Doctor Grant from The Appliance Hospital called us about 15 minutes before arriving to confirm the issue we were having with the new filters. Our new LG refrigerator needed its first water filter change. He confirmed on a second call that we did have the correct filters and would be arriving shortly. After calls to LG and doing everything he could think of, he figured out the problem by himself. The receptacle in the refrigerator had been turned too far at the factory and would not accept the new filter. He was able to rotate the receptacle internally to the point it would now accept the new filter.I highly recommend Doctor Grant. He was very respectful, good natured, observed all the Covid guidelines and is a genius to have narrowed down the issue and make the correction. If we ever have another appliance issue there is no doubt we will call The Appliance Hospital.
I made an appointment 10 DAYS AGO to have Appliance Hospital come out to see why my washer is not working. They were supposed to come out to our house tomorrow. I received a message this morning on my cell saying they’ve cancelled my appointment because the part they think I need has not come in. I immediately called them and said we don’t know that a part is actually needed and I’d still want the technician to come and assess and possibly fix the problem as there is no proof that a new part is needed. They said, “too late!”. The appointment time was given away. I vociferously complained that I want my appointment back but they refused to put me back on the books and said I’d have to wait another 10 days for a new appointment. I asked to speak to the management and was abruptly told no one was going to take my call at this point and that they would simply put me on a cancellation list. It was a HORRIBLE way to treat a customer. They should have uncancelled my appointment and apologized to the person who took my slot. I will NEVER call for their help again. This is not the way to treat a customer. And I’m now left without a washer for another 10 days. Shame on Appliance Hospital.
On 06/14/2021, I have an appointment to repair a brand new Whirlpool refrigerator purchased on 04/01/2021. The technician asked to borrow a hair dryer from my tenant, left it running to the melt the ice that built up inside the refrigerator. The technician was going to leave and told my tenant to let the hair dryer runs for 4 hours, leave the refrigerator door opened. My tenant was not comfortable and she did not want to loose her perishable items in it. They got into a verbal fight, the technician verbally insulting her saying she is just a kid, does not know ho the appliance works. She was very upset that she had to ask him to leave the house. It was unreal, the ack of professionalism or customer service. There was no reason to say words that hurt or harm customers feelings. The technician could have just do his job and leave without getting into an altercation with a customer. The goal was to have the refrigerator repaired and worked again. The Appliance Hospital should be some sorts of training for their technicians to not harass, offend, intimidate customer while on a service call.
Kyle in Bend, OR was professional, quick and kind. Explained the problem, had the replacement parts necessary and promptly made the fix. What more could you ask for? Thanks Kyle!
A year and a half ago we purchased a new home and bought the upgraded Bosch appliances. The oven broke right from the start. We had Freds out to do the repair 4 times but it took months in-between services and it never has worked this whole time but maybe for a day or two. We complained to Bosch over and over and they finally canned Freds (after a 1 1/2 years) and called this company to do the repairs. This company did not string us along, they came when they said they would and were very detailed in there paperwork and the job itself. Freds literally took months in between repairs because they said the parts were 2 or 3 months out, this company was 2 weeks after they ordered the parts back at our house and doing the work. Im hoping this finally is the end to these issues, its been to long to go without a oven. Thank you Jeff and Angel for a terrific job!!
Terrible experience with APPLIANCE & REFRIGERATOR HOSPITALHad them out On June 9 to inspect our fridge for some noise and light switch issue. After inspection they ordered some parts for me and scheduled an appointment for July 9th. It was confirmed, but no technician showed up during the 3 hr window, so I called a half hour later in case he was running late, and was told that indeed I was on the schedule and that he was probably running late. Another 30 mins. later the office called and said the technician had called them that morning to say he wasnt going to come out but it didnt alert the office to contact me. They then proceeded to tell me the next appointment available was August 16th.So, they decide to not come out on the appointment day and then put you at the back of the line? Um...push everyone else back an hour or 2 and put me down for the first appointment the following day then!!!Complete waste of time and money spent on this company. DO NOT USE!!!
I am extremely disappointed in the customer service (more like DIS-SERVICE) and responsiveness of this company. Our ASKO washer stopped working 2 weeks ago. Since AH is the only ASKO certified repair company, we called. Our first appointment was 5 days from the call, but OK. When the tech came, he said he would need to order parts (motor brushes), which he told me WERE available. But the first day that he could come back to install them was 8 days later (June 16).On the day he was scheduled to install the new parts, we were told he would be here between 1 and 4 pm. At 4:15 I called the office and was told he would be here around 5. At 6:30 he called and said he wasnt coming, but would try to reschedule. No Show. The next day, no one called to reschedule so I called the office to find out what time he was coming. I was told he was fully booked, but he would be available on JULY 7 !!!! Im supposed to wait another 3 weeks for them to install the parts that were available on June 5. UNBELIEVABLE! Ive been without my washer for 2 weeks, and now I need to wait 3 more weeks to use it.I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, but was told they were too busy. She would ask them to call me. So far Im still waiting for a call.I cant believe their attitude. Obviously, customers are NOT AT ALL important to them! We are at their mercy, since they are the only authorized servicer in the area.Extremely disappointing and frustrating......
