Moving here from Minnesota a year ago, I was new to local post office.I had come from a notoriously bad post office with horrible customer service.I was delighted to find how nice the people behind the counter were here. It’s been a breath of fresh air.
Went to the post office today to mail a package. Usually when I go there in an older gentleman who has amazing customer service and is super friendly and helpful. Today there was a younger man with dark hair who told me I had to go tape up my package and bring it back. I asked him if he could not help me tape it like the Postal Annex ALWAYS does for its customers and even UPS helps with. This man told me to either purchase tape or go home and do it. “We don’t have free tape.” Ew. And that is why I will only use private companies like Postal Annex or UPS from now on.
Fast and efficient most times Ive been there it does get rather busy between 4-5pm.
Everytime I have been in the Walla Walla Post Office on 2nd the staff have been overly helpful and friendly. So nice in this day.
Touchet WA. 99360. Package errors approximately 20% for years since our old Postmaster retired. Recently approaching 50%. Seemingly no sense of organization. Regularly get wrong mail in POB.
I went to the post office today to find a package that I haven’t received in over a month and a half. It was delivered Sherry the person who works there said so maybe someone stole it. I told her I have a camera outside and no one dropped off anything or stole anything. So she said well maybe the postman took it to the wrong address so she said call where you bought it from and deal with them. I said why would it be their fault. She said well we can’t do anything because you don’t have insurance on it. And I said yes I do and I was going to show her and she said I will be right back! I waiting over 20 minutes and then ask the nice gentleman working if he can go get her. He called her and she never came back and told him to tell me she is doing something in the back and that was it. I was so upset. Why would this be the stores fault.
One of the people who picks up the mail from the outside bin is super nice and friendly, if she sees me driving up shell take my mail as she heads back inside, my work schedule sometimes makes me barely make it to the post office, so I really appreciate this act of kindness. She is the only reason for the extra star. But the older man who sometimes fills in for her is very rude, often will avoid eye contact and walk right past you when you pull up to the mailbox. :( Wish hed just take my mail real quick! Its not like theres a line of 20 people and it wont take two seconds...Also, USPS refund policy kinda sucks. If you mail international and it gets returned due to damage or anything, even if its not your fault, good luck getting a refund because the postal admin here will invent a way to avoid giving you a refund. If you enter customs info for the items in the package make sure you are descriptive as possible because I once tried to mail some spools of thread and they got returned for containing LIQUID.... apparently the monkeys that US customs employs cant tell if something contains liquid or not... No refund for me because I didnt write a good enough description on my customs form, despite the fact that I receive shipments of the thread with the exact same description every month from overseas with no issues. Still No refund. Had to pay over 20 bucks to ship the thing again.
I dont understand all these complaints; maybe people should try living in some other country for a while. Personally, I hugely appreciate being able to drop a letter in the mail and have it delivered across the country-- with amazingly high reliability-- in a matter of a few days.As for complaints about the personnel, imagine having to stand the their side of the counter across from some of these whiners day in and day out for years on end. I hugely appreciate the Post Office folks, and have always had friendly and helpful service in return-- I think they do the best they can, considering the system within which theyre working.
Went to buy stamps and drop off a package. The staff member was coughing and the then blew his nose on some tissues and then touched my stamps and other purchases without sanitizing. Considering the circumstances hand hygiene should be a priority.
Can be frustrating at times, but what would we do without it. An absolutely essential service!
The workers are rude, unhelpful, and discourteous. They assume they already know your problem but refuse to listen to you. Would gladly post 0 stars if possible. This is a repeat experience here.
I put a mail forwarding in about 3 months ago, I accidently order something to my old address and it wasnt forwarded. I contacted the USPS and they said to put a hold on the mail so it would have to be picked up. I did that and I still got notified they were delivered to my old address. Went back to the office and they said I cant hold mail for an address I dont live at. They eneded up sending packages back to sender because they said I didnt have a forwarding address in their file.
Incompetent people. Decided to return my package back to the store without trying to verify my informations, they just decided that im the wrong person and went ahead and decided on what to do with my item. I have to do all the email and calls to get it back, store was nice enough to reshipped it.
I have never found a group of people more barbarian. They break not only postal rules. The break the ideas fundamental to common sense. I dont know where to find such people other than the US Post Office.
No matter what I do, besides hand delivering my own mail, my rent check has been late every month for the past 3-4 months due to the USPS being so slow it makes the wild west pony express look faster!!! No wonder people are using the net for everything we can because we cant count on the USPS to get the job done quickly...get with it or give it up!!!
I love the fact that my post woman attempts to deliver my packages but states my business was closed. Thats odd since Ive had customer in and out all day long!! Lazy ass.
Ive had great experiences shipping packages here. Employees have been friendly and helpful.
I love my mail man he is friendly and my local post office is super helpful and friendly. Even on their busiest days, they are still nice to you!
They are nice and friendly. Helped me with what i needed
Lazy workers and rude to boot good luck with these people...
I love my normal mail man but they must have a sub and the sub must be stuped because myself and my naibors havent gotten our mail in a few days like were just being skipped?????
Unhelpful, rude employees result in terrible experiences. If negative reviews were allowed, I would give them one. Customer service is not their strong suit.
If I could, I would not even put a one star. The employees are rude and have raised their voices at me when I hand them my package slip and ask questions regarding my mail. Whoever does my mail, always leaves it outside my mailbox which is on the street and will not leave it at my door or give me a package slip. They are rude and unthoughtful.
Not sure if they are the ones who deliver mail or not but if anyone is parked near the mailboxes in their way, they wont even bother to stop and deliver your mail. Theyre too lazy to get out of their little mail trucks and walk 5 feet. Like really? How much do u get paid?
Like all federal offices, no customer service
Just terrible.
Lady is always rude when I go in
Postal employee are rude and short
