Freddys replaced the windshield on my 2008 Ford Expedition. Telephone service and estimate was excellent...spot on. Replacement was excellent, only took 3 hours. Price was exactly as quoted. A most professional operation. I highly recommend Freddys for windshield replacement or repair.

Freddys repaired my sunroof on my car at a very reasonable price and it works just like new. The folks there are nice and friendly, so I can understand why they stay busy. They also do home interior like shower stalls and windows. If we decide to replace our shower enclosure, Ill be giving Freddys a call. They have a portfolio in their office with their work in it and it all looks very nice and well done. I would highly recommend this business for all your glass needs.

Update: The window tint had to be the redone since their were various bubbles caused by dirt and lint, will have to wait another week to see if its better.The windshield also had to be re adjusted since there was a slight noise in high winds. all of this was taken care of promptly without question.Original:Easy and fast experience when replacing the windshield on my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. Went through my insurance, so no payment made from my part.There is no abnormal wind noise or issues after getting back my vehicle. My eyesight system is on and working normally. Will be driving it as they recommended for the next 48 hours and will report back if I have any issues.Tint job looks as nice and clean as it can be done with minimal bubbles and scratches, will have to wait about a week for a final result. Nice touch with the stickers on the buttons.They do offer you a ride to and from home if you live in Waco, very nice. They do appear to stay busy, so please plan to come in with time and patience.

So far they have done a great job with my vehicle! Here are the few set backs, staff was kinda rude most of the time! Except for this really sweet glasses wearing women at the front! The advertisement always have a friendly, inviting feel! But in store i felt like just another transaction to them!

Windshield was installed quickly and professionally. A tech was able to provide a ride to and from my home which helped as well.I had some trouble with the payment portion of my experience though as a 3.5% credit card charge was added without any prior notification that this was going to happen. It wasnt on my invoice, and I wasnt told this would be added when I paid. It was only after running my card did I see the charge. Ive seen this added at mom-and-pop places that have small charges, but didnt expect to see this at an auto repair shop.Just something to keep in mind if you are using a credit card at this establishment. Would have been nice to know this was going to be charged to my card ahead of time!

Poor quality and customer service. June 2020 I purchased a piece of 1/4 in thick beveled glass to go on top of a chest to protect from scratching/staining etc. I am a permanent makeup artist and use this chest to store supplies etc. The day I picked up the class a gentleman from Freddys offered to help me load it in my car because it was too heavy for me. As he was loading it I noticed a small chip on the edge of the beveled edge, and asked him if he thought I was going to have any issues with the chip cutting my arm if I happened to slide my arm across the edge-he stated he did not think it would be a problem because it was so small so I decided I could just flip that side to the back against the wall. Approximately three weeks later I set a drink down on the piece of glass and it shattered from the edge towards the middle. called Freddys about a week later and spoke to a lady named Michelle who advised me she would have a new piece cut for me and contact me in a few days to pick it up. And she weeks went by without a phone call so I called back and got another young lady who didn’t know anything about the situation-the following day I called back again and left a message for Michelle -she called me back a few days later stating she would have to talk to the owner and get back to me. Over a month went by, today I called and spoke with Michelle about ordering several more pieces of glass/mirror – and while speaking to her mentioned I never heard back about the broken piece of glass and if they were going to replace it. Michelle advised me that no one there remembered seeing the chip on the piece of glass so they would not be able to replace it.Seems to me that if you spend almost $100 on a piece of glass that is doing nothing more than providing protection for a table top it should last longer than three weeks. Nothing was dropped on it, it’s a very clean environment, and the only thing sitting on the glass was client paperwork and small bottles of pigment. If sitting a cup on top of the glass Is enough force to crack it then maybe the glass Freddy’s used wasn’t sufficient for the intended use (intended use was explained to the lady who took my order). I have used Freddy’s for years for many different things-but this will be the last time. I will go elsewhere to order the other pieces of glass and mirror since they don’t stand by their products.

The latest hail storm did the damage to my winshield. I called a national dealer first for a quote. They come to you. Then my family said to call Freddys. I called on Monday and spoke to Rodney. Was given a quote and i told him i would be there Wed (payday). I called Wednesday at 715 am to leave a message saying i was coming, Rodney answered the phone! He had taken notes during our call Monday, ordered the glass i would need on Tuesday and it was there waiting on me. If there were more than 5 stars these guys deserve them. Professionally installed, got wipers changed too, left it there overnight to dry. If you need auto glass or residential and want 1st class service, call them, you will get it here.

