Took my little boy here today. Absolutely loved it. Everyone was incredibly nice, and the stylist (Faustina) did a fantastic job. She was very patient, even when my son was wiggling around. Lol Definitely would recommend this place, and Im definitely going to take him there next time.

Usually I have gone to the Location in Irvine, however, decided to visit the location in Tustin. A mistake. The lady that was assigned to my son was extremely rude and rough when using the clippers. Left marks on my sons hair, didn’t really talked to us, seemed like she is not happy there. Horrible experience. My son doesn’t really care for haircuts, he is after all 3 and still learning. After this experience with Asia, I fear he will be more opposed to it. If she doesn’t like to work with kids she should find a salon for adults. Do yourself a favor and don’t go with her. Maybe visit the location in Irvine, it’s a lot better. And the stylist seem to actually have compassion for kids .

Great experience will come back again very quick and attend me as soon as the next kid was finish. Because I arrive a little early and love the customer service

My daughter really enjoyed her first visit here! She was very comprehensive at first but the lady who did her hair made her feel very comfortable so she really enjoyed her experience. We did have an appointment so we got right in as well.

The hairstylist did not have any patience. She was overbooked and she was rough with the trimmer. My son got a few rashes from her Hastiness.

Getting my sons haircut has been a challenge the past 2 years (hell be 3 in December) . Weve gone and paid a lot of money for cuts because no one has gotten far enough.Hes has ASD and doesnt like the sound of the razor, wont sit still, has issues in busy/crowded spaces.I called to book an appointment and spoke to someone about my sons issues, they recommended Jessica and extra time just in case.Jessica was amazing!!! I came 15 minutes early so my son can get used to the environment. Jessica came to the kids table where we were waiting to get to know him and to help him get comfortable with her. She was so patient and knew how to calm and talk to him. She was a amazing, my son has a great hair cut, a few tears, but she made it work. I would say all the other stylist was good too, they were all so friendly to all the children coming in.From calling for an appointment, checking in with the receptionist and working with the stylist. I would highly recommend this for ups childs hair cut.

Great place for little girls to cut their haircut in a stylish salon way. They get their nails painted, a gemstone ring, balloon. Stylists are also usually very sweet. I just dont appreciate being asked if I wasnt to leave a tip. Its already an expensive place. Thats why only 4 stars

I absolutely love this place and highly recommend it! I especially recommend Jessica James! She was patient, kind outstanding and understanding with my autistic daughter. She was explaining everything she was doing as she worked on my daughters hair to help her calm down. After her haircut, she did a headband braid, accessorized her braid with a cute barrette, gave my daughter a little mani and a cute ring. My daughter loved it, said she felt like a princess.👑❤ I am a customer for life!

They have a VERY strict late appointment policy. We actually got to the location on time. Unfortunately, the lady in front of us decided to talk for 5 minutes. When it was finally our turn, the lady told us we were late and lost our appointment. I just turned around and found a place where we walked in and get our sons haircut. Way better experience.

Very friendly staff, lots of fun for the kids, especially if they need something to help them sit still. The ladies know how to cut kids hair and are quick getting them cleaned up.

Trisha and Heather are awesome! Been taking my 6 year old boy and 5 year old girl here for the last couple of years and I love how they take care of us. Been to many other kid haircut places but this one is unique. Would definitely recommend an appointment b/c its gotten pretty busy the past few months.

First time and great set up for kids. My son loved the car options where he could sit for his haircut: Lightening McQueen from Cars, Batmobile and a red fire engine. The girls had theyre own area too, but we were there just for my son, but the set up for the girls was impressive. Our hair stylist was friendly and overall I was pleased with my sons haircut. Would highly recommend this hair salon for those with kids.

Please ask for Lily. She is an absolute amazing stylist and is extremely loving and patient with my babies. I have a very rambunctious 4 year old who has been going to lily since he was 2 and a now 2 year old that got his first cut not so long ago. The feeling you get while and after is nothing short of rainbows and unicorns! Thank you Lily for giving my children such an amazing experience and for working with them at their pace. Once my smallest one started getting crabby she made it fun and waiting to plan her next move. Never forced. My oldest gave her the biggest hug last time he went. My heart breaks for the last experience expressed below. Just take a step back and watch Lily work to see how absolutely incredible she is with children.

They sedate the child with videos and then proceed to cut the hair the way they want without much regard for what the parent wants.

This place rocks! I took my 7 year old son there and he had a blast. He played video games, while the stylist cut his hair...even his mom liked the cut! The people there were super nice and my son literally did not want to leave. He got a balloon, sucker, sticker and tattoo on the way out. All that for a pretty good price ($19.95). I think girls are higher, but will gladly bring my daughter there as well. Place is made for kids and worth every penny have them actually want to get their hair cut and not make it a fight. Totally recommend this place!

I took my 9 month old son here, I was super hesistant to take him because I doubted he could sit still but they were so quick and efficient that we had no problems. His hair came out great and I loved the service. I only wish they would have asked before you using a electric razor to trim the edges, I would have skipped that bit, I felt he was too young & got scared but everything else was amazing. Highly recommend.

I took my 4 year old for a hair cut today at Sharkeys and we had a great experience. Raquel was wonderful! We paid $27 for the nail polish, shampoo, cut, style package - also got a ring, balloon, and hair flower. My daughter was delighted to get an Elsa braid put in her hair and we got many compliments throughout the day on how cute she looked. Will definitely go back!

