Rick did a great job for me. Started out as a bathroom remodel and turned into a complete downstairs remodel. He was on time every day, had his own team so he wasn’t dependent on subs. He had great style ideas and money saving ideas. I’ve referred him to many people and believe they’ve all been pleased. I love my home now and show it off proudly. He’s great to work with!

Rick and his crew did a complete kitchen remodel which I love. They were on time and efficient. His cabinet maker, Efren built a custom spice pull out. I am now in line for a remodel of my guest bathroom with Rick and his crew. I highly recommend Guedes Construction.

Totally absurd. I have used Guedes Construction for years and they represent the most honest and sincere company and people I have ever encountered. Guedes is simply the best construction company in North County. They have helped my husband and me on several projects and have always exceeded our expectations. I am re-writing as it is so important to update and give an unbiased report on our home projects completed by Guedes Construction.We chose Guedes Construction after interviewing several contractors. The reasons were as follows:Rick arrived at appointed time. He was respectful. He listened. He was informative about the possibilities within our budgeted guidelines. He was never condescending about our home or the scope of the job. He had awesome ideas that were beyond my initial thoughts and so we created a bathroom that focused not only on our current needs but possible future accessibility as well.Other contractors would not give me a dollar amount or give me any itemized numbers which is helpful when trying to determine which adjustments might be given in a major remodel. Rick provided me with an itemized estimate in a timely manner which was clear and concise. It gave me the knowledge I needed if there were certain adjustments to be made.The work on my bathroom began on the date promised.Guedes Construction is family owned. Rick is involved from the beginning to the end of the job. His dad, Carlos, is on site and oversees work as well as performing with great skill the plumbing, electrical, and any project pending. There are two men, Jose and Juan, whose work is above standard for industry. It is comforting to see the same people throughout the job and know their skill level.The scope of the remodel was completely gutting entire bathroom, replacing entire subfloor; moving plumbing and wiring to build new glassed-in accessible, tiled shower with hinged glass door with same tile around existing tub to blend the two together; new recessed lighting; new floor covering; plastering and painting the walls and ceiling, Also door opening from bedroom to bath was expanded from its existing 30 to a 48 opening which allowed for clearance if ever needed. This was my choice as I like the openness and how it gave the bedroom and bathroom a bigger feel.My new bathroom is so easy to keep clean and look nice which is greatly appreciated as it reduces the work for maintaining and keeping clean.After this bathroom project, our kitchen became the next priority after I saw the difference in our lives by having our bathroom done.Our kitchen had so many issues that we decided to follow the same route by gutting and starting from scratch. I would have been afraid had it not been for Guedes. With Ricks help, we were able to come up with a good new plan for our kitchen. Rick and I would talk about the issues with the kitchen and then he would go back to office and design it so that I could see a draft to visualize what it would look like. He is one of the few companies that actually have a showroom to show you cabinets or tiles to help choose the right one. He goes above and beyond to help in the decision making without being pushing or trying to sell. It was overwhelming with all the choices but Ricks knowledge helped with the decision making. I loved that my opinion mattered and that in all areas, I was asked to make sure that it was what I wanted. I.E. where the light switches should go, where I wanted my lighting fixtures, where I wanted my door handles. Even though they have more experience in these matters, they still ask and keep me involved all throughout the project.From my new cabinets, the new counter tops, recessed lighting, new slide in range/oven, range hood, built in refrigerator area, floors, I have to say they go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. Their skill is obvious and causes one to relax knowing they are in good hands. Carlos was on-hand as he was in the bathroom which gave me great comfort watching him work and knowing he is great at what he does. Which is everything a job might require.Rick also wall mounted two of our televisions which I heard that he could do this for me. I love that all those wires dont show anymore and that it feels safer than sitting on a shelf, in case of an earthquake.

Our landlord hired Guedes Construction who sub-contracted to Allied Environmental Company to clean our condo which had a ceiling cave in and a hazardous asbestos problem. We were told by a separate Environmental Company (not named here) which items could be wiped down and cleaned and safely returned to us. Items like our brand new flat screen TV, silverware, cookware, and ceramic items handmade through the years by our daughter. Oh, not to mention beautiful paintings, some which werent even in the house at the time of ceiling cave in, just to mention a few. We had a meeting with both companies to find out what happened to our missing items. After a lot of finger pointing both companies denied ever stealing those items or removing them because of the toxicity of the asbestos. After the four guys from Allied left the premises Carlos Guedes took me aside to show me my silverware and a silver platter that he says mysteriously showed up in the kitchen after the place had already been cleaned up by ALLIED...saying they missed those items.Also, Allied said that the TV and various other electronic equipment mysteriously ended up in the back seat of Rick Guedes truck, who, by the way, was supposed to be at the meeting but was a no show! I would not recommend this company to anyone who values their belongings. They stole from us and then lied about it!

Guedes Construction replaced my old kitchen countertops with these beautiful Cambria quartz countertops in January 2018 and I could not be happier with their workmanship. I found Guedes Construction online and reached out to get an estimate for my home. Maureen, the office manager, was really helpful with all of my many questions over the phone and she invited me over to their showroom to meet and discuss my project the following week. Their showroom has many different samples and both Rick and Maureen were very patient and knowledgeable about their products and process. Rick and his crew were always on time, professional and courteous to my husband, myself and our doggie, Baxter. They completely transformed the space from drab to fab. From beginning to end, they did a fantastic job on my kitchen! If youre looking for a trustworthy and professional construction crew, Id highly recommend Guedes Constructions for all of your homes needs!
