This is probably the best gym anywhere in the country if not the World. It is definitely the best one I have ever seen in almost half a century of working out.
I Love it! Belonged to the Y.MCA in Pleasant Hill ca for over 30 years...but sadly it doesnt meet my needs anymore...mainly because they chose to remove Our Sauna.I decided to try something New...So glad I did..they have Sauna,Steam room, hottub, pool and plenty of equipment. The hours are 5am to 11pm every day!Love 24 hour, friendly, helpful staff too!
Terrible parking situation, long lines and waits for equipment, terrible and unprofessional employees, shady business practices: charged my mom after opening after not being available for over a year due to covid with pretty much no notice, shady membership contracts and overall terrible experience. go to another gym or at least another 24, the one in moraga is pretty okay
Shady business practices - After more than a year of being closed down and not charging my credit card they just started billing again out of the blue after sending a single email noting they were going to restart charges. Literally an entire year goes by and you think it is okay to just randomly start charging customers again? I no longer work in Walnut Creek and dont live near this facility, things change a lot in a year (especially a year like this past one). When I called in they would only refund me for the portion of this current month (even though they had now charged me three times - shame on me for not paying close enough attention to my bank statement, I know). Even the staff was like, we know, lots of people didnt see the email we sent. I will be disputing the charges, good riddance corporate globo-gym you were usually overcrowded, dirty and lacked parking anyways.
Its a outdoor gym... But like its inside a tent. Its BASICLY an indoor gym but outside in a tent. There are lines for every machine and free weights. Horrible way to run a company. And the price my gosh dont even mention that. Its a total rip off but as every gym rat who doesnt own an at home gym its all we got. Oh yea and good luck finding parking. Everyone is eating chic Fila in the parking spots. And getting out is a pain in the bum. Besides that the people are dope. But there lines. WELCOME TO DISNEYLAND without the kids and ride everyone
Terrible customer service.they made me wait for no reason, there was barely 30 person inside but they said it is full.i come here everyday i know how it looks like when it is full.
TERRIBLE customer service, especially during times of COVID. A freshman business major from my school could manage this better than 2 of the general managers here, who are cold, unfriendly and have terrible customer service skills. My university recreation gym has better customer service and they do it only part time.Below are some policies that lead to this terrible service, which general managers could potentially change but have chosen not to.1st of all, when I signed up you could reserve a spot for an hour & 30 minutes. Sounds good to me right? Then they switch it to first come first serve. Okay that’s fine right? Then they cap first come first serve to 74 people, but no longer takes reservations. So if they’re at 74 people at the gym, you have to wait outside in a line until some people leave.Just today, around 2:45-3:05 PM I have called about 4 times to ask if there’s a line outside so I don’t have to drive 20 minutes and then wait outside another 30 if there’s too many people there. NO ONE ANSWERED the phone the 4 times I’ve calledI understand the times have been reduced to closing at 7 PM, but there’s no need to be ushering the few remaining people out at 6:55 pm EVERY DAY. Do that for 7 days, that’s 35 minutes of workout time that could’ve been utilized but has been wasted due to the terrible customer service. Also parking is heinous with chick fil a next door, they have parking spots labeled 24 hr fitness only but I see at least a dozen people walking to these spots with chick fil a every time I hit the gym and nothing gets done about it by the management.Used to love going to 24 hr fitness but the management at this gym is horrible.
Process to getting wifi is horrible
Kristine taught an awesome class!
Absolutely TERRIBLE parking situation with the parking there, especially with people park their cars to go to Chick-filet, but once inside there is plenty of equipment, classes and space to work out.Christina at the front desk was extremely helpful in helping me get logged in to my 24 go account as I was locked out and she went above and beyond to help me.
Dont stay past at 9:01 PM, or the employees will harass you to leave, take down your phone number and threaten you that they have cameras. Never in all my years have I been yelled at to leave a business, especially as I was literally already in the process of walking out to my car.
