I can not stress how unprofessional this group is. After returning my rental which was at approximately 5:30 I had to leave the keys on visor because they close at 5They charged me for a locksmith to make keys because they didnt think to look on visor!!! Then would not return my money after I pointed it out and they found them. P how are you going to be a rental car company and close at 5:00 and do not have a key drop box so again I strongly stress do not do business with this illegitimate company. Enterprise is definitely the way to go cheaper better friendlier smarter key drop box open till 7:00 the list goes on and on its a no-brainer

I can’t stress this enough how much I love coming to this location, they are always polite they are always prompt they are always knowledgeable and it feels good spending your money somewhere you feel your business is appreciated, somewhere they treat you like a valued customer. I over love this office and all of the ladies.

Unable to communicate to each other, unable to follow through with a scheduled appointment, no sense of awareness about what vehicles are in stock or available. Went back and forth for two days with inconsistent answers about available vehicles, whether they could or couldn’t pick me up, and as I get in my buddy’s truck for a ride to work, I get a call from a driver saying he’s outside my house, right after getting off the phone being told nothing would be available. Next thing I know, on the phone the next morning I’m being told I’ve been blacklisted for cussing out a member of their office and no-showing for a pick-up appointment and I need to contact my insurance company.Absolutely ridiculous conduct in professionalism and customer service and slandering a customer due to their own mishandling.

Do NOT rent from Hertz!! I rented a Cargo Van on Friday August 13th and it was returned to their lot on Sunday August 15th. My credit card company reached out to me because there was five charges of $100 starting on Monday August 16th. When I tried to call them Friday August 20th no answer and then I drove to the location which is now temporarily closed. After calling the Temple location and the corporate office they determined the Waco office did not close the account. I was then told they will email the office to get it fixed. Then I get this nasty email on Saturday from Erin Overturf saying I need to return the vehicle. First off I returned the vehicle on time. There should be no reason why money is being taken off my credit card and I’m receiving threatening emails. Their office technically is stealing from my account on something that’s in their possession. I’m to the point of hiring a lawyer because this is stressful situation when I know I’m in the right. They have surveillance cameras that can be viewed which will show they are wrong. I hate I ever thought about renting from them!! If you are planning to rent just go to Enterprise or any other rental company. Hertz will just rip you off and cause pain and suffering!! This is the worst business I ever encountered in Waco!!!

My youngest had her car in the shop. She went online and set up a rental because she had a trip to make. the time was set. The next day I picked her up from work and took her to get her rental. On the way she looked up her reservation. They had changed her pick up time. She changed it back. We got to the place, which was inside a dealership. We drove around the area three times because we saw no signs. Anyway the lady told her that because she changed her pick up time and it had been less then 24 hours there would be a fee! My daughter was exasperated but said fine. Then when she went to pay the lady said a debt card was not good enough that she needed a major credit card. My daughters card was at home. An hour away. So it would be a two hour round trip. The lady said because She wasnt taking it now the reservation might not hold! We got in my truck and my daughter said she knew why they were cheaper now. She called back and cancelled the rental then called another rental place and we went by and she had a car for her trip and was on her way home 45 minutes later.

This location is no longer here, yet Hertz still sends you here in the address they email you for drop off and pickup. Very frustrating and an unprofessional. Hertz also put me in a car, but had on record I was driving a different car. It made returning it quite complicated and didn’t give me much confidence that I wasn’t going to be charged for whoever was driving the car they thought I was in. The whole thing was a terrible first experience with Hertz...and I wouldn’t spend the money with them again after this.

I will never recommend anyone to rent a car from this place. My car was damaged by a hailstorm on the 27th. My insurance place the reservation to pick up a rental. No call to confirm when will I be able to pick up a vehicle. I had to call 4xs in one day just to get someone on the phone. The person I spoke with told me my only option was a mini van which I didnt have a problem with that. Once arriving the rep acted as if I was getting on her nerves. Never again will this company get my business.

Tanisha was very helpful, informative, and polite. She answered all of my questions and had the rental vehicle ready to go. Great customer service. Really appreciated her helping me. Bill was pretty awesome too. He was able to take me to my car at Service King and made sure everything was good to go. Thanks Hertz!!

Awful experience for my first time to use Hertz. Made a reservation for pick up at 3:30pm to drop off my car and pick up a rental. They cancelled it and said it was to late for a pick up because they close at 4pm and they are on their way out of the office at 3:30pm, but doesn’t it only take 7 minutes to get you into your rental. That is what one of their employees said to me in pervious conversation.Very disappointed in costumer care. Would not recommend it.

