Edit: I’ve come to Mr. Earl several times to fix/upgrade my gaming pc. On one of my visits there was also a group of girls there. NEVER have I encountered people so rude before. Mr.Earl did everything they asked for, and they still complained and continued to cuss/say horrible things about him. They were acting very entitled and spoiled, and just overall being horrible human beings. I noticed they left bad reviews, but please don’t pay attention to them. He handled their attitude and entitlement with much more grace than I would’ve been able to. My first experience happened back in 2010. My computer gave me the blue screen of death and going through HP (Hewlett Packard) was proven to be more difficult. Someone who I knew recommended Data Corp. I will be honest, I was skeptical at first because of the appearance of the shop. Mr. Earl greeted me with a smile. He fixed my computer and made sure it had all the protection software to prevent future viruses. Fast forward to 2019, Data Corp has fixed two of my Dads computers and my personal one. They had to order a new keyboard but gave me my computer back with a loaner external keyboard and fully updated. Mr. Earl is very knowledgeable and yes, hes a talker, lol. Dont be alarmed by how the shop looks. He knows what hes doing. I will continue as a customer should the need arise.

I had a great experience with DataCorp Everyone was wonderful especially the owner He quickly knew what my problem was and got on it right away. He kept me informed as to any delays in having my laptop ready. To me their was no delay because I brought in my laptop one day and got it back the next day. He also went beyond what I expected to just clean up my computer. He did what I ask and more. I see now why I needed to go to him or someone. He gave me quite a education to things that were helpful to me and how take care of my laptop.

I dropped my laptop off with the understanding that I would have it back in a day or two because they where busy. Now I understand why they are busy! These guys are GREAT! not only did they get me back my laptop that evening but it was also less than what I expected for the price! And it IRuns like a brand new computer! I had a good experience. I left feeling informed, and insured that if his work was not to my standards to be sure and let him know. Its tough when dealing with computers. Youre never sure what the issue may have been that is causing you trouble. The owner takes pride in his work. For some that can be off putting, coming off as arrogant. Wouldnt you rather some one be confident and thorough and make sure that he takes every measurement to ensure that you get your PC back in better shape than when you brought it in. That was my experience. He took his time and made sure that I understood what the issues were. Upgraded my cooler system, re-installed windows, new CPU (Because mine burnt up from not installing the cooler properly, I installed it go figure), M2 SSD drive installed with the OS directly in it. If you want to upgrade your PC or take it someone who will take their time i suggest this place, because many places wont tell you whats going on and why your PC is running slow. He also followed up many times during the process to ask me questions about my hard drive as he was de-fragging it, making sure he didnt remove any important things to me. I appreciate the time and attention he took to my PC. He genuinely loves working on computers and he cares about your experience, wants to do right by you.. Not many places these days can make you feel confident in their craftsmanship but this place does feel this way.

Looked up computer repair shop in Valdosta, read some the reviews, I figured Ill give DataCorp a try. Drove to the shop unannounced, I spoke to Mr Richards, about my issue with my laptop. We had great conversation on what the problem could be and how he could possibly fix it. He was very thorough and very knowledgeable. To make a long story short, the laptop was fixed and ready to be picked up the very next day. He was able to recover all my data, add software, and made it run like new again. When I brought it to him, I couldnt log on, windows wouldnt open, it was a mess. Excellent service, price for repair was well worth it and very reasonable. Mr Richards went beyond fixing my laptop, he made it run even better then before. Hes a great conversationalist too, knows his history, humorous, and knows a lot about computers. I feel the need to warn anyone who may enter this store about the experience I just had. The store is a huge mess, the owner smells terrible, is extremely unprofessional, tried to rip me off, and Im pretty sure he tried to steal from me too.I needed a cable for an external hard drive. I knew it should cost about $5 after looking several places online. He didnt know what kind of cable I needed when I asked, so he told me to just bring in the hard drive.I get to the store, and he isnt there. After calling the store several times, he finally walks up and asks if Im the guy who needs the hard drive cable. He tells me he left to buy a lottery ticket and he actually left his keys at the gas station and needed me to give him a ride to retrieve them. He was barefoot, and he absolutely REEKED when he got in my car. It smelled like several days since his last shower.We get inside and his store looks more like a hoarder house. Nothing is new, nothing is in packages, its just old, dirty, broken junk everywhere with no organization whatsoever.He comes back with a cable and plugs it into a hard drive. I supposed he just wanted to test it, but then I noticed him browsing through the files and realized it was MY hard drive he was looking through.He says out loud, You dont have anything I would be interested in.Who does this guy think he is? The stuff I have is just that; MY STUFF, I dont care how interested you are.He then makes a comment about how fast USB 3.0 copies and asks to copy a file to demonstrate. I tell him No, Id really rather you didnt, but he starts copying a file anyway. I step closer and notice that its my copy of Windows Server 2008 and snatch the cable out of his computer. Windows Server is not easy to find, nor is it cheap. If all he wanted to do was demonstrate he could have chosen one of my word documents. The only reason to copy that file is to keep it after I leave.He then tried to charge me $10 for his used cable. I left immediately before I lost my temper. When I called the store to explain why I left so quickly, he threatened to get rude, so I hung up and blocked his number. He then called me from a private number to leave me a voicemail. I have a feeling it is not an apology.This guy smells terrible, doesnt wear shoes, doesnt know anything about computers, tried to rip me off, invaded my privacy, and tried to steal from me. DO NOT GO HERE!