This was my first time visiting Freddys Glass. I had a huge crack in my windshield that had been growing for the last few months. Yes, I procrastinated on this. I called and was able to get a quote over the phone. They did not have my cars specific windshield but told me they could order it and have it by the next morning. I set up an appointment for 8 am the next day. Sure enough my part came in on time! The employees at the front desk when I brought my car in were great and even offered me a ride to work. I let them know that I had a ride coming but would love if someone would be able to pick me up. They said that would work just let them know when they called to let me know it was ready to be picked up. My car was done in the estimated time and Rodney came to pick me up. The cost was equal to what had been estimated to me over the phone. My windshield looks great and I am so happy I took the time to get this taken care of! I feel safer already in my car! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! I was nervous that their quote was so low compared to Safelite ($370 compared to $1100), but I couldnt be happier. I just got my car and was super nervous about them recalibrating the camera things (EyeSight in a Subaru), but seriously after two weeks, its incredible. I have no issues with the glass and the attendants were super kind. They were punctual, ordered my windshield within a day and had my car out in three hours. Nothing but good things to say!!!

Essentially calling your customer a liar repeatedly because you got their order wrong isnt a good way to do business.I understand if youre not happy that you misheard and got the order wrong, but constantly griping at your customer the entire time youre fixing the order (both at the front desk, and I could hear you back there running your mouth) because of it will help ensure that customer doesnt come back.

Had to have a crack in my fords windshield fixed. The people are fast, friendly and reasonable.

Took the rust bucket up there to get my mirror fix an it took about 15 mins in an out great job

I busted out the passenger side window in my Nissan Rogue. I called Freddys to see if they could fix it and sure enough they had the window in stock I needed and said they could put it in that day I called. They fixed it good as new and for a very good price. I called the insurance and it was going to cost us 4X more than what Freddys charged. I will definitely use them again if I ever need to!

Got my Company truck tinted here. The receptionist, I believe her name was Shelli, was extremely rude and unprofessional. There was an employee inside the office while I was in there. Once he found out I was here for my appointment to get tint he started complaining about having to work as he walked to the back. They did a terrible job tinting the truck. There is large gaps on my back windows and gaps on my front windows. Bad service, lazy employees that gripe in front of a customer and a receptionist that is rude. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

Best service possible. I popped in carrying a shattered window from my garage. 15 minutes later, I left with the new window, all perfectly fitted to the frame, and a very reasonable bill. I will definitely go back for any other glass-related projects I have.

Very nice people work there, they did a good job replacing my windshield, even transferred my toll tag and parking stickers onto the new windshield. And it was $100 less than the quote I got from safelite, so added bonus there.

These guys are wonderful I had a windshield replaced and a tinted eyebrow done. I asked them to do it the way I wanted instead of the way the other shops have repeatedly told me they would do and never do. I asked and these guys to do it my way and they delivered. not a problem used them for years and will never make the mistake of using another shop just because they are $10 cheaper. I stopped in shortly before closing. I knew they couldnt do it that day, but I wanted to see what they had to say. Within minutes, they diagnosed the problem. They didnt have the part and it was past the next day order time. Without a word, a man (maybe the boss) just picked up the phone and he had the part delivered the very next day. I camped out in the waiting room. I fully expected it to take until about noon, but before I expected the part to arrive I was out the door. Excellent customer service. Excellent work.

Worse place I called. Was told take pictures of window and send to them and was told to hang tight he was driving. No problem with that except that was back on Thursday June 20th, today is June 26th AND i still have not heard from anybody. Luckily I found another place.Would not recommend them to anybody.

I wish there was an option to give ZERO stars. Literally the WORST customer service (specifically with Russell Duron I’ve ever experienced in Waco. Last year, I made an appointment with them and they never showed up. Fast forward to a month ago, I called again MULTIPLE times to no avail. Finally they called me back and we made an appointment. Russell never confirmed the appointment so I called the day before to make sure they were still coming. He acted like he had NO idea what was going on and then after talking for a couple of minutes, he remembered. He confirmed appointment for the next day and he showed up LATE & NOT WITH THE MATERIALS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE JOB WE JUST DISCUSSED. Not only that, he acted like he just had so much going on that it was too much to remember what we had confirmed. In regards to the supplies he remembered to bring, the windows had scratches and will have to be re-installed. Literally the worst headache to work with Freddy’s Glass in Waco. After this job, we will NEVER use them again and won’t recommend them to anyone.

