Today my boyfriend and I went into Honda looking for a second car since we only have one and needed a second one for our long commutes to work. We spoke to one sales person who was trying to help us but sadly it was not what we were looking for. As we are getting in our car to leave Jay Garcia came out of the building and said he would take care of us. Long story short we left with an awesome car that met all our wants and needs thanks to Jay.
I have nothing but good things to say about Norm Reeves Honda Vista.I wont get into what the issue was, because the outcome is much more important to me.Human error, dropping the ball or oversights are a part of every company, no matter how hard we work to prevent it. What matters most to me is how staff and leadership handle theses things once made aware of. Norm Reeves Honda Vista management took immediate action by apologizing and working with me on a solution to help me walk away a satisfied customer. Every person that was part of the original communication apologized to me, even if not directly responsible for creating the issue. That shows integrity and humility. Usually as customers we have a hard time getting anyone to talk to us after a purchase. Ive had to email and call in several times and each time received a response. I really like my new ride and the trade in process was fair. This was a much better experience than the last dealership I bought from. I was actually listened to about my needs and wishes regarding a car purchase, and they were considered in the offer.

Deceptive sales. Knowing that we dont understand English very well, we told the sales staff clearly in the way of purchase from the beginning. He tricked us into signing the contract by means of tenancy. After returning home, the family found that we were renting and not buying. After that, we went to him and he changed the contract for us, but I also bought crv at a very high price, which had a very poor shopping experience. We were forced to buy a lot of things. I finally bought 2021crv-ex at 37400. I think its not worth it. personal experience. Very disappointed
What kind of sales tactic is this?We went in the store last weekend to check out a Honda CRV. The salesperson said they were selling at MSRP, without a markup like other dealers. We shopped around and found some places did markup the price beyond MSRP, and some didnt. We liked the openness and straightforwardness of the salesperson, so we went in this weekend again. He said the same thing about selling at MSRP, and they happened to have a color that we liked.After test driving the brand new vehicle, we sat down to discuss details. However, the salesperson refused to confirm the price. I asked upfront whether they would stick with the MSRP, he dodged the question and went on to collect personal information. When he asked for our social security number, I insisted on knowing the price first. He went to talk with the manager and came back with good news with the different APRs and still mentioned nothing about the price. On the same paper with APR, I saw that they marked up the price by over $4,000 - the highest markup among all dealers.We walked away. But what kind of sales tactic is this? Why would you lie about the price - the ultimate determining factor in making a sale? Why do you think you can hide the price until the last minute? Who would buy a car with a $4,000 markup above expectation right before they were ready to enter a deal at MSRP? What have you gained in the process other than wasting your own time and adding miles to your brand new vehicle? All seems strangely stupid...
Recently went in to purchase automatic transmission fluid for a 2015 Honda Fit, everything went smooth until I double checked online the part number cause I have a tendency to always verify parts on my vehicle. The person at the desk sold me automatic transmission fluid for a regular transmission and not a CVT transmission.Had I not double checked I easily could have damaged my transmission in the process and I’m confident the dealer would have NOT replaced my transmission for me.It might seem like something minor but this easily could have costed me thousands.
A year ago I gave the service department a five star rating but my latest service was not up to that level. I had an appointment Wednesday to get an oil change and brake fluid exchange. I allotted 1 1/2 hours for the job but was told they were too busy to be done in that time frame so I rescheduled for Saturday. Arrived Saturday and was told they were very busy and it would be 2 hours. Apparently making an appointment is of little value.2 hours later my car was done, the estimate price was similar to the final with only sales tax as the difference.As I looked over the statement I noticed .8 hrs of labor billed at $170 per hour for a total of $136.34Two hour wait for a 48 minute job with an appointment. Not the same prompt service I received a year ago.With that high labor rate and wait time, not sure I will be back.
