Was VERY skeptical when showing up, have been a member for a couple years now and been loving it!! Stayed at 4 different resorts and they have ALL been great! People have been friendly and even stayed an extra night in Hawaii with a 2 day notice. Price isnt bad and probably the main reason I signed up. I recommend VI Resorts to all my friends and family.

We ended up not bothering to go to the presentation that we were required to go to before we could collect the vacation we won. They dont allow allow kids or pets at the meeting, they *require* you to bring a credit card incase you want to buy something, even if you insist you dont want to buy anything. And they arent even local. Why are they advertising in places where they dont have an office? And they arent really giving you a free vacation because they expect you to give a deposit and pay taxes for the vacation. Not worth it.

Had a terrible experience with this company. The “rep” Byron was extremely rude, demeaning, and down right disrespectful. He talked down on women and was sleezy. The front desk man acted like he cared and was sorry but a quick google search of the company name with Byron and you can see this isn’t his fist rodeo. My family has many time shares and I can see why not with this company. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Like others, If 0 out of 5 stars was an option, I would start there. My wife received a call that she had won a free trip to Las Vegas from last years Ski Fever show. All that we would need to do is stop by and pick up our voucher as well as plan out the details of the trip with the advisor. When we arrived the front desk had us fill out a small form as well as grabbed us drinks. I suppose this could be the justification for the 1 star. The nicety ended the moment we met with our representative, he lead us to their main sales area which has loud music playing 24/7. Loud enough that you nearly need to yell to talk to the salesman. After about 1 minute of conversation he began arguing with us about our reasons for being there, belittling the vacation and that we were cheap people for coming for a free vacation. He was very aggressive and just down right rude. He constantly cut me off while talking over my wife. After 5 minutes of this we got up and left. This was by far the worst interaction i have ever had with a salesman of any kind, and i have met my fair share of used car salesman.End of the day, if you get a call for a Free Trip and it can be picked up at VI, DO NOT GO.

(Update) Client Relations Manager, Michelle C., phoned me and was very professional, listened to my concerns, especially suggestions on how the Vancouver salespeople could improve their customer service. She apologized for our experience, assured me on the phone and later in writing that training will be instituted to address these specific concerns. She also apologized for the misrepresentation of the Free Gifts and offered to correct them. I have increased my rating from One Star to Three Stars, because of Michelles good communications. It remains only 3 Stars until we can see that Byron and staff have improved their customer service significantly. Thanks.(Original Review)Lies, lies and more lies and Byron was an extremely rude, high-pressure and condescending salesperson. Lie#1:Trip is 3 nights/4days. FACT: only 2 nights. I asked him to take a picture of the card with his cell phone, then he finally read it, reluctantly took a picture and then violated my rights again by saying well I didnt say you couldnt come in here with a cane, many of our owner-properties are accessible. It was a darker and stormier night than anyone could have anticipated. Ehren drove the Prius intently and with caution. He had just bought the car. It was new to him, and there was no reason to make it old before its time. Some people may have seen foreshadowing in the weather, but he and Sunflower were too focused on the prospect of a free vacation to take notice of the foreboding atmosphere. As they rolled carefully onward, they discussed the plan. Its going to be hard to say no, he said. Ehren had been through this before, and he knew the power of their high-pressure sales. After all, his ex wife had almost folded, almost pushed him to buy a timeshare. He didnt want a repeat of that experience, and Sunflower, despite her qualities, didnt necessarily possess the fortitude to resist, or the experience to understand, what lay before her.I know, she said. Youve told me fifteen times already. Besides, Im looking forward to acting my part. Its not every day you get to be an actress. She smiled knowingly, and he smiled back. Maybe, just maybe, they would pull this off. They pulled into the parking lot several minutes late. Ehren swore under his breath as he stepped out of the vehicle and into a puddle. It seemed to only happen when he was wearing his nice shoes. He almost never wore his nice shoes, but tonight he needed to look the part.Their backstories had been fabricated in advance. She was an actress, mostly working in indie films, but shed finally gotten her big break. What film was she working on? She wanted so much to talk about it, but, unfortunately, it was a secretive project. Shed signed an NDA, and she couldnt risk her career. He was in sales, making $75K a year. They had recently gotten engaged, and the deposit on the wedding location was to ultimately be the reason that they would be unable to purchase a timeshare. They had it all worked out, right down to how they met and where the wedding venue. It was an iron clad plan.Timeshare presentations all seem to offer the same experience. The salesmen all seem to have failed in the used car game, greased their hair, doubled down on the cologne, and decided to try their luck with multi-owner, limited use, vacation units. The sales women are slightly better, in that they dont tend to reek of desperation, petroleum, and Old Spice. Hawaiian shirts and loose slacks of the JC Penney, 1994 variety. Its hard to look at. The music, mostly Buffet and The Beach Boys, is cracked up to eleven. Im short, the introduction is an affront to all of your senses. They entered the room. Ehren made a b-line for the refreshments. Coffee or tea, he thought, it doesnt matter, so long as it has a powerful aroma. His plan was to slowly sip the beverage, keeping his nose near the cup at all times. Were going to sit over there, the salesman said, gesturing toward a table in the front. The three of them sat down for the opening speech. Its, honestly, the most tolerable part of the pitch. Its just a short explanation of how timeshares work accompanied by some slides of their more attractive properties.Next was the sales pitch. The pressure is definitely on, but they stuck to their plan.We recently got engaged, Ehren remarked, successfully derailing the salesman.Sunflower showed him the ring she was wearing. In fact, this was the engagement ring from Ehrens marriage, which had ended some years before. The truth was that they had no intention of getting married, it was part of the elaborate back story the two had concocted.Congratulations! Where did he propose? The salesman was looking for cracks in their story. He wanted to know that they were serious, the he could make the sale.Sunflower was drawing a blank. They had missed this detail She passed to Ehren. Where was that, Babe? I forget.Ehren hadnt thought about this either. He pulled one out of the ether in time to respond, Sunset Park, he said. To his knowledge, there was no such park, but it sounded nice...

