Buckle up, boys! It’s gonna be a long one!My family and I have been loyal Checkered Flag customers for years. As a matter of fact, every vehicle in our driveway has been purchased brand new from either Checkered Flag Honda or Checkered Flag Toyota. So, to say the least, we have given you guys our business for the past decade, considering our oldest vehicle from CF is a 2008. Now that I have a growing family of my own, I decided to come back to where I (thought I could) trust. My husband and I have been wanting a minivan for awhile now. We came in and had Noah assist us. He was helpful, allowed us to test drive a Sienna and we discussed how it would work if we wanted to put a deposit down for the ‘21 Sienna XSE. He informed us that with inventory being scarce and the chip shortage, they have limited options as to what they’re able to offer us. However, upon looking at the upcoming deliveries for the Sienna, we agreed on placing a deposit down for a 2021 Sienna XSE in Blueprint. He told us that once the $500 deposit was placed, no one else could have dibs on that vehicle UNLESS we backed out of the deposit, they refund the $500 to us, and that vehicle is no longer ours. Otherwise, we would be the first to know about and look at/test drive the Sienna once it arrives. After placing the deposit, we play the waiting game. A week goes by, we don’t get any updates. Two weeks, still no updates. A couple days later, we call and Noah tells us he’s in the middle of a sale and to check our email regarding where the Sienna is at - as if we haven’t been anxiously checking everyday. We give him the benefit of the doubt and call back a week later only to have him telling us that they have SOLD that Sienna to someone else. But guess what… we never backed out on the deal, AND our deposit was never refunded UNTIL that very conversation we had with him. He stated that it was sold while he was away on vacation and that he’d get to the bottom of it. As you can imagine, we were EXTREMELY disappointed and frustrated. We have since decided to take our business elsewhere and would advise you all to be cautious trusting Checkered Flag.

I had a good experience at Checkered Flag Toyota recently. Because all time slots were booked for August, I had to drop my car off at the service center first-thing in the morning without an appointment. I received my car back at the end of the day with an approved inspection and all the brake work I needed to get done. Tried to order some parts for my 4runner, and it was only minor push pin parts that totaled $15. They asked for the VIN number to the vehicle? I knew the exact part numbers of what I needed. So, then cancelled my order in less than 24hrs when I didnt respond with the VIN. If the Dealership is anything like the parts department, dont deal with these clowns.

I bought a car yesterday and was very pleased with ALAN as the sales representative. His information delivery was smooth believable and helpful. He did not pressure too much and I felt like he was trying to get a good deal for me not just make a sale. You will NOT experience this at Checkered Flag Toyota at all. This was by far the easiest smoothest, and best price of a new car purchase I have ever had. All of my questions or concerns were addressed. I was kept informed every step of the way. My schedule was busy that week so when I wanted to come in one day Mikel had the day off. But that was okay. Because he had arranged John S. to work with me who was also super nice and a pleasure to work with. How wonderful I did not have to wait. The teamwork they have at this dealership is amazing.So, If you want a truly stress free and pleasant car buying experience, you must go to Checkered Flag Toyota and ask for Mikel. Great customer service, Alejandro was very nice and patient, good prices and very nice lobby, but when they said that they will detail the vehicle before they turn the key to you, they got F-. I bought a 2014 RAV4 and has a cigarette smell, they told us that they will take care about that and that they will detailed the car. A 5 years old kid can do better job than they did.I posted a few pictures on Google about what they called “detailed”

Alex Suarez made the buying process a breeze and he is very knowledgeable and experienced. My family has purchased many cars from him and he is always an absolute pleasure to work with. Tina and the other receptionist were so accommodating. They gave us a spoon so my son could eat his dinner while we did paperwork and Tina made a toy out of a box to keep him preoccupied. Mikel gave us some wonderful pointers while we were taking a break outside. Overall, the staff was very friendly!

Van Eric was awesome! I have purchase lots of cars and this, by far, was the best experience. We came into the dealership knowing what we wanted but Van helped us work through our requirements and we left in a new Toyota Avalon. We were not even considering the Avalon but once Van explained the features and benefits, it was a no-brainer. So happy with the car, the experience and Van. If you are looking for a new car with a very low pressure approach, Van is your guy.

I was looking for a 2021 Tacoma in magnetic gray and made inquiry on the Checkered Flag Toyota website. In a few minutes, James McKee called me and answered all of my questions. He was very polite and receptive to my needs. The next couple of days I called him with more questions and he would always take my calls and answer my questions. He called me with updated information which I really appreciated. I made the decision to come in at look at the truck and James McKee made the process easy. I did not feel any pressure to buy, which most dealerships have done to me in the past. I live closer to Priority Toyota and have purchased from them in the past but James McKee made me a Checkered Flag customer for life. He was awesome to work with. When i first went to this dealership, Tony had helped me out look for a specific car that i wanted and that was also in my budget. they didn’t have it. however, i had changed my mind later on and started looking for corollas. i went back to this dealership because they had a 2018 white toyota corolla available that i have been wanting and that was also in my budget. Tony continued to help me. he was really helpful and patient. he knew what he was talking about and he was completely honest. he cares for his customers a lot which is really good to have especially working at a car dealership. i would recommend Tony. he is also a funny guy which made the whole time even better!the process of getting my car only took about an hour. just an additional tip, if you’re wanting to put down a down payment using your debit card, call your bank first to set a limit so you don’t have to wait longer.overall, i had a great experience at this dealership. besides Tony, everyone else was really nice and patient. thank you.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I wanted to take the opportunity to express how much I enjoyed working with James McKee and applaud his professionalism. He was very knowledgeable, attentive and courteous. I look forward to maybe dealing with James McKee again in the future. My only complaint is with the sales manager (or whoever my sales rep consulted with) who would not honor a quote (which was several days old) on the vehicle when I returned to the dealership with intentions to purchase it. I live and work in NC and that’s what attributed to the several days that passed between the initial test drive and my return to the dealership. It should be noted that James “made “ a successful sale but because of a price increase on the vehicle the week following the test drive, I did not make the purchase.

Spent Saturday searching on-line from New Kent, Va to find the only Blueprint colored Camry LE in the Tidewater/Richmond area and Checkered Flag Toyota Va Beach had 2 on their lot! Inquired on-line and was contacted by Product Specialist Cilia Melendez. We spoke back and forth on the phone, via text and email. Cilia did all the work. On Sunday I traveled the almost 1.5 drive to Checkered Flag Toyota, where Cilia met me. In less than 2 hours she had me in my brand new Camry heading home.
