A very experienced mechanic that doesnt half finish his work
Mike was very helpful in locating a special model of marine battery for me.
My wife and I drove down from northern Illinois for a week of bass fishing but had an alarm go off the first day on our old Mercury. I googled the area and found great reviews for Mike Miller’s and he was open on Saturday . He took us right in and found out my water pump was shot. I asked if he had the part and if he could tune her up while he had her in there and he said yes sir and got right on it and had us back on the water in no time. Mike is not only a great mechanic but even a greater person. Thanks again Mike.
To be honest the place looks a mess. The guys there were super friendly and the guy behind the desk knew more about my motor and did not try to up sale me something i did not need i will be returning to get my boat fixed his labor price was a lot cheeper then everywhere Ive been and he knew what he was talking about i knew i found a honest repair shop .
Traveling through Vero Beach on my sailboat and only intended to stay one day until we found an oil leak. I contacted Michael Miller and he returned my call right away and was very professional even though he could not help me in person. I eventually found the cause of the leak and it was a part that he had. I offered to walk to his shop to get it from him but he insisted on delivering it, he sent one of his guys. And then, get this… He called me the next day to see how I made out! I would highly recommend Michael Miller in the future to anyone that needs a diesel mechanic!
I really don’t know where to start to say that customer service is his top priority even though he closed at 2pm on the internet ... He stated that he would still be there working around in the shop he gave me some few things to take with me as far as grease parts diagram so I could do the work myself to save money. I’m a person that usually doesn’t go to the extent of leaving reviews but this man deserves all business regarding your boat and Marine services!!
I bought my boat used and previous owner used mike miller and the boat ran so well that I knew that’s where I would always take it! However mike gave me an estimate for a repair and when I went to pay it was over 100$ more so I feel I should have been called beforehand and when I went to pay Leah his wife was so awful rude to me and said well that’s what it is. Guess business is so good there they can just give customers the boot for being upset with the bill. And let me say I was in no way rude back I actually stepped out and was in tears and sent my mother into deal with her so I didn’t run my mouth to her.
If youre looking for a trustworthy, reliable, efficient shop to bring your boat to, look no further. Mike and Leah are are fantastic. couldnt be happier with the service my boat and I received. From pricing to communication everything was excellent. When i picked up my boat they drove me too the ramp with the boat to water test before i took delivery also keep in mind this was at like 7 oclock at night . who does that ? they have earned my business and referrals for life. very very pleased. thanks again for everything .Tim Z.
Realized had a major fuel system problem 2 weeks before family Keys trip. Couldnt get in anywhere on such short notice. An acquaintance of a family member recommended Michael and Leah. They took us in, did an extensive troubleshooting and found much more than I wanted to find! Work was done as promised, within the estimate, boat runs great couldnt be happier! Would not hesitate to recommend The Millers to anyone that needs any type of marine service. Sure bailed us out!
Brought my 22 seahunt there and not only did he take care of my service quick but he gave me tips on ways to keep my engine in good shape. This was the first time that I was told a certain time the boat would be done, it was not only on time but early. I actually waited 50hrs of engine run time before reviewing the company. Engine is running perfect. Great experience with this mechanic
I was referred to Michael Millers Marine Service by Whiticar Boat at Harbortown Marina.Let me say this, it was a great referral, and it has been a great experience. Without a doubt, Michael gives the same attention and service to my 5 horsepower outboard as he does to the big guys. This motor has worked the full year, from the Bahamas to the Gulf of Maine and back to the Bahamas. Probably the most reliable piece of equipment on my sailboat. All thanks to Michael and his work.My thanks to both of them,Sincerely,Dan Mp.s. did I mention Leah is a sweet heart too?
Good price and great customer service
Brought my little 15’ Jon boat down to Mike to give my 20hp Suzuki tiller some TLC. Turns out the motor had a lot of issues that needed repair. Mike provided me with detailed photos of everything that needed attention, and informed me very accurately of what things would cost. Mike is an extremely knowledgeable mechanic and and runs a very fair business. He treated my little motor like it was his own. He paid very special attention to every detail and went above and beyond to make sure it ran perfectly and reliably.Do not hesitate to bring your engine in for Mike to take care of. You won’t get business like this anywhere. He’s the real deal.
Mike did a terrific job on my boat. Fast efficient and very fairly priced. I had went through two of the local marine mechanics who could never get my boat running right and I am talking about multiple attempts and a lot of money. Mike did it the first time and it has been running smoothly for almost a year and a half.I highly recommend him.