This is an honest review, good, bad and in between. We have been members for 3 years. I need to start by acknowledging the sales process is the worst part of the experience... loud music, distracting sales tactics, etc. However we did our research in advance and knew exactly what we wanted and how much we wanted to pay. And surprisingly the sales manager was very open to our ‘pitch’ back to him 😉 make sure to request extra weeks at their Mexico resorts! The properties are in between, some are awesome and some need upgrades but all are clean and well stocked in great locations. When we add the price we paid plus the Semi annual maintenance the average cost per night works out to about 70% of what we would pay for a Best Western, and the rooms are definitely nicer than that. Booking can get tricky and often we have been frustrated by the lack of availability when and where we prefer. The service is the best part of the experience. They treat you like a VIP at all locations, offer deals on adding points or extending your term. And if you have an issue the local WA call center are always willing to do what it takes to make it right. I would recommend it to anyone who has a travel budget and is willing to do research...UPDATE 10/22/2020. I changed my 4 stars to 5 because VI has just taken extra steps to care for its owners during covid. Especially MaryAnn in owner services. She refunded us fees for two trips booked during this year and also generously extended a couple week long certificate for stays at Torres Mazatlan (our favorite!). This is why being a VI owner beats traveling on your own hands down!!

While it is true, the music is loud. The presentation is hyped and they use every sales tactic under the sun. They are offering a great travel package. We will now afford to take vacations more with our kids. Our plan is to use it locally for the most part. However, will plan a few destination vacations too. Overall, the price of the package we chose will pay for its self in 3 vacations. So we figure that alone makes it worth it. We mostly understand the dues and other potential charges if we stay anywhere outside of our points. We didnt choose a life long plan only 12 years. Honestly, with our youngest being 13 years old thats all we need. So were happy with our decision and look forward to making lasting memories for our children and with them. Time is running out for us as our other two are 15 and 17 years old. So if you can just get past the cheesy sales pitch and just do it for your personal life then it is all good. If you dont have the money to purchase this travel program then dont!

