Eric and the crew are the best. Midas has fixed my cars since 2000 and not once in 21 years have I had to take my car back for the same repair. Its done right the first time.

These guys continue to do a great job for me each time I go in. Ill give them 5 stars for quality of work, good discounts that are usually always available online, and for going the extra mile. I have an aluminum oil pan with a stripped plug. Im too cheap still to replace the pan, and these guys do a great job using my oversize piggy back plug that I had installed to keep me rolling.

I taught took my 2006 Town Car to Midas and they add freon to my car and replaced the part that was causing the leak of the freon. Im real pleased with their service and the price I paid was acceptable. Thank you Midas employees.

I am going to leave it a 4 because I have been going to Midas since I moved here in 2018. I love that they a kind,quick, and do quality work. The prices though. We arent all millionaires and it is a big college town. College kids cant afford that price either. I need to find out whats wrong with my car but when I called they want 102 dollars just to tell me what is wrong? 102? Why not like 30? I dont understand why is costs 102 just for you to tell me whats wrong. Other than that...great peeps and great place.

I cannot share enough praises about my experience today. I was in Waco for a funeral and my tire was wobbling enough to give me concern about getting home on the highway. I called and Midas was able to get me in the door immediately. The mechanics were prompt and took care of the issue for me in minutes. If I ever have car needs in Waco again, I will definitely be back and would highly suggest to anyone needing repair.

Got there to get a vehicle inspection done. They give you every details of faults and also estimate to get them repaired.

The staff is always very pleasant and friendly here, and they do a great job. They patiently explain the work being done and suggestions for future work, never pressuring to get extra or unnecessary work. Also, they send a post-service message to check that we were happy with the service and how the vehicle is running. They are our go-to place for car service!

My husband and I have been going to Midas for about 14 years now and love the work theyve done on our vehicles. We love the fact that if a problem comes up with the job that was just done and you bring the car back to them they honor the warranty and there is never a problem. Above all else they are honest.

WARNING!!!! Take this post as you please but this was my experience on Saturday January 31,2021, they told me I had a bad battery reading at 100 and something out of 800, tried to sale me a battery for 206, it was early morning so I drove to auto zone they checked it and said it was good, so I drove back to Midas and had them check it in front of me and they said it was good because I had drove my car, okay I drove to wal mart and they checked it it was good ! So the wal mart worker said okay check it first thing in the morning tomorrow and see if it’s a bad battery like they did, I Checked my battery this morning I live right down the street from auto zone not even 3 minutes away mind you I live at least 20 minutes from Midas, autozone said yes you have a good battery it even looks new because I haven’t even had this battery two years, I’m so glad I checked with others my battery even this morning was at 12 volts and with my own eyes the tester said GOOD, you guys be careful I will never go to Midas again and I will make sure to blast them on all my social media about my battery situation, sorry for the long post but I wanted to explain the whole situation, good luck you guys and all those good reviews psh my experience was the opposite would have gotten 206 smooth from my account with an unneeded battery !

Friendly and fast..always have hot coffee and a welcoming..love this place!

I took my wifes car in because the temperature gauge was approaching hot. The staff was courteous and professional, asking many questions to determine the cause. They figured out the thermostat was sticking and replaced it. The entire process took three hours on a busy Saturday but it didnt seem near as long because of the kind, family-like atmosphere expressed by the people. I will take all my automotive needs to Midas from now on. They truly have the golden touch.

We have been taking our 2004 Dodge Ram to Eric and his team for three years and there is no one else we trust to work on it. They will tell you what needs to be fixed now for safety and what can wait, even if it means a big sale for them. On my last visit, they stayed past closing to make sure that the job was done correctly (for myself and another customer) and even offered a ride home for a third customer whose car was not safe to drive. I love these guys and would recommend them to my family.

One of my daughters took her car here. It took a week to get the work done. That wasnt the problem. However they leave windows rolled down so they dont accidentally lock them selves out. Because of this her car and everything she had in it was gone thru. There were dirty handprints on everything and her front windshield which had had a small ding was cracked from hood to roof.