Good place to workout, but the parking lot is not big, so its a little bit hard to find some spot there.
The pool, steam room and sauna are open!
How come they dont have parking for bikes? They got lots of plants outside but nowhere to lock my bike lol. I might have to hook it up to the water valves that are on the side.
Overall a great 24 HR location. I love the open floor plan and variety of equipment and amenities offered. I wish more classes were offered in the early morning & evenings. Classes during the day, just dont work for many people! ALSO, I always send a prayer to the parking gods - parking is hard to come by at most hours of the day due to the Chic-Fil-A eating folks.
Im glad its open and people are actually practing social distancing.
I have been a member of 24 fitness on off for over 10 years. I buy my membership at Costco. I was contemplating on whether taking either sport or super sport, and I swang by this facility to take a look at it, but I received 0 customer service. Horrible customer service experience. The front guy was like a robot. Go do this and that! Are you kidding me? I am a potential customer. The front guys should be more flexible with customers. I do not have time go through the guest sign up process in order to just take a look at the facility. I am a returning customer. I just wanted to have an idea if it is worth it. That is it. After this I am not going with Super Sport. PARKING IS JUST NIGHTMARE AT THIS FACILITY!
The worst fitness club Ive ever met. The customer service works ugly. Employees lie and just get kicked out of the fitness club.
I’ve worked out at this facility since it opened. I recently bought personal training sessions with Jeff Blake who helped me with the last 7lbs I wanted to lose to achieve my goal. These last pounds are truly the hardest to loss. The workouts he had me do really kept me on my way to achieving my goal and getting me into the best shape I’ve been in for awhile. He inspired me to continue on my own, giving me the foundation and confidence to continue what we started. Thank you Jeff!
I love the natural light and high ceilings but I really hate the filthy window, mirrors, fans and light diffusers in the group ex room. I hope when this location reopens they will clean this place and try to keep the light diffusers and fan blades dust and dirt free.
This is the worst gym in this area, terrible customer service, they lie to your face without hesitation
Not impressed. 1 star is harsh but ill tell you exactly why. I was lied to when signing up for a membership. I was told with my membership I could access all gyms with a basketball court. Since I travel a lot, 24 hour fitness seemed like a good option. However, when I visited this location on business they wouldnt give me access. I told them all I want to do is shoot hoops for an hour and they pushed back hard! Literally arguing over this petty request even though I told them what I was told when signing up. I dont care about towel service or use the bicycle room, all I wanted to do was shoot a couple hoops! I promise I will not be signing up for another membership and I suggest you do the same. Theres much better options for a smaller price with better facilities and much nicer customer service. Save yourself the time and hassle!
Marilyn is the best Master trainer you can ever have. Me and my teenage kids have worked with her for 2 years. She taught us balance, core and functional performance. She improved my skiing skills tremendously as well as cardio stamina. She is an excellent listener who patiently works with ones specific needs and customizes exercise routine. She is NO boring cookie cutter trainer. I love her energy, motivation and enthusiasm. I love how she cooperatively works with her colleagues and other gym members. I highly recommend Marilyn as your dream trainer. Enjoy!
I really dont know what to expect when I come here. I only come on weekends. I can expect to circle the parking lot for about 5 minutes in the morning (7-10am) looking for a spot. Locker-rooms can be extremely clean, or a complete circus show. They do have a spacious floor plan though and its easy to get on equipment. The equipment itself is well maintained - huge plus.
The reason you want a super-sport gym pass is the Towel service! They definitely have it. However, Does not really match my expectation. I was working out at the super-sport gym at Livermore, which really pulled my expectation very high. There are a lot of people, you probably need to wait for the equipments. A lot of parking spaces! The fitness pads are sorting in the room at second floors.