When you compare time share plans, you will discover that VI is a true bargain. It is the one you will actually keep and pass on to your kids.In the mid-80s, we researched the time share market and determined the VI points plan (the only points plan at that time) was much better for us than a fixed week, or fixed location. Plus the maintenance fee structure was reasonable and simple to understand. We bought enough odd year points for one week, in a studio and added points to get a one bedroom upgrade a few years later. Having the odd year contract was perfect for our busy lives and forced us to take a vacation at least every other year.Once I retired, we increased our plan to every year. We still found an every other year vacation was the norm, but now we stayed for two weeks, or booked a two bedroom unit and brought friends (a great option with points). A chance to obtain an elderly friends points at a reduced rate gave us even more flexibility.Because VI has so many locations to choose from, we dont have to pay for an exchange program membership and that saves us money. The staff have been wonderful at every location we have visited and the accommodations range from extremely nice to absolutely gorgeous. We find ourselves returning to Torres Mazatlan again and again. The activities team and wait staff are so welcoming and inclusive and several of them remember our names (and our drink orders!). When the staff greet your arrival with a warm Welcome Home we truly feel as if we have come back to visit family.

If I could rate them a zero I would. I had a job interview with these people a few days ago and before hand I did some research, read the reviews and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt; my mistake. I walked in to the sound of ridiculously loud music, was greeted politely and told to fill out an application and sit in the back of the presentation room to watch the process before they continued with the interview. I sat quietly and observed the people around me while I filled out the application but what I saw and heard made me leave before the presentation even started. The only way I can think to describe the sales team would be to call them Sharks. I was very uncomfortable with how they conducted business and knew I could not ethically be a part of it. They were loud and boisterous and overly enthusiastically engaging to the customers face and then they would come to the back of the room where I was and disrespectfully size up and discuss them. They use every sleazy tactic in the book to get you to buy. The loud music gives the illusion of privacy at each table as agents do everything they can to make personal connections with the customer while other agents loudly provide overly enthusiastic conversation buffers and support. It all seemed very fake and reminded me of something out of a TV show. I took my application with me and threw it away, I left just as the presentation was about to start after one sales agent very rudely sneered at me when I asked about the volume of the music, it was the last tiny straw that made me not care how awkward it would be and I got up and swiftly left. These people do not deserve your business.

After reading a ton of the reviews, I thought I would leave my own. Mostly to apologize, as a member(not staff), for the way you were treated during the introductions and pitch. I did not have that experience when we joined, and I fully believe that there are representatives that would have treated you better.I highly recommend it if you get the chance. If you use it, it more than pays for itself. Since joining I have upgraded twice to accommodate my growing travel desires and am totally satisfied with the entire package. If you are seriously interested, then I suggest shopping around for the right sales person, just like you would with any store or sales lot. You know what you want when you arrive, but if you get treated poorly, chances are you will leave with a bitter taste, and a dislike for that outfit. Regardless of the “deal” on the product you were there to shop.

One star is the lowest rating I could give them. Approached at the 4 Queens in downtown Las Vegas while still half asleep. At first I thought they were associated with the hotel/casino. Assured it was just a 90 minute presentation. Paid a $40 deposit for a presentation the next day. As it was our travel day, we were assured it was only 90 minutes. As I was reading what little information that was provided, I realized that the presentation was on the south end of the strip. Not only did I have to repeatedly tell them I dont want a time share, I thought they were gonna try and sell me a used car only driven on Sundays to get there. And when you tell them you dont feel time shares are a good investment for you at the time, they had the wall to tell me I dont think my family is a good investment... Because that will make me want to buy your product. The first sales men we had to talk to was brazzen enough to tell me Im wealthy because of the vehicle I got out of. Its an f150.... What a joke this place is! They have roamers walk the room and listen to what you are telling your representative. Then they focus on who they think they can get to purchase on their vacation point system. My husband and I have upcoming vacations planned including a Caribbean cruise. They swooped in and offered us a repossessed points package at a killer deal... Then throw an extra once week vacation at us if we buy today! So we figured sure sounds good.... Until the closer Jerry comes in. He was ridiculous to say the least! It went from zero down to $1154 down to actually asking us to give him a check to hold for the down payment and then when we refused that he went so far as to ask if we had anything to sell to come up with the down payment! Mind you my husband and I have free and clear vehicles and the ability to pay the down payment that was never the point the point was there deceitful tactics to get us to buy! So we finally got our free 3 day vacation to Southern California...... Only to find out we have to go on week days ONLY! UGH this place is a joke!!!! And the voucher expires in May 2019... Totally awful experience!12/20/2018 follow up... Just this week, got the letter from CBE, saying if they dont hear from us by 12/19/2018, the trip will be forfeited. Finally connected with them. The trip they offered, that was no additional cost, was from Portland to LA that was all day, included two layovers (SF and Phoenix), and got us to LA at 10 pm. The hotel they planned for a Motel 6, miles from Disney. The return trip was the same, with two layovers.Working with them, they offered non-stop flights, to a hotel close to Disney, arriving at a better time... for $340..That, along with the deposits and taxes, hardly makes this the free vacation they promised during the luring phone call and the time share presentation we sat through... Simply awful.

