Went in for a consult. The first thing I was asked for was my SS card. Not even a client yet and you wanted my Social, first read flag. Didnt even have a lawyer come out, just a kid in a fleece vest and jeans, second red flag. Sat down in a small office. He started by asking me why I was there. His response to me saying information about bankruptcy, oh ok cool! I had to say not cool but ok. Started going over my info. I told him that I had 2 vehicles one owned outright one with a loan and cosigner. He immediately told me I would have to surrender it. Advised him that this is my 3rd consultation and no one else told me that. (he didnt bother to find out that I owe more than it is now worth and under the Homestead Act it was protected) He was only worried about telling me, well, we have been in business for over 35 years. we know what we are doing. i ended the meeting. As I got to the door of the office he says, i think its best we end this meeting. yeah, no kidding as I did that and was already half out the door. Dont recommend these folks at all and my business will go were they had the respect to have me met with someone that cared and answered my questions not made me feel like a bother.

If you require little work, overall, Boleman Law provides good representation. Initially, I was at rest knowing I were in good hands with this firm. Most of the staff were courteous and attentive. Mr. Hahne demonstrated strong expertise, but the other attorneys who provided counseling impressed to have little interest in my welfare or health; thus, I did not feel that my best interest took precedence in the decisionmaking process. The attorney that I had the most contact with was often condescending and acted like a creditor while I was coping with health and wavering income issues. Oftentimes, I did not feel she was advocating in my best interest. If you dont have any unexpected occurrences during the term of your plan, i.e., medical/surgery issues, fluctuating income periods, etc., however, you will get decent representation. Otherwise, they will not do much to assist with developing a strategy to keep you afloat. Instead, they will make unfavorable decisions and then try to squeeze an additional retainer fee out of you. Figuratively speaking, this firm is in bed with the trustees, and provides subpar work when faced with interim challenges. After retaining new counsel, settlements and payment plans were reached with my creditors, and I saved $3,800!!!

Im not very pleased with the lawyer I spoke with at the Virginia Beach Law Firm I went in for a bankruptcy consultation and was advised that I should do a Chapter 13. I dont own any property nor am I a business owner so my debt is much less than someone who would need to file a Chapter 13 because I dont own property or anything of extensive value. The very first lawyer that I went to was going to do a divorce and bankruptcy for me for a total of $1,600 which is what boleman law was going to charge me for the Chapter 7 bankruptcy alone. However the lawyer and the Virginia Beach office express I need to do a Chapter 13. Which means I would have been paying $275 a month totaling about $17,00 over the course of 5 years.. well this seems like the best option looking at the fact that I may still have a car payment left after I paid you $17,000 and this 275 and include my car payment that seems like a rip-off.. well every lawyer at this Law Firm may not be like this I highly suggest you get a good opinion and make sure that youre making the right choice first. Its all about about a dollar
