Friendly, helpful staff. We have purchased pool and grilling products and have gotten advice regarding our outdoor space. Scott has been assisting us with a new pool which has been delayed due to supply chain issues. He has kept us informed on a regular basis.
I can’t post enough bad things about this place. I recently purchased a swim spa from here and it has been nothing but issues. Please research before you buy is all I can say. I wish I had gone elsewhere for sure. When I purchased my pool from backyard leisure everything was included. Everything. With this spa I had to have someone poor a concrete slab, hire a concrete truck for the concrete, Hire an electrician to wire it, hire a crane to install it. All they did is deliver a 2,000lb spa to my doorstep. The guys they sent to deliver and install it acted like it was the first time they ever did it. The crane guys did more work than them to get it in place. As it was being installed they are harassing me for payment the entire day it was being installed. I mean literally while it was in the air on a crane being put in, they were calling me nonstop. Then when the spa didn’t work as it should I called them and told them what was going on and after two days of them trying to “recreate” the issues in the store model for the two days, they couldn’t and set up an appointment for 5 more days out. Which my spa had to sit there with water filled and no filtration going. Now when you buy something, this expensive especially, you expect someone to come out and show you how it works, at least I did. If that had happened the issue could have been found earlier and avoided most of the issues we were having with it. The “set up” or “installation” as they call it was 3 guys wiping it down and putting fixtures on. Not one of them knew how the spa worked or how we should start it or run it. They gave us a pamphlet from the manufacturer, which was just a basic spa, not even our own type of spa. Which if it was the electrical probably came from the electrician not having the pamphlet for our own specific type of spa. Which leaves me to the big issue. After the repair guy came out the 5 days later and fixed the issue, they claimed it was the electrician that wired it wrong. So then they called me and wanted me to pay a service fee because it was not the spas issue itself or send the bill to the electrician. Which I’m still not convinced of because the spa still shuts off almost immediately after starting it and sometimes randomly and won’t respond to the app installed in it. And I was never told there even could be a service charge if the issue was not with the spa itself. Otherwise I would have went through the warranty or my homeowners insurance to avoid the charge, which there is no service call for either. I’m appalled that a company would treat their customers this way. I would never purchase anything from this company again and wished I hadn’t this time. It’s made it incredibly hard to even enjoy the purchase.
We had a great experience purchasing a Hot tub at choice Pool and spa. After being told that there would be a 6 to 12 month wait at two competitors, due to the pandemic, we came here. Johnna is one of the best sales people I have ever dealt with. She’s very friendly, informative, helpful, patient and honest.. after hours of online research, I wanted to buy a USA made Aspen spa model, which was a new brand for this site. Instead of making a quick sale, she volunteered to have this model set up so I could test it out. I did and I loved it.Delivery was done quickly, for free and efficiently. They were able to maneuver through my 40 inch fence doorway. There was a minor problem with my LED lights and they came out the same day to fix it.We have been in it almost every day since Christmas and have had no problems and we are enjoying it immensely. If you are considering a hard tub or swim spa do yourself a favor and go see Johnna at choice Pool and spa now!
I came here because I needed my pool water tested only to be informed that they discontinued this service starting this season. When the word POOL is in your name I feel that support for POOL owners is part of the deal. I was greeted and the person I spoke to was friendly. The name is... not helpful when you sell at face value grills, and hot tubs. IDK if they sell pools as well. You will have to see for yourself.
We recently bought our first hot tub and love it. Johnna has been extremely helpful with all of the questions that come along with being a new hot tub owner.
Ive recently had the pleasure of purchasing a hot tub from Choice Pool and Spa of Wake Forest. More specifically the attentiveness I received from Johnna was spot-on from the moment I called to inquire. She came over to our place that same day and went over several options. She was not only extremely knowledgeable about tubs, but also very funny and honest; never once shying away from where our senses of humor aligned. For being a big purchase, Johnna knew exactly how to make it not seem so big. More specifically, she mapped out a plan for the patio, the electrical, delivery, installation and upkeep. Each step along the way Johnna answered every text and phone call with promptness and integrity. I would definitely recommend Choice Pool and Spa to my friends and family.