Worst sales experience ever - we left feeling dirty, violated, and scammed.1. Telling me I won a free vacation....when in fact every person who entered is contacted.2. The free vacation costs $150 (you pay all the taxes and fees) plus the multiple times you have to send in a refundable deposit...by bankers check and postal mail.3. Stating you will get a voucher for the vacation and then you make the arrangements. The process of claiming the (not) free vacation has such red tape and hoops, and they end up making all the actual decisions (like flight times and lodging dates).4. Extremely low blow sales tactics including the strong insinuation that we were bad parents if we didnt take our family on THEIR vacation ownerships.5. Deals that are today only but after declining (for the 15th time) suddenly its good for 15 months....only if I purchase another free vacation just to try out their resort.**Do not fall for this companys tactics.**

Great deal. You get a free vacation for coming whether you buy into the vacation resorts or not. I feel like they should be upfront with you and the real reason they have invited you to come. Just be upfront and keep it 100. Bring your checkbook or credit card because they really want to buy into their presentation and become a Share Holder. Dont be like me and my boyfriend, we werent expecting to buy into anything, and this was one time that I could say that if I knew the offer I would have bought into it if I was financially ready. Unfortunately, my boyfriend just purchased a home. It was our second month in the house when we went and we were told basically, if you cant arrange a payment plan before we left that day, we had to sign a statement waiving all rights to ever attending a free vacation offer for life! REALLY!!!! You mean to tell me we got sucked up into coming and listening to the whole presentation to buy into the vacation resort offer, but as punishment for us not being able to buy into make a financial agreement for the resort, due to recently purchasing a new house and not wanting to further my debt by committing to a 6 year payment contract without knowing how paying my mortgage and monthly bills are going. We were penalized and told to sign a paper saying we can never come to another vacation offer. By the way, they kept their word a gave us the vacation though, but well never get to have the opportunity to attend another offer. Well they way I see, they better not solicit my phone again. Be aware. We had to pay $100 refundable deposit and $120 non refundable deposit that goes towards the taxes on the air fare. You can only provide weekdays, depart Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, nothing on Holidays, with 3 dates 30 days out for the initial request and the other two sets of days at least 30 days apart from each set of days. Not a selling point for us but maybe works with the creepy old men that come in. Overall it was just another sales pitch. But I can’t stress enough though how nice Kris was. He should be doing these onside and not with this team of people. Also, Hey Wormtail thanks for telling me to leave a review

We arrived ahead of our appointment time. About 15 minutes prior to the appointment time (8:00 PM), our Sales rep comes out, greets us and takes us back to the presentation room. The first thing that we said it was very hard to hear because the music was very loud. He said he was talk loud, but it was very hard to hear. Then about 10 minutes before 8, my husbands phone rang and he stepped out long enough to tell the caller he was in a meeting. While he was out, the salesman asked me if it was necessary. I told him that we have two daughters that have medical conditions. One is pregnant and one has seizures and he needed the phone for emergency contact. My husband told him the same thing when he returned 2 minutes later. The salesman told my husband he would have to turn his phone OFF during the 30 minute tour. My husband said he could put it on silent, but could not turn it OFF. The rep said he himself would be in big trouble if my husband wouldnt turn his phone off. He was saying we could reschedule (didnt really want to do that because we had drove 1 hour through traffic to get there already). The rep left and talked to his boss and came back a couple of minutes later. It was still before the scheduled appointment time. We also made the comment when my husband took the phone call, it was PRIOR to the appointment time. The rep wanted to get us out of there fast. He said we would get the free gift (airfaire to California and tickets to Seaworld, Disneyland or University Studios) and we could go ahead and leave. They took us out of the main room, we had to wait less then 5 minutes for our free gift and we were on our way. We were gone by 8:05 PM. So if you want to get out of the presentation, take a phone call and refuse to turn your phone OFF. It worked for us. I didnt have to sit through their presentation and high pressure sales, but still got the free gift (after you pay taxes and fees)

