Needed a battery, got a battery.Carmen was a big help. She had wonderful customer service. She was pleasant, and knowledgeable in her job. She took time to test the battery, found the proper replacement, and made the sell pleasant.

A little pricey but the only auto parts store in town. Most if the staff is helpful. The usually have what I need and if not it comes in the next day.

Nice big sign on the front door instructing customers to wear masks. Walked in and one employee had one on, the other 3 did not, nor did customers. I mean, why should they if the employees dont wear one? Took my business elsewhere. For right now, this is stupid I am sorry.

5 star rating because when the two hardware stores in 29 Palms are closed on the weekend, AutoZone is open and the next best thing to a hardware store. My purchases had nothing to do with automobiles

Very disappointed. AutoZone did not want to match a battery price.. I was turning in a AutoZone battery that was in a vehicle i purchased. It didnt live up to its warranty. Fortunately, OReillys stepped right up and was happy to match the battery and price and gladly credited the AutoZone battery as a core.

This is by far the worst AutoZone around, and by that I mean the workers don’t know anything about customer service. Have been here on 2 occasions and both were horrible experiences. The first one was when my car battery was bad, went to this location to get it checked, and they said they couldn’t replace the battery for my car because “it’d take too long”, i have a small sedan 2 screws on the battery. More recently my car got messed up and I ordered some parts from autozone.com for same day delivery as they advertise it, did not come the same day. Next day when I called they kept telling me that autozone does not offer same day delivery, even though I ordered directly from AutoZone.com, once they finally figured it out they said they had no drivers available and that I’d have to pick it up, when I told them that I can’t pick it up due to my car not working they did not offer any solutions as to maybe delivering it some other day so I had to cancel my order. Never again!

Recently I have had to frequent this place regarding car issues. The staff has been extremely helpful. Auto Zone is always clean, a little bit crowded at times, but the employees take care of the customers quick and efficiently. Thank you Auto Zone.

Employees are allowed to get from behind the counter right? They arent chained to their register during their shift?This store is not like the one in Yucca. They stay behind their counter here and dont care if you need help. If they walked around to help people once in awhile, they would notice the trash in their stealing more often.Went in their for wiring tools. The gentlemen simply said it shows we have them. Well they arent here and that comment is not helpful at all.Would be less stars, but its the only place in town and I do occasionally buy something that I cant find online or cant wait to get shipped.

It was an immediate need situation with time running out.My car registration coming due in days, my check engine light lit up recently,and needed to have smog test to register the car Explained problem to an AutoZone employee. He had equipment to assess the check engine light to determine probable cause. Back to the computer to see if the Correct part was in stock. He assessed it to be an emissions sensor of some kind but needed to order the correct part. he said the following morning it will be delivered. Next day service did occur, the part arrived as predicted.Had the part installed by my son and hit the road to t some mileage o the vehicle on my way to have it pass the smog test Successful conclusion and registration paid on time. This employee as well as others I have encountered more frequently are very knowledgeable and I have no problem accepting their conclusions on what is needed to fix problems of aging vehicles. Good Job, very professional group.Thank You Rich McDaniel

Great excellent customer service and all the way around, absolutely wonderful & awesome employees. They are all too wonderful! Although, one of the female workers has sometimes an attitude and had sold me an item that wasnt necessary. I was unaware of it, of course not until I got home, fiance/boyfriend schooled me after the fact I bought it. I appreciate Frank, hes awesome because hell take the time and go way beyond. In other words, hell seek to it that you get what you need, if he cant hell try, and to get the answers to questions; especially the products that you may need. For instance, he helped me with a part that has to do with my mass airflow sensor to my 2014 Acura RLX. I had no idea of a certain name/wiring part &/or the color orderance to the pigtail wire harness plugin connector and Frank was able to give me good tips as well as looked up other data(spent way less then what I needed to). Twentynine palms has the best autozone Ive ever been in (in my opinion) especially within this area.

Starter went out in my wifes expedition. They had the parts and tools to do the job ( even made recommendation for Less expensive set that would do the job.) Never had an issue with this store.

They will charge your car battery for free.