Worst customer service I have ever seen bought an $8000 spa that has never worked properly since day one. called dozens of times to request service to have them send me parts to do repairs myself. they sent me several ozone generators which didnt fix the problem every time I call they apologize that they somehow forgot about me 4 years later still havent seen a technician yet. Spend your. Money elsewhere they will not live up to the big promises they give to sell a spa.
Great selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Had a new hot tub selected and ordered in 15 minutes. Highly recommend!!
Fantastic service, knowledgeable staff, and overall enjoyable experience. We purchased our first hot tub from Choice Pool & Spa June 2020. Despite a high demand (pools and hot tubs in high demand during quarantine), they had a good choice of inventory and had exactly what we wanted. The buying experience was easy and hassle free
I struggled as to whether or not to write this review, but here goes. Up until last week, I have been a very happy repeat customer. I bought my first spa from Choice Pool about 17 years ago back when they were next to the babies-r-us in Raleigh, met the owner and had a great experience. We bought our second one when we moved 14 years ago. Weve had our spas serviced by them as well. Price, selection, service has always been great. Weve even referred neighbors who also bought a spa from them.A month ago, we decided to look at upgrading our spa. Apparently everyone else during this pandemic has had the same thought, as inventory is very scarce. I priced out a spa from a brand they carried, and was quoted $13,500, firm. Ok, great. Having no idea if this was a good price, and I like to be an educated consumer, I called around to a few other dealers who carried the same line and model, and was dismayed when they quoted me a much lower price, anywhere from $9200 to $9600, all with the same cover, chemicals, etc. Same spa model, same extras that came with the deal. When I called Choice Pool and Spa back about 10 days later, I was now quoted over $18,000 for the same spa. So thats double the regular price and a $5000 jump in less than 2 weeks. I confirmed again the price, make and model, thinking I had made a mistake. When I questioned the woman why the price had jumped so much, I was told With coronavirus, inventory is scarce and you can throw MSRP out the window. And this is why Im writing this review. Look, I understand times are tight right now, but is fleecing the customer, especially repeat customers, really the best business strategy? I understand a small markup, but $9000 markup on a $9000 spa? Thats crazy. It is absolutely their right to charge whatever they want, no argument here. But it is also my right to go somewhere else to make my purchase. In some businesses, like gas stations, this would be illegal. Not sure if the original owner is still involved, or if he has sold out and this is from new management. Anyway, have been very happy with them until now, and sad to have had this happen.
How do I get a repair made on my hot tub from Choice Pools and Spas. Please don’t tell me to call, I have 4 times and they just say there is no one in today. We leave a message with them and no one calls us back. I guess to answer my own question, I will have to drive the 45 minutes to the store. This is getting very frustrating.
Awesome service quick solutions
Johnna answered all our questions and was super friendly! Great experience.
Great service and prices and inventory
I had an excellent hot tub buying experience with Choice Pool & Spa. Everything from the purchase to delivery. Johnna did a wonderful job helping my wife and I find the best hot tub for our family and Eric did an excellent job delivering.
Very friendly and helpful people and they give great support for the spa I purchased from them.
Amazing service!! I called several local spa companies this morning, and Eileen at Choice Pool & Spa was the only one who made an effort and was helpful! She inquired into the issue we are having with our hot tub and instructed me on what we need to do. Huge props to Eileen...she goes above and beyond! I highly recommend Choice Pool & Spa!
Great place and great guys. Went above and beyond on making me happy with my Green Mountain Grill.
Customer service is horrible.. Id rather talk to a automated system.. They might be better in store rather than calling.
We had an appointment on May 10th for an estimate on an in ground pool, but have yet to receive one (it is now August 7th). Scott from Choice Pool and Spa stopped responding to us on 5/23.Based on what he had to say and his knowledge at the estimate, we were prepared to choose this company, we really liked them, but we unfortunately we will have to go elsewhere.
Appalling customer service. The older male manager might be the most ill-mannered and impolite individual I’ve ever come across in a customer facing setting. Do yourself a favor and don’t be fooled by the nice pool display with the palm tree outside and go invest your hard earned dollars at a place where the leadership believes in customer service as there are plenty others in the area. I’m in the market for a pool and will be sure to never buy here.