Beware of giving the company your personal information. I went here about 2 years ago an inquired about purchasing a time share and decided not to. I found out today I had a credit card open on my credit report I had never seen. It looks like the sales person opened an account in my name without my authorization. He even got my addresses wrong and the credit card and monthly statements were being sent to an incorrect address. Do not to business with this company.

We have really enjoyed our membership - taken great trips we definitely would not have taken otherwise. We gifted our kids with their choice of weekend trips for their birthdays one year and I can guarantee you, they will remember those birthdays more than theyll ever even *think* about some cheapy toy they got for other birthdays and probably broke within a few days. We traveled to Sun River/Bend, OR, Ocean Shores, WA, Idaho near Silverwood Theme Park, and enjoyed our wedding anniversary in beautiful Lake Tahoe, CA, and those were all just local places we could drive to. There are many many other places we have in mind to travel to once we can afford to add in airfare to the plans. :)

My wife (Diana) and I (D ean)just went to VI yesterday 6/12/2012 at 4pm. I would not recommend this unless you are prepared to spend much money. Everyone was pretty nice with the exception of some joker named Jerry. When we told him we could not afford it and that we were on a fixed income being retired, he wanted to know why not... that if our income was 50,000 a year, which they require, he knew we could do it. We told him we had medical bills that prevented it on top of our regular bills. He kept tapping the paper saying if this is truly your income you can afford it. When told him we were retired, he told us we should have planned better for retirement. I told him we had both gotten laid off so took early retirement. He said well if thing were that bad then you would have looked for work right away. We said we had been for almost 2 years. His whole demeanor changed when we said no. Actually us making excuses for ourselves should not have happened. He was just plain being a butt making snide comments and almost, but not quite, calling us liars about our income. Melissa was our main contact she was very nice. Shawn who gave the presentation was very nice. Everyone but this one jerk was very nice. We did get 2 free trips out of it, was the hassle and degradation worth it, NO! We actually felt worthless as we were leaving after the way Jerry made us feel. I think he enjoyed it. So unless you go in prepared to spend around 17,000 (they do have some for less) dont go. And heaven forbid you say no deal.

During the main presentation the speaker assures the group over and over that if any of us dont buy theres no hard feelings and no pressure to buy. None of that panned out. The older, grey-haired man persistently attempted to argue away my reasons for not wanting a $130-$250 monthly payment for the next 15 years. He insulted my wife, and treated us like we were lying about not being able to afford the high monthly payments.Dont go. Its a waste of time unless you need practice sticking to your guns amd saying no repeatedly. Also, the free trip has so many special conditions, undefined fees, and a large deposit that we wont be taking the offer.

We have been members for 30+ yrs. and it has been the best investment we have made in our 43 yrs. of marriage. We have met many people at various resorts that have become life long friends that we see every year on vacation and throughout the year. I love how you have the choice to stay in a studio to a penthouse. We have done several exchanges. Our favorite resorts are Sunriver (fabulous front desk employees and staff) and Puerto Vallarta (fabulous front desk employees and staff). My husband remembers watching Good Morning America 30+ years ago and discussing timeshares and the positive VI program. We bought shortly after and it was the best investment for us, our daughter and now our grandchildren. They join us on our vacations.

We were not told the name of the company when we scheduled our “appointment” to get our free Vegas trip. We learned the name after we drove 1 1/2 hours to get there outside the doors when one of the employees asked us if we were there for VI resorts. While we waited at the doors for them to let us in, we googled the reviews and ended up leaving before our appointment started. Thanks for heads up!!!