Called them to get an estimate for a window that was foggy. They arrived at the time scheduled. Followed up later that day with a reasonable quote and installed the glass properly after it arrived. The people that came out for the work were clean and professional. Will definetly use Freddy’s the next time I need any work done. I Highly recommend them based on my experience

I go to Freddys for all of my glass and mirror needs. Im a DIYer, and Im remodeling my old house by myself, one room at a time, so I never have large glass or mirror orders. But even though Im not a high volume purchaser like a contractor would be, they are always super helpful and get the job done very quickly, no matter how small. If I call/visit in the morning, I very often get same day service. Any time I need glass or mirror, Freddys is the first and only place I call.

I have used Freddys Glass for my residential needs and always pleased with their service. When I needed commercial repairs, naturally I called them again. On 1/2/15 the Friday after New Years Day at 4:45PM our front door closer malfunctioned at our retail business. Knowing that Saturday would be a heavy traffic day, I needed the door repaired quickly. Russell Duron answered the call, visited our dealership, and made the repair assessment. The front door was repaired the following Saturday morning. Was entering highway 84 and a Freddys Glass truck was already going down the highway. The truck did NOT slow down, get in the left lane, nothing.. Would not let me enter until I ran out of ramp and had to slow down on the shoulder. As I proceeded and passed him in the left lane, the technician driving the truck flipped me the bird the entire time I was passing.....If I could give 0 stars I would...I will never use them, and I will tell my friends and family of my experience with them...If thats the kind of people that work there, I will never use them. Terrible service, very disrespectful, and they do not stand behind what they sell. For 1 they lost my keys for 2 hours due to misplacement, when they installed my eyebrow and back glass they completely missed parts of the glass and it was exposed in multiple places, went back for a refund and the man was very disrespectful, would not give me a refund saying that I did not pay for the eyebrow when it was included in the bundle, then he proceeded to foul mouth at me as I was leaving...would highly recommend taking my business elsewhere.Response to the owners response: Im sorry but foul language was used by Ronnie, he called me a smartass and threatened to fix my attitude that I clearly had because of his service, and if I did not pay for the eyebrow, why would you put one on? Something doesnt add up hereThe reason I did not pay for strip was because I did not have anything to be stripped, I did not have any tint what so ever, so I think I paid for the eyebrow but like that other guy on the reviews said, yall just want that all mighty dollar, I will consider this case closed now and call it done and final, have a great day.

The service was horrible. I called to get a price on some plexi glass, and Russell was of no help at all, and was trying to over charge me for what I needed. Apparently Russell has no math skills, and is unaware of how to use a calculator. The service absolutely horrible, and I took my business else where.

Several years ago Freddy came into my store to purchase some shoes. It was good timing because we locked ourselves out of our new house the night before and needed to get estimates on fixing it the glass panel we broke in order to unlock it . That day wed been calling around and found out that specific panel was very expensive. We were even told to just replace the door.Being a newlywed and having a newborn its needless to say money was tight. So we gave him our address and told him when wed be home to talk about the options.We came home that evening and we were surprised to find the window was replaced and a note saying consider thid our gift to you for yout new house.Ever since then I recommend Freddys to everyone I know and they always say they got great service. If I ever need and window work or any other thing that Freddys can do I wont go anywhere elseFreddy and Rodney are what makes family owned businesses great. They care about their employees and customers like family.

Took my wifes truck in today because the sun roof would not operate properly. Was told that in order to fix it the headliner would have to be removed and the track assembly would need to be replaced. Got a call two hours and twenty minutes later telling me it was ready. Went to pick it up and was handed a bill for $575 dollars. Thats is $246.43 dollars per hour since no new parts were installed. I know Ill never get my money back but what a thief. Do not use this company!

This may be a good place to go if you plan on spending a lot of money on a custom shower or something of that nature OR if you have a huge insurance check on some auto repair work.But if you have some home repair work or just a little touch up on a home restoration, do not bother. The guy up front sent us to the guy in the back. Then the guy in the back, who claimed to be one of the owners, was snippy to us about being back there (we just went where we were told!). Prices for run-of-the-mill residential repair job glass was easily beat at the next place we went.The general feeling was these guys do their business in bulk with contractors and with large expensive jobs for commercial/residential and like to cash insurance checks for the auto.Do not *bother* them with your home renovation or smaller job needs. Its not worth their effort.