Worst service ever. Don’t even deserve a star. We have been without our washing machine for over 3 months now. First time tech came out just looked at it and didn’t do anything. Second tech came out about a month later and didn’t have the parts he needed to fix it so he had to order more parts. Third tech came out about 3 weeks later and still didn’t have the right parts and had to reorder. Then the fourth time they were supposed to come out 3 weeks later, the tech called in sick and they rescheduled for another 3 weeks. Once again the tech called in and had to reschedule for another 3 weeks out. Been over 3 months without a washer and will be at least another 3 weeks if they can fix it then.
We have been waiting for the issue to be resolved with our brand new Beko refrigerator 5 months. Only once when we were told someone would call us back did we actually receive a call. And then it was only to tell us that they have no update. Finally last week I was told it was escalated to a manager and they would call be back the next day. That was last week. I would not use this company for any appliance repair and I will not buy an appliance from any company who relies on this company for its service.
Did not fix problem. purposly refused to aknolege problem of bearing out.
Dan was just the nicest guy, enjoyed chatting with him while he fixed my washer! Would recommend and use again!
I had two very old appliances which broke within a month of each other. In both cases their repair guy was able to quickly and accurately diagnose the problems and we talked over what could be done and he was very able to help guide my decision.Once I elected to fix both, the repairs were competently completed that same day.My only objection to Appliance Hospital is how long it takes to get through when you phone in, but if youre willing to have a cup of coffee and wait it out, its worth the wait.
Dan serviced our Dynasty oven/stove top and another great technician serviced our Subzero refrigerator/freezer. Both arrived on time, were very honest and communicative about what needed to be done, and even offered unbiased opinions about some of our other appliances if they should need servicing ( as in, dont call us on this one - its not worth it.) WOnderful people, great to work with.
Unbelievably bad service. New range did not work and technician told us that it was our house wiring. Licensed electrician traced the problem to wiring within the range that could have burned down our house and which requires the range to be disconnected from power. Whirlpool agreed, but Appliance Hospital cancelled the follow-up appointment and wants us to wait another two weeks for service. So were without a stove for at least a month and Appliance Hospital is nonresponsive.
I was told by LG Refrigeration that the repair of my LG refrigerator was sanctioned only by Appliance Hopital in my area. In the beginning, I was asked if I wanted to wait for the Senior technician, it would take from the very first week of November that I had to wait until December 15, 2020. This was a waiting period of 1 1/2 Months to work on my refrigerator. Lets be clear, NO REFRIGERATOR for 1 1/2 MONTHS. How would you feel if it would be you? Could anyone want to wait for THAT LONG to have a refrigerator. ALSO, how would you like to lose ALL YOUR FOOD, 30 BAGS, about an estimated total of $3,500.00 dollars only to be told, sorry, not my problem, thats what I heard. BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, we can send the junior tech, who is not fully trained out by his self in a couple of weeks.Lets paint this picture further, I had to be hospitalized for an 8 1/2 HOUR back surgery (84 staples and 6 incisions) without any consideration by this so advertised company as BBB certified. I checked with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and they are NOT certified by the BBB.To make this story even more interesting, and to cut to the BOTTOM LINE, it took this company SIX, thats right folks, 6 appointments that I was left to deal on my own after my surgeries. NOT A LOT OF Compassion for the person that is laid up in bed, over 65, woman that has to FEND for herself. Is this what the companies think they can put the elderly through? And also, to be yelled at, by the supervisor, Robert, The Scheduling is NOT their call because of my stress of dealing with this all on MY OWN.So if you want a lot of PERSONAL STRESS, Employees that are told to HANG UP ON CUSTOMERS if they become problematic, which they did to me too many times to count, and putting HOURS AND HOURS of your OWN TIME, cause its sure NOT APPLIANCE HOSPITALS PROBLEM, its a aging woman in her LATE 60s that was in the hospital because of the severity of her surgery for one month, then go ahead and ASK for your OWN PROBLEM, cause, guess what, as I was told by the Supervisor, ROBERT, thats exactly what youre going to get if you place a call to APPLIANCE HOSPITAL. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE, email me. I will be checking this factual read. If you leave your name, I would be more than happy to oblige and save you the trouble of what I have been put through.🤬
Wanted to charge 700+ to replace 1 year old icemaker.charged 130 for a 5 minute “do nothing” inspection. I went on youtube and discovered a 30 dollar part to replace and working perfectly. They and Whirlpool have a scam going on just out of warranty appliances....donyourself a favor and steer clear of these ripoffs.
