They will rip you off any chance they get.If you hear the name Kelly mcgorthy know that she is the problem. This is the worst reality company in San Bernardino County they will find anyway to keep your money and stab you in the back. I feel bad for the new people that work with them because the management will lie to them and make them lie to you.

Devin Sanabria is who we worked with and oh my gosh he was amazing! We are a military family and had a month to find a home and today we felt absolutely defeated as for 5 days we had a landlord tell us the home was ours and not to look anywhere else for a home to come to find out they chose someone else for the home and didn’t want to tell us. We contacted Devin about needing a home and he made it possible in 1 HOUR!!!He did everything in his power to make sure my husband and I and our twin baby girls weren’t homeless. He was a true blessing and helped our family more than we could ever thank him.He is an amazing worker and sure cares about his job and clients! 5 Stars from us absolutely!

Our experience with this company was horrible. We had to make a cross country move, and we were continually assured move in dates that kept getting pushed further and further back. We ended up arriving in California having to wait about 4 four days until we could move into the home. Once we were in, we discovered that rats were living in the outdoor closet housing the water heater, rat sign essentially encircling the home, and the water heater was not properly installed (which resulted in a gas leak). The drive was also covered in debris which included nails and broken glass. While we loved the house we lived in, we couldnt help but feel concerned for the home owners. It was clear that Road Runner was not taking care of their property. The only member of their staff who actually seemed to be focused on her job and acted in a professional manner was the young woman who looked over the house before we left. She discovered that the swamp cooler was badly in need of service and that water was actually pooling on top of the roof. If youre a home owner thinking of renting your property I would investigate other homes managed by Roadrunner. Hopefully, their management style has improved, but if not, be careful.

My experience with Coldwell Banker roadrunner realty has been excellent. Devin was a huge help as I was deployed and had no place to live. He went above and beyond to iron out details so I could move in 8 days early so my girl and I would not be homeless when we returned to California. The home we rented is beautiful and well taken care of. All minor details that needed repair he took care of by having a contractor contact us the same day to schedule repairs. They have treated us with the utmost respect and helpfulness. Zero complaints, and I highly recommend them. I spoke to all other local real estate companies in search of a home while deployed to Iraq, and Devin was literally the only true professional I ever spoke to in the Twentynine Palms housing market. They go above and beyond for customers where other agencies won’t even call you back. My girl and I are very grateful that we are doing business with Coldwell Banker Roadrunner Realty.

I had a great interaction with Coldwell because of their realtor Danielle. Danielle is an amazing addition to the Twentynine Palms office and Coldwell as a whole. She was extremely helpful and informative while assisting me to find a house. She provides great customer service and a wealth of knowledge regarding her job. I hope that she flourishes in the future and continues to provides the same great service. I would definitely recommend Coldwell Roadrunner to others because of her.

Although we didnt end up renting through Coldwell Banker, I cant say enough good things about Danielle! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience with this company. She is very personable and professional, unlike any other agent we met with. We highly recommend asking for Danielle if youre planning on using Coldwell Banker in Twentynine Palms.-Kimberly and Justin

Although Danielle is STILL awesome, this office does NOT try to work with you, the houses they have have, have been empty for SO long, mother nature moved in (Dubai aka ROACHES) and they act as if that shouldnt be a problem and wont even inform the owners!Went through someone else and LOVE my home!

100% satisfied! If you’re looking for a understandable, loyal, helpful, fast paced, & honest person, DEVIN SANABRIA is the one to help you out! I just moved here from North Carolina a few months ago and my family was living in a temporary 2 bedroom duplex and Devin was dedicated on finding us a home. Devin Sanabria contacted me immediately and we met up the SAME DAY I asked him to show me the home and I found our home the same day & I only waited less than a week for approval! Devin kept me updated and walked me through the whole process professionally! This is actually our first time dealing with a realty company and it has been an amazing experience! I strongly recommend Coldwell banker roadrunner realty and DEVIN SANABRIA to assist you! If you’re looking for someone who is honest, committed, fast, and FRIENDLY then this company is the one for you! Thank you Devin, because of you, my family have a big beautiful home just in time for Christmas! 🎄🙌🙏🥰🎊⭐️

After calling twice with no call back, we finally received an email and scheduled a walk-through for our property to be put up for rent. Currently sitting here as no one showed up for the walkthrough and we havent received a call or email about it. Not a company Id trust if something happened with a property and I needed them there to do their jobs.

Compared to a previous review, Id say that Stephanie has upped the game at Roadrunner Realty. I had some difficulties with them before she was hired but Im very satisfied with her management. I think the office overhauled some of the policies and started inspecting the rentals. Things are looking up for me. Theres a shortage of decent property managers in the Morongo Basin.

Danielle in the 29 Palms office is the best, she goes above and beyond for customer service. I hope someone in upper management is going to read that and give her the credit she deserves. This is an employee you could dream off, and I mean it. Thank you Danielle for excellent service as always

Places are right nothing special. The only complaint I have is that a lot of times they take forever to follow up on calls. Or they claim that they forget which they probably do I can understand that. But still to be more professional they should remember to follow up on their calls. Other than that everythings been great.