DO NOT EVER GO HERE. THE GUY WILL RIP YOU OFF. HE IS A LIAR AND A CHEAT. We were forced to go through these people for insurance. They told us it was going to be $11/day for the SUV. Us being shocked it was that low repeated it back to him he said yes. We signed everything and then when we were in Louisiana we got a call saying the car was due that day or we would be charged $37/day till it was returned. Being in another state we were unable to return the car. We were also shocked that our insurance allowance was already gone through. We called Hertz and they said it was $37/day for the whole time. We told them we were told $11 and they basically said well you are SOL. They guy was a liar and a deciever. This is the first time we have ever had to get a rental and it was the worst experience we have ever had. He didnt go over the contract with us at all. His excuse is he already went through it with us verbally 🙄 next time I know not to take peoples word for it but Im writing this to warn others. Do. Not. Use. This. Hertz.

We were in Waco for my daughter s wedding. Made the reservation through AAA card to Hertz. Called the morning we were to pick up to say we were on our way and was informed that they didnt have a car for us and for 6 other people. Even though I had confirmation. Another couple joining us arrived at Waco airport a little late because of weather out of Dallas/ Fort Worth. They tried calling someone from signage that said they would come in just call. No answer. No car. Two other couples also had a problem with them... thank you hertz for making a stressful time even more so.

This inside Chevy automotive service center. They dont really answer the phone calls are very Im appreciative for business at this Hertz location. Very confusing and GPS and other location out of wack. Be nice if their was a sign or more info on reservation talking about how to find them and where they are located on everything, like the back of automation service center.

Pleased with the customer service from this location.Rented a car to go out of state for our daughters softball tournament. At first they were going to downgrade us from a full sized vehicle to a small Kia Soul. Frustrated, I called my husband (he was picking up the car), and had him let me speak with the salesperson. My husband returned home with an upgrade to a small SUV.Sometimes you have to be polite but persistent in your request. We will be renting from them in the near future as she has other out of state tournaments.

Worst customer service ever, the manager TANISHA HALL was so rude! I’ve rented lots of times at hertz and we always get a military discount when we show our ID. She didn’t want to give it to us because apparently she didn’t know the code but yet she’s a branch manager? we had already been given a set price and we were forced to pay more because of this issue.. when we asked why the price went up, she said we were the ones who had to give her the discount code.. but we’ve gotten the discount at this hertz and many other locations before! She was beyond rude when giving us the car and made us wait for an hour!!

Tanisha was extremely helpful and went out of her way to assist me, especially with questions after we had a flying pebble crack the window of the car during our trip. The four rating is only because when I called the toll-free Hertz number to inquire about adding a second driver, the rep didnt explain that the additional driver would need to have a debit or credit card to be added. We had to make a trip to another location (the airport!) later that evening to add the driver.

This place is terrible as hell!!my reservation was 8:30am and I called them for pick up service at 7:50am then they told me there is no car available till 11:30am. I had to drive down to San Antonio for my meeting by noon. they told me they were going to call me a night before BUT they didnt!!! and they didnt even help me finding other place who has a car available!!!there is enterprise and they were excellent!! they gave me a car immediately with great service!!!this place made me so upset from early in the morning!!!TERRIBLE!!!!

Should be zero stars! Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever received. My insurance company State Farm was covering the rental since my vehicle was being repaired. When I went to turn in the rental I was told I owed $317 for THEIR optional insurance coverage. I said I did not need their insurance as mine covered any vehicle I drove including the rental and I never signed for their optional insurance coverage. And there was no damage to the rental. After I left THEY CHARGED THE $317 TO MY AMERICAN EXPRESS on file without my approval!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!! Two girl office. Both very, very unethical!!!!

I wanted a mid size car but all they had was economy cars. The price was too high the car was not a good highway car. However the customer service was great I even got a ride home once I dropped the vehicle off.

If you can avoid renting from this place, do so. First they were late getting my car ready by over an hour that I had reserved over a week in advanced. Then after for an hour they said well it’ll be another hour or so before it got there. So ended up renting another one that I really didn’t want to go up for in price but also didn’t want to wait all day. Then after five months of dealing with these people for months on end they have continued to bill and mess up my whole account, even after I had given them proof that I didn’t owe them a cent like they were claiming. Not to mention they also put my name on a whole other account that thankfully my credit card company caught. Avoid Hertz at all cost!

First of all the mileage was 40 miles over what they said had on it, the gas was over what it had in it, I was told I would receive my deposit back immediately upon return of the vehicle, 4 days later it is still not returned. The only decent thing they did was drop the vehicle off at the repair shop and pick it up there. If the payment is guaranteed by the insurance c company there should be no need to take a deposit from the customer let alone lie about when it will be returned. You take it immediately you should return it immediately. Aside from all this they have the nerve to charge a TTL fee per day. Uhh it’s a rental I’m not helping you buy it. I don’t know how some people sleep at night. Just wow!!!

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT rent form this Hertz location nor the airport location. My experience with them is a rather lengthy & extremely frustrating one. Hertz customer service both at the corporate and local level is absolutely horrible. Unless you want to pay $300+ for their clerical errors, only to never receive an edited receipt in the mail, do not rent from Hertz. Should have learned my lesson the first time around with these clowns.