Unfortunately this is the only company in Portland that services Sub Zero refrigerators. Waited several weeks for parts. They sent link to set up appointment when parts arrived but this link doesnt work. Multiple phone messages sent. Wait time 25 mins or more on phone. No response. Now several more weeks until technician can complete job. An infuriating company to deal with.
Waited 2 weeks for the scheduled appointment. I had to email them to confirm, because they never contacted us after scheduling. Then they called the day before and cancelled saying they were waiting for a part indefinitely and did not know when they could come do the repair. After we waited 2 weeks already! Confusing since they hadnt seen the appliance yet... when my wife called, a very nice lady apologized and promised service the following week. When that appointment came, they called 45 min before and cancelled with only the option to wait another 1.5 weeks. I understand lots of businesses are struggling right now, but this is the way to lose customers! Same situation happened 2 months ago when we tried to get service for a different appliance. Wish this wasnt a pattern for them, but it clearly is. Trying to be understanding in these hard times, but this repeated cancelling, poor communication and terrible coordination is their pattern.
EDIT: I wanted to update this to reflect that on Saturday, which I believe is a day off for them, Tammy (one of the owners) called me and apologized profusely. She told me someone would be here on Monday, as previously scheduled, to at least be able to diagnose and order parts. She was very friendly, very helpful, and didnt ask me to edit or remove this review.Monday (today) at about 9AM a really wonderful tech showed up, diagnosed and repaired my washer, and was on his way. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and just an all-around nice guy. While I still had a not-great experience with the office staff, Im going to chalk it up to 2020 being a huge hassle and everyone being on edge. I think that the company owners take pride in their establishment, and went above and beyond to make sure my family was taken care of
This is my second time using Appliance Hospital. They set their appointments, come when they say they will AND make sure Im happy with the work that was done. I have them on speed dial!
Great job fixing my washer. Technician called before arriving to let me know she was on her way. She wore a mask at all times, put on booties as soon as she entered my house and took great care to clean up after herself. Our washing machine died right after Thanksgiving. We went through the online diagnostics and did all of the DIY repairs and still couldnt get it to work. It took the technician about an hour to identify what was wrong, took the machine apart, replaced the water pump (she even had a spare in her truck- Yeah!), put everything back together, and ran several tests to make sure that the washer ran properly. She emailed me my receipt and was off to her next appointment. Very professional. I couldnt have asked for anything better. Thank you!
I have used appliance hospital a few times and each time the technician is timely and courteous. He has fixed my issue and cleaned up behind. I wouldn’t use anyone else.
Sorry but we had someone come out and couldnt fix our problem for lack of his inventory then never heard from them again. Not a good business decision so why would we contact them again? We were patient but three weeks would never get a good vote from us.
The first warranty call was with Devon and he ordered a new drain pump because the original one was not working correctly. The next call was by a woman who was rather rude and did not have foot covers so I told her another appointment would be required. The appointment was reset with Devon and he accomplished the task timely and vas very gracious and I would recommend him highly.
The worst! They came out to fix my dishwasher with a error code. The next Day I did one cycle and the code came back on. I called them back three times to try and get another appointment. A month later the guy that was supposed to come quit the company. I called twice more to get a appointment and I didn’t get one. So I called again to get my money back. I still have not gotten a call or a refund! I had to call another company to fix it.
The service technician, Grant, was very knowledgeable and respectful. Over the last 15 years, I have used Appliance Hospital to service various appliances in my house. Each technician recognizes that the cost of the initial visit and diagnosis is not insignificant, so they always ask if there are any other issues with other appliances in the house.
Serviceman arrived in a timely manner. He was courteous and knowledgeable. While my 16 year-old washing machine was not worthy of the cost to repair, he did service my refrigerator’s compressor making sure it was cleaned and in good working order.
We arranged for a non-warranty repair of our dishwasher through Whirlpool and these guys were great. I received a confirmation phone call and email a couple business days before our repair. The technician called when they were about 15 minutes out to confirm we were still available. They arrived with parts ready and everything was extremely smooth. The tech was very friendly, knowledgeable, and we really appreciate their guidance on the repairs being done.I would easily recommend these guys to anyone that needs some work done.
Jonathan was our tech, we had a stove conversion (propane to natural gas) and a washer problem, he sorted out the complex stove conversion, found a small problem with the water line on the washer, was very competent and friendly. I had to call the next day because the oven was making a funny noise, he came right over and adjusted the fuel damper, no extra charge. This was a great service, got our stove working after a move.
If you can avoid using Appliance Hospital, I would. As many others note below, they have outrageously long wait times for an appointment, they dont have parts on their trucks and dont honor appointments. My original call for service was on October 1 -- they couldnt send someone to fix my broken refrigerator until October 16. Then, they had to order parts. The parts finally came in and they were supposed to come on November 4 but the tech fell ill. Next appointment? November 16.SIX (6) WEEKS without a fridge and they couldnt seem to care a bit. If this wasnt a warranty repair, Id be going elsewhere but Im stuck and they clearly know it and exploit it.Shame on the manufacturers for building sub-par products and hiring sub-par repair services to do their warranty work.