Beware of this company!*Bottomline: they did not get me moved in by the date promised, the manager has lost control of the company, there was a failure to communicate with me regarding the status of the property, and I was 28 weeks pregnant and homeless with pets on the day I requested my deposit back from Caldwell and switched over to using Plaza Realtors 29 Palms. Anecdotally, others have mentioned failure to complete maintenance in a timely manner, withheld deposits for unjustifiable reasons, and property owner dissatisfaction. My story took place September 2019:I put a deposit down with Caldwell to hold a house my military friends were moving out of. I discussed at length with Caldwell the months prior to secure a smooth move in. I even went over to the house the night before my friends left—after carpets were cleaned and movers had come— and the house was in excellent condition except for a pair of blinds in rough shape. Caldwell was aware that I had a hard deadline to be out of my current house due to owners selling it, which was 16 days after the military friends were moving out. The owner found out about repairs 14 days after the prior tenants moved out and requested to get me in immediately before I became homeless but Caldwell did not abide by the request. The owner lost almost a months rent by the time this whole fiasco was over. On the 16th day, Caldwell still did not have the house ready for move-in. Their excuse was they “wanted to ensure the house was perfect for tenants.” I was 28 weeks pregnant, with two dogs and a cat and a husband who works out of town, and I was homeless. I went to Caldwell and sat in their office until the manager, Stephanie, showed up around 10 o’clock on a Monday morning (opening was 8 o’clock, the time I arrived). She knew nothing of my situation, my hard move out deadline, or the status of the house (for example: she claimed the carpets needed cleaning when my friends had already gotten the professional carpet cleaning done.).The Caldwell property’s available date for move in had passed, and we were homeless so I asked for my deposit back immediately. I turned around, called Stephanie Gandre at Plaza Realtors 29 palms, she gave me keys to view three properties, I picked one and signed the lease by close of business the same day. My husband and I have worked with Stephanie Gandre before in prior houses in 29 Palms, and she has consistently done an amazing job. She cares about her renters, is speedy with maintenance issues and is fair in deposit return (we’ve gotten full deposit back twice now).I feel like I narrowly escaped a horrendous renting relationship with Caldwell, and I’m extremely grateful and pleased with Plaza Realtors 29 Palms. I cannot speak to the house buying with Caldwell but if you’re a renter, run away before you get screwed either on the front end or when you move out.

Do not, by any means rent from them! The level of detail you are expected to go into with your pre-move in survey in order to get your deposit back is beyond absurd. We moved in and felt we were quite thurough. We noted the floor peeling up, the hole in the wall, the need for paint, the extreme lack of cleaning, scrathes and dents, literally everything. After living inthe home a day we realized a toilet didnt work, the screens were all bent, and many more issues. But we could not ammend the survey. So we submitted maintenance requests for almost everything. We ended up fixing the toilet ourselves, straightened the screens as best as we could, and lived with the hole. We upgraded the thermostat, installed a water filter, had a new cable/internet line installed as the previous one had been installed incorrectly, and other various upgrades at our expense. When we had our move out survey, Stephanie did a full walk through noting the few things she saw (mainly cleaning), all of which we adressed. I cleaned every surface, scrubbed walls and base boards, ensured that everything opened and closed and was in working order. The carpets were professionally cleaned and documented. We moved across the country feeling good. After absolutely no communication from Coldwell we recieved less than half of our deposit back. The list of damages was a mile long and included things that were present long before we had even moved in and were never discussed during the move out walk through, as well as quotes to entirely replace things that had minescule damage, driving up the price. When we communicated with the landlord directly he was unaware of any of the issues. Coldwell hung up on us when we tried to get answers. They insisted they had no documentation on the house to compare our claims. There was some staff turnover, so naturally they pushed the blame onto no longer employed staff. We had to contact the carpet cleaner to look through his documented photos, to ensure we werent charged for pre existing stains. I had to contact the cable installers to ask for documentation of the holes from the old cable lines. Every other company in the area had photo documentation and yet the property managers conveniently had none. They outright stole our money. When they got tired of dealing with us they simply stopped responding. We had complete communication with the home owner during this time and he was floored they werent acting professionally or doing right by him, even when he made specific requests to get things handled and new renters moved in. He only knew we were moving out because we had told him, again no communication from Coldwell. We had heard nothing but horror stories about Coldwell and we are dissapointed we didnt heed their warnings. It cost us. So im warning you now: you will not have maintenance done, you will not be spoken to, and your money will be stolen from you. If you do go with them, make sure you stay in the area long enough to take them to small claims court....you will need it.

Coldwell took over for another rental company who managed our property. Due to the well known name we had high expectations, but have been extremely disappointed. The communication with the stafff in the 29 Palms is awful, pretty much they lack any professional courtesy to reply or acknowledge emails and phone calls. We always had to follow up with more phone calls and there was always an excuse for why they didn’t reply. We weren’t even told our tenant was moving out. We only found out when we didn’t get our rent for the month. Our house was poorly cared for by this company. They allowed tenants to build into the structure of our home without our approval and never told us. We had to point things out with inspection photos. When Danielle was there at least we had someone who cared and went above and beyond. Stephanie is the current office manager and lacks professionalism. Our concerns and business were of no value to her. We do not recommend this company and sadly will never do business with any company affiliated with Coldwell. We trusted them in managing our home and regret we didn’t cut ties sooner.

Severely dissatisfied with this rental company. The 29 Palms branch would often send out threatening letters to tenants, they are very difficult to get in contact with and generally have vague or unhelpful responses to your questions. As well, each employee seems to have a different answer for the same question. The employees at this office were generally rude and gave me the impression that I was just wasting of their time. Upon move out they will do their best to find anything to charge you for in order to keep parts of your security deposit. After requesting a pre-move out inspection which resulted in an all clear from one employee, I was then charged for cleaning after the fact, even though the home was left cleaner than we received it. While this is good for future tenants, it is very frustrating for those ending their leases. In retrospect, I should have just left the house dirty and saved myself many hours of scrubbing and dusting since I was charged anyways.
