Just found out today that we are being charged more than double the price of comparable auto coverage from multiple other major carriers. Went to Eric Liu to discuss and was immediately offered coverage at 25% off, still much higher than all of the major competition. When asked why they hadnt offered the lower coverage, I was advised that they can only offer the lower coverage if the customer asks. This is outrageous. I have been with Allstate nearly all of my adult like (like 40 years) so this approach is terribly disappointing. I am disappointed at myself for allowing them to double charge me for years without checking out the competition, but I am deeply disappointed that the agency would stand behind a non-sensible policy of not offering its long standing customers the best rate. Needless to say, this is my last month being an Allstate customer after 40 years.