It was a lovely winter evening when my girlfriend and I strolled in to the Convention Center for a landscape and remodel show. As we perused the wares and services of various vendors, a nearly vacant booth staffed by two zealous women caught our attention. These two VI representatives encouraged us to take a moment to participate in a free game for a chance to win a free vacation. Guess what? We won!! All we had to do in order to secure this vacation was put down a $40 deposit and attend a seminar. There was literally no disclosure as to the content of the seminar. Referencing information on the invitation to the seminar, we did our due diligence and researched the company behind such an exciting free offer. Results proved accurate. We arrived in the waiting room at VI in Vancouver and immediately overheard a distraught elderly couple at the front desk complaining about the availability of the location they were wishing to book a stay at. The couple was quickly whisked into a back room and out of earshot as we filled out our paperwork. Upon completion of our paperwork, we were greeted by the highlight of our morning, the most enthusiastic salesman Ive ever met. Our guy sat us down, began a literal song and dance. His humor constantly referenced racial stereotypes, he could quickly perceive that we were disengaged upon which time he incorporated the pressure of his supervisor. The pitch was to sell a lifetime ownership in vacation destinations around the world. Upon learning of our vacation habits (camping, hostels, couch surfing etc) the pitch was quickly ended... Cutting to the chase, the free vacation is air fair and hotel for two, departing on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.. in order to redeem this magical vacation all we had to do was mail $100 to the company to cover taxes, then wait for our tickets... Unfortunately, this company runs a business as predatory as pay day lending - it appears they are marketing to the same demographic. I dont know any fiscally responsible couple that would finance an $18k+ vacation program without working through their budget, but our rep certainly didnt want us do to the math... I am surprised this is legal ...

Wow, never in my life have I been irritated enough to want to write a negative review up until today. So a couple week ago while enjoying an event my husband & I were offered a 2 night vacation to Vegas that included stay and airfare, worth a quoted value of $2,000 with the catch being that wed have to pay for tax & listen to their timeshare offer. In all honesty we didnt really care to listen to the offer, but were curious & figured what the hell, whens the next time wed be offer a trip of this sort, so we agreed to go at least hear what they had to say. From very loud blaring music, to flowery compliments, to attempts to find common interests, the sales reps were way over the top trying their best to impress & make us fall for what was about to be said. One of their salesmen was even dancing around the room with a cup on his head & shaking his junk in the faces of all the women in the room. (When did that become a sales technique) Not impressed. All while our own personal saleswoman and the lead salesman over her drilled us about our income while becoming very invasive. Even with all of this we were still willing to listen to get our trip. Then the main speaker introduces himself & the offer which at this point our $2,000 trip became a $1200 trip (OK). To set up for his $30,000 timeshare deal he begins by downplaying all the ways people vacation. One of said way being RV staying, his main downplay being that it is more expensive to RV, & that their are no cheap places to stay with an RV. As someone who actually lives in a really nice RV let me just tell you that this information is completely false. At the end he really had done nothing to convince us to spend $30,000 for discounted hotel stay. So after he’s finished speaking our saleswoman (who at this time smells like she’s been drinking the whole time) turns to us and lays a few other deals on the table and shows us a catalog of all the places. We nicely decline and she is clearly unhappy, so she calls the salesman over, who starts scolding us asking why we said we wanted it before & now we don’t, then turns to saleswoman & scolds her saying what did you do to turn them away. Well, for one we technically never said we were going to buy & two we have the right to decline without being treated so rudely. So he goes away and we’re stuck there with the now pouty saleswoman waiting for our so called “prize” for like 30 minutes. & as if he’s going to make the whole experience better the rude salesman comes by every once in awhile with cheaper offers. & when it was all said and done the originally quoted $2,000 trip turned into an $899 trip if that. All in all I’ve got to say that this was the worst sales pitch Id ever experienced & I wouldn’t trust these guys as far as I could throw them. & for anyone who comes across this offer, I advise you to just don’t.