Towels taken away, every time I go a new machine seems to be broken, chik-fil-a customers next door always take up the parking even when it States for 24 hr fitness customers only. Me, my friends and my husband will all be cancelling our memberships. Absolute shambells and the steam room always stinks
The new covid rules look like a reason not to go to the gym. The gym is a place for social gathering. Do we need an app to show us how to jump up and down at home really. 24hr management if you wish to stay in business, resume to normal asap, you will lose all your customers if you dont.
Nice, sometimes hard to find parking but usually ok. I dont use the showers or towel service, got a good two year membership deal from Costco and its definitely a great value. (Renaissance club sport - my former gym - was way nicer but also cost five six times more:)).
Large facility but can get very busy in the afternoons. Ok job cleaning, I have gone in the evening before and had no paper towels to clean machines and the towels overflowing in the bathroom. Always hair in the showers. Otherwise, large amount of treadmills/ elliptical a upstairs and weights down. I like the sauna and steam room, never had an issue with cleanliness there. People are polite, staff are knowledgeable. They have towels to use which is a nice bonus.
Bright comfortable setting for exercising. Excellent selection of machines and free weights. Never feels crowned and professional staff available to guide members. Basketball court and a second exercising floor. Pool. Jucuzzi (scum builds up and not cleared when crowded)
This place is horrible. No parking ever and lie you when you sign up for membership. So be careful while signing. Manager itself didn’t tell me about 1 year contract on membership and they keep on raising prices on membership even stopped giving towels.
Parking is based on the time you go. It can be really bad, or really good. Only time I ever see it good is before 9am. After that, its time to play drive around continuously until some leaves. Gym itself inside is not too bad.
Great facility in terms size and arrangement of equipment and access to equipment. Front desk personnel are always professional and genuinely friendly. With respect to the members. A great group of eager exercise enthusiasts and so far, very respectful of each others personal space. And lastly, a great layout, clean and spacious.
No parking available most days. The showers are unclean ( hair all over walls and floor). Staff not helpful very unclear membership conditions they tell you to speak with a Manager who is never there. But the really unpleasant experience was with the kids club, unfriendly staff greeted us in a bad mood, like “don’t bring a child here.”I really recommend to think twice before joining this gym.
Really tired of thos place. This location has gotten so over crowded that I can rarely ever find parking and use the equipment I want. Tried to cancel my membership but that required a huge cancellation fee. Do not recommend this location, it was great at a time but its popularity has ruined it. Way too crowded of a gym
Love this location! Conveniently right off the freeway and in between two freeway entrances. Super short location so they provide the towels.
Do not share your credit card details with 24 hour fitness, they will continue to bill you after you cancel and then transfer you to a foreign call center.
A lot of options and services in one place. Good but it has room for improvement esp for their aging aerobics and other workout devices. It has the potential to be super club location like the name says.
This is one of the best 24 hour fitness centers in the East Bay. Its clean, it has a lot of free weights, machines and even has a basketball court. There are also spin classes and other Rumba type classes offered. Its kept super clean for a 24 hour fitness.
Newest gym in nor cal, free towel uses! Top of the line equipment! Personal televisions! Indoor basketball! Interactive interesting workout classes! Cycling room! Astro turf wheel flipping lunging area! Lots of mirrors! Spacious zen vibe chi feel!
This place is great. bathrooms are clean showers are super nice pool hot tub sauna clean. Good attitude. I was going to the concord club but litterally it was way to dirty i couldnt take it anymore. this place is a little busy but im finding time at the times that it is not so busy and thank God for good looking women because i find it motivating well you know im a guy.. The machines are new and ya i really like this place.
Awesome! I only come in on Sundays. Will is a beast, and does a great job with his Classes! Plenty of classes, GX24 room is always perfect temperature!!! Also the Sauna, Pool, and Towel Service do not disappoint!!! Only bad thing about this place is they have a case of stolen valor running around the gym, trying to get women or whatever, and he is clearly not a Navy Seal like he claims. His tattoos tell otherwise. Wish Milbrae, and Concord could be as good as this one!!!