If I could give this business ZERO stars I would. On the morning of my scheduled appointment, which had already been rescheduled once because they overbooked another day, in the window of the scheduled arrival time (8a-10a), they called to tell me their tech called off and therefore would not be coming to do the repair. Then they informed the earliest they could reschedule was two weeks from today. So Ive already been waiting for two weeks and now youre telling me its going to be another two weeks because you have no one else available to come DURING the time YOU scheduled? When I asked to talk to a supervisor, I was told that they take calls in the order in which they were received. I said Id wait, at which point I was told I could expect a call back in 48 hours. I asked again to talk to someone in management and was told there were no managers present, after just being told there was one there.Their customer service is absolutely BRUTAL. What an absolute joke of a company and the personnel there should be ashamed that they thought any of what they did today was remotely acceptable. My next call is to Maytag to relay this experience since they were the ones that recommended this business, because they should know how completely inept, unprofessional, and pathetic Appliance Hospital operates.
Timely, knowledgeable...whats more to ask for.
We needed multiple repairs to our refrigerator and each time the tech was on time, friendly and great to work with. Great costumer service.
Our dryer of 15 years stopped drying and the service we got exceeded our expectations! He not only fixed the dryer, but helped us think through if it would be better to repair or replace. And then, as a bonus even looked at our gas stove to diagnose why some of the burners were not working, and gave us a solution on how to fix it (they dont work on this particular brand). He was fast, efficient, incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Plus, since its Covid-pandemic time, he was very considerate about using a mask and distancing....will definitely use again if and when we have some other appliance blowout-which I hope is not soon!
Fortunately I bought an extended warranty when I purchased my LG refrigerator several years ago. The first repair company said that they could not repair my LG refrigerator.Appliance Hospital was the next company LG sent out. The technician, Greg, was excellent. Since it was under my extended warranty he opted to replace everything: condenser, compressor, evaporator, dryer. It took over 4 hours to complete the repair but when I the ice drop a few hours after left, I knew Greg and Appliance Hospital was an excellent choice. I am disabled -- brain injury -- and do not drive. Having a company and technician like Appliance Hospital and Greg treat me with respect AND servicing my refrigerator so its better than new is, as they say, PRICELESS! I highly recommend Appliance Hospital for appliance repair.
Great service. Initially we thought wed need to wait about a week. It was not a true emergency so we accepted that and the next morning we were called because of a cancellation. The tech was here in 15 minutes, took our entire freezer compartment apart, so many screws, fixed the problem and reassembled all of it. He was pleasant, professional, wore a mask the entire time (as did I) and solved our problem.
Our LG fridge had a defective compressor (apparently a widespread issue) and so they sent someone from Appliance Hospital. He was respectful and wore a mask the whole time, allaying my fears during this pandemic. He replaced the compressor, fan, and reprogrammed the computer all in around 2 hours. Fridge runs great now, and we didnt have to pay a dime. Fantastic. Now I just need to make a grocery run to replace all the spoiled food (dont buy lg!).
Use this company at your own risk. They do not back up what they say and are managed poorly. Inferior service, management is not up to par and cannot even fix what they broke. They decided that they would not fix the refrigerator because of their incompetence.
Weve used this company for our washers Theyve done a great job.
Appliance Hospital sent Doctor Dave to help with my LG Gas Double oven with Range which hosted a faulty ignitor and an oven that overheated even after being calibrated. I spent so long researching what kind of stove I wanted and was so happy the first time I pulled chocolate chip cookies out of the oven.Doctor Dave called ahead, showed up on time, was professional and knowledgeable and (after following-up with a call to Appliance & Refrigeration Hospital), he had put in the order for the necessary parts. He was patient with my questions, gave me information I needed to identify my oven and how to calibrate in the future and, it was very refreshing to have a helpful and knowledgeable technician in my house.Of course, we are all in the same boat as we wait for parts to come in. I knew that their offices were being swamped with phone calls and emails, but when I reached a representative (Abrey) she was polite, helpful and made the call to their distributor to find out when the parts would arrive. She took the opportunity to call back (like they said she would) and gave me the ETA on the arrival of the part and scheduled me for a tentative appointment. I can only imagine how many phone calls, email and technicians she is working with but Abrey was polite, efficient, helpful and warm. I cant say enough about this team.Recommend them highly.
Very knowledgeable service repairman. Quick, clean, PPE aware. On time & fair pricing. Will use again & again for all my appliance repair needs.
The technician called before he arrived and showed up when he said he would. He had a few tricks up his sleeve with replacing the broken belt in my dryer. He did not have to take the dryer completely apart and so it only took about 20 minutes. Very professional and friendly service.