12/2019 I had a problem with engine surging and was referred to Michael. I asked him to do whatever needed to repair the surging. I may have agreed up to $1000 of other needed maintenance. After waiting for an extended period of time and spending $2700 I recvd the unit and launched only to experience the engine shaking, knocking no power and the smell of raw fuel. Seemed to be in worse shape then when I took him the unit. I called and texted Michael a sound recording of the engine running at the pier. He told me not to run it and return it to him. After another $300 I launched the unit for a second time with no change. I texted him And sent a letter after the second time of bad service never to hear from him again.I couldn’t afford any more repairs. So I googled till I fixed my own engine. I found one bad injector and the timing off causing a exhaust valve to be out of time. Currently runs like new.Michael is a parts changer.
Let’s just start by saying I have been dealing with boat mechanics for a while. Never have I met two people with more knowledge, skills, and integrity than Michael and Leah. From their positive attitudes to their above and beyond customer service I will never go to another shop but theirs!! They are 3.5 hours away and I will still make the trip. Not only that, I bought a boat from them, and at a great price. It is the boat my family has been looking for but couldn’t afford, the Millers made this happen for us!! Then when I made a mistake a burnt the impeller, they drove to my house and fixed it!! I’m beside myself that there are people that trustworthy still around. If you ever need a mechanic or someone to go with you when you purchase your next boat, you simply must call them. I not only gained a mechanic I can trust, I feel like part of their family, and they are certainly part of ours!!!!
BOAT OWNERS BEWARE! 1. Get a written estimate before you let Mike Millers Marine perform any work on your boat. I did not and it cost me more than double of what I was told. Let me state without doubt no other work was done to justify their additional charges. Nor was I told before hand that I would incur additional charges. 2. After I got my boat back the very first time I put it in the water it broke down and then I find out from a different repair company that it was the same problem that Mike and Leah Miller said was repaired. So now I have to pay again to have it fixed. More money. 3. While my boat was at Miller Marine I had 2 brand new aft boat seats and bow cushions that were still in the box and on my boat which turned up missing. Mike and Leah Miller will not take responsibility even though my boat was in their shop and under their control. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable marine repair shop.
I cannot say enough about Mike and Leah, my boat needed repairs ASAP as I was down visiting my parents and they fixed it SAME day even tho they were 3 months booked, saved my vacation! They are some of the kindest people I have ever met, I would highly reccomend them to anyone and if I need my boat fixed in the area again they’re who I will be trusting to fix my boat. God bless them!
I had a steering issue on my 28-foot Pursuit Mike was able to resolve the issue in half a day at a very reasonable cost. Not only was the work done properly but he identified other issues that were related to my steering issue I highly recommend him. He is a rare bird indeed and honest Beyond reproach
My husband (also a Mike) and I are fairly new to the Sebastian area by two years and did not have a clue where to take our newly purchased 30 year old pontoon boat to service our motor and repair wiring, lights and a few other necessary updates. After reading all the 5 star reviews...ALL 5 star (except one obviously disgruntled human being) we made an appointment with Mike & Leah. God is good and led us to them. Never have we witnessed such hard working and caring people. Thank you both so much for taking care of not only our Toon....but us as well! We look forward to seeing you both again.
If you need a mechanic and found this website do not go any further.Once you see the boats that Mikeworks on in his yard you will know that this guy is a MECHANIC.I previously took my boat to a socalled mechanic on Dixie Hwy. NearOslo road, it was a total disaster.Mikes priceses are fair and he is ahonest guy. Gives a detailed list of what might be wrong and what isentailed to complete the work. IfI should have any further problemsI will go back to Mike Miller withoutquestion.
Mike and Leah are 2 wonderful people, if I had to come up with one negative thing to say all I could do would be to say they care too much about their customers. There was a small delay in getting my boat back after leaving it for repairs, and they were more upset about the delay than I was. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have their own personal boat mechanic and shop as that is how they make you feel.Outstanding locally American owned small business. We all need to use companies like Mike Millers Marine KEEP AMERICA GREAT BY MAKING GREAT AMERICANS!!!!
Michael is very hard working and knowledgeable. I had a complicated issue with a 30KW generator, he was very persistent in resolving the problem. I have owned large boats for over 25 years and have therefore have come to know a lot of mechanics, some good, and many not so good. Michael is excellent. His wife Leah kept me informed every step of the way. Both great people.
