B & L Car Care saved my bacon when I was staying in Vancouver for a weekend and had issues with my car overheating. They were able to replace my radiator on short notice, which allowed me to get home on time. Jim at B & L is definitely a straight shooter, will tell you exactly whats what and no sugar-coating or empty promises. Also, people of the world, if youre not getting your radiator flushed on a regular basis this will happen to you too eventually. :)

I started taking my 01 Audi S4 to B&L probably around 2012-ish.Since that time Ive had rmv/repl work for Radiator, Water-Pump, Timing-Chain/Belt, various Engine Diagnostics & Tune-up, estimates for brakes, suspension, steering and transmission work, along with common Oil changes, filters, Battery inst., charging system eval, (elec.) window regulator repl., etc..Jim was always - as another reviewer called him - a straight shooter. Im usually a good judge of character in a pinch, but the years as a customer have confirmed my initial impressions - hes just a GOOD GUY. Hes always been more than fair, and has put in the effort to make things easier, less expensive, and well understood - every time - despite being very busy, as a reputable shop will be. Bottom-line, I trust Jim. He values his clients, and clearly respects our trust. I _know_ that if there was something they believed another shop would be better at (I honestly cant imagine it, but there might be some quirky make/model vehicle(?)..), rather than expressing any false bravado, theyd offer to refer me elsewhere - explaining the reasoning, risks or whatever. I trust B&L, and especially Jim, completely - 9+ years as a customer has proven them honest and reliable (I wonder if Jims value, in terms of customer care and retention, is fully appreciated - hope so).Best of all, at B&L they KNOW THEIR STUFF.. they dont spend repair-hours with excessive experimental/investigative digging. Theyre internet-saavy, and know how to find the info they need if theres any question/doubts. Theyre a smart, experienced staff who clearly work as a team as well as in isolation whichever is called for.First time I brought my S4 to em, spent a few minutes chatting about the Audi S4 (as a semi-retired engineer, I knew the designs, details and quirks for the S4, pretty well - but with a disability, doing my own works far harder than it once was (not to mention special diagnostic & etc tools required for repair of modern imports) when we met, it was clear that Jim and his staff had done their research as well as having had experience with Audi and other imports.They always call to discuss findings before diving in and Jim is quick to offer helpful advice, including other services as hes well familiar with local business, tow-services, auto-glass shops, etc..Its been awhile since I non-opd the Audi, so havent had repair or even service needs for a couple years, but - B&L are definitely the only Auto Repair service for my vehicles.

Absolutely THE BEST mechanic shop weve ever been to. They are honest, thorough, accurate, stand by their work, and work with me. They also give me amazing and fair deals and keep good notes for next time. I was referred by a friend at work a couple years ago and would (and do) recommend them to everyone in turn!! 11 out of 10!!

Ive been taking my rigs to Jim for over 6 years now and have been nothing but happy with the work and the expense. Hes fair and knowledgeable. You wont find price gouging here or shifty tactics trying to up sell you on work you dont need done. I appreciate his honesty and the quality work we receive.Wanted to update my review after I noticed a great feature that another review mentioned. B & L keeps a history of all work done on each vehicle which comes in handy when its time to get certain maintenance tasks done or if a part is still under warranty. Not every shop keeps meticulous records like B & L.

This shop was recommended to me by a friend and having taken my wifes Explorer there and explaining to Jim the owner what the issue was he was up front what it would cost to repair it and if anything else popped up he would call me before continuing. After the work was complete the bill was what he said it was with no surprises. Very honest and highly recommended.

I’ve always been leary of the automotive service Industry. So much so, I often take on the work myself where possible. Faced with a possibly terminal failure of my vehicle, I took my truck over to Jim on the recommendation of some family friends. Not only was the price reasonable, Jim and his staff were incredibly diligent and thorough with the repair. Being an automotive engineer I recognized his straightforward assessment of the situation and really appreciated this. I have had bad experiences with well known auto repair, so I was very much afraid to take my car to any auto repair shops.I had to get the rear breaks replaced, but it was something that I couldnt do by myself. I used Google maps to find shops in my area, and got 5 different estimates. One of the estimates came from B&L CAR CARE. I spoke with Tom, and decided to give him the job.I must say that I am very, very happy with the work B&L has done, and I will bring my car to them when it needs work done.

Several years ago my heater core died so they replaced this for me. I then have had trouble with my wiper motor replaced this but its still acting up not their fault they ordered yet another motor and putting this in Friday. I am thrilled to have someone I trust working on my car.

We had a problem with our vehicle and it wasn’t an easy fix but Jim worked on it and got the vehicle running like a champ. He is very helpful and has good prices.

Ive been going here for a few years for oil changes and repairs. Ive only ever had one bad experience, and it was something out of their control (a machine shop messed up). They bent over backwards to make things right and ensure I was happy in the end.