Poor customer service in Portland, Oregon. Instead of listening to my information, Nicole told me that I didn’t know what I was talking about and hung up on me. I had to call back and talk to her again. Only to be told to called LG again and ask them to send Appliance Hospital the info they need or else I will be billed for additional work. I had already called Appliance Hospital early this morning and was told to call LG to get the information to avoid getting charged for more repair work. They didn’t tell me that I needed to ask LG to send the info directly to Appliance Hospital. My refrigerator broke down on 4/18 and a month later, I’m getting the run-around from their customer service. The Appliance Hospital technician tried to repair the refrigerator 3 days ago on 5/15, but it’s still not working. It seems like Appliance Hospital should have followed up with LG to get additional authorization if they needed it. The LG rep was confused because he said Appliance Hospital should honor their repair work for 90 days. These repairs are covered by LG warranty and I also have a Best Buy Protection Plan thankfully. I will post an update once the refrigerator is repaired or replaced. I will never spend $2,500 on an LG refrigerator again. Apparently they have had problems with the lineal compressor. The replacement parts might not be good either so I’m not upset with the technician. I just feel the customer service rep should be more courteous and professional.
Got a new refrigerator that worked for 5 days. Manufacturer sent out this company which was very professional. What I liked is that the tech that came out to diagnose was the same one that brought the parts when he came back out to fix.
Always pleasant and friendly, diagnose the problem usually within the first 5 minutes, get the part ordered and return within the week if the part is available, then return and install and we are up and running. They have always diagnosed the problem correctly and made the repair in no time. You can tell they know their stuff!
Had the same tech come out to fix a little light switch in my freezer that broke off. He came once to look at it and told me that he needs to order the part to replace it. Came out with the part...wrong part came in. Ordered another part and came out again to tell me that it was still not the right part. Came out installed the switch but its barely hold in and around the switch theres a crack now. During all this I had no ice in the middle of the summer and remodeling. He told me he will need to bring tape to tape the area. Since when do we tape a light switch?! I called and complained that i still havent heard back from the guy. The switch is hanging on loosely in my freezer. I was told he will come fix it. The guy came and did this...looks like my 3 year old took a hot gun and glued it. This all took over 6 month. You got to be kidding me!! This is what Im paying when I get a warranty on my refrigerator!!? Its a joke.
They know the products and solve the problems. I have also received helpful advice from them. They have such a good reputation that they stay very busy and there is a wait for them to come out.
Took three tries to get the right part, evidently they were sent the wrong part, so not their fault. Installed correctly and works great now.
My Daughter & Bonus Son own a LG Refrigerator/Freezer of which a lot of Service Tech do not service. I am temporarily staying with them and as luck would have it, their unit stopped working. Since both work, I volunteered to get it serviced. I was fortunate to find Appliance Hospital that was both local and serviced LGs. They scheduled an appointment quickly and the Service Tech arrived on time. What impressed me and was so important was the Techs service truck was stocked with the parts to repair the unit the same day. The Tech was professional, courteous and completed the repair quickly and we had a working unit when he left. I highly recommend calling Appliance Hospital to have your appliances serviced!!!!!
Literally the worst and most unprofessional service. They dont even have the decency to talk over the phone. This person Michelle literally yelled over the phone with some phony rules and information and hung up on me. They are also cheats. Whirlpool approved 2 new parts to be replaced for my washer. They came in and replaced only 1. And now they are like you have to get the 2nd part approved again from whirlpool. They are cheats and unprofessional bunch of people who fail to resolve problems even after multiple visits.
I bought a warranty with Whirlpool and they set up a repair for 2 weeks out. Not only did Appliance Hospital no show, but they rescheduled my appt without even contacting me for a month later. I had to call and they ended up HANGING UP on me. So unprofessional.
Absolutely 5 Star Service throughout the whole process!! I had the control board go out on my Jenn-Air oven and Jenn-Air stepped up and warrantied the part that would have cost $1000 bucks and Dwayne the Tech did a great job sourcing the part and getting it installed for me as quickly as possible. Great Job All around-No issues here folks! Id use them again....
We have had an ongoing problem with our $3K+ Kitchenaid downdraft thats just about 4 months old. Docter Jeff came to our rescue. From the beginning he has made every effort to come out as soon as possible, even on Saturday, to fix a combination of problems. He was very efficient and pleasant to work with. He explained exactly what he was doing and what he fixed, and we have complete confidence in him. Will definately use them again.
After another repair service no-showed TWICE in a week, the Appliance Hospital showed up the very next day for a warranty repair. Doctor Mark was friendly, thorough, professional, and quickly fixed my appliance. I am so grateful to Mark and to Appliance Hospital. Thank you!
Very responsive, knowledgeable and professional service and support. I’ve used this service/team before and would use them again.
Was able to get to us within a week to diagnose and then quickly fix the issue. Very professional and friendly.
Prompt, efficient service to troubleshoot potential problem with a newly installed washer/dryer. Technician was knowledgeable and explained specifics about the unit. I would call on them again in the future.
The technician Dan came by and fixed our stove/oven. He was able to diagnosis and fix the problem in 20minutes or less. This guy is super knowledgable and knows his stuff!! Utilize him for any appliance needs!!