After going round and round for 3 months with the local company who sold hot tub to get parts and got nowhere. I ordered from Choice Pool and Spas and the parts were delivered within 3 days. I did order a wrong part and called and in 5 minutes they had the right part and returned the old part and they shipped new part within 3 days. They were great to work with. Wished they were closer to me for when I need to buy a Hot Tub.,
Trash. Went there to buy a grill Green Mountain Grill this weekend. Would not honor the manufacturer pricing online. Direct quote we mark them up more to make money Drove to North Raleigh bought one an hour later.
It Is not open until 5 pm on Sunday, please update your info.
Talked to the folks at the Home Show and gave them all our information and details regarding the project. They kept saying they couldnt tell me anything because the person that could help us was not there. They would call us and schedule a day and time to come out and look at the project. Almost a month later and nothing. We had three other companies come out, all were a pleasure to work with, but decided on one after seeing the design and options. I guess the people at Choice Pool and Spa are so busy they dont have time for us or they just dont care about losing a job for over $80k or maybe they thought we couldnt afford it? Well, all of my neighbors are asking me whos going to do the work and it wont be them.
Hopefully you did your due diligence before contracting with these guys. I contracted to install a new fiberglass pool. This is my first pool (by the project smoothness it is also Choices first), and I was looking for guidance to make sure everything was done according to specs. Boy was I wrong. Your sales/dont call him a General Contractor person from choice is useless (mine was Scott). You have never seen someone shirk responsibility in your life. DONT anticipate any help. He will gladly put you in contact with his collections of incompetents (and stand by their prior work), but he is zero help when his crew screws up.the person Scott selected to dig the whole, dug too deep. Dont worry Scott passed the blame to the guy in the backhoe. Actual fault of the guy who decided to skip the day and left the guys to their own devices.....Scott.the person Scott selected to install the pool, put the pipes and valves inthe wrong direction, didnt pull out the pins from the valves. again, the person putting the plumbing in didnt know how to do it correctly. Scott blamed him and then let me fool around rectifying it until he decided to step in and do something. The electrician Scott selected failed the electric review from Wake county. Get this one, the electrician installed a non gfi outlet next to a pool (you cant make this up).The gas guy Scott selected to install the piping laid it right over the chlorinator. This is a part you need easy access to in order to clean. Good news is the guy who I was paying to handle my pool (another friend of Scott) never tried to clean the part in the 6 months he was doing the work (should have at least been inspected every 2 months). Imagine the shock to them both when you tell them you cant get to the chlorinator. And these guys have done this before? Scott shirked getting this fixed, so I had to step in and rectify the situation. Again, as he will tell you, he stands behind no ones work (including his own).Training for your new pool. Forget it. Scott will have a guy come out and pretty much gloss over everything and then try to sell you weekly visits. Excellent. So you can have an untrained high school student walk around your pool with a net for $85 a week. Go to waketech and take the CPO course, it is the best $200 of this entire experience. Now for the best. When they installed the pool they used sand not gravel and/or not enough fill (Scott cutting corners and saving money. Remember the part where they dug the hole too deep, this is where it comes back to bite you. Same amount of material, bigger hole, what could go wrong?). Now the floor of the pool is bulging (probably from the lack of fill and the fiberglass is discoloring after 1 year (still a mystery but it could be the gel coat getting stretched). Now I get to fool with Leisure pools in Tenn because Scott has disappeared (feel free to give me a call, you have my number. last time we spoke you said you would be right out April 28, 2019.....still waiting). So I filed the warranty claim (started in April and still no resolution) for an issue that Scott caused.End of the day, dont bother. Go to rising sun or some other local business who has the integrity and wherewithal to actually get competent people to install your pool. If you are currently working with these guys, hold off on the last payment for at least a year, so you can make sure all the corners they cut are found. It is cheaper to be sued than to have no recourse.Thank you Scott for ruining a once in a life time project. Lesson learned.
Great deal and Great service
Always know their stuff...great owners and staff!!
Consummate professionals, reasonable prices. Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
When you walk into a pool store to buy salt because over the winter you neglected to check your levels through the winter and you ask for 6 bags of salt one would expect to hear sure, can I help you load it? You do not expect to hear We dont have any, we will get some in a few weeks and besides unless your water is warm it wont do anything anyway. we have some shock though. LOL! I dont need shock I need salt. Off to Walmart for salt! Now 12 hours later, salt added. Pool is crystal clear and simply needs a vacuum and pollen to be filtered out. SMH
Quick in and out. Sales rep understood what I️ needed and had it in stock.
