The storage units and access to them are fine, but thats probably standard. The thing that sets the Oceanside CubeSmart apart is the excellent customer service by their employees. Id rented a storage unit for my son who had to vacate his rented home in a short time. The manager at CubeSmart waited late for us to arrive to check out the possibilities and was very helpful and kind. Then she told me that the first month was free! Pretty cool. My son ended up needing to use the second month too, and then missed the deadline for emptying the unit. I called them back and was told No problem, its only a couple of days. What a relief. I wish I could remember the names of the two people who helped us out (one female, one male). They are the main reason Im a fan of CubeSmart. They deserve raises!

The unit was very clean. Hallways and other areas on the premise were also very clean. After leaving belongings untouched for 8 months everything was still clean and ready to move.Customer service was outstanding. Any time I had questions they were able to help me out politely and easily. They made a stressful move less stressful! They were all very professional and happy to assist with anything they could. Awesome staff!

Facility and employees are great. Weve had a unit for years. Very clean, gate has no issues. Online billing and payment easy.

Customer service was good as the employees were pretty friendly and helped any way they can. But the lack of security in the facility was terrible, saw a bunch of people that I would categorize as homeless wandering the facility. Had my storage unit broken into that had a lock I got straight from the storage facility office, after reporting it, the manager was extremely apologetic and gone through the cameras and try to help, unfortunately the camera that are present has terrible quality and was of no use. Doors to the inside units were always opened that made the pin required to get in pointless to those who have belongs there. Really anyone who wants to get inside absolutely can and can access your stuff. After reporting to the police, I found out that this is extremely common at this location and have been repeatedly told by the police to update their security.

This place is my go to for deployment storage. The manager Wendy is absolutely incredible to work with. She was so helpful and kind from me first getting my unit all the way through checking out almost a year later. The facility is safe and very clean. Would highly recommend using this facility.

I rented unit online with their contract less system. Everything seemed ok. My unit # was given to me and instructions were provided. I was told my unit would have a lock in it when I arrived on the inside of the unit when I open the door. It did not and it was after hours when I rented the unit so I was paying for unit that I couldnt utilize because I was required to use one of their locks. I called customer service and complained they got a hold of the site manager who brought me a lock so I could utilize the unit. I understand it was after the office closed but dont tell me the unit is ready with a lock in it if that is not the case. Secondly the unit is not in a temperature controlled environment so every time I go into the facility where my unit is located its hotter than blazes inside. Other than those issues, the facility itself is extremely clean and easy to access.

I rented a space for the last few months for the holidays season and dealt Jim at 1625 W Vista Way. Jim very polite and helpful in showing me what was available. Jim was very detailed and he answered all my question so i was able to select a unit that was best suited for my needs. everything ran smoothy for the first month and then i forgot to set up auto pay. After i was Promptly notified by Jade that i was Late on paying my bill. I called to set up auto Pay. Lucky for me Jade answered the phone and she was extremely helpful with her Pollyanna ism attitude in resolving the issue and setting up auto pay. I got to say the over all experience was extremely delightful. these two individuals are incredibly polite and professional. I would refer them and your storage facility to anyone I know. they deserve a raise!

Tim is the best! I unexpectedly needed a storage unit and CubeSmart offered the best rate for the storage space I am renting. I was short on time and every thing was done so quickly I could hardly believe I was in and out of the office in just minutes. I have been a customer of CubeSmart for quite awhile and this location on Vista Way had superb employees that were eager to help, but when my valued items got wet & ruined, they changed. The first unit they were going to transfer me to was rented to someone else, took several more weeks to get another one, but not the same size...bigger which meant more money, it took their claims dept months to finalize a claim completely under valuing my antique items that were ruined!

Jim the Manager is very thorough, professional and efficient. And the facility is very clean, well organized and conveniently located.Highly recommended!

Excellent staff. I had to move my company storage here from Cleveland. The guys were amazing and received all my packages. This service is unprecedented and well worth the price. In comparison to other storages they definitely provide a lot of services for even a lower price than any other place around. Very convenient and safe, to my pleasure next to a car wash with free vacuums. :) I am glad I stopped here and that our business was valued by the staff here.

I think the staff here are courteous and professional, the units are clean inside and out, it feels quiet and safe, but thats about the only things going for this storage facility. I think the prices are about average. The main problem I have here is the hours. They close at 10pm EVERY night, weekends included. They dont open until 8am. Personally I think the hours should be 10-11 during the week and midnight on the weekends. I also feel like opening up at 5-6 am during the week and no later than 7am on weekeds would be more convenient for customers. We once went on a Saturday and wrongly assumed hours were extended on weekends like every other storage facility, and found ourselves locked in at 10:30pm. Of course, we were able to get out through the side gate, but the management ended up charging us $50 for being on grounds 30 mins after closing! Unbelievable!!

Both Tim and Jim have been extremely helpful over the past five and a half years. Cube Smart has competitive rates, but most importantly, they offer longer and later hours which is very convenient. Also, the whole facility is clean and is well lit. As far as storage units go, this is the place to have one.

This place is awesome! I just to rent with the guys in the other side if the Emeral Avenue around $30.00 more than the price I got in here, same size and $30.00 cheaper. Thank you guys!

We love this location! We use it both for personal and for business use and I have always felt safe and comfortable coming here. Jim and all the staff are great to work with, friendly, and Care about their jobs and their customers.

Id been around the area to other facilities and I wasnt pleased. I couldnt get a hold of an associate and the building didnt seem very clean or kept. The hours I had access to my things werent convenient.The staff at this location have been very helpful and attentive. As a young person, its hard to get to that. Ive had luck with finding first floor units for easy access and the location is right off the free way. As I do stop buy somewhat frequently, I appreciate that its no more then 10 minutes added to my commute. They won me! Thank you Wendy and staff.

Only disappointment was to find out that there is no lighting in the 10x10 on the second floor. (elevator is very hight inside - maybe 12-13 feet?) Well kept, managed and accessible. You have to check in and out the carts and there are only 3, so its a hit and miss thing. Inside units are hot as hell-no air. But very strict security so at least my junk feels safe. Hours of access suck. Will be leaving after month is up.

We signed up online initially and Jim confirmed with us. He was fantastic at following up, and was very flexible as we had to change our move in time/date, and upgrade to a larger unit. The check in process was quick and painless and would definitely refer this storage facility to anyone needing one in the future.Exceptional customer service across the board!!

The worst service Ive had or seen in years. A racist, hateful and very angry General Manager( Tim Shartel). I as well as any Homeless person have destroyed this state he says and Its people like me who makes every screwed up here. He then goes on to say.. if he wasnt in uniform he kick my a!# I replied Please feel free to change. I hope your uniform as well as your company will think out side the cube and make a smart move and change you. This all over me coming in 20 minutes before closing. & asking please unlock my unit And his refusal to do so
