When I moved to West Des Moines from Nebraska a few years ago i was clueless about who to go to for my dental work.One day while driving down Hickman I noticed this nice looking building that had a sign saying Solace Dental so i stopped in and visited with Karen at the front desk for awhile.Karen proceeded to a set me up with an initial appointment with Dr. Skinner. I figure I hit a home run when i chose the team at Solace Dental for my dental needs.I highly recommend Solace Dental!

Solace Dental has an extremely welcoming and inviting environment! The staff, Elizabeth the dental hygienist, and the dentist we’re beyond my expectations. They were such a pleasure and did a wonderful job cleaning and examining my teeth! State of the art technology here! No one should ever fret going to the dentist and coming here will put your worries to ease!!!

First time back to a dentist in longer than I would like to admit but the entire experience from walking in the door to walking out after the appointment, was a seamless, efficient, and pleasant experience.

Amazing experience during a time of need. My former dentist, left me feeling very nervous and scared to seek dental care again. Needing emergency dental treatment today, Solace Dental went beyond what I expected any dentist office to provide. From the phone call, to arrival, the procedures, to leaving the experience was beyond stellar! They were very sensitive to my concerns and needs. Their awareness, empathy, and compassion woven with attention to fine details, professionalism, and patient care is definitely by far the best dental care I’ve ever had in 47 years. This dentist office works as a team in the best interest for their patient. Only had to have xray and exam today but my overall experience was great. Called this morning because of a tooth that broke overnight and they got me right in. The staff was very friendly and professional. I scheduled an appointment for my treatment of the broken tooth. I would recommend this place for sure.

My wife really enjoys going to the dentist(bet you dont hear that much) when its Solace Dental! Beth, the hygienist, and Dr. Skinner really care about each patient! Dr. Skinner checks your jaw, teeth, gums, and asks the right questions for your semi-annual checkup. You cant lose with Solace Dental!

This was my first visit to Solace Dental as I needed to have a tooth extracted. I have been living in Florida and going to the same dentist for 20 years because they were amazing. I even considered traveling to Florida to visit my dentist and have the procedure done there, but the pain was extremely bad, so I had to find a local dentist. I went on line and after reading some of the Solace’s patience reviews, I decided to visit Them. I’m so glad that I was not only able to have my procedure done at Solace Dental, but to have found a great dentist with an amazing staff. They were all really nice, professional and caring. I strongly recommend this dentist office, you will not be disappointed

Be aware!! He tried to do unnecessary work on me and my son. Do you research he has lost his license before for this conduct. Was the worst dental experience Ive ever encountered.

I love this place but when the only dentist is gone for a week.... Kinda pointless for it to be recommended as an emergency dentist.

They were so sweet and helpful. I had to have my wisdom teeth taken out - all four and I was terrified. They got me in so fast. Dr. Skinner was absolutely amazing as well as his assistant. She was so so kind to me. As well as Karen at the front desk. Everyone I came into contact with was so welcoming and kind. They took great care of me and answered all my crazy questions. Im so thankful that such a terrifying experience in my head went so easy and fast. I highly highly recommend this office and Dr. Skinner. They truly care about their patients and I will be going here again no doubt.

Friendly caring modern clean office. Im normally scared to death to go to the dentist and so have been putting it off for years, but they made me feel very comfortable, calm and welcome and didnt shame me but showed my pictures of my mouth and how I could get things fixed easily. The doctor kept asking me how I was doing while doing the work and was very professional. would give more than 5 stars if I could. highly recommend

I would highly recommend Solace Dental. The care was excellent. I unfortunately had to have a tooth Extraction. I was nervous and scared of how much this would hurt. My concerns were addressed and the Dr made.sure I would not have any pain.. I felt nothing. This was the 1st time I have ever had a dental procedure where it was pain free. I was given excellent directions to follow afterwards for the next few days & I healed well. I have been looking for a good dental practice and now I have found one.

Always a great experience at Solace Dental! The staff are all very nice and professional. I have also always had great interactions with the dental hygienist Beth and dentist Dr.Skinner. No complaints since I started using them for my dental needs (wisdom teeth extraction and standard teeth cleaning) back in early 2020.

Great place! Super friendly staff and Doctor. Dr Skinner explained and showed pictures on a large overhead tv in a way I could understand and didn’t shame me. I felt like they really cared about me personally and for my well-being! I was scared of dentists previously but this appointment was very easy and made me feel calm and comfortable. Definitely recommend them.

Very clean. Staff was so friendly and personable yet still professional. Usually not a fan of the dentist but this was a much better experience than I have had previously with other dental offices in my area. Highly recommended!

Got me in immediately to check out a sever tooth pain I was experiencing. I ended up needing a root canal and they did the procedure immediately. So thankful for Dr Skinner and all his staff!

Solace dental was the third dentist office that I have visited since moving to Iowa 5 years ago. Im one of those people that is terrified of going to the dentist but solace dental made me feel safe and comfortable from the minute I walked through the door. I appreciated the covid 19 safety measures. My appointment was for 9:00. My appointment was on time. The receptionist, hygienist and dentist were all very personable and professional. I was finished by 10. I made my next appointment for 6 months. Thanks for the excellent and safe treatment and care.

I am not a fan of going to the dentist and they made my experience very easy. Explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable with what they were doing. Very reassuring and seemed to care about how I was doing.
