I was charged a 400$ fee. I was told I smoked marijuana and burnt holes in seat. I do not smoke have not smoked cigs in over 20 + years. Cant smoke weed because of my job, which gives random 10 panel drug test. It was myself and 2 granddaughters in vehicle With that being said I have yet to hear from management. Also said I had to pay for a window that was already cracked because a rock hit the windshield cracked it right next to other. Vehicle was not clean when I picked it up.STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM MANAGEMENT 14 days later.
Iam not surprised this location is now closed down, and no longer operating. The management is horrible. This supposed manager named Sergio couldn’t get any of my reservation needs met. He wouldn’t even answer the employees call or respond to her, the employee on the other hand (Monica) was excellent. She did everything she could for us. I’m sad to see this employee leave this company, but I’m extremely glad she has found something bigger and better where she will be appreciated for all of her hard work. Please visit Avis budget for future rentals.
Monica is an Outstanding Hertz Rep to rent a car from at Hertz Walla Walla Airport!!!! She was exceptional in every way professionally possible when I rented a car on June 14, 2019. My first contact with Monica was over the phone when I called to inquire about renting a car. Over the phone I was immediately impressed with Monicas professional manner & her kindness & her patient attitude even though I asked a lot of questions & had to change my plans a few times, Monica never rushed me on the phone or made me feel like I was taking up too much of her time. When I met Monica to rent the car, I was impressed with her efficiency & accuracy in her putting together the rental contract & her knowledge of the cars she rents. There was genuine sincerity from Monica when she wished me a safe & enjoyable road trip. I have rented many cars in the past & have met many car rental reps, but honestly Monica is the Best Rep I have ever rented a car from. Thank you to Monica!!
Placed a reservation to pick up a car about a week or 2 in advanced. We drove an hour to go pick it up for a birthday trip. When we arrived there was a hand written sign saying theyre closed until the 5th. I received no call or voicemail from Hertz stating they were closed when my reservation was already paid for. We called and Kevin answered the phone stating he had to suddenly cancel my reservation and tried to leave a voicemail but it was full. I checked my call log, no missed calls, my mailbox isnt full and we reserved and paid for the car 2 weeks ago. Terrible customer service.
I must emphatically recommend this Hertz location. The employee I always work with is Monica, and she has gone above and beyond on multiple occasions to accommodate my arrival times and ensure a smooth pick up experience. She is truly an earth angel and the most helpful customer service person I’ve ever encountered!
EDITED review: Added a $500 charge for insurance I did not want. It was sneakily hidden under LDW headline. After some debate with the corporate billing office, I was able to get them to remove the charge. I have since added a star to my review, but I wanted to leave it up to warn people to carefully look through their receipts for hidden charges. I verbally said I didnt want insurance, but the girl at the desk added it anyway. Be careful.
Would have given zero if that .only one person working at the location on the day we are supposed to pick up a car, had made a reservation and we drive an hour to pick it up only to find that the clerk was not there for the day. On a Friday after we had made reservations. Why do you only have one clerk?! Very dissatisfied with this aand the person that we contacted on the phone was pretty rude. how are you even in business?
Monica was outstanding. Our National rental car broke-down and they could not replace it. Hertz took care of us quickly
Worst rental car experience ever. Needed a vehicle after an accident. Insurance gave us $25 a day. Made the first appointment over the phone. I drove out there and they were closed. For real? Called again. They made another appointment and promised I would get a free upgrade. Drove out again and they didnt have the appointment in the system so didnt have a car ready. Waited around for 1.5 hours because the system apparently kept shutting down so she had to handwrite it, and they finally gave us a Nissan Armada. She couldnt figure out a price but said that it would be taken care of. But then they called at 5 pm (closing time of course) and said it would cost $50 a day after insurance but since it was not our fault we shouldnt have to pay for the extra. So, we drove back first thing the next day and got a GMC terrain for 4 days. They said it would cost $12 a day after insurance (although we were promised an upgrade which was not honored), which would be $48 plus tax. Somehow we got a bill for $125!?!?Never again!
They took my reservation but unfortunately did not have a car available. They were nice and apologetic . At least they didnt charge me. Uber to the rescue.

Terrible customer service, Its difficult to get in touch with this office since they are closed on the weekend, problem with over charging and took days before they even checked my car in. I used Hertz because it was a little cheaper than Enterpirse but will never use Hertz again...sometimes you get what you pay for.
The service is terrible. It takes about 45 minutes to rent a car with Gold Status.Stay clear. Pay more. Do anything but rent from this location.
I visited Walla Walla last week with 9 friends. We had reserved 2 SUVs several months ahead of time. When we arrived we were greeted by a young man with a trainee name tag. He told us that he could not help us and that the person who could help us would not be there until 3pm. He said he usually washes cars and does not work at the counter. He said that they had tried to call us the Friday before to notify us but neither I nor my friend received any call. We heard them tell the same story to a gentleman who came to the counter after us who also had not been notified. Obviously management knew that there was a problem but took no measures to address the fact that anyone arriving before 3pm would not be able to get a car from Hertz. We were fortunate that Avis and Budget which were next door were able to accommodate our needs. Unless management changes at this location I would not recommend Hertz.