Excellent facility. Dont let the meat heads or amateur fitness models deter you. The equipment is great, the towels are clean, all you need to bring is your go hard attitude and a water bottle. Sign up/membership fees required.
Gym itself is fine. Has everything you would expect from a gym at this price. That being said, the parking situation is an absolute nightmare due to the number of people that come here. Normal dead times for this gym dont exist. Its peak time about 80% of the day.
I hurt my knee meniscus playing soccer in this gym. It started swelling up very fast and I needed ice immediately. Some guy from my team went to the front desk to ask for help or ice. They said they dont have ice, sorry. Really? All I get is sorry? I couldnt believe the gym didnt have a cold pack, ice, or that staff didnt give me first aid. I went to the front desk myself again to ask for help (twice). I was in pain. The front desk guy said he is sorry and he lied to me that manager is not in the gym. No ice, no help, no incident report, not even asking how I am feeling or if I need a cab to go to a doctor/home. I was sitting there for two hours, waiting for my ride home. Luckily, Allie (the girl who also works here) came around and saw me (after I was sitting there for around 90 minutes) asking if I am ok and if I need help. She found ice for me, made an incident report, and I really appreciated her help. However, my knee was swollen already. Allie did the right thing but, unfortunately, help from other employees/trainers should have arrived much earlier.I wonder if you guys need 90 minutes to help someone who gets hurt in your gym?
They have platforms but no womens bars. I called ahead to ask and they said they did. Just had to walk around the entire gym with no help to look for it. Not a bar in sight thats 15kg. I just needed to get some weightlifting in to prepare for my meet thats close to home but this isnt the place.
This gym is outstanding. If you are going to join a gym you cant beat the convenience of 24 hour fitness.Theyve got steam roomSauna,PoolEvery kind of cardioCardio, yoga, classesBaby settingAnd another 24 hour gym just minutes away.
I like the clubs location. It is large and has many activities. You can usually get a machine and there are free towels. The staff generally is lacking in people skills and seems unfriendly and disinterested. At 61 it is hard enough to stay in good shape. A couple of the handicapped parking spots are always filled with cars of people who are not handicapped and perhaps overrate their self-importance.
Thanks for still charging fees during covid 19, unbelievable.
Great atmosphere and a variety of workout equipment along with a basketball court. Additionally the entire second floor is dedicated to treadmills, cycles, stretching, and aerobic rooms. Unfortunately the gym is mostly crowded throughout the day.
They started rationing towels. I swim 3x/week and I need at least a couple large towels. One before and during swimming and another dry one after shower. Its ok if you dont see any at the entrance but if you see couple carts of clean ones in front of you and deny you 2nd towel... That sucks. Parking is always tough here too. Canceled my membership after more than a week of towel rationing.
They increased membership prices At the beginning of the year and are now removing the towel service. Horribly greedy company I hope that they go bankrupt. What’s the point of going to a super sport if there’s no towel service. The gym itself is overly busy and it’s hard to find a time to go when it’s not packed. Really not worth your time. Don’t get a membership
- Bring your own water, The Water fountain taste like a wet horse at best-The people are okay-Front desk is kinda okay, dont expect much help from them,-The janitors work hard, I always see them scrubbing something nasty ...-Equipment and weights are the best in the East Bay,-The swimming pool is very nice, better than most.-It is relatively enjoyable to work out here, never had any incidents yet ... Other than the horrid undrinkable water ...
Small gym for 24 hour fitness, always busy even late evening. Parking is tough, but I saw a sign that after 5pm members can park at the bank parking lot, which is nice. I love that they have steam room and sauna; I live across the street so I will be going there anyways. Cardio zone is pretty big and takes the whole floor. Pool is small and will be great to have more chairs/shelves to put your stuff while you are in the spa area. Maybe little bit more maintenance, especially since there are only 6-8 showers. Also shampoo/conditioner was horrible, I was not able to comb my hair for like 10 min. I can rare see toilet paper, but I come after 8-9pm.No more towel service :(
Asked me to come in to the gym to cancel my membership and pawned me off to a corporate line to do so over the phone. I am guessing they have some sort of metric they need to stay on top of. Pretty awful.
