My family has used ABC Contracting over the years and I highly recommend them. They are courteous and pay attention to detail. The staff is knowledgeable and very accommodating to the individual needs of your project. There is no project too big or too small for them to handle for your family. Their rates are reasonable and their work is top notch!
ABC Contracting has done numerous projects at my Suffolk home. Original roof, replacement roof after hurricane damage, siding repair, converted porch to closed in sunroom, interior repairs you name it-they can do it!Their staff is always prompt, professional and do outstanding work. You can’t put a price in peace of mind but I will say that we got excellent value for cost of our projects. Highly recommend them!
ABC when out of its way to work to our deadline. The challenge... how to get all the modifications done on our newly purchased home between closing date and when the moving trucks showed up? They came early and stayed late each day to get everything done in time. They also suggested a few creative improvements for us to consider. Though these ideas were out scope from the original request, they found ways to do more than we asked for the same expense. Pete made sure things were done the right way, and made the move into our first home a blessing.
DON’T TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANYI contracted with ABC’s subsidiary Aloha and the owner of ABC Pete Owen and had a terrible experience. I contracted with them to install a pool at my house at the beginning of March to start construction at the end of April and paid my deposit. The end of April came and went, and he said he was delayed a little due to weather but would be out by the middle/end of May and would be complete about the same time at the end of June he had initially promised. I wasn’t upset and understand delays happen. On June 5th I contacted him about the status and why he couldn’t make the delay calls to me rather than me having to call him after he had already missed another start date. He said he was getting everything ready for the pool delivery and was mobilizing on June 18th to start construction. He said he had already ordered the equipment and the pool. On June 21st I called him several times trying to get an update on the pool, but he did not answer or return my voicemails. Over the next several days I called him several times and left several messages with no return calls. On June 24th I called the pool manufacturer to find out the status from them as I was unable to get in touch with Pete. The manufacturer told me that Pete had never ordered the pool or made any preliminary inquiry regarding pool availability. After ordering the pool it would take about three weeks to make, and it would have been impossible for him to mobilize on June 18th even if he had ordered the pool on June 5th, meaning he directly lied and deceived me on June 5th knowing he would be unable to complete the work. After some help from the manufacturer, I was able to get in touch with Pete on June 25th. I demanded my deposit back by Friday, June 28th and he agreed. I called him several times over the next several days, and he again went back to ducking my calls and not returning them later. On June 28th I had to go to his office and demand my money back and couldn’t get a call back from him until confronting his office staff to call/text him to call me back. A check that would later bounce was cut for me that day. The saga continued for another two weeks where I had to threaten legal action to get my deposit back. He had the use of my money for more than four months and gave me nothing but lies and scams.
I spoke with Fadi today and he was very helpful in more than just my original question. I would recommend their services.
This is so sad, because the experience started out so well. However, in the middle of the project, when all the subcontracting began, the original salesman General Contractor, really let the ball drop. Did not return to the sight, wanted to get paid before seeing what wasnt done or needed finishing and even before the final inspection passed. We had to call continuously to get the job done and even then, ended up doing the final touches of the clean-up ourselves. READ THE CONTRACT CLOSE, because it has an excuse for everything and DOES NOT match the sales pitch or the words you hear throughout the project. Really terribly disappointed in the lack of customer service and follow through........
