Was a loyal customer for many years even referred clients. Not anymore. Called and the the rate was lower when we arrived after driving an hour and they wouldnt even honor the posted rate on the window. Surprised a life long customer would be treated this way.

Very poor experience. A sell woman saw my driver license card and she still asked me for my occupation. Avoid this company.Update:The sell woman asked for my occupation and she insisted no service if no answer so I just walked away. The store replied that its their KYC. LOL be aware NOT to provide your private personal info. to them.

Vancouver Bullion and Currency Exchange has the best exchange rates in town. With almost no Canadian credit cards offering 0% foreign transaction fees, I stock up on foreign currency at VBCE before I travel.The lineups can be long at times but I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes. Worth waiting because the rates are that good!

Ive used VBCE several times to exchange Canadian Dollars for British Pounds, Euros, and Mexican Pesos. Their service has been fantastic every time, and the exchange rates they provide are much better than any bank. I would highly recommend you use them for your next international trip!

Efficient service. Retail rates for smaller cash transactions are better than the banks and you can get major currencies on the spot rather than having to order and pick up a few days later like some banks.

Terrible rate on recent exchange! Worse than my credit card. Maybe theyre good if you have a business account.. but as a walk-in, I did not get that experience.

Started using VBCE online to send money to my US bank account when I had a house in Arizona. When I sold the house they were a very efficient way to bring that US money back to Canada. I still use them whenever I need foreign money. You can actually phone them and talk to a real person!

Service is good. You can exchange money, buy gold, silver, and platinum bullion even after 2pm Pacific time when Toronto is closed. Scotiabank shuts down at 2pm and can’t get the bullion same day.

Got totally ripped off exchanging from Canadian to Vietnamese Dong. I mistakenly paid before confirming the exchange rate and lost a good portion of my money to Bullion for a five minute transaction. When I got to Vietnam the exchange rate for Canadian money was much much more favorable at the banks. I will never use or recommend using Bullions services again.

Friendly service and I appreciate the express line available for large purchases. The regular lineup can get long.

Competitive rates for buying USD with CAD. However, VBCE does not offer the best rates for other currencies. I have found better rates when bringing CAD cash overseas to buy HKD, JPY, and KRW. In most cases though, VBCE offers better rates than many foreign exchange kiosks at airports but it stops there. My recommendation is to buy what is needed for transportation and short-term costs until you can do the bulk of your currency conversion at your final destination. I will not post competitors here but you can read my review history for a few ideas.

This compay operates in a seemingly unregulated financial niche but ought to be checked out by the governing body- FICOM or whatever it might be- I sent them a wire to change funds into another currency and they produced a fake transaction confirmation- later they admited they never sent the outgoing wire! Im not sure if they hedge with clients money (hoping the exchange rate would move so they can collect a bigger spread?) In any case they lied to me and falsified wire confirmations. As a result my transfer was delayed at least 3 business days (holiday on top of that came that weekend). The company denied wrongdoing, but offered free wires in the future. Since I had to send a quick transfer to Europe, I asked to confirm they they will waive the fee but Fayyaz from VBCE refused to honor the offer and requested $25. Being in transit I had little time looking for other service providers, and after wiring them funds, they refused me service. This will cause more delays as they said they would return the funds. They are now holding my money hostage and there have been no updates the whole day. Dishonest, unprofessional and deceiving business practices to say the least. Will most certainly avoid and contact the authorities to investigate their in-house policies. I do wonder if the funds wired to them are insured- probably not. OH and note the FIVE STARS the company gave themelves. Classy.

The correspondence of the staff was good.The key rate was about $ 0.5 per 10,000 yen at the other two nearby stores.The special offer at Tourist Map Vancouver was $ 0.00001. Convert 100,000 and get 1 dollar ...I looked around 4 other shops in the area, but the gastown collectable inc, which is a few minutes walk from here, had the best rate. Its not crowded and I recommend it. (HP rates are different from the actual ones, so it is recommended to go directly)
