If you are looking for an excellent, regular Mens/boys haircut and not a fancy dancy hairstylist then Kemps River Barber shop is the place for you. These guys know their craft, they get you in and out without a lot of fanfare/hoopla just a great ole fashioned haircut. I personally wait for Connie but all of the barbers are excellent.

I’m in the military so I’ve been getting my haircut at barbers all over America and other countries. This place is literally the best barber shop I’ve ever been to. Almost no wait, great price, excellent service, nice staff, and good quality. I drive 20 min here just to get my haircut and it’s definitely worth it.

I have been going to the Kemps River Barber Shop on and off for over 10 years. They have great hours, a fair price, and well-trained barbers. I have my standard 2 cut every 60 days. They all do great work and I am always satisfied with the service.

There are always three or four barbers working. The haircuts are routinely great and one gets a neck massage at the end. Rapidly becoming my barber shop of choice.

Been coming here for years. Theyre all Filipinos, many of whom barely speak English, but all of whom are very friendly and can cut hair. The prices are more than fair. I wouldnt come here for some kind of layered style, but theyre really good at standard mens haircuts. This is a military area, so they specialize in the high and tight. My son and I come here for flattops a few times a year, and almost all of them can do a good flattop. Im not picky about my hair (my grandma always said the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is three days), so I always take the first available chair, and theres almost always little or no wait. If youre trying the place for the first time and care deeply about your cut, Id suggest waiting for Penny as a low risk option. She seems to be able to do everything and is very careful and attentive to your instructions. All the barbers finish with a nice little neck and shoulder rub.

I used to love this place but after 30 years as a customer the people have changed over the years and it just wasnt on par of the prior staff. I decided not to burden them with my business when I stopped in today to get a haircut and I didnt want to leave my 10 week old puppy in 92 degree hot car. When I challenged their no pet rule and told these newbie staff they didnt care. Many other barbershops around. You dont treat your long time return customers like that. As I told them walking out the door have a good life.

The service I received was fantastic, especially for the price. My haircut didnt take long yet the stylist was meticulous, making sure it was perfect. This was definitely my best haircut experience and, without a doubt, I will be making this store my go-to for haircuts.

This guy is an excellent barber who really knows what he is doing. I tried to cut my hair and butchered it but he was able to fix! It looks so great now! I have been going here since I was 13. I had a family friend who cut my hair as a boy and I found this place after he passed away and the comfort has always been the same. Friendly and proffesional.

I started going here in 2008. Good service for the most part. I like to just get in, get my haircut, and get out without too much talking. The only time I have ever gotten a bad haircut was when I stayed late and work and got there 30 minutes before closing. Other than that, typical old school shop, cash only - $12.00.

Since moving here I have had trouble finding someone to cut my sons hair the way I like but the lady that cut his hair here, was pretty spot on. Good price and I do plan on going back in the future.

I also have gone to kemps river barber shop for years when LARRY AND PRIMO WERE THERE BUT THEY HAVE LEFT AND NEW PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN OVER AND THERE ARE PROBLEMS RECENTLY I WENT FOR A HAIR CUT AND ASKED FOR A TRIM WHAT I GOT WAS SCALPING IT APPEARS THEY CHANGE BARBERS WEEKLY SO THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW THE PERSON CUTTING YOUR HAIR AND WHAT THEY WILL DO
