Laurie Hunt provided me with a free consultation some years ago related to my older home. She went through the house with me and talked about what would and wouldnt get me the most bang for my dollar should I ever decide to sell. Well fast forward four years and I was ready to sell. Over the course of those four years I made some of the improvements she recommended and wouldnt you know it, my home sold in a matter of days and the offer was over asking price. Laurie was excellent! As first time home buyers, my wife and I knew very little. Laurie was always very patient and helped answer all of our questions. As first time home buyers, looking in a very competitive area, my husband and I did a lot of research on the home buying process and did not commit to working with a realtor until we were 100% sure that we found the right one. We are so thankful to have been introduced to Laurie as she exceeded all of our expectations! She is incredibly knowledgeable about the area (we bought in Melrose and she knows a lot about all surrounding communities) and local vendors. Before we started looking at homes together, she sat down with us to really understand what kind of homes we were interested in and walked us through the process step-by-step. During the offer phase, she offered invaluable information and strategies to make sure we were competitive but not overpaying. From the beginning of the process through closing, she was always a text or phone call away and made sure all of our questions were answered and we felt comfortable with the next thing to tackle. Even after closing, she accompanied me to some post-closing meetings related to the house which was simply above and beyond and she continues to be super helpful and attentive as we prepare to move in to the house. Laurie was incredible in helping us find our home. We had difficulties with the bank and Laurie was right there with us every step of the way. She made the home buying experience so much less stressful for us. It took us a while to find a house and Laurie never lost patience with us while we looked at house after house. She suggested that we look at the house we ended up buying even though we werent interested in it. She reminded us to look with eyes wide open, and see the potential. We are in love with our home and our kids are so happy to be back in their neighborhood. None of that would have been possible without Lauries help. Buying and selling a house is a very stressful time. We could not have asked for someone better to guide us through this process. Laurie was excellent to work with. There was very low inventory in both the town and price-range we were looking for so it took almost 2 years to finally find what we were looking for. For the average person, the biggest investment you will make will be your home. One should not go into that lightly, and on their own. I had the pleasure of working with Laurie Hunt to purchase our current home in Wakefield. Laurie was the extra set of eyes, who could see things in a house that we as buyer could not. Both bad, and good. One instance that stands out had to do with closet space. Laurie took out an average size hanger, showed us that the closets were insufficient in size, and it would not fit our needs. The experience of having someone represent us, as buyers was very eye opening,. We are very happy we had a true professional in Laurie that had our best interest as heart.