Call any other repair service that Appliance Hospital. Our refrigerator (under warranty) hasnt been working for over a month after the tech came out. Tech never talked to the manufacturer, no parts ordered, no followup from Appliance Hospital despite four separate calls to them where promises were made to check into it and call right back. Its amazing this place is still in business. Dont use them at all costs!
My rental property needed a refrigerator water filter replacement. It appears they discovered a faulty diode in the ice making wiring harness and replaced the harness. They charged $92.45 for one filter & today I found two online sites selling them for $49.95 and $49.99. The wiring harness was $58.93. Hard to believe the filter was so much more than a wiring harness. They charged $254 labor for $405 total. Seems awfully pricey, I wouldnt recommend them.
I want to give a shout out of kudos to Anthony in the customer service dept. Ive been waiting some time for a hinge to be replaced on my range. When I called to check on the status Anthony saw that the part was never ordered. He did what he had to on his end, called me back by days end to give me an update and also called me the next morning to provide me with more detailed information. I appreciate the follow up as this is a testimonial to excellent customer service skills!!! Thanks Anthony.
Professional staff and service people. Easy to get ahold of and work was good quality.
The worst, I have been waiting a month to get my oven fixed! A month with 3 kids and now that they have the part they dont call me I have to call them and they push me out another week and a half. I cant cook Thanksgiving for my family now, if I could give them negative stars I would.
APR has been out at our new home several times in the last two months, fixing those terrible move in issues. All times theyve been professional, courteous, and resolved the problem. Today, they performed a minor miracle in investigating a Wolf Range Hood that sounded like a jet engine when it was in use. Everyone told us it was just a commercial grade fan and wed have to live with it. But Doug and Steve removed the motor and found that the baffle unit wasnt able to open, therefore causing much of the noise! Its much quieter, and we cant thank them enough. KUDOs to them. Also, I feel like I know all of the support team at APR, including Ashley and Alissa, and they were fabulous as well. Thanks!
After coming out and opening the door to the refrigerator and not finding a serial number they said they cant work on it. They also said they could not find the model #. Its on the front of the unit!@@ wow how lame are you. why not slide the unit out and look a little harder. Or look at the part thats broken it has a part # on it and replace it!!
Th two servicemen were very responsive and professional. They were contracted through an protection plan, but if I have any Appliance that needs work I will definitely give them a call.
My family and I really appreciate Dan! We had been waiting for a part to fix our washer. Since we have the stackable kind, Dan needed an assistant for the job. When the assistant didn’t show, Dan completed the job by himself, because he didn’t want us to be without a washer any longer. He was professional, courteous, and did a great job. We would highly recommend him.
Id like to sing the praises of Dan the repair man. We had been having unresolved problems with our washing machine for 4 months, and two previous repair people (from another company) did not solve the problem. But Dan did!! He stayed until 7:00 at night because he wanted to be the one to solve it. Great work ethic in this young man.
READ THIS ENTIRE STORYI have a small rental unit in Vancouver. About 9 months ago a new dishwasher was needed. The new dishwasher had a problem a few months after purchase so I contacted Maytag. They contract with Appliance Hospital to do their warranty work. An appointment was made and a technician was dispatched to fix the problem. After he was unable to figure out what was wrong he sent me an invoice claiming that the house itself had an electrical problem and that was why the dishwasher wasn’t working. Appliance Hospital then sent me an invoice. Not wanting any trouble and believing that they were correct, I sent them payment in full. My tenant also told me that the dishwasher worked after the technician left. Well about 6 months later my tenant informs me that the dishwasher is once again not working. This time before I called Maytag I hired an electrician to investigate the wiring. He tells me that the electrical is fine. I also hired a plumber to investigate the plumbing just in case the technician tries to shift the blame to the house again. That too came back as fine. This cost me a few hundred dollars. So once again I call Maytag and I asked if they had another local service technician besides Appliance Hospital but the answer was no. So they come out once again for the same problem. This time the dishwasher’s problem was found and it was covered by the warranty. I then realized that I was charged in error the first time. I called Appliance Hospital to see about getting a refund for the invoice that they had me pay. The woman in billing said she would look into it and would call me back. I never heard a thing. So I called again and spoke to Janet who was very nice and informed me that the notes say “no refund - she waited too long to ask for one”. What? So I explained that it is a rental and I don’t live there and must rely on my tenant to tell me what is going on. Janet assured me that billing would contact me (again) in a few days. It’s been a week and I have heard nothing from Appliance Hospital.I find this attitude and behavior rude and unreasonable. The amount in question is less than $120. and I think I have a legitimate claim. The dishwasher is under warranty and their original diagnosis was incorrect. If their attitude is such that they would rather make enemies in their community than offer a legitimate refund then perhaps they need a new business model. And since when does a mistake not get rectified when it becomes 8 months old?I wouldn’t choose to do business with a company of such poor integrity. I have already lodged a complaint with Maytag.
