant, his bitterness just rubs off. And the Mexican guy doesn’t know how to talk to people, he talks to black people like we’re on the streets of 6 mile or something, it’s very unprofessional. Definitely wouldn’t return. Maybe if they were a bit more professional or at least nicer, wouldn’t be that bad....maybe

Honestly wish I looked at the reviews before going here. It was just the closest U-Haul to me. I preordered a 17’ truck to be picked up via mobile pickup, but when I arrived, there was an issue and I had to go inside. The guy at the counter was going excruciatingly slow. I was behind 2 customers. When I got to the counter, I honestly think I hit a stroke of luck with getting the last 17’ truck because he looked in his box of keys and found one he didn’t think he had. Returning the truck was even worse. Line out the door and I ended up asking the guy at the counter if I could just drop my key off. Don’t go here. I’ll never go here again.

Waited outside for propane for 30 min. Guy walked by me 4 times never said anything to me! I rang the buzzer and waited about 15 min. Went inside no one was in there! Went back outside rang the buzzer again waited 10 min. Went back in no one was in there again waited 5 more min. And then loaded my tanks back in my van and went to Van Dyke Gas Co! They very very prompt and nice! U-Haul you lost my business!👎👎👎👎👎

Worst customer service ever ! Scheduled a 20 foot truck to be picked up came in to pick it up nobody in the office went outside to find all the employees huddled outside. Gentleman walked in didn’t say a word to us said what’s up. After explaining we were there to pick up our truck we reserved prior we were told that a customer forgot to drop off the key and is on his way back with the key. After waiting 30 minutes we started to question what was going on and when this person would be returning asked if they could call come to find out a customer was not coming back with the key they had sent somebody to cut a new key it was gonna be an additional 20 minutes. After we asked if they could find us a different location they were not very helpful at all a lot of attitude towards us for no reason will never use this place again!

The staff at the store was not so much an issue. U-Haul corporation is my problem. First they charged me an extra day because I brought the trailer I rented back after closing. This has never been an issue before, but now they make you use the app to log your return so they hit you. Then there was an issue with the Easy Pass system from Virginia. Without giving me a chance to prove that the toll was actually paid they charged me $125.40 for the fine. Thanks for screwing over an active military family U-Haul!

Do not go here!! The GM has ZERO customer service/communication skills. Mid week I scheduled my 10’ truck to pick up at 10am on Saturday. Upon arrival he says that I cannot use the truck I preordered because it was never returned. After I agree to use a different truck, I stand for 1 hole hour at the counter, waiting for their computer “processing” to go through. As I check in with him through out the hour, he sits in his chair, staring at the computer screen, and the only word he says back to me is “processing.” Then I was forced to cancel or wait an unspecified amount of time. A long line of customers who were also forced to cancel their moving plans stood behind me. Absolutely horrible. My whole moving day plans were ruined. I ended up going through Penske, which had great customer service. Thanks Erica, at 14 mile and Dequindre Penske.

Really should have looked at reviews first. Twice in 2 weeks I needed moving vehicles and small hand trucks. Today, a 15 van. No matter how many are lined up on busy weekend day, only ONE person to service everyone. Im now at a 2nd location. Friends and family waiting for my return with a truck to do a small move. Got to the 13 and Ryan location. No truck. Took care of everything early in the week. Called the day before to confirm. No maam, we dont have one. Do you have a 10...no sorry, no 10, no 15, no 20....only have a 26 TRUCK. Let me talk to my boss this is like the 7th time this happened this week.

They took my brother’s money and gave him a defective and dangerous truck with less than half a tank of gas! The headlights didn’t work, one of the side mirrors was broken, the check engine light wouldn’t turn off and the wheel alignment was horrible which made steering difficult. Save your money and go someplace else.

Unprofessional service rep. it took him three attempts to properly complete my rental agreement. I wasnt even told where the vehicle was parked in the lot . I had to walk around and match up a number on the bumper. When I did finally find it, it had a big cardboard sign in the dashboard. I took the sign out and brought back inside, the rep told me to go and put it behind the seat. Looking over the vehicle, I found the front bumper smashed and the lower panel hanging off of it . I told the rep, he went out and just ripped the panel off of the bumper . I told him I wanted to have the damaged part noted on my rental agreement and he said why? you watched me pull it off The trucks interior was filthy. I had to go back home and wash off what appeared to be spilled coffee all over the inside of the windshield so I could see while I was driving. The trucks back bed had what appeared to be motor oil all over the back back liner . Again I had to take time out to wash it off before I could load a new bed mattress on to it ..The service was poor and unprofessional and the quality of the product being rented was also poor.Needless to say, I wont be returning any time soon....

The problem I have with this place is that they are rude, have poor communication and customer service. I have never used Uhaul before, and because of my experience, will never again. I didnt quite understand why I had to put in more gas in the truck during my return, as opposed to when I received the truck. When I picked the truck up it was just slightly over a quarter of a tank. So, when I returned the truck, I had it at the same level. Come to find out, they wanted more or they will charge me a $60 fee, so, I had to run across the street to put $35 more dollars in the tank. Now, the truck is filled slightly over a half a tank. You are welcome to whoever gets it next. Then when they tell me the price I owe, They try to charge me on the same card. I told the guy that earlier when I came to pick the truck up that I will pay the remaining balance on a different card. At that time he proceeded to tell me this was fine, but when I tell the guy closing out my account this, its not possible. So, now I have to be concerned about becoming overdraft on my account. Overall, the truck worked fine and there were no problems. I just did not enjoy my experience with the workers. The first guy was reasonable, but the second guy, which I never caught his name, was very rude and disrespectful. I was set to return the truck at 8 pm, which I did, right on the dote. I understand they close at 8 pm, but why are you mad at me for? His demeanor is solely the reason I will never recommend or use Uhaul again.