A huge shout out to Coriano who went above & beyond for us tonight. Our truck started leaking oil & noticed it right before making our 2+ hour drive home and less than 10 minutes before store closing (but we were 15-20 mins out). He took a phone order and was willing to keep it inside until he had to close up, then would leave it outside for us so we could pick it up & safely make it home. Our family truely appreciates Corianos willingness to go above & beyond for us tonight!! Thank you!

The very best auto parts store that I’ve ever been to. They have a surprising amount of parts in stock. And everything in super clean, including the bathroom! But for me, it’s about the people. The men and woman are really nice and friendly. I called the regional manager and told him this. They deserve an A++

This is a busy little store. Being so close to the base theres all kinds of young men in their buying things for their vehicles. That being said, when I got up to the front of the line the cashier was oh so helpful! And very friendly and personable.I dont remember his name but this company is very lucky to have him.

This store has wonderful customer service, I went into the store to purchase wind shield wiper blades and Brandon who assisted me, was quick and efficent, knew exactly what i needed, checked me out and then ask if he could put them on for me !!! Unbelievable service . Scott assisted me with the window wiper installation and within 15 minutes from start to finish, I was back on the road again. Thank you Auto Zone for such wonderful helpful customer service, FIVE STARS ALL THE WAYThe following day, I had a rat eat a complete line in the car which I needed some parts and tubing to repair the situation, so again I returned to Auto Zone for parts and I was assisted by Randy Rice, who was so very customer service orientated, he looked under the hood of my car, obtained a sample of what was left over from the rat chewing, found all the parts to make it work again and he installed the parts and tubing, car all fixed and running properly. It is always a pleasant experience at this Auto Zone Location and I greatly appreciate their great customer service and knowledge...thank you again, for all that you do, we are lucky to have such a wonderful auto store in Twentynine Palms...FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY AND STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Only parts store in town. Staff will let you just walk up and down the aisles without offering assistance. Some of the staff are very knowledgeable and honest. I have had positive experiences at AutoZone.

The only reason I would ever go to an auto parts store is for customer service. I normally buy everything online. Their service is stellar. If they do not have what you need, they will call their nearby stores and have them hold it for you. Otherwise they can order things and have them generally by the next day. I gave four stars instead of five for two reasons. Sometimes the wait is longer than it could be. But the big one is that while the employees do what they can to get what you need, it is clear that many of them do not have a good understanding of what they are selling and many times there is not anyone available that does. Seems like that if what you need is not in their computer, you are out of luck. So if you have something unusual, make sure that you go online first and get a part number that shows up on their website, otherwise, it is likely they can not help you. BTW, their parts database is quite good compared to other similar stores, and they have many handy resources on their website, including diagrams and howtos.

These guys get you what you need quickly

I’ve been shopping at AZ for years and have always had good experiences. This store has moody managers that won’t even try to work with you on a simple item exchange. As a former employee in my younger days, I always made sure my customers were taken care of. Misplacing a receipt is not the end of the world. I understand giving money back is a no no without a receipt but all I’m trying to do is swap the color of my rattle can. This is why I much rather shop on the web through other retailers. Avoids dealing with crappy people.

In past experience Autozone workers seem to be exceptionally lacking in knowledge. Here the staff pleasantly surprises me everytime with a full team of helpful individuals who are willing to put in the effort to ensure thwir customers needs are met.

Pretty wide range of tools and needed equipment. And unlike most Auto Zones Ive been to, these people actually have automotive knowledge.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Theyre usually pretty good about helping me find whatever nonsense my husband sends me in for and ordering parts from other stores when needed.

We went in to get transmission fluid for a car with a manual transmission. They didnt have any so they tried to sell us regular motor oil, clutch fluid, and gear oil instead. Clearly didnt have a clue what they were doing.Update (7/11/17)Went in today to get my battery and alternator checked and had a much better experience. The associate who helped me actually knew what he was doing and offered some helpful suggestions. Everyone I talked to was friendly and helpful. Still taking off one star for the first visit but Im thinking we just picked a bad time to come in.

Just about the only place I buy Auto parts in Twentynine Palms. Easy to find, north on Adobe from 62, about 2 blocks on the east side of the road.

Fair prices, on equipment but you cant borrow a tool