I went to Michael’s yesterday to look for cables & hinges & get some ideas for installing a turtle ramp on a 5x6 floating turtle dock I want to put in the lake behind my home. (I figured a marine place was where to go.) The first guy I met was super pleasant, & then the real deal — Michael — appeared. They both were soooo helpful, & even tho they didnt have what I needed, Michael told me where to go to get what would work. Since the place is next to Kelley’s, one of my favorite Vero haunts, I’ll go there today! Kudos to two great men who tried to help this ‘old lady’ with her turtle dock. In the sweltering heat, they took their time to listen & give me ideas! If I had a boat, I’d bring it here! Thanks, Michael. 🇺🇸
The fastest and most affordable service in Vero. The mechanic is a true master at the trade. I recommend Michael Miller for all your boating services.
It’s hard to move to a new town and find a boat mechanicI was referred to mike by 2 vendors in sebastians boating worldMike offered a very fair price stayed in touch with me when he found other things wrong !After 2 months It’s Still a Hugh pleasure to have confidence with my optimax being 20 miles offshore Runs as good as newMaybe mike can fix wife !
Michael has kept my boat in top shape for 3 years! He is very responsible, cost conscious, and expert in his work. I have a 22 Pathfinder and a 17 year old son with lots of friends, so at one time or another everything, from the Yamaha 150 lower unit to all of the bells and whistles, has been repaired or replaced. Sometimes at his shop and sometimes at my dock. Millers Marine is absolutely FIRST-RATE! When the dealer failed, he was there to keep us on the water. Big Thank You to Michael and his team
I brought my boat to Michael Miller Marine Service and that turned out to be a very costly mistake. I was a small business owner for over 25 years. If I looked my customer in the face and give them a quote that is the cost. If unforeseen circumstances arise I would most certainly inform them before I would do any additional work. That is not the case with Mike and Leah Miller. My costs more than doubled. And if you do not pay them guess what they keep your boat. You are stuck. Very shady business practices.
Took our boat and motor in for repair. Always tells you the needed repair and the cost, up front. Knowledgeable and honest!
Michael serviced my Yamaha 250 hp 4-stroke engine recently. Unlike most mechanics performing routine yearly service, he went through the entire engine and boat and identified many potential future problems. He discussed each issue with me and I made informed decisions on which to address. Adding to the challenge, my boat lift broke (electrolysis destroyed two main vertical I-beams). Michael, his assistant, and even his wife, all helped me get my boat safely off the lift. They also prepped the new beams with an epoxy coating and a top coat of bottom paint.I believe they did an excellent job and provided a very high level of service. I recommend them highly.
I brought my boat to Mike after several other boat mechanics in the area failed to find the particular problem I was having with my boat. Mike not only found the problem, he offered me several suggestions to fix it. I wasnt real sure which option to go with, so Mike urged me to go with the simplest fix which, surprisingly, was also the cheapest fix.Mike and Leah are responsive, responsible and honest. What more could you ask for in a boat repair shop? Or, any shop, for that matter.Give them a call, you wont be sorry.
I work for Michael and Leah Miller and I can honestly say they are folks who really care for their customers. I really enjoy working for them. We have a great team of expert mechanics and a friendly family environment.
I recently had my boat serviced by Mike Miller Marine. I took it to him with a steering issue. In a very short time he had it fixed and also did an inspection of all the equipment, trim tabs, navigation lights, bilge pump, and fuilds in the motor without being asked. He found a couple potential issues that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. The last place that serviced my motor over filled the engine oil and did not change the lower unit oil. Mike and his team are an outstanding and caring group of individuals. Mike took customer service to a new level when he called to see if I was happy with everything and how the boat was running. Thank you,
Im the mechanic that been falsely slandered. This person John Olson who cannot be found by The Vero City Marina. Nor Michael Miller Marine. He is a fictitious person that has slandered my name. And falsely accused me. Which cost me my job. Hope youre happy!. That being said, I am a. Christian man. I do not steal. The word of God tells me to ask and it shall be given to you. Thats what I do when I am in need. The Lord always provides for me because He loves me. I Dont need to steal. Proverbs 30: 7-9 I live knowing my Father always provides for me. Michael knows this also. I asked Michael Miller for an outboard motor before I asked him for a job. And he gave me a Yamaha 5 HP for free. That is his heart. He and his wife Leah are also Godly people. People that run an honest company that strive for excellence and integrity. They go above and beyond other marinas standards. We pray at lunch and we pray for Gods guidance with all our customers. The person that posted this remark is a shadow person that no courage to confront the accused. Jesus Christ laid down His life for as an example of what were to do for those we love. And although I feel there is growing in Christ needed here I will lay down my life for this company. Michael is the best mechanic I have ever been around. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I feel as though Ive lost my best friend. Please do not allow this evil person to effect your decision to hire Mike as youre choice of marine repair. Youll never be given a more fair estimate or attention to detail and quality of workmanship as Michael Miller Marine.
