Overall as someone who was here little over a week it is better than the Juvinelle Detention Center . There are 3 meals a day but the food isnt that good . When I was here some of the time there would be hair in the food .In my opinion the cook shows bad habits when cleaning and isnt clean at all .You get 2-3 snacks between meals . There is a point system you start off with 100 and can earn rewards if you maintain them such as candy or toys ... The beds you sleep in are not comfortable they always gave me back problems and also in the bunk beds there is a lot of dirt between the wood and the walls are dirty Ive heard that male particles could have been on the wall . I heard that there were bugs but Ive never seen that for myself . Once when serving dinner they gave on of the residents moldy bread which is unacceptable . Some of the staff can be childish if there is ever tension in the CIH they do l=house shutdowns meaning children have to go in their rooms for a certain period of time . Ms . Thomasine Norfleet one of the staff is very immature and hands out FHRS some of the time for no reason FHR= Full house restriction meaning no calls and other stuff . DONT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE .IF you do Id hope they have a better experience than me.