So about a year ago, we won a trip to California to go to Disney Land, and all sorts of other things that sounded awesome! Of course me being the nice person I am and our son being the one who won the trip, gave the gentlemen our down payment of 40.00 for the trip, and stated in order for us to redeem the vacation we had to attend a presentation that weekend. Great I thought shouldnt hurt but my wife being through this sort or presentation already strongly suggested to say NO and that we were not going to purchase anything they offered at said presentation. Well I found after the presentation that maybe it was something we could afford and sign up for and it would force us into taking a yearly vacation, so we said yes. It was all unicorns and rainbows since we both work for US Bank and know all about money talk, until, they wanted a down payment which then they proceeded to offer to open a VI credit card. That is when I really started to get worried, after leaving that place I had a very bad feeling about the decision I had just made for my family, and my wife not very happy at the time with me also was worried. Oh and before I forget the free trip to California, NOT FREE AT ALL, it wouldve been about 400 dollars and on top of that we wouldve had to have gone during the week, and we would have had to buy another plane ticket for our son to go. So that evening and the next day I read up on the entire scam they pitched to me, and added up all the numbers, if I had not cancelled 2 days after we would have been paying more in fees than anything on top of that we had the new credit card which we did keep but the downpayment was reimbursed thank goodness for that. After reading all the fine print and finally found how to cancel EVERYTHING you have to send a letter (be as detailed as you can with everything write your account number or whatever information they give you) and pay to have it mailed as a certified letter (or else they wont accept it) I am so thankful I read up on this company afterwards, they make something so great like a vacation sound amazing when in reality you are going to end up paying more with them than you would figuring out your own vacation, do not fall for it, and if you do read up on the entire package you purchase before it is too late!

Its timeshare...with a slight difference. We got duped into thinking we won a prize at the portland beer festival. We show up to claim prize, to discover we have won the chance to listen to timeshare pitch and then get coupons for a free trip to Vegas or Ca. After sitting through their presentation and being obviously insulted and attempted manipulation... we left with our prize. The prize was only for mon-wed only...and staying in a hotel way off the Vegas Strip even though the sales person told us wed be on the strip. Its just a marketing scam that tries to guilt you and manipulate you by deceptive tactics to sign up for a service thats not economically viable. Dont give in to their tactics. Do your own sums...figure out how much you would spend, compared to what they try pitch you.Theyre basic plan requires you to spend $18k up front for x amount of points per year plus a $2k per year fee. They Guarantee better quality and space in the hotels when its convenient for you. The reviews say otherwise. You have been warned. If you plan on visiting Vegas or ca..and dont care about being off strip and travelling mon-wed...then Im sure you will save a couple hundred $$ on your trip...as long as you dont sign up haha?

This was our second time in 3 years going to the sales pitch. The first time we went it wasnt all that bad, took a little under 2 hours and we got free airfare to anywhere. We had to pay $75 each for processing fees so its not exactly free. We told them no and they were cordial enough. This time though....wowzas. (9/19/12) They laid it on THICK. They have your greeter sales person who sits at a table with you. Then after the sales guy describes the points system up front the table guy breaks it out by how much it costs up front, For $17,800 you get 25 years of 105 points to use each year. Which equates to 3-5 weeks of vacation. What they skim over is the fact that you are paying about $700 a year for maintenance fees. That puts the total in 25 years at $35,300. Plus they give you in house financing of 16.99%. wow. Even if you had no interest and stayed somewhere for 3 weeks that still works out to $67 a night for a place. Well while the guy was breezing through the book of resorts they had numbers that equated to how much points the place was. A one bedroom condo on the oregon coast was 20 points. I assumed that was for a week. I asked he said no thats the per night point rate so really for 105 points a year youd get 5 nights a year! they totally spin this so it sounds like a good deal but its not. So 5 nights a year for the yearly cost (once you break down maintenance fees and upfront fees and no interest) is $1412 which works out to $282 a night! They sell it as averaging out to $50 a night in the end. All you have to do is bring out your calculator and it starts making them nervous. Also be smarter then the sales guy and youll be quick to know it is not a good deal.To make matters worse the corporate sales guy sergi took us in the back office to get our free vacation and try HARD to sell it again. He made some tasteless jokes about black people not being able to afford it and told my husband if he didnt buy this for me some other guy was going to. He also insinuated that we had no joy in our hearts because we didnt travel enough and that our health and marriage were going to deteriorate because we didnt spend enough time together traveling. Also I made the mistake of jokingly asking our table sales guy Greg if he was going to get fired if we said no. Dont ask that. He said yes then was completely nervous, sweaty and uncomfortable for the next 10 minutes. I felt really bad and pretty stupid for asking the question. BUT on a positive note you get some FANTASTIC one liners. my husband and I still joke about the russian guy saying you like to save money righttttt