Friendly staff they do the best they can with the kids. Especially with kids like my boy who starst to cry as soon as someone touches his hair. They have a lot of fun stuff to entertain the kids, from movies to toys and Video games. It is best to call and schedule an appointment because they are always busy.

Came in today and was expecting great service like the one I’ve been receiving for the past months. I spent a lot of time searching for a place that was friendly, nice but especially PATIENT with little ones, my little one is 1 yr and 8 months so he is still not very comfortable with the noice of the razor machine and it’s hard for him to stay still as any other little one at they age. Sharkey’s WAS the place to go for me...NOT ANY MORE. Unfortunately today 11/21/2018 the service that my little one received from this woman (the one in the picture)was HORRIBLE!!! She expected him to stay put and since he didn’t she placed her big heavy hand on top of his head forcing his head to not move!! so of course I told her, “he won’t stay put but the other ladies always find a way”My little one was crying and he has never cried with the other ladies so of course I’m pissed and will never bring him again to this place!! You can tell she doesn’t like working with kids because she finished in less than 10minutes and I’d rather take him someplace else where they can finish the job than have my little cry.

Lori is the best one in there she has so much patience for our toddlers and does more than an outstanding job ! Definitely recommend this place and specifically Lori you guys will not be disappointed!

My son had all his haircuts from Sharkeys and I would endorse them highly. The stylists are very patient with the restless toddlers and they have all the props setup to calm them down till the jobs well done. At 2 yrs, my son looks forward to his haircuts on his favorite lighting McQueen car

I love the staff and the patience they have with children. The fact that I only gave 3 stars was because their appointment system and 7 minute policy is ridiculous. I understand why they have the 7 minute policy however I think that if the customer cant be 7 minutes late, why can the stylist run 10-15 minutes past the appointment time before the customer is seen. I understand working with children and running late but if I wanted a 2:45 or 3 o clock appointment then I wouldnt have made a 2:30 appointment. And if the stylist is running late at least give the customer the courtesy of a phone call ahead of time .They shouldnt over book. Its really inconvenient for customers with toddlers.

Great haircut with fun atmosphere! My daughter only wants to get her haircut at sharkeys! We have been to multiple birthday parties here, and they have created lasting memories! So fun!

My son enjoys getting his haircut at Sharkeys. Especially since they have a gaming station. Plus, he always gets a nice haircut.

HORRIBLE, PLEASE DO NOT go here.I had a very very similar experience as ALO in the post below.I came home super upset. My 2 year old son was super upset.We usually go to the location in Costa Mesa. Ladies there are very patient and kind. Here...horrible service. My son usually does well with haircuts. The cars, lollipops, balloons...the works.(I apologize in advance, I did not get the ladys name...see Alos post for a picture, she is the same lady.)At this location, the moment the lady approached him, straight into the haircut. My son must have felt her dont want to work or be here attitude he lost it. He began to cry. She continued to cut his hair, i did my part to try to calm him...he was just not digging her heavy hand. At one point he was scream crying and the lady tells him to stop screaming. Not once, many times. I asked for her to stop so I can pick up my son. Hoping to calm him down. I sat with him in a chair and continued his hair cut. He was not having it with her. What does she do, hold his head down and continue to cut his hair. I was so upset. She found every excuse on how my son just did not do well with hair cuts. Really? Hmmmm try being a little more gentle lady!! I let her finish and paid. I just wanted out of there. She proceeded to ask if I wanted his hair shorter or if that was ok....at that point it was better than he came in with but not the greatest. She asked why he cried so much. I told her that he is used to getting a hair cut but at the other location where the ladies are nicer and more patient. She gave me a surprised look. She tried to be nicer to us at that point. I supported my comment by stating that were we usually get his hair cut they dont mind that my son may cry or be upset but they dont ask him to stop screaming or stop crying. She again looked surprised by my comment. I was not going to make a scene but I am for sure sharing my experience. This lady is not meant to cut toddler hair. She is way too aggressive and impatient for our kids.I was so saddened to see that I was not the only one to have this experience with her when I read another comment below on her service. I read it and it was exactly the way my son was also treated. Super disappointed. I only wish I would have read the comments BEFORE I went. But NEVER AGAIN!!!

Weve been coming here for a long time, Ms Lori is our lady and she does an amazing job for both my boys!

Have been to this location multiple times. Went on the website to book an online appointment. It specifically says that you will be called back to confirm the appointment 12 hours before the appointment. I received no such phone call. Calling into the location, I was told the staffing have no access to that system and that only the owner has access to the information. I was then told that no appointments were available the entire weekend. The summary of the conversation - the owner either does not care about the customers or is irresponsible about setting up an appointment system that doesnt link to the employees information, there was no compassion or sympathy for a customer trying to actually give business to the company but rather an approach of too bad, were too busy for you, and a general lack of satisfaction on feeling like a valuable customer. You may be the original OC location, but you have now lost a fan of your location. Ill be taking my kids to another location from now on.

Took my son Koa there to get his 1st haircut and man he enjoyed it my son is mixed and has my curls and my wifes straight hair. I asked she only use scissors because i want him to keep his curls she used this stuff called Original Sprouts Miracle Detangler and it worked now i just have to wait until they have more in stock But like I said Sharkeys is a terrific place to cut your kids hair.