My wife and I went to sell her car before we moved to Texas. We were told we would receive a paycheck for the difference of what they quoted us and what we owed on the Chevy Cruz within 4 weeks. Its now going on week 6-7 and we have still yet received a check. We called countless times to either be put on hold, leave a voicemail, and often never returned our call. Once we got a text saying they didnt have a tracking number for our overnight letter. Finally when we got a hold of somebody, on two separate occasions we were told by two separate individuals that our check would be overnighted. When we did see the check a week later, we responded via email. We were told they do not over night paychecks and that it should be in the mail. If they had to cancel and reissue the check it would only add time to our already lengthy waiting period. I am new at selling vehicles, but we were told a certain timeline and have gone passed that. They said that they were waiting to be the lien holders, now that is done, we still have no funds and now no vehicle.Overall very poor experience and do not recommend selling your vehicle to this dealership. I would recommend going to CarMax or someone who specializes in purchasing vehicles. The team there does not communicate well with each other and the customer and makes you feel like its your fault when we are simply asking questions about our situation.
We bought the car in a hurry because we needed to change a new car and we didnt have that much time. The service attitude was very bad. The salesperson and his manager were very impatient when the purchase went wrong. When I discussed the price with my family, I served us and other people at the same time. When we asked the salesperson if there was any discount, he said that he needed to ask his manager. When he came back, he didnt mention it again. And he added other payments that we have to buy 2021 CRV was purchased at an unreasonable price. If I could, I would not choose this shop. The whole purchase experience is very poor. If I can, Im not willing to give it a star.
Bought a new Accord there today. One of the best buying experience I have had buying a car. No hassle on the price agreed on prior to going in there. Kassandra was great. Finance guy was great easy deal. Had to revise review. Car was delivered with less the 3/4 of a tank of gas. Should had a full tank! I contacted dealer via email twice about it. No reply back So I felt I should revise review from 5 stars to 4 stars.
If you’re looking for a quality sales team go see Bob here. He is so friendly and got us all squared away. We will hands down recommend him and Justin in finance. Outstanding people who actually care for their customers and that’s hard to find these days. Love my new car.
Great inventory, uninformed salesmen who cant speak intelligently about their cars. Neither salesperson I spoke with today could talk to me about the differences between the insight and accord. I was just sent outside to look at the cars and read the signs. Wont be buying a car here.
Our experience at this Honda dealer ship would be rated zero stars if it was possible. The customer service at this establishment is chaotic. We came in three times and called about 5, but had no answer from anybody. The times we came in, we were turned away as soon as possible because “every sales representative was busy”, even though other customers came in and were greeted and helped immediately. When a sales representative was going to come over to help us, other representatives came up to whoever was going to help in order to let them know not to help us.It is clear that this Honda dealership does not care about representing Honda as an amazing company. The employees only care about commission and their personal selves, but not the customer or their job.
Do not sell or trade in your car here. They can not even take care of basic paperwork. I continue to receive dmv notices for a car they allegedly processed the dmv forms for 90 days ago. Go to CARMAX.
Having been doing some car shopping lately, I have to say that this is one of my favorite dealerships! The sales people here are very well informed, super helpful, and engaged. They made me feel good about the experience and sad that I couldnt find the model I was looking for to buy. One of the best car dealership experiences Ive had lately by a good margin! Smooth and hassle free purchase on our 2020 civic. Definitely ask for Robert Macom as he will do his best to make sure you walk out of there satisfied. Overall a solid experience from this dealership.
I bought a certified used Honda Odyssey from them in Sept 2020 with a one year warranty. Five months later in Jan. 2021 I found that the front brakes were overheating during normal driving. I took the van into Pacific Honda since they are closer to my home and was advised that it had aftermarket brake pads which are prone to overheating on the Odyssey. I talked to the service manager at Norm Reeves and he said the brake pads may not have been suitable for the car, but under the certified used car warranty they were contractually acceptable and that Norm Reeves Honda Superstore was not going to pay for any part of the repair. Pacific Honda said they would at least discount the repair. So I would steer clear of a certified Honda from Norm Reeves Superstore.
Excellent service from norm reeves. Steve the sales manager went above and beyond what i expected from a dealership. He ensured many things were fixed on the used truck we purchased there that most places would tell you as is. Ive dealt with many dealerships over the years and this one is by far the best experience yet.
My wife and I are both seniors who are self-isolating, and we wanted to replace our 2018 Subaru Outback with a new Honda Passport. We asked 4 nearby dealers to contact us.Dealer #1 ignored me. Dealer #2 told me I am from another planet. Dealer #3 was all about what they wanted to sell me.Norm Reeves Honda Superstore of Vista shot the lights out. Gerrie Wilkes, Vance Willer and all the staff were A+ in every way. They responded promptly, listened carefully, gave us solid advice, never pressured, and did everything they said they would. And we never had to leave our home. Easily our best car-buying experience ever. Definitely 5 stars.