Never sent an invoice and then sent me to collections! Thats a violation of the fair credit reporting act. Notice needs to be given.
Dr. Dan was the man! He was courteous, helpful, fast moving, and got the job done in good time. He put covers over his shoes and was very pleasant. His skills showed. Definitely 5 stars this time.
I have been working with and referring appliance hospital for 20 years and they are always good folks to work with
Said parts/labor would be as much as a new one. So had to buy new Dryer, but at least he was honest
Doctor Cory was awesome. Repaired refrigerator ice maker and was very helpful in explaining the work that was being done. Satisfied with the repair price. Cory had everything + parts on his truck. I will have any and all appliance repairs done in the future by Appliance & Repair Hospital 🏥.
I tried to use this business, as referred by Samsung. But, they made excuses for two weeks, told me theyd call me within 48 hrs and didnt call me for 9 days, only doing so after I left them a voicemail and emailed them. And, they called me with the same excuses. Absolutely terrible customer service.
Dan IS the man!! He is extremely efficient, professional, very knowledgeable and very considerate knowing that our oven was out. He explained the situation very thoroughly in a way that I was able to understand, also has a very positive attitude and great sense of humor. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone, he is definitely a huge asset for the company :)
We scheduled the repair, they were very prompt and helpful. Solved the problem without issue. Very professional too.
Bogard came out to repair our ill fated LG refrigerator. He replaced the compressor and answered our questions as we watched. Highly recommend him and his great work ethic and attitude.
Technician arrived within the time scheduled Did a good job of communicating what he was going to be doing, why he was going to be doing it and approximately how long it was going to take. Was very thorough in completing the repair. When he arrived and first came into my house he put on shoe covers, and went he had to go out his van he removed them and put them back on when he came back into to the house. This is the second time I have used this company, and I am very satisfied in my dealing with them, and have no problem with recommending them to others.
Prompt, professional service. I would recommend Appliance Hospital to others.
They service is extrodinary! They also show up on time and their work is perfect. Even the customer service people are amazing. They try their best to schedule appointments around their customers. They never overcharge for their service. When they work on your appliances you know it will be done correctly. I have never had to call back with an issue. Been using them for over 30 years and will continue to do so. Don’t call anyone else to service your appliances. Keep up the great service. Ask for Doug who is tech 44.....he does PERFECT WORK
I self-cleaned my Dacor oven and it came out sparkling clean! The next day I was going to use the oven and neither the bake nor broil elements would work. JJ came out to fix it. He found both elements tested OK so he called Dacor for further advice. That advice did not work so he was going to order new elements and wiring. His supervisor suggested he take a look at the temperature reset buttons and reset them. It was successful and saved us a lot of $$! Thank you Dr. JJ!
The tech was very friendly and knowledgeable, only problem I had is he needed to take out agitator and the nut was really tight he needed to beat on the end of his ratchet and I was afraid of dents and chips, I grabbed a towel for protection and a rubber mallet for him to use instead of his hand, several small scratches they were fairly deep into the enamel, didn’t see any dents or chips, I would recommend the techs have an electric or battery powered impact driver for a job like this as the washer and dryer are new and didn’t need any marks in them, otherwise this would be a definite 5 stars for service and tech personality.
I first used Appliance Hospital when my dishwasher maker had them do a recall repair a while back. It went fine, so when I needed to fix both my dishwasher and clothes washer I called them back. They were easy and reasonably fast to schedule, and the tech was friendly and informative. But the results were a disappointment. He replaced a part on the dishwasher which he said diagnostics told him was bad, but he wasn’t sure it would help, and he was right, it didn’t - and he told me he couldn’t repair the clothes washer at all because a needed part was no longer available. I found out later that the problem with the dishwasher was just too much rinse agent (something a repair guy maybe should know), and I found another local repair place that had no problem getting the supposedly discontinued part to fix my clothes washer.
Service is the problem, they rescheduled for a week later then the day of called and rescheduled again for a week later!
Amazing Customer Service !!! Fighting a issue with a refrigerator that was not making ice. A factory issue, that two other service companies could not fix. What a waste of time and money ! Finally called ABC and spoke with Jasmine who advised me to call the manufacturer and request a OUT of WARRANTY service repair. After speaking with several people that request was honored . Two weeks later Dr. Scott had all the necessary parts needed and in 45 minutes had the fix completed. Finally Ive got a refrigerator back making ice. All at NO CHARGE, thanks to Jasmine and Dr. Scott. A JOB WELL DONE ! Thank You ABC
Good service, fair prices.