Stopped in at this Uhaul at 4:41 Sunday July 7th to fill a propane tank. Once inside a clerk asked if he could help me, I said yes I’d like to fill a propane tank. To my surprise he said, I can’t help you because we are about to close and the computer is shutting down. I told him it’s not 5 yet which he replied this is what management wants them to do. I bet management doesn’t want them to turn customers away unless they don’t care about customer service either. Don’t waste your time coming to this store, there are other places that fill your tanks and some that exchange an empty for a full

This place doesnt even rate 1 star. We reserved a truck over the phone, secured it with our credit card, and got a reservation number which we gave to our daughter so she could pick up and sign for the truck. The person on the phone was fully aware of this arrangement. We later went to the office to present the physical credit card. Even though our daughter had just picked up the truck minutes before we arrived AND we presented the clerk with the reservation number, the dumber than dumb clerk could not find our reservation in the computer. After wasting 20 minutes we finally gave up. We were forced to return AGAIN when our daughter returned the truck to complete the payment. It turns out the clerk had given our daughter a much smaller pickup truck instead of the larger truck we reserved so my daughter had to make several round trips to move her belongings. This of course added to the price as we were charged 99 cents a mile. We planned on only having to make one trip with the larger truck. We protested and the clerk just stood and stared at us like we were from another planet. I am not sure he even was aware of our presence thats how out of it he was. He claimed to be the manager so perhaps that is the problem as every other customer in line with us had similar problems. He managed to lose reservations, mis-charge and generally be unhelpful to every customer there. The best part is that he promised that we would not be charged because of all of the mistakes and inconvenience but two days later charges appeared on my credit card AND my daughters. So we were overcharged not one time but TWO times. I am fighting this with my bank. This office is either run by the dumbest person on the planet or the smartest because he seems to make most of his money by purposely misunderstanding and making mistakes that cost the customer more than the intended to spend. Do yourself a favor and go to a different U-haul location. This one stinks!

This place and Uhaul itself is a freaking joke. Not only did I have to make 4 trips to get my hitch installed but they broke my taillight and never mentioned it having put a small piece of tape over the break. My mechanic discovered it as well as a loose wobbly install AND a wire that runs completely exposed under the gas tank of my van. A wire that a stick would tear off in a second. AVOID THIS COMPANY. Corporate over promises and under delivers, the stores cant keep up let alone hire quality people. My installer was a pregnant kid and I felt bad she was even having to work on my vehicle. They are completely unremarkable. They offered to give me $100 for my troubles. KEEP AWAY from this corporation - they suck.

I wish i could give them 0 stars, I reserved a truck and week in advanced, my pick-up was at 10am. I get there and the truck I reserved was not there. The employee that was supposed to bring the truck from a different location overslept and that I will not be able to get the truck until noon and that someone would be calling me when its ready for p/u. @ 12:15 I still hadnt heard from anyone, I called customer service and they told me the truck was there and to head on over...I get there and STILL NO TRUCK! After going back and forth with a VERY RUDE employee the manager came out and offered me a $50 dollar credit and I could keep the truck an extra 2 hours for the delay. The next morning I get the bill and I dont see the $50 dollar credit and I see a service fee for $30 plus money for gas...I called them and was told they took the $50 credit back because the tank wasnt exactly where it was when I got it. So I go thru hell and high water to get a truck from them and THEY messed everything up but because the tank wasnt EXACTLY where it was, why not apply that $50 credit to the $30 service fee and the 2 lil gallons they added to the truck! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!

Went to pick up a tailer I had reserved for the weekend. I get there no tailer. Its on the computer showing that had reserved it. So the assistant manger looked at other U-Haul places many were to far for me travel to given the time frame I had. So he found at another location not to to far. He called ahead said no one answered. But the trailer was available so I go on my to get it. I get there the lady at the desk didnt know what I was talking. I told the gentleman at Uhaul called and sent an email saying I would be on my to pick up a tailer. She than asked if was going to have it back in the morning. I said I was renting it for the weekend. Will that tailer was already spoken for. And so I end up with no tailer that I had reserved week and half. I was not happy I got the run around wasted my evening and made weekend longer and hard. I will most likely never go back to that Uhaul again.

THe worst customer service ever. They gave me a terrible truck with engine problems. Showed me that there is 3 quarters of gas left when there was way less in the tank. ALSO, when they gave me my estimated cost, it charged my card, then they CHARGED AGAIN for the actual cost. Worst experience ever.

Had an appt for 2 on Friday confirmed to get a hitch put on to bring back a trailer from the north Saturday. The appt was changed to 4 by someone, then when I called to complain they said 4 was too late it needed to be rescheduled for Monday.Then they call back again and say the only way to get a hitch put on my vehicle is to weld it, shouldnt that have been asked in the very first conversation, do you not weld?, do you send it out? Job cancelled! Anyone going to this place good luck, there are 5 different people that answer you with five different answers or suggestions and nothing gets accomplished. Guess you get what you pay for, I should have paid the 200 extra and gone to Jim Ashmore on John R. Bunch of scatter brained idiots, a place poorly ran by Manager Shawn Norris!

Worst customer service ever. Called ahead of time to schedule hitch installation. They took $50 deposit. We called the call-center to confirm a reservation. But when we arrive the store, the staff said they do not have any vans available and told us to call the call-center again. So we called the call center and the call center blamed the store. We end up not having a van at all.