If you’re looking to get your vehicle serviced please look for another place unless you have hours to waste in their waiting room! we brought our car in this afternoon (1pm) to get our tire (1 TIRE) patched due to running over a nail! it is now 4pm and we’re still waiting on them to fix our tire. no updates, nothing. just left us sitting in the waiting room. i’d say this was the worst/most unprofessional experience i’ve had a honda servicing center. will most definitely be going elsewhere next time! wanted to warn others.
Purchased a certified pre-owned Odyssey here in September 2020. Sales process was fine, though I don’t think they provided me all the paperwork for my warranty and benefits of the car being certified.My biggest complaint is with the service department, they could be much better. In January 2021, took my car in as one of the struts had failed and needed to be replaced, thankfully under warranty. In past experiences at other dealerships, no matter what I bring the car in for, they usually do a multipoint inspection to make sure everything else is good. That wasn’t even brought up so I had to specifically ask for that to be done. In addition, since my car was certified when I bought it, I get two free oil changes in the first year so I asked them to do that as well. The car took a day and a half to be fixed (they covered my ride home through Lyft and the warranty would’ve covered a rental but we declined). When I went to pick it up, there was no paperwork of the repair so I don’t have any record of the strut being replaced. Typically when struts are replaced an alignment should also be done, but I don’t think it was and I received zero explanation of the actual work performed. I also doubt that they did a multipoint inspection as requested because they didn’t change the oil as I had asked. Now I’ll have to go back in another month or two to get that done. Lastly, my car didn’t get washed. This is a minor thing and maybe they don’t do that here but again, at every other dealership I’ve had work done at they do a complimentary car wash. It’s a nice touch and makes it feel like they actually care about servicing my car.Overall, I felt that the communication throughout the time they had my car was poor, and the pickup experience was even worse when I received no explanation or information about the service performed. For being a service department, they don’t seem very service oriented. Had I not bought the car there, I likely wouldn’t take it back for service.
The service department was quick and efficient. The sales staff was so friendly while I waited for my vehicle to be done. Since I had never been to this store before, they were helpful and explained everything to me that needed to be addressed but also didn’t push things on me that could wait. I would highly recommend this store to anyone needing to get their Honda vehicle serviced.
I can’t believe that I am giving a car dealer 5 stars, but they truly deserve it. We purchased a 2020 Pilot. This was the most pleasant and painless experience ever. I am sure that our sales person, Nathan, had a lot to do with it. We also got an amazing deal. Overall, extremely satisfied. I would strongly recommend you ask for Nathan.
This was my visit to Norm Reeves Honda. I needed the oil changed in my CR V. I called and Hannah set my appointment up for the time that worked best for me. Hannah answers all of my question and was very kind. I arrived for my appointment and was greeted by Ryan, he was very helpful in looking up my cars service history. My car was ready for pick when he said it would be. Great experience!!!
Super friendly best customer service ever
Much prefer the Escondido center. When your car is done, they meet with you and give you a rundown of your car. At the Vista center, it felt more about paying for the service and leaving. At the Escondido center, they looked for you and walked you to the register. Feels more personable at the Escondido service center. Definitely wont go back the Vista center. I saw my car parked outside ready to be picked up for 20 minutes and no staff bothered to look for the owner, me, to let then know their car was done. It was not until I mentioned the car outside was mine and waited another 20 minutes to pay and leave. It should not take 40-45 minutes to pay for my car and drive off.