Dennis was the tech that came to my house for my refrigerator repair. Dennis is an asset to this company, he wore booties, showed me everything he was going to do and explained it. Showed me the protection methods he was going to use to protect my floor and counters during the repair, and did an outstanding job cleaning up and completed the repair in a very timely manner. Absolutely polite and respectful. This is the third repair to my fridge in one year. I purchased it with a protection plan and another company had been here before. If the warranty folks would have sent me to the Appliance Hospital first, I think I would have gotten this thing fixed right the first time. I can highly recommend this establishment and without a doubt I can wholeheartedly reccomend Dennis. Use these people for your next repair. You wont be disappointed!
I want to thank Michael for his excellent service recently. He listened to my concerns and addressed the problem! The company was easy to work with.
The first time they came out to fix our dish washer the repair person did not have the correct part, but figured out what was needed and was very professional. It took two more weeks to get the part in before he could come back and install it.The correct part was installed by the same person that was here on the first visit. Again, he was knowledgeable and tested the dish washer after installing the new part. So far its been working great.I gave 4 stars just because of how long it took to fix. But otherwise we had a good experience.
Nathan of Appliance Hospital here in Bend arrived on time, quickly analyzed our problem with our microwave oven and set about repairing it. In less than 45 minutes he removed the combination microwave/conventional Kitchenaid oven, removed and replaced the broken part and had everything buttoned back up including setting the microwave digital clock. I now consider myself a walking billboard for Appliance Hospital and Nathan. Paul Fieberg
Jim, the dishwasher repair man, was just great. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend the Appliance Hospital to my friends for all their household machine repairs. Thanks again, Jim.
We have a brand new Jennaire Induction cooktop. The controller blew on it and Jennaire sent us to The Appliance Hospital to have them repair it. They are not located in our area and only come out 2 times a week. It took several days for them to supposedly order parts for the cooktop. When the repairman finally came out, he was missing the main part he needed. He had to order it and then schedule another service call. The second time he came out, he replaced the part but it is still not working. Now it is Thursday of a holiday weekend. Apparently they are not working Friday and will not order the part until Monday. It will not get here until Wednesday and then they have to schedule a new appointment. This is HORRIBLE customer service. I called to speak to the manager and she would not come to the phone. Supposedly she is supposed to call me--but that has not happened. I do not recommend this company! The do not seem to understand the concept of customer service.
Awesome experience with Appliance Refrigeration Hospital! The technician ( Doctor Jeff) arrived on time and was courteous. He fixed my washer in minimal time and explained the problem. VERY PROFESSIONAL! I will definitely use this business again in the future!
Dr. Don has been to our house several times in the past few years to repair a variety of appliances and has always been pleasant, efficient, and honest about whether the appliance was able to be or worth fixing. We highly recommend him and Appliance & Refrigeration Hospital!
I had an awesome experience with Appliance and Refrigeration Hospital. They were booked out 2 weeks, but they were able to get me on their cancellation schedule and had someone come do their job within a week. I am very satisfied with their work, very professional, physically looked for the issue, prior tech from a different company came by to check out the issue week prior and they didn’t fix anything. This technician had the right knowledge to work with our Samsung dryer! Thanks guys ! Definitely recommend them! Shout out to James ! He was the tech sent out !
The Girls along with the technician, Bogard Salinas were great to workwith. When I called I was scheduled fast and very professionally. BogardCame to my house and fixed my refrigerator. He was very pleasant andalso very professional. I would highly recommend Appliance Hospital forAppliance repair.
Request a service tech to diagnose and fix LG refrigerator got this one from hands it was cooling but not strong enough, told them LG paid off the money to 1st owner and it have no LG warranty and I will pay from my pocket, and I warned them it is R600a gas refrigerant they asked for serial number but I was driving out from home and was not able to provide serial number, was told they work with R600a LG, so I schedule a tech for diagnosticOn 8/19/19 tech came over looked with his eyes on refrigerator and he was not able to find a sticker with a serial number inside the refrigerator(there was one outside) so the tech called LG to find out it does not have warranty and RA( return authorized money payed back to first owner) he said “the company don’t work with RA refrigerators plus it is R600a” did nothing don’t even moved refrigerator from the wallDid not diagnose refrigerator he can’t work on it no sticker ( it is pump failure find out later from other tech other company and it is not a problem and replaceable)But they charge $109 plus tax(WA) for doing nothingGoing to the bank to get my money back they new it all and I requested diagnostic not come in look and walk out,Totally don’t recommend this companyDon’t waste time and money.
Would have been 5 stars except that their labor rates are exorbitant. Feels a bit like extortion honestly since they are the only shop in town working on SubZeros. I highly recommend you ask for labor rates in advance. That said:Pros: Knowledgeable, very professional. Good customer service; easy to schedule and arrived promptly. Got the work done efficiently within the time quoted after assessment; and left the work area clean.Cons: I paid $693 in labor for just under 2.5 hrs of repairs. Thats over $277/hour! This was not quoted to me in advance, and I would not have guessed it would be that high.
My family and I want to thank Ashley for her service. She was very pleasant, capable and left the work area clean. Thank you for working on my dishwasher. I will ask for her if and when I will need service again.Sincerely, D. Francis from Tacoma
