Lexus noise problem! Found and corrected 2 years ago. Reasonable and problem was eliminated. Very happy!
Best place around. Quality work and real friendly people. Will always reccomend
Outstanding bunch of guys. Very friendly and respectful. If I ever have anymore issues with my truck Ill definitely take it back here. Thanks Bros
Numerous important repairs on vehicles for entire family. Confidence, quality and safety extremely important. Superb service and reasonable costs. Great staff.
Thank you guys for taking care of my Land Rover. Runs and rides like a new vehicle. Will highly recommend you any time. Very friendly service.
My girlfriend brought her car in for a state inspection, only to be told her car needs new rotors and a new fog light. They wanted almost 700 dollars for the work. Not to mention she just had her brakes replaced a few months ago. If you’re a female I highly suggest staying away from this place.
They got my vehicle in immediately and were very prompt in contacting me with the diagnostics. However, that was where things began to unravel. We talked on the phone about 4:30 to give me the diagnostics report. My estimate was significantly higher than I believed it would be. I think out of shock, I gave them permission to do the work at that time. I also was at their mercy, having to tow my vehicle there to begin with. I was told they wouldnt begin the work until the morning. Later that evening, I began to think about the estimate. I also discussed it with some friends and family who have experience with mechanic work. Everyone felt the estimate was much higher than it should be. I called that evening and left a message asking them to call me back before they started any work on my vehicle to discuss the estimate. I specifically said DO NOT DO ANY WORK UNTIL WE TALK. The only thing I heard back from them was that my vehicle was done and ready for pickup, through a text message. I got no explanation, other than they didnt know how to contact me. However, I was receiving text messages throughout the process, and left messages with my vehicle make and phone number twice. When I got the bill and the break down of prices, I was pretty stunned. Their markup for parts was unbelievable. I was charged $276 for a new battery, and could have gotten the same battery at Autozone, with longer warranty, for $139. I also think my current battery was still under warranty, because I replaced it myself in 2013 with a 5 year warranty, which was never mentioned to me.I understand good mechanic work comes at a price, and I do feel I received quality work. I just believe I was taken advantage of with this bill. I hope this was just an isolated incident, but I dont think I will be returning and probably would not recommend them to anyone else.
Took my sons car to have repaired. They provided an outstanding service at a very reasonable price. All of the repairs were made and my sons car is back on the road. Will most definitely use there service again. Thanks again to everyone in the shop!
*This is an additional response from my original review and in response to the businesses defense. After they read my poor review, they are now proceeding to call and harass myself and my employer threatening to come into my place of business and cause a scene and I have now been advised to seek legal council and the Vienna police are now involved.**They were nice until I had a concern. I brought my BMW in to be diagnosed because both my nonhalogen headlights quit working and am only able to use my high beams (very unsafe to drive with) and the diagnostic on the vehicle read Right and Left Parking Lamp Malfunction. My car is not very old but is now above 60k miles due to travel and out of warranty so rather than take it to Columbus and save inconvenience and what I thought cost, I chose to take it locally. I received a quote for nearly $2500 but did not include anything about what was wrong with my headlights, only 60k mile maintenance things that my vehicle status already told me I needed (did not need the $125 diagnostic to tell me that). I told them not to go ahead with service because I needed to clarify this issue but when I went back to pick up my car ten til 5 the service tech had already left and the person at the counter seemed unaware that there was anything wrong with my lights because it wasn’t on the report, even though I stated multiple times on the phone and dropping it off what was wrong. He told me I would have to get it fixed to make the lights on the dash go off (as if because I’m a girl I didn’t understand you have to fix the cause of the lights being on when in reality the only light that was on was what they failed to look at). He told me to call back the next day so I paid for the diagnostic that told me nothing and wasted my time. When I called back he said I’d have to bring it back to run further diagnostic and I asked why if that was the whole reason I brought it in to begin with why they didn’t do that initially and why I was being charged for something I didn’t need. I would have been happy to pay the diagnostic if it had told me the issue and probably would have gone ahead to have it fixed there if it had seemed like they were honest and knew what they were doing. I understand their time is money also but my opinion is they just neglect real issues and try to make money by taking advantage of people that aren’t mechanics.
In June 16 I had the brakes in my 08 MINI Cooper repaired at P&L s. In January 17 the brake warning light said I had only 1100 miles left on the front brakes but 36000 remaining on the rear. Obviously something was wrong with either the front brakes or, hopefully, the sensor. I called P&L s and was told to drop the car off the following morning. By 11 a.m. I got a text that the car was fixed. The sensor wire had frayed and broken and had been replaced. I picked the car up later that day and was told no charge for the repair! Sure, maybe something in the original brake job was not quite right and that caused the wiring problem. But theres no way I would have ever known that. They could have easily charged me for parts and labor. But Pete and Libbys is a class act. Ill definitely be bringing my Cooper back for future repairs and routine maintenance.
I recently brought my BMW in for service. I heard they were up on the euro cars so I decided to save a drive to Columbus. I took it in for routine maintenance and a malfuction light. I was told any indicators on the dash required diagnostics which I agreed. The price just for this was well below the dealers fee. They recommended some items at which time I will reschedule. They repaired my issues with my malfunction light and I feel the price and service was acceptable. I would recommend them. As I read some of these reviews, I have to wonder how or why people think someone should work for free. SMH
They tried to rob me. Quoted a price of$1000, then I had the same job done for $ 240 total!!
They do good work and do it quickly. I recommend.
