The 2 women that took my package today were unacceptably rude. Made me put some dirty fabric over my mouth and nose just to ship my package that I had already paid the shipping for. Would not give me a refund either.

The guy in this post office is always so happy. This is the best postal office I have ever visited in the past 10 years, I am able to walk away with a smile and bright mood after every visit. Thanks for the service.

Worst customer service of any place in VH. Rude, snappy and unwilling to help with anything beyond the simple transaction. I understand, everyone is busy and the job is tough, but being rude to customers is just inexcusable. Should there be this many bad comments about the post office? Probably not.

Rude staff in the office, who seem to be not willing to service their customers. This has been lasting for years, but nothing changes inspite of many people complains. Whenever I can, I try to go to another PO in order to avoid unpleasant feelings I get each time I visit this one.

All the staff, with the exception of an Asian woman named, if Im not mistaken, Bridget, are wonderful. However, due to her rudeness, impoliteness, swagger and unfriendliness, I cannot give this office a high rating.

Unfortunately I’m giving one star the staff was snappy and seemed in a bad mood. I had to take passport photos here and she hastily took one and now that I got my passport back, the picture is dark and it’s crooked....

Friendly staff. I got my work done within minutes. Ample parking too!

If you are applying for baby passport, dont plan to take your baby picture here. They take terrible pictures and convince you that its OK even if baby is closing eyes and no patience at all while taking photos and you pay 15$ which doesnt meet the photo standards for passport filing. Waste of time. No place for baby feeding too :( . Go for Walgreens they are best and closer to this location(261 W Townline Rd, Vernon Hills, IL 60061) and took pics with patience. USPS has charged me for pictures with closed eyes, i asked them to take picture right and they said they will charge another 15$ which i said yes but they took the pics again with no patience (if they take picture for babies they need to wait, like walgreens folks which they need to learn) and I have to go walgreens to get our baby picture correctly. Definitely recommend to take pictures at somewhere like Costco or walgreens before you go here, which is also cheaper than you pay at USPS.

Im working with this postal office for a few years now. Postal office staff are always very polite and professional. Never had any issues with my packages going out or in. Love to work with them!Thank you guys!

This post office can be slow going, dont get me wrong. What post office goes FAST? I have been here on multiple occasions and see the nice ladies at the front being chewed out by customers so rudely it makes my blood boil. Ive even seen a customer mildly threaten them. If you are planning on going on the post office on your lunch, plan your time accordingly so you arent rude to the front staff. They are people too.

Open on Saturdays until 3pm! Fast service. Lobby is open 24 hours and theres an Automated Postal Service kiosk for those looking to avoid the line and/or need after-hours postal services

I found the workers to be helpful, courteous and friendly. Even funny at times. The negative reviews I read previously were way off. You get out what you put in.

If I could give zero stars I would! This post office has THE WORST customer service of ANY post office I have ever been to! The people behind the counter act like it is an inconvenience for them to do their job or to help out a customer. They always argue and dont believe they should have to give me an acceptance receipt when I drop off prepaid mail- and when they actually do, they act like it is such an inconvenience for them to do so. It only takes them a minute (definitely no more than 3 minutes) to scan in my mail and let the computer print out a receipt. I have NEVER had an issue like this with any other post office- most are more than happy to print me a receipt (sometimes I dont even have to ask for one and they give it to me). Also, most other post offices are friendly to their customers and willing to help the customer with whatever they need help with- Vernon Hills post office is the complete opposite! The workers make you feel as though you are inconveniencing them by requesting anything that will make them have to do anything besides the bare minimum. I REFUSE TO USE THIS POST OFFICE EVER AGAIN!!

Was dropping off a package with pre printed shipping label and was asking for a receipt for the package. Would not do so. Was told it was the managers policy. Every other USPS office Ive used doors this with no issues.

Worst Post Office ever. What is wrong with this Asian woman. Without us (the customer) she wouldn’t have a job!!!!! She things she knows the “rules” I’ve asked for a receipt multiple times now and she constantly says “we don’t do that!” Excuse me, then why does EVERY OTHER POST OFFICE give one by request but usually they always ask and I don’t even have to ask. I’ve talked to Postmasters and District Managers and they ALL say that she is wrong. What is the world coming to!!?? I will use FedEx and UPS and MUCH as possible and give the absolute LEAST amount of business to USPS!!!!!!!!!

Worst post office I have dealt with in a long time. Lazy + rude workers..Update to previous review- 2017.Jan 2019.Theyre not delivering my accumulated mail or even resuming delivery of new mail apparently. This is after a holiday hold request ending. Ive never had this problem with any other Chicagoland post office- just Vernon Hills.Someone else said you get better customer service at wal-mart, and they are right...----2017 review.Issue #1. As a new tenant in an apartment, the mailman did not put a note on the back of the mailbox stating the new persons last name and apartment number.That type of thing is usually done by the postal mail delivery, not the person renting the unit. I had filled out a USPS move request in a timely manner, prior to move in. The mail carrier should have done it as soon as they received the change of address.In light of this, the mailman tried to return a package (as an unknown recipient) that was to correctly sent to me at the new address. It took a call from the USPS to finally get things right and get it delivered.Issue #2. They didnt scan or ship my pre-paid priority mail package, until 24 hours after it was dropped off. It was dropped off the previous day, prior to close of business. It should have been scanned and shipped that evening. This is unacceptable. You put a 2 day time frame on the label, get it there in 2 days. Get it scanned in to the system the day it is dropped off.Issue #3. Counter staff is rude. Shes Asian- probably the same woman that others are commenting about. Dont know if they are short of staff in the back, but her customer service is the worst.I may be taking my packages to a different USPS off to be shipped, well see... not very happy so far.

Send international mail a year or so ago with valuables the recipient never received it I was calling many times went in person at the office they told me we cant do anything, really? Should of get a $100 at least of the insurance of the mail but no the answer was we cant do anything no tracking no explanation, nothing!I will never use them again.

Im visiting my daughter, Placed an order thru Amazon. for a Sunday Delivery I Just received a Notice of a delivery attempted but the Business is Closed. This is not a business but a single family dwelling. They are back to their old ways again.

Well the lines 30 people deep at one oclock. With only 3 clerks in the whole place.. Around here Walmart has better customer service...

The Asian chinese postman is the best postman, very friendly.He never throw the package instead he patiently knock the door.thank you so much Sir.You are a good man.More blessing to you and your family.

Worst customer service. Specially the older Asian lady was a complete A hole. Today she gave me crp because she was unable to scan the bar code on my package, so she had to manually input it and I also asked for a drop off receipt which they didnt even give me one. I inquire about another package I dropped off 2 weeks ago. The Asian old lady told me to drop off my 12oz first class package in the drop box 11 days ago, yet it hasnt been scanned. Today I asked to the speak to the supervisor, this other light skin A hole lady instead of having a friendlier attitude she was yelling at me Explaining to me her made up package policy. I was way too tired to argue so I just stood there until I actually saw on my phone online that the package was scanned other wise, lazy old Asian lady mightve drop it off in the drop box and wouldnt never made it to its destination. Im never coming back here.
