Extremely super nice guys. Graham is a true gentleman and knowledgeable about the river. From launch to end, super easy..very nice run along the Neuse. All equipment supplied. Can take a hour and a half or 3, or more, places along river to chill if desired. Defiantly will do again.

Graham was very personable and gave very clear instructions. The equipment was clean and in great well cared for condition. Wonderful experience kayaking down the Neuse River!!! I look forward to more adventures when they reopen Spring of 2022!!

Super friendly. I love that we were able to be dropped off with the kayaks and all equipment is provided. The website makes it easy to reserve select dates and time. Definitely coming back with more friends! Only suggestion would be to put up a sign for your entrance since we drove past it at first but it wasn’t a hassle.

Its a nice trip for all ages! Took 9 yr old son once and 18 yr old nephew another time. Both enjoyed it! Nice leisurely paddling. Saw a ton of turtles sunning, a Blue Heron pretty close up, a couple hawks, and many other birds.

Im so happy that a Neuse Outfitters was formed and is getting people back out on the river. My interactions with a parking pass has been great. Graham was very helpful and explained new canoe launches.

Had a fantastic experience with the Neuse River Team on a weekend getaway with my son to Merchants Millpond State park for some Kayak Camping and Fishing. (If you havent been, its a very unique an fun getaway that is pretty non-standard as far as State Parks go). As one of the few kayak rental spots around that will let you take a boat w/o doing a tour, they set you up and for a competitive price! The guys nabbed us a great tandem kayak and associated gear and ensured proper setup to roof racks. As i was returning, I talked to some folks just finishing their tour and they also had very positive things to say. Will be returning again for another adventure.

What a great time! This is the best way to relax and spend a few hours on the water. These guys are awesome! I would highly recommend using them for a Kayaking rental.

Convenient and easy: located on Capital Boulevard between Raleigh and Wake Forest, we met Graham and he shuttled us to the launch point. Graham provides life vests, and paddles, the yaks, launches them, assists us to board them and gives us instructions and information about the trip. The float down the Neuse River was slow and easy with the slow current. A few spots with shallow logs, or bottom, but not a problem. Saw lots of turtles, a heron, a fish eagle(?), and a few friendly people on the shore fishing. After about 1-1/2 hour we reached the end where Graham helped us off, and we left. Graham took care of everything, was friendly and informative about the river.

Super knowledgeable local company! The owner, Graham, has spent countless hours on the river and it shows as he shares his knowledge with customers. The rentals are the quality you want to have for a day on the river. Fishing kayak rentals are also great for the angler looking to catch some fish along the river. A great time outdoors right in the heart of Raleigh!

The location was slightly hard to find, but we got there. The trip was well organized with no surprises and equipment well maintained. We floated leisurely down the beautiful section of river, with minimal paddling, for nearly 3-hours! Everybody else passed us, and besides a few fishermen and other lazy flotillas, we were alone and could very much relax and enjoy nature. The price was very reasonable considering the most difficult thing we had to do was put on life-jackets and try not to loose our paddles :D Were very happy overall, and looking forward to the next time we book a trip.

This company is amazing. They were able to handle 30 people, delivered and picked up kayaks. Wonderful day on the Neuse. I will be working with them again!

Graham gave us great instructions for our first ever kayak trip. From the moment we arrived at the pick up point until he placed our kayaks in the water, we received excellent and friendly service. Once we got on the River, we enjoyed a lazy River pace and saw plenty of turtles, herons, and other birds. The whole trip was about two hours and we had a blast. Good time. If you arent the type that owns your own Kayak and you just want to spend an hour and a half floating down the Neuse on the weekend, its a nice time. They provide Single and Tandem Kayaks, which are great if its just you and your child.They will drive you up to the launch point at the source of the Neuse River, provide all the Safety Gear, Kayak and Paddles, and will drop you off. You float down at your place until you arrive at their location at Capital Blvd.Wanted to take my kid for Fathers Day Weekend. We got rained out with a torrential downpour, but NRO called and rescheduled us for the following weekend with no issues.Wear sunscreen, we got a bit burnt by the sun. But all in all, a good time.

We booked a fly fishing casting lesson with Graham Jackson at Neuse River Outfitters and would highly recommend it. We are beginners and Graham showed us the basics of fly rods and casting techniques. He gave individual instruction and we all felt more confident by the end of the lesson.

Graham went above and beyond in assisting with our employee celebration at Falls Lake. I was worried about how I was going to be able to rent and transport kayaks for 35 people. He responded to my request quickly, and when I mentioned that I’d have to rent a uhaul to transport the kayaks, he offered to bring the kayaks to me without hesitating, even though we were 30 minutes away and he had to make more than one trip. I highly recommend Neuse River Outfitters to anyone looking for kayaks with the best customer service around. There’s no way I’ll ever go to anyone else for my kayaking needs.

Having worked for years with the previous vendor at this site, this was the first time I brogght my Meetup group on the Neuse with Graham and Beuse River Outfitters. We had no issues whatsoever (except for the low river flow - and we cant blame Graham for that!)- great communication throughout, they had the kayaks out in a timely fashion, and were prompt on the pickup. It was an annual trip with the previous vendor and we wull be continuing with NRO in the fitire.

Tubing Tips! Buy a day parking pass from Neuse River Outfitters and you can park one car in their lot and another at the Falls of Neuse Canoe Launch. Start your tube trip at Falls of Neuse Canoe Launch. The float takes ~4 hours and you end up back at the Neuse River Outfitters.

For a business to just be starting up over a month ago, I feel like we got the experience and courtesy of someone who has been in business for 10+ years. The owner was kind and polite. My wife and I are a spur of the moment couple, so when we decided to go kayaking out of the blue we didnt bring anything with us. We asked Graham when we got there if he would sell us water or sun block but he didnt have any to sell. Much to our surprise he offered to drive us to a near by gas station that was on the way to purchase what we needed. The kayak trip itself was relaxing and it can get crowded depending on the time you go. (There were other people who were floating down the river.)But over all it was a great experience! Will definitely go again!