Excellent service, knowledgeable and friendly staff! Will definitely return :)
STAY AWAY!!!! My infiniti while drivable would not rev above 3000 rpm. I took it to this place before Christmas for repair. Was told no problem. After inspection $1000 to fix. I told them it would have to wait for after Christmas. Then Danny said they could make drivable for $300 and the rest of the problem could be fixed later. Now it was hard to drive only different from before. Took it back mid February to get the rest taken care of. Another $1000 and my infiniti runs worse than when they started. When I picked it up it was idling about 2800 rpm, Very high above the 700 rpm that is recommended. I had Danny come out to listen and he said it was just cold and it just needed driven. Then told me they could do no more with it and I would have to take it to a dealer.I believed it they had it for aweek. Ha, I have owned it for 8 yrs and never had it idled this high. It has been over 2 weeks and it is still not drivable.. I have receipts and car to prove what I say. I want my money back. ALL of it. Also there mark up on parts is ridiculous. Average price for part for my suv is $56 and I was charged $230. Also charged $50 to replace it. Which is 2 screws and 1 plug,on top of motor meaning 5-10 minutes max. This means they charge $300 an hr. Which is 3 times higher than honest garages. There commercials say guaranteed. Unless they cant fix it like mine. Thanks for reading and I do have a lot more about my experience at this dishonest business.
Stop by on10/24/2016 to see about having state inspection done was told to much going on was told to come back next day at 8am . got there this morning at 8 waiting on state inspection at 11:30car still not even pulled inside, got paper work and keys. Then he says can you dfop it off in the morning, no I will get it done somewhere that wants to do it. Sad thing is I have spent thousands of $$$ there in the last 3yrs.
Id give it negative stars if I could. They told me that I needed a part that doesnt exist for my car (per the dealer) kept my car several hours longer than I was told, and charged more than other mechanics. Dont take your car there ...well, unless you hate it, and your time and money.
My cousin Michael is awesome, he fixed my car, a VW beetle, the vw dealership said I needed something fixed that didnt need fixing and Mike fixed like a brand new car. Thank you, if you ever need your car fixed go here. Its awesome because my car didnt even crank up and now it does.
Stay as far away from Pete and Libbys as you possibly can. I called this so-called mechanic shop and ask them if they can get to my truck today he needing a caliper and brake pads on the right rear only. He said he can get to it and if I can get it over there he would take care of them well I brought it in they tore it down they tried to sell me calipers and rotors for and pads and hoses for the entire rear the truck truck. They were buying parts from the auto parts store and marking them up before they sold them to me. When I explain to them that I only needed to replace the caliper that was worn out and the pads on the rear and the rotor on one side they said that they could not do that. He wanted me to do the complete job and by parts that werent necessary. I was told that it was unsafe. When I pushed back and asked him how it was unsafe he retreated to adjust not worth it to me. I had them put my truck back together. I went and bought the tools and the parts to do the job myself. When I tried to take the lug nuts off of the rims of my truck I discovered that they had tightened them with the impact wrench so tight that no human beings are possibly loosening by themselves. I know that this was intentional because the guy had an attitude before I left as if I had done something wrong. Customer service is awful and they are robbing their customers. Stay far far away from this robber!
Best service I have yet to find around my area. brought in the thinking I was gonna need to pay over a few grand from what other garages had told me. went to Pete n lobbies and cost me half that and had even fixed extra little problems I wasnt aware of. all in all if you need car work done. GO TO PETE N LIBBIES
Vw dealer was cheaper on parts and labor. Had them do some work on my passat and felt like they were fishing . They fixed it for 2 weeks and had to take it back and they said it was something else told us it was guaranteed but only on what they thought was wrong.I would check around for others.
My husband and I received a quote from Pete and Libby’s a few weeks ago. The quote was $2400 to repair our valve cover, intake hoses, gaskets, and spark plugs on our VW Touareg. We felt it was a little high so we went for a 2nd opinion. I hesitated to take it to the local VW garage because I figured they would be significantly higher. I was wrong. They were able to do the same repair for over $1,000 cheaper and the work was performed by a certified VW repairman. I called Pete and Libby’s to ask for clarification in the quote difference. I faxed over our papers from the repairs we had at the VW garage and spoke with Danny at Pete and Libby’s. He said the price difference was because the VW garage only charged us for 4 hours of labor (which is how long it took) and that Pete and Libby’s charge for labor based on what Mitchell’s Auto Repair quotes for hours. Danny said “if you get a good technician that is fast then it can take less time.” I’m all about saving money and time and using a good technician. I asked if it would have taken them less time if they would have charged less and he said “we charge by what the book says. If it pays 8 hours and only takes 1 then we charge for 8 hours…within reason”. I was blown away by this. If I’m quoted 8 hours and it only takes 4…I only want to pay for 4! The rest of the $1,000 difference is because Pete and Libby’s were charging me for “premium spark plugs” and a gasket that they said was not listed on the slip from VW. I don’t need premium spark plugs…I feel comfortable with whatever the VW garage chose. I asked in my letter for my diagnostic fee back due to the variance in price but no offer was received. The other difference between shops is the warranty. VW garage warrants 12 months/12,000 miles. I believe Danny said they warrant 18 months/18,000 miles. I’m all about supporting local shops and the little man but not at over $1000 price difference! I truly felt like they were trying to take advantage of me. Long story short…go for a 2nd opinion or better yet save yourself the diagnostic charge and just go somewhere else.
Scam Artists DONT GO THERE!!! They quoted me over a $1,000 of repairs that didnt even need done!!!! Said they help finance, Im sure you would!!! They should be shut down. They need looked in to by the Better Bussiness Bureau that I will be filling sending them a detalied paper that they printed off to me saying what all needed repaired, and didnt. Also, where took my vehicle in & got the promblem fixed under $50.00!!!! This caused me a lot of stress, depression, & worries where I didnt feel safe driving my car bcuz of thier lies. I feel something should be done legally about this too. Who knows who else they might try to do this too.
Best shop in town by far I would recommend them to anyone
Terrible customer service