I went to get my struts replaced and AC checked. I was thinking it going to be a lot of money. I got a call from Eric and he said the struts did not need to be replaced and the AC just needed freon. That was music to my ears. Im a customer for life.

Adam and Chris Chumley are doing an amazing job with their Midas shop in Waco. They do a thorough inspection prior to letting you know what repairs are needed then point out what repairs are absolutely necessary. They get it all done in a timely fashion and repaired correctly. Last Friday while traveling I encountered debris on I-35 causing me to lose my ability to brake or stop and needed to have my vehicle repaired immediately. Being 200 miles away from home, I was intimidated to have my vehicle repaired in a city that I wasnt familiar with. Fortunately Midas is a recognized brand name and I was fortunate to have Tre doing my repair work. Tre showed me what was broken and explained in detailed what needed to be done. I was exceptionally pleased with his customer service skills, passion for his work and craftsmanship. My check engine light came on and Adam ran a diagnostic test and found the root cause is a much needed oil change with a possibility of needing to replace some parts. But instead of trying to push product, he wanted to stick with an oil change first. Eric went out of his way to get in touch with me to educate the common issues/recalls with my vehicle. Woman at the front desk was very friendly and showed great customer service. I have neglected my oil change for a while, didn’t even have a sticker to know when my last change was, and I felt like she was very helpful in giving me advice on what I needed to do. Unfortunately, good customer service is rare these days so I wanted to be sure this place got the praise it deserved. Very happy with the service here and I will definitely come back for my next oil change.

As a woman, it’s really common for repair shops to assume I’m ignorant about cars (which I mostly am) and try to take advantage by overcharging or recommending repairs I don’t need. I’ve had plenty of shops in Waco try to BS me and I’m very grateful to have found Midas because the staff are absolutely honest and trustworthy. Prices are reasonable, staff are friendly and courteous and they get repairs and maintenance done in a reasonable amount of time.

Go here if you know what’s wrong with your car but want to pay 100 for them to tell you what you already know

Wow these guys are awesome! We thought my wifes mini van was leaking coolant and I took it there today to get it checked out. They pressure tested the radiator and could not find a leak. I was persistent that something was wrong with it, and since my wife and kids use this vehicle I wanted to be sure. They went back out and checked the heater core, and that was fine too. Seeing that I was still concerned, Rich the owner had them pressure test the radiator cap, which tested also good. They spent at least an hour diagnosing my car, and found nothing wrong. I went to pay for their service and the response was no charge who does that now days, especially after I kept on requesting more tests....well the Midas in Waco does! I have gone there for all our oil changes and observed this behavior from them before. I always felt that they treated their customer with honesty and good service, thats why I took the vehicle that carries my most precious cargo to them when it needed more than an oil change. They already had my business but they earned my respect and gratitude. Thanks again!

So first of all Ive never tried Midas, but I definitely will in the future. The front desk lady was very helpful and caring about getting my car in the shop. She also saved me $5 dollars on the toll bill. They started working on my car quickly and had it ready to go with a smile on their faces. This shop has a great professional staff, and clean, stress free atmosphere, that makes you feel like your in the right place for car service. What really amazed me was they gave me the damaged part back and showed and explained to me what happened. This gave me a good feeling, that they are honest and prove to you what happened. The owner even texted me to follow up on the repair. This shop has great, honest, and professional staff, you can trust in. Highly recommended!!!

I have been using Midas for three years and with 3 different cars and they are hands down awesome! I’ve lived in a lot of states and finding honest mechanics is hard but they make it look easy. It’s almost a secret I don’t want to share since that means they will get busier. When we first moved to Texas we tried Christian Brothers and they really over charged for everything and broke our dip stick and charged us $30 for a new one. Midas has been so good, that when a problem arose with my old Mazda 3, they fixed it with a simple air intake clean up. Christian Brothers claimed it was $1200, and Midas fixed for $100.