Such a great experience! I recently got into a car accident where my car was totaled so I had to get a new car, this Honda dealership was wonderful. Martin was great and helpful throughout my whole experience, he even helped me return my rental car. Finance was also great and I didn’t feel pressured to buy a car which is important to me. Just bought a new Passport Elite! They didnt have the trim/color I wanted but they quickly sourced it for me from one of their dealerships in L.A. AND matched the best quote I had from other dealers. They had it brought down for me for at no charge. Jose Rios was my sales rep and he was responsive even on his day off! I was pretty particular about what I wanted and how I dont like to come in and haggle. He made sure I got exactly what I wanted with no hassle. I just had to show up, sign docs, and take the car. No BS. No unexpected fees. No nightmarish haggle and a great price! Jose was great. Actually, EVERYONE I met at the dealership was great.Im a Honda guy so it is really nice having a new Honda dealership in North County that really seems to want me to be a long term customer! The other dealers I dealt with gave me the sense that they didnt take me seriously or could care less if they got my business. I made a cross country move from Ohio and needed an oil change. My dad is a mechanic, so I have never had my car serviced before on my own. Jaryd was welcoming and made me feel comfortable. He explained everything to me in a clear and concise manner. It was a quick, smooth, and easy process and I would highly recommend their service department.
Omar checked me in and out and he was awesome. He was very cautious and respectful about social distancing, which I appreciated. He was beyond polite and professional...top notch customer service. We usually go to a different service center, but will be returning to Norm Reeves in Vista for now on.

Made an appointment for 9 o’clock on a Saturday morning for a software update that was part of a recall and was told it would take no more than an hour. Was called the day before the appointment and told it was going to be between 3-4 hours. Went to drop my car off at 9 and was told that it should be ready around 3 (which is now 6 hours). Showed up right after 3 and luckily it was ready. Not sure why such a simple thing should take six hours. Also doesn’t seem like there is a point to making an appointment if it still takes six hours to do a minor system update. Definitely will be going to a different Honda location in the future.
Don’t go here for service. No loaner vehicles even if your car is there for a week. Had battery starting issues for two months, they refused to replace and claimed it’s “good” even though it is not.
Norm reeves Honda sent 3 coupons in the mail, which is how I heard about them. One of the coupons was for an oil change, which I needed. So I went in, all was good. Took me in no problem. Upon driving away, I was checking the oil life meter and they did not reset it. It’s the little things that matter. I had to come back, in traffic, waste my time and gas, for something that should have been taken care of no problem; The First Time. I can’t even trust a Honda dealership mechanic to do their job right. So disappointing. I’ve been having trouble finding a reliable mechanics for YEARS. I thought the dealership was going to be trustworthy. I was very wrong.

Omar I went to. Check the fluids under the. Hood after I got home then I thought I I should check. The oil level just in case and found the level on the. Dip stick was barrel showing and can’t bring back in because your. Closed. Sunday’s. So I’m going to c if I can come in Monday. Not. Good ok. Thanks. Took my car in to get multiple services today, oil change, transmission fluid, & filter changes. Called yesterday afternoon & Omar was able to get me in first thing this morning 7:30am. He greeted me outside upon my arrival, explained all the services with me and pricing. Pricing for filters seemed a little high initially, so he worked out an affordable price with me. I greatly appreciated his quality customer service. All services were done in roughly one hour, car wash inspected and washed complimentary.I will certainly ask for him to help me in the future. First off Bob Baker = run around!!!. Walked into Norm Reeves was greeted politely and treated with respect. No salesman run around. Told the sales guy my 3 hour run around with Bob Baker and he not only helped me but he matched the price I was asking and beat it by $100. Bob Baker gave us a three ring circus. Made us jump through hoops to get a price that was far higher. Then said. My manager said this is our price if they dont like it let them walk. So we did. An hour later Norm Reeves Reeves Honda had our car. Better price better service. All around great experience.
Everything went great! They had three specials and coincidentally they were what I was needing done. They let me use all specials even though it states they can not be combined, great customer service from the team. One thing, I thought it was a thing for them to wash and vacuum your car, I may be wrong.Over all experience was top notch.