I was greeted at the door, asked my problems and dealt with quickly. My computer was ready the next day and is working better than it ever has been. These guys knew exactly what to do and charged half what Best Buy wanted and the experience was pleasant.

Ive been using Data Corp for a few years. I was insecure when I had a problem as Im not that knowledgeable when it comes to computers. I had the tech service purchased through my internet provider and I had a problem they couldnt fix. I had a very good experience with this company! My computer was shot, couldn’t even turn on after I made the mistake of calling that 1-800 number! 😩 Anyways, I was certain that all 1400 of my pictures were lost, which included my son’s baby pictures! After a couple of days not only were they able to get my computer back on, my photos were saved in the process!!! I got a new hard drive, all my photos, my buttons replaced, and even a couple of free new movies downloaded for an excellent price!!! The owner was even kind enough to let me take my computer home and pay half this week and the other half next week! I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Came in with a comp with no cover and the thing would only run Windows in test mode. I would take 3-5 mins to boot. Came out with my same hardware + a new SSD drive and now it only takes 3-5 secs to boot. These guys are very knowledgeable, and will probably treat you like you dont know much at first but stick with them. They are super funny and nice once you get to know them, I promise.

I recently upgraded my computer to an i7 9700k and a MSI MPG z390 gaming plus motherboard and the computer would not get past boot. I took it to Earl and their new store after calling him on the phone. I arrived to the store at 6:30pm and left the store around 10:30pm almost all of the time was spent working on the computer, diagnosing the problem, then tweaking the system after the repair had taken place. We had to try several different possibilities, around 7, before the solution was clear, an out of date BIOS on the motherboard. The price was not revealed to me, so i cannot comment about his prices as I was able to trade in some old computer parts that I had laying around; ( broken GPU, a bent pin motherboard, and my old processor/ MOBO combo) all of which i was never going to use again. He also tweaked some system information within windows which makes my system preform A LOT snappier than it was prior to the improvements.Throughout the entire experience with Earl he was very professional and while we were waiting on the system to load, or transfer files over we had very pleasant conversations.If you need anything repaired he has the most wealth of knowledge about computers that I have met. He will get you taken care of and will do so in a timely manner. 5/5 would recommend to anybody.

Earl was very personable and really tried to help me. It didnt succeed because it was flat out a bad motherboard. Being computer guy myself, I did feel like he was treating me a little basic, but it was just because he was trying to help. He spent way more time on the phone than I would, advice was all free. He didnt have a motherboard for me to replace mine, but he said he usually does. Took off a star for that, otherwise he would have gotten 5.

Well my experience at Data corp went very well..I originally called in order to see if i could purchase a web cam for a job that inrecdntly obtained. The owner quickly asked the specs of my Pc which I completely got wrong lol so long story short i went and purchased the cam under the wrong specs. The next day i called back explained my issue and the owner prompted me to bring my pc in so that he could make sure the cam he was going to replace the one i originally purchased with was compatible. I spent less than 10 minutes there and my issue was resolved. I appreciate the diligence and efforts to help me out. Id recommend data corp to anyone who asks about pc repairs

Brought my computer in because I was having issues with it being too slow and not installing things. Spoke with them over the phone and was told to come in. I got there and the guy looks at my computer and laughs about it being a Mac as if my choice in product was terrible. Came across as rather condescending when he told me that my computer had a virus and said repair would take 4 weeks. I refused and sought a different store, turns out there was no virus, it was a problem with the hard drive! Would not recommend this place to anyone unless you dont want proper help and like being talked down to.

AVOID! Place is a dump! It looks like where pcs go to die. I say that because I didnt notice any parts newer than around 8 years old plus they all looked in pretty rough shape. Went in looking for a part and within a few minutes he was rude and already trying to rip me off (guess he didnt know I knew about the products). Also yes the guy does smell horrible. Got out of there as soon as I could when it became clear he couldnt help me. Getting that smell out of my nose was very tough. If u want accurate reviews on this place just check Yelp. Only 2 reviews but they say all that u need to know.

I get back at 6:30 and he couldnt find the computer. I waited 30 minutes while he looked. Keep in mind he knew I was coming because I called a day ahead to get him prepared for my coming in. After we he found it, he had to do more downloading which took an hour! The owner was very rude. He treated me like I was ignorant. He kept correcting my grammar and tried to give me a lesson on how to pronounce my words. All to avoid answering my questions. He yelled at me loudly because it was almost closing time and I was asking too many questions that could wait until the morning. He wouldnt explain to me what he did to fix my computer issues. The biggest mistake here was me walking into this dump. It smelled like death in the store and he smelled worse.💀 You can barely walk in the store. I usually dont take disrespect but he is my elder, and I believe he was somewhat disabled so I held my words, simply got in my vehicle and drove away.

BestBuy told me my network configuration was bad and they could reinstall windows for me for $150. I took it to Datacorp and they fixed it in a few minutes for a tenth of the cost. Theyve got my business now.