Canceled my membership, due to too $expensive$ and there is NOT sufficient parking. As well as too crowded inside...
Nice Gym, but I would not Give a 5-star rating for my experience with dirty towels.
As far as a 24 Hour gym goes, its great...All of the equipment works and they put away the weights...But it starts to get really packed by 5:30am, so the parking is limited... Thats mostly for the classes...
The staff here is excellent. The pool is clean - not so at several 24hr - maintained locker rooms. I do not care much for upper management that is not located at this facility. I have had 2 customer service related problems. The management, again not at the gym, was coldly dismissive. That is wht 4 stars. Great staff!
I cant believe they canceled the towels and prices increased. horrible.
Staff is friendly and helpful. The equipment is clean and in working order and when things break every effort is made fix it immediately. Parking can be a drag. That all said the place is packed all the time so expect that the locker room will be messy and some piece of equipment will be broken
Management is awful in this place.Be aware of this place. This gym is NOT SAFE at all. Inside and out. There are numerous car break ins everyday in parking lot. Thieves breaking into locker rooms everyday so random. They just broke into four lockers in less than five min AND all 24 hour fitness did was just to write a useless incident report.
Please DO NOT put your girls here. CHRIS GHETTI the district manager of this club DOES A REALLY POOR JOB of PROTECTING OUR YOUNG GIRLS from male abuse and sexual harassment. HE DOES NOT DO HIS JOB and SHOULD BE FIRED. In addition, I have gotten my car BROKEN into 3 times here. In addition, to my iPHONE STOLEN 2 times. The Walnut Creek Police have done absolutely NOTHING about it. I DO NOT ALLOW ANY OF MY DAUGHTERS in this club. We belong to the YMCA in Pleasant Hill. If youre new to the area; I suggest you out your girls there. Best of Luck! - Ray
So glad they are back open again!
Id give it negative stars if I could. They have this blaring obnoxious non stop sound system with commercials for apps and their website constantly. One of the machines was put together incorrectly. I pointed it out to some hipster at the desk and he basically brushed me off and kept standing there doing nothing. Its close to my house. Otherwise Id go to San Ramon. This one sucks.
Good place. A lot of activities. Pool is not very big, steam room and sauna are good
Disclaimer: I go to this gym in the evenings, around 930pm on the weekdays only, because its not as busy.I want to like this gym, but as a super sport, it falls a little short. The parking is fine during the times I go, but Ive gone during peak hours and its ridiculous. Theres an off site parking at Union Bank nearby I think, not sure how helpful that has been. Ive been to 5 super sport locations all over the bay and this is the smallest one with equipment as jam packed as it can be for a super sport. Basketball courts are always packed. Like all super sports, it is well kept so thats a plus. Despite going during less busy times, sometimes you still end up waiting a little bit for equipment, but its wait free once 945-10pm rolls around. Overall, the lack of space, insane crowd until after 930pm and crappy parking (for the peak hours) make this my lowest ranked super sport out of the 5 Ive been to in the NorCal.
Parking: smallest lot ever. No luck getting parking before 8pm. Park at the US Bank for free. Lots of break ins so hide yo kids, hide yo wives they stealing everything up in hereGym equipment: definitely not as good as 24 San Ramon but not awful. Most stuff is fixed within a few days if it breaks down.Cleanliness: most people clean up after themselves and the janitorial staff works hard cleaning up a disgusting bathroomFront desk staff: minus 5 stars. Rude and always talking amongst themselves. Not even nice enough to greet folks. Cmon guys.
There is towels, good shower cabins.Equipment is pretty good as far as I can tell, but I only work with y body weight.Water fountains with bad quality water, it tastes wrong. Its better to bring your own water.Limited parking. Its not as bad as Union City supersport, but it can be hard to find parking spot during busy times.Overall this gym is better than any Peninsula gym, better than any gym in Oakland- Richmond area, but worse than San Ramon or Pleasanton gym.