Over 3 years ago we purchased our first new vehicle with Honda, and when time came around to purchase a new family car we instantly thought of Honda. We were very excited to hear that there was a new location in vista so without hesitation we went! Went there for an oil change. They came back with list of recommended services like belt that was replaced not that long ago. They replaced signal light as I requested and waiting time was ok. Two days later I left dealership I realized that they did not put my front mud flaps back as they removed them once they were changing the switch light bulb. I asked them to check and see if it s left behind just to get back to me and let me know since its not there they can order and sell me new ones?????? No apology no owning mistakes so I went first and last time I will continue to go to Escondido Honda never had a problem even if its further for me to drive.
Its okay if you need just an oil change, but if you have to get some work done I do not recommend. They do not have the amenities, knowledge, or customer service skills to handle large fixes.We had a repair scheduled for 1 day, but part wasnt even ordered (why did we bring the car in if you dont have the parts to fix?) This repair turned into 3 days with no follow up from the employees, personally had to call an hour before close to find out it still wasnt ready. Also, their phone interaction is garbage, I called on 4 separate occasions to schedule an appointment couldnt get anyone on the phone, I left a voicemail with the advisor and did not get a call back.We previously got an oil change it was fine.
Went in to get my airbag replaced- also got my car checked for any other repairs. Service was fast and my car is running great now. Shoutout to Omar for the great customer service
Very pleased with the service. Omar took care of me. He was courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable. He made me feel comfortable. Happy with the free car wash, and being shuttled using Lyft.
Ryan helped me with my service request Ryan is very friendly and helpful. He took excellent care of me and my car and kept me informed of what was happening and the costs involved. The service would take several hours. I didnt have a ride home so Ryan called Lyft to take me home, at Norm Reeves expense! He also arranged and paid, for Lyft to take me back to pick up my car the next day. Excellent service and great waiting area, highly recommend Norm Reeves Honda!
I was really happy with how amazing the staff was, considering I had a quick fix they were able to get me in and hour in an hour. I had parts ordered and returned to have them installed and was out in 15 minutes. AMAZING SERVICE!!

Omar was a help the whole way through the Maintenance of my Van. He kept me informed and advised the result of the inspection indicated what may. Need done. Advised when the car would be ready and called me shortly before it was ready. Couldn’t have ask for anything more.

Jared in Service was fantastic!Update 5/3/20: I hate to reduce my review score, but this store has really let me down. I purchased a new Accord in January, and took delivery at night (after they took hours to prep it for some reason) and didnt notice any issues at the time. Later in the week I noticed scratches and what appeared to be chemical damage on my entertainment screen. It looked exactly like someone had scratched the screen before delivery and tried to use a harsh chemical to try fix their mistake. After a month of back and forth the dealer finally replaced the screen and i thought I was all good to go. However, sure enough, a few weeks later i noticed very similar chemical damage and scratches on the gauge cluster lens. I thought it would be a simple process like before of retuning for repair. I contacted my advisor Jared, who has always been great, and was told he would look into it. After not hearing anything for weeks I called to find out they had furloughed Jared and not taken any action. After explaining the situation to the new advisor, he called back after a few days to say they would not repair the damage. No explanation, no apology, that was it. I understand an accord is not a $100,000 car but when I purchase a vehicle I expect it to be delivered damage free. A word of warning to any potential buyers, if you choose to use this dealership make sure you check the vehicle very closely before delivery. You cant be sure they will stand by their product.
I took my car in for service; first time there. I had a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation and I paid the exact price on the coupon! My car was ready exactly as promised and I was given some recommended follow up service issues for my next visit.

I cant describe how horrible this experience was at Norm Reeves Honda Superstore Vista.I contacted them with my Out the Door Price including my zip code for taxes and reg.They responded via email Yes, we can do it at $35,500 Out the Door Price and after some thought I decided to proceed with the purchase. Mind you, I live 90 miles away and it is an hour and forty-five minutes with no traffic. I initially worked with Isabella Luminacci ([email protected]).Of course, I wanted to confirm the price with them before making the long drive in this heat, during a pandemic, on my weekend time, because I didnt want any unpleasant surprises and games that happen occasionally at those smaller dealerships with BAD reputations. That *couldnt* happen at such a large place like a NORM REEVES HONDA SUPERSTORE, could it!? Long story short, IT DID. They planned it and should be ashamed of their practices. At least Bill Barrette saved me from wasting too much time on the road, but this is a deserved 1-star rating.
Staff is very nice and helpful. They helped answer all of my questions about the car I was interested and then helped give us a deal that we could afford. I would recommend coming to this dealership!

I had a recall for my Honda. They got me in the next day and had it repaired in a couple of hours. They provided a free Lyft ride to take me home while they did the repair. They had the repair done sooner than they thought. They offered another free Lyft ride to bring me back to pick up my car. Great service. Omar took great care of me.
It was a good experience with Norm Reeves Honda Superstore Vista when I brought my CRV 2013 for services. Omar helped me with the necessary maintenance and he was very courteous and friendly. I would recommend this Superstore to my friends and relatives.