Im new to the Waco area, so when I needed an oil change I asked around at work. Everyone recommended Midas because they were honest and quick. Honest is what got me, but quick and easy will get me to return. I looked up the number online and saw there was a way to make my appointment online so I did that. Within an hour, my appointment was confirmed. I came in the next morning at my time and was out in a little over an hour. Cant complain! The waiting area is far more spacious than other places Ive been to get my oil changed, which was great because it was pretty cold that morning. They had a tv on and some coffee and water in the waiting area. Also, I overheard a conversation with another man there and his repairs were going to take a few more hours. They offered to drop him off at home and to pick him up when it was done! Thats some service. Anyway, glad we came here. 10/10 recommend.

Fairly quick but overpriced

Recently I had to take my wifes car in for what I thought for brake repair on the front, but sadly is was a front bearing. The people that helped me were courteous and straight forward on what was wrong with the car. They did not try to rack up other things to try and fix . I left there with my wallet in tact and the car repaired. I would recommend this place to others for repairs.

Showed up Saturday, asked if they could squeeze in an oil change that day. They said yes, I didnt wait but 15 min, they pulled in my car and got back on the road within an hour.

We love everyone at this shop. They always help us and work is in even when it is last minute. Prices are reasonable and work time is efficient.

Have taken two different vehicles to this location in the past 6 weeks, and both experiences have been great. They diagnose the issues quickly and efficiently, and they provide fair and reasonable up front pricing on repairs. No surprises here. When there was a small surprise with my vehicle that was not related to the repair, they went above and beyond to ensure that I walked away more than satisfied with their shop. Good folks!

Ive been taking both my cars here for years and one of them is a VW that some places wont work on. I believe that theyve always been fair and upfront in their dealings, and I cant ask for more than that. Its a tough thing to find a mechanic that you trust, but I believe I have. Ill continue to recommend them to friends and colleagues looking for a good mechanic.

They are helpful at suggestions when you may not realize what may need to be checked on with your transportation. They also offer those suggestions without trying to push their services on you even if the work is something they cannot do.

Went in to get my brakes redone. Upon leaving, i developed a vibration in the front end which ended up being from the passenger side front tire not being tightened. 2 of the lugs were able to be removed by hand. Now i also have a clunking sound when i first engage the brakes either going forward or reverse. No clue what they did to my truck.

Scheduling online before arriving made all the difference. Had 2 autos oil changes and tire rotations done quickly. Would not think of taking our families autos anywhere else.

Midas honors their warranty. In 1983, I bought four new shock absorbers for my 1979 Ford Granada from Midas. Yesterday, as I drove into church, my front shock absorber broke. This morning, I took my Granada to Midas for them to analize. They agreed that my shock absorber was broken. They recommended that all four shock absorbers be replaced. I asked them how much would that cost. No charge, but they would have to order the parts which would be in later today. I was excited and said yes. They even drove me home and came back to pick me up at the end of the day. By the end of the day, a complication occurred. During the dissassembly process, it was discovered that the large coil surrounding the front shock was broken. It was recommended that both front coils be replaced and an estimate was given to me in excess of $700. At this moment in my life, that estimate was too much for me. Luckily, I have friends and family with mechanical experience. With their help and YouTube, I can fix this myself. Midas understood my predicament and gave me the two front shocks and advice on safety and the repair. Wasnt their fault that the coil broke and that I couldnt pay for it. They were gracious, understanding, and helpful. Top notch people.

Ive always been extremely happy with this Midas. Ive taken my car there for a couple of years now for oil changes, check ups, and other relatively minor things, and I couldnt be happier. Theyre friendly, helpful, and above all honest -- theyve never tried to sell me anything I dont need. I highly recommend them.

I have been taking my vehicles to Midas for years. They are fair, friendly and professional. The owner will even offer to give me a ride to and from work while they do maintenance on my truck.Last year, they did an expensive repair on my A/C. A few months later, I began hearing a strange noise that I assumed was related to their work. I brought the truck back and they ran all of their diagnostics. It turns out the issue was completely unrelated.I was not thrilled about having to shell out the money to have my dashboard opened up again, but the guys at Midas (and Christina!) really went the extra mile for me. They spent a day fixing the problem and didnt even charge me.Too bad there arent more garages out there like these guys!
