$45+ an hr is way to much they said it would take 4 hrs to hymn a dress with no beading or anything ridiculous almost $200 and the dress was only $150 thank God my sister and brother n law does this and all I have to do is take it to Dallas free or charge

Such sweet people work here! They are very shy at first but very knowledgeable, some places won’t touch wedding dresses because they are difficult to work with but Mary knows exactly what she is doing and I’m very pleased. Thank you!!!

I have been a loyal customer for years, even though it’s super annoying they don’t accept credit/debit cards for under $75....always have to go by the bank before.But I put up with that.I went to pick a shirt up and drop one off.Mr. Castillo took my money then gave me back my change. I noticed it was a different amount than the hundreds of previous transactions I had so I handed the extra change back to him and told him he had given me too much. He then showed me the math, how much it cost plus tax, which made the change he had given me back correct. I then told him all of the other times I had dealt with the other lady in there, she had only given me some of my change back....every.single.time. I never checked her math, I just trusted her and assumed she was being honest.So I told him they should make it right....she was standing right beside him and just chuckled. He said no.It’s not very much that it totaled up to be....around $20-$25....but that’s not the point.So I will be taking my business elsewhere....

I have been a loyal customer for years since the French Quarter days. Mary is sweet but Mr. Castillo is rude. Ive put up with it before but Im done. For the amount they charge you should get quality tailoring but their customer service just isnt what it used to be. My family will be taking our business elsewhere.

I picked my wedding dress up Tuesday and Mary’s Alterations in Tyler completely messed it up! They took in places that weren’t supposed to be taken in so therefore it does not fit and I had to take it somewhere else! Conveniently they are out of the country at the moment and the lady at the front desk said I can’t refund you, you will have to wait until they get back which is March 5!! 😡😡😡 y’all they had it 3 weeks and said they didn’t start working on it until last Thursday!! I am furious 😡😡😡😡 that’s money out of my pocket a wedding is already expensive as it is!! I have pics to prove it! DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING THERE! They seriously had me convinced I was “bloated” or had gained a little weight but I got on the scale this morning and I actually have lost a few pounds! I took it to another place and they SHOWED me where they took it in! They lied and said they didn’t touch that part but I have pictures to prove they did, besides the fact that it fit dramatically different!Edit:wish I could post pictures on here of the mess and then the fix! Diana’s in dallas fixed it and my dress fit perfect.

Everyone at Marys was very nice and seemed to be quite caring. However, I brought a dress in that needed VERY few and VERY simple alterations, and I was so unhappy with the outcome. I simply needed the straps shortened and the neckline to be made a little more modest.When I went to go pick up the dress, they had me try it on, and it wasnt exactly right, so they made some more adjustments. When they gave it to me the second time, they didnt have me try it on (which I will admit was partially my fault, I should have asked to).When I tried my dress on the day of my banquet, I wanted to cry. The seams down the neckline, in an attempt to make it more modest, were too far apart. Basically, my dress was doing the same thing a button-down shirt does when its too small -- it was getting those gaps all the way down. I was not only uncomfortable, but I looked ridiculous.After paying $35, I had to use a seam ripper to get the stitches out, and went to my banquet wearing the dress in the condition that it was in before I even brought it to Marys.

Disappointed in level of service. Initial appointment went well and they agreed to have dress ready when I ask.But today when I tried to call to be sure the dress would be ready tomorrow I couldnt get anyone to answer. Finally someone picked up the phone but he was on the phone with someone else I guess because I had to sit there and listen to him telling someone about cassette tapes. I kept saying hello but he wouldnt answer me. Hung up and called back and the line was busy (go figure) Waited and called back, rang several times then got a loud sound like when a fax machine picks up. Finally reached someone and dress is supposed to be ready tomorrow. If it is and alterations are exceptional I will raise my review to four stars. Oh and the three stars is also because I felt like $80 dollars just to hem the dress was too expensive.

I have used Marys Alterations for several years and I would not trust my clothes with anyone else. We also had my spouses wedding dress altered with them and they did an excellent job.

When I found out that a needed a dress uniform done in a short time they pulled it together beautifully and saved me. The work is quality and the price is fair.

Very bad service, a person who not speak English with purple and pink hair attended me she not understand anything I said to her, VERY SCARY...and the other person with white hair just looked, I’m very disappointed,finally the other girl came to take care of me and other clients.a single person for so many clients? marys needs improvement.

DO NOT leave your items with Marys alterations unless you enjoy poor service and additional stress. I will never use them again and I dont recommend them to you!