Francisco jauregui provided me the worst customer experience I’ve had purchasing a vehicle. He told me he was ready to sit down and go over the paper work. Invited me into the room then walks out to take care of another customer. Comes back 10 minutes later and makes a joke about it.Goes over extras like some platinum package. I ask him to move on I don’t want to hear about it. Continues to go over packages and add on and tells me I’m not the one purchasing the car. And turns towards that person and starts talking to them. I’m helping the person purchase the car... I’m brokering this deal. Unreal the level of disrespect that he gave. I will never shop at Norm Reeves and will continue to tell people about my experience and reach out to Honda Customer Service to let them know about what happened.
Great Customer Service and very reasonably priced services especially if you have coupons available for my needs, I love that ..🥳🥰And I just want to say Thank you so much to Jared who helped me right away and was very thorough, accommodating and kind...He even had my car washed as he promised and finished my oil change sooner than later because I was in a hurry ...I definitely recommend you guys, I love my Honda !!

Tried this dealership for the first time as it just opened and is closer to my house than the dealership in Escondido. I came for a basic oil change. The dealership in Escondido has a fresh popcorn from a popcorn machine, coffee, hot chocolate, and a room with round tables and 2 separate tv rooms to sit at. This makes it much more compatible for my visits as I have children that I bring with me, which I think many people do. Also, Escondido offers free car wash for the exterior of the vehicle. This is something that Vista does not provide. All in all, I feel like even though Vista is a newer dealership, Escondido’s dealership provided you with better overall service. For me this is the most important aspect of my visit.
Excellent Service....Jaryd was great... he took such good care of my mom. I felt like we were really in good hands. He gave recommendations on future service for her car without being pushy. Courteous, thorough, specific to my car’s needs instead of a 1-size-fits-all-with-premium-pricetag (as I experienced at another dealership who said my car “needed” $500 worth of standard service without even looking at my car) and lots of sensitivity to the current pandemic. I’ll choose Norm Reeves for my Honda’s service from now on!

I called yesterday last minute for an oil change and got an Appt in the late morning. 45 minutes later my car was done.I would recommend this company for Honda Service. Nice, clean, newer dealership.
They able to get me in the last minute,, I greatly appreciate it,, however I mechanic forgot to reset the oil monitor.

Thought I had a minor radiator issue because it was losing water, even though there was no apparent leak. I thought I might need a radiator flush. The mechanic said best to do a diagnostic test first. Turned out it was more of an engine issue where cooling water was slowly making its way into the engine. The tech wrote out a detailed plan of repair and the associated costs. In his opinion, considering the age of the car, it might not be worth doing, but, of course, thats up to me. I appreciate his candor and the time he took to explain what would be involved.
This was my first visit to Norm Reeves Honda in Vista. The first person I spoke with when booking my appointment tells me I don’t have a recall on my car. When car is taken in, the service advisor says there is a recall on my car and it will take awhile to fix the recall, so sends my husband home in an Uber. About an hour later we receive a call that car is ready and Uber on way to get my husband. My husband comes home with sales receipt and description of work performed. The receipt doesn’t list the repair of the recall, and the inspection report isn’t attached to the receipt as referenced in the receipt. I have to call the service advisor to ask for a copy of the inspection report, and ask why the recall repair isn’t listed. He now tells me there was no recall on the car! What!! The service advisor texts the inspection report to me. The report says I have dirty brake fluid needing immediate attention. Now why couldn’t the service advisor call and ask if we would like that done since they had the car? Now I have to make another appointment on another day to take the car back in!!!!3/5/20 Addition to my original review - I received a call from Ryan at Norm Reeves, and he went above and beyond to respond to my complaint. After having a bad (1 star) experience a few months back, I stopped by to discuss a repair I needed and give them another chance. I was pleased to find out that they were aware of my previous issue (they care about reviews), and they had taken the appropriate measures to ensure it didn’t happen again. They repaired my car, on time and at the quoted price. I will continue to use Norm Reeves Vista for my service and repair.
My friend Juan morales was the person who sold me my first car and it was really great he was really helpful and just made everything easy. Kathy Salas gave me the contract and I just signed and that was it, she was really helpful too. It’s nice to be part of the Honda family.
