Vivian has had my back for several years now. As a senior with multiple health problems, sometimes I need someone to help negotiate healthcare, insurance and just life issues. I know if I suddenly go in the hospital Vivian can help me out as she has proven several times. At one point a few years ago, assisted living was considered. Vivian crunched the numbers and showed me a spreadsheet letting me realize I could stay independent a while longer. With my permission, she coordinates my care, if needed, with my sister in another state. Both my sister and I feel much more comfortable with my living independently with Vivian and the others at Preferred Living standing ready to help when needed.

Vivian McLaurin is an angel on Earth. Vivian helped me move my mother with dementia into assisted living from out of state to Raleigh in a very short period of time during a pandemic. Cannot say enough good about the folks at Preferred Living Solutions. I was dealing with the terminal illness of my wife, when my mother had a stroke and had to be hospitalized. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed, but when I was referred to PLS,, I found the help I needed.Ashley went right to work, arranging for in home care and coordinating my mothers discharge from the hospital to the perfect time for me to get there. She returned to the house with us to make sure all was as it should be, and then continued to help us over the next few months with numerous issues. She helped my mother, and she saved me by always having my back, and knowing just what to do when needed.I highly recommend their services, and thank them for the much needed help.

My friend was at wits end about finding a new independent living retirement home in which to live.After trips to several apartment homes and to retirement homes, there was still no good fit.Another friend introduced me to Beth Levine, Aging Life Care Manager from Preferred Living Solutions. Within two days, Beth was able to find the perfect solution—an Independent Living Retirement Community that was affordable provided three meals/day/had physical therapy on-site/medical care on-site. It had a convenient location, transportation to specialty doctors, etc.—Everything that was needed was at the facility.Beth made it so easy. Within a very reasonable time, the client was in the new facility. Beth had signed up a primary care doctor, a digestive care doctor helped organize medications (dates, quantity, times to be taken.)Beth has been very professional in all her dealings with my friend, even finding reduced costs for dental work that was badly needed.Beth has always been conscientious about setting up appointments, securing transportation, keeping track of appointments, calling with friendly reminders, etc.She has been most diligent about any follow-ups that were essential. She is an excellent communicator with me, keeping me apprised of events before they were happening, and asking me for help with transportation for the client if needed.Beth has been constantly “on the ball” with everything. So much so, that one day I asked Beth, “Do you ever stop Working?”Beth has been like an angel from heaven who came into our lives just at the right time. Beth was a Godsend to my family. My parents had been caring for my uncle (who had Alzheimers) for several years. When they became unable to continue, my Mom became overwhelmed with the process of finding a good fit for him. Upon finding Beth, she took the torch and made everything easy and seamless for my Mom. She helped secure a place for my uncle and communicated with us as things came up either by phone or Zoom. She truly made my Moms life easier during a very difficult time for her. Preferred Living Solutions has been a God send in assisting with my parents healthcare. I live out-of-state, but Vivian accompanies my parents to their doctor appointments, provides reports to me and explains/reinforces the doctor’s instructions.