Love their 6am Cardio group exercise classes! My personal trainer Marcella was excellent!
Dirty, crowded and just bad. Stay away
Great gym, i kindly ask to make extra efforts to keep stalls stocked with tp tho.. i take 75% of my monring dumps here so its important to me.. actually im taking a dump RIGHT NOW!!!
Its funny how some people complains about parking. Park few blocks away and walk people, dont be lazy, arent you going to exercise?.. Its pretty funny how many muscle heads use the equipment for the longest time cause they take selfies left and right or have they buddy take videos of their movements..Ive been a member of 24hrs for about 20 years, this must be the most messy location Ive even seen/being, thnx to all those pigs who leave the towels all over the place. Come on guys, deposit the used towels inside the container, your mother isnt around to pick up after your mess...
Very safe parking lot, nice people, great service, really clean machines and floor; a great experience overall. I highly recommend this location to 24 hour fitness members.
Good shrooms
Great gym...all amenities work well .eye candy workout place.
Its a 24. Not much else to be said. Much better than the Concord gym following the remodel.
Great gym great equipment, no parking ever usually gotta wait and fight for spots
Nice gym. Well maintained. Only negative is that it is hard to get in and out of.
This is my favorite gym! The best part is taking a dip in the pool after heavy lifting but its usually full of old people 😂 come after hours for full access to the equipment, or peak hours to show off for all the cuties.
Always crowed unless you arrive at 3:30am.More like social hour than a gym. Put your phones down people. Work out and go elsewhere.
Have been a member since 1995. Last started in 2014 with super sport in Walnut Creek. Was traveling for 3 months. Called them Oct 30 og 2017 and asked to freez my acount till Jan 31. I come back and my membership is cancelled and found a cancellation email sent to me on Oct 31 2017. Called the gym. The manager said call the costomerservice whom I had talked back in Oct. Britney, I think was the represantetives name, said she put my account for investigation which will take 7-10 days. She said she puts a note on my account so I can use the gym meanwhile. She even said do not go to the gym right now, give it 24 hours for this to appear on your account. Todsy, almost 48 hour later, I come to the gym and they very rudely and with no understanding or compassion deny my access and treat me like I sm trying to sneak in!! Jenny her name was snd another girl. Shsme on them for treating a costomer after 23 years. I called the costomer service again while I am still at the gym and all they say is sorry, get a new membership!!! That is it? Does thst explain how snd why you cancelled my membership? Why did she tell me I hsve access then? I wouldnt walk in if I wasnt given false information and lied to. Did you just wanted to humiliate me by denying me accsess? What an embaressing moment! And to be embarressed by unprofessional people?! Shame on you for treating everyone the same. Money is not everything, 24hour fitness!
Nice gym but good luck finding a parking during rush hr...
Massive gym. They do a decent job keeping up on maintenance. They are a bit lacking on the parking however.
This is perhaps the cleanest and best equipped 24 Hour Fitness along the Hwy 680 corridor.
Other than the chic filet people killing the parking lot, Ive got no complaints.
My favorite gym! Love the zumba, U-Jam and cycling instructors.
Clean gym with lots of amenities, but parking is a real struggle
I find that there is usually something wrong with the cardio machines. My car has been broken into in the parking lot, and I thought I was lucky to get a spot.
Always well maintained. Good staff.
Towels like I paid for! Clean facility lot of new equipment. Still hate the hoist equip that moves, but most importantly NO CNN propaganda news!
Its 24HR Fitness... Always a bunch of weenies here.... damn socializers, go to the mall or a bar!
Not quite as big as the San Ramon super sport, but still very nice
Very clean and accessible. Great equipment!
Towel services has been discontinued. Parking during peak time is quite horrible.
Nice fitness club, but horrible parking. Shares a parking lot with ChicFilA which causes massive parking issues.