I would totally trust this shop to do right by you. Michael has gone above and beyond to help me and to make sure I knew I could call him with any questions... and, since this is my first boat, Ive had plenty. Great people!
My boat was not running, so i found mikes . mike is and excellent mechanic my boat had many issues and he explained each one to me, with the ones needing service first, he gave me a complete list of items needing repair, and let me choose witch one s i could afford at that time.took the boat to the keys for a 4 day weekend, boat ran great, mike called and asked how it did the next week . i will be bringing it back to him for all future repairs.
OMG, Michael and Leah have been a god send when it comes to ensuring my 1999 Sportcraft is in tip top shape, ready for the demands of going offshore. Michael not only fixed what I needed, but he took the time to do an extensive inspection and developed a punch list of items I need to get done in the future. If you’re looking for a mechanic who gets the job done right the first time, then don’t hesitate to give Michael and Leah a call.
Excellent service
The employees of this company are one of the most friendly individuals you have to meet I went in with a question about a kayak and I left with professional advice thank you so much just for letting me feel welcomed and also more important for the advice thank you thank you thank you
They have always been great with me and my boat. Whenever Im getting ready to come use the boat Michael makes sure everything is running great! Very reliable!!!!
I would not take my boat anywhere else in Vero. Great service and high quality work. Honest and fair.
Did right by us // Mike has a wonderful ability to visualize problems and come up with solutions. We had logistical complications on our job and the project extended beyond foreseeable time tables and he busted his butt and put in serious hours to stick with us to make sure the outcome was correct. Electric / diesel / steering = he does it all.
Michael just repowered my 22ft SeaPro after the motor was stolen while it was in storage. Found me a low hour Yamaha 4 stroke and installed it repairing all of the issues created by someone cutting a motor off the transom of a boat. I am currently telling everyone I know if they have an issue with their boat to go see him, funny thing is as I do I am finding out most of my friends use his services too.Thank You Michael for getting us back on the water again and doing a first class job.
Excellent people!
I have never written a google review (maybe I should more often) but felt compelled to do so after miller marines service today. For the past almost six years millers has serviced eight of our boats. Some of that service has been at their shop and the rest mobile - including a 7:15am Saturday battery delivery at a dock. We have had everything from hourly services to a complete repower with all new steering. All of those services have been stellar. However the events of today were far beyond- this afternoon (Sunday), my youngest (and only daughter) at four years old, and I were out on the River in a boat we recently picked up. The bimini came loose so I stopped to reattach. The boat stalled and would not restart. I checked all systems and figured out I did not have spark and there must be an issue with the safety neutral switch yet I could not resolve. I called millers and, as it was Sunday, I left a message. To my surprise and delight- they called me back with in a few. I sent mike some pictures- he told me what to do and within minutes my daughter and I were underway. Now that is good service - actually great service.
My 2.5 hp Merc outboard needed help. The second Merc 2.5 that has had issues!! Based on reviews took it to Michaels. From start to finish everything was top notch, with Michael himself doing the work. Showed me a glass container of my contaminated fuel and one of the watery oil that had contaminated my crank case. Then, to top everything I was only charged for one hours labor when I knew it was much more than that.Great people, and great service!!!
Expert knowledge, friendly service, I found MY marine repair service. I highly recommend Mike Miller for all of your boat repair issues, from the engine to the topside restoring.
I went in this shop to have my small outboard worked on and seen his mechanic.this guy pulled into Vero city marina asking people for money saying he was broke had no gas and was down on his luck! So we helped him. Then he decided to steal gas and other things from people was drunk everyday and was told not to come back after being found in the marina passed out drunk, and didnt even belong there i wont have someone working on my outboard who was stealing from my friends
Friendly very knowledgeable service and everyone worked great together. All around just good people I have zero regrets for taking the boat I was purchasing to them to be inspected
Dropped my boat off in a moments notice, great services, professional, courteous
