The instructor is great. The techniques and skills my kids learn are excellent for self-defense. They get a lot of experience practicing what they are taught. My 13 y/o daughter and 10 y/o son attend the same class Tue & Thu 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A lot of kids of different sizes and skill levels attend, so its good experience with changing opponents.

From the second I walked through the doors to now, I’ve been shown nothing but kindness and respect from everyone. From the people who come to train to the instructors and admin staff, it is a place I can come to not only learn, but be encouraged and supported through the “family”. It definitely feels like a family, even for someone starting so new. The knowledge from the coaches is great and they have been so patient with me as it’s new to me! They genuinely care about what they do and treat everyone, whether new or experienced with grace.

Before going to this gym I’d never done any sort of martial arts. My first day here everyone was friendly and welcomed me as if they had known me all their lives. Which was a great feeling especially being brand new to a sport. I fell in love with this gym from the first day. Everyone here works hard and is also willing to teach one another. The best part is no one has an ego.Professor Cleidson is very helpful and detailed while teaching which makes it easy to understand. He’s very patient with all skill levels and has no problem providing extra help where needed. The best thing about Professor Cleidson is he knows how to connect on a personal level beyond Jiujitsu.This gym is a family friendly environment which makes me feel right at home. My four year-old-son and I have been training at Ralph Gracie Vacaville since April 2020. Coach Cleidson creates a safe and fun family environment for the kids and communicates well with the parents. Been an active member since June of 2020 when we re opened after a brief closure due to covid. I initially walked in thinking I was going to have my 5 year old daughter sign up. I was immediately drawn into the family like atmosphere this place exuded and what made me come back after her initial free classes was their interactions with my daughter. When she decided to try soccer instead I signed up begrudgingly and today I can say it has been one of the best choices I could have made for my sanity and for my health.Professor Cleidson Ramos is a rock and has yet to miss any classes. This guy don’t get sick and is always faithful to the task. He’s a fierce competitor and it shows in competition, equally important is his love for his students and the caring way he goes about instructing them on the intricacies of BJJ. My nephew recently joined with me and has quickly taken to it. With all the insanity of a covid year having bjj has been a huge benefit for maintaining normalcy.The owner Rodrigo created a good thing and this team has become a family to me. My son still enjoys it and has been learning a lot from the two professors he has had and has. Been training at Ralph Gracie Vacaville for a few months and I love it. The teacher makes sure to have one on one time with each student and everybody at the gym is friendly and supportive. The gym is diverse with people of different levels and body types, so everybody feels welcome. Classes provide a good work out along with a sense of community.

I love this gym! They treat my family like family. My 4 yr old daughter was intimidated by BJJ but they couched her and now she loves it! Her confidence has soared and she looks forward to her class. Me and my husband go to the adult class right after (convenient) while my daughter plays with the other kids in their play area. Its perfect! The training is challenging and well worth it!
