Today was better than yesterday. Yesterday, I checked in using the app. The app states that it will hold your place in line for 30 min after your check in time. I arrived 10 min after my check in time only to find out that they gave my check in to someone else. The woman, who was a little abrasive in her attitude, told me to check in again. This would have meant that I would be waiting for about an hour. No thank you, and I left. Word of warning, make sure you can arrive by the time of your check-in.Today a different woman helped me (Christine), and got me taken care of right away, and did a great job.

5 stars to Petra! I had just gone to get a haircut at another place and it wasn’t done well. Petra saved the day! She was calm and listened to what I wanted. She fixed the bad haircut from the other place. Thank you!!

Ive been coming to this place for over 7-years. The owner engages with community non-profits and the stylists are always professional and an absolute pleasure. COVID restrictions have not made their lives any easier but they are more than compliant and respectful in all interactions. Highly recommend!

Posting opening hours of 9 am and then not opening until 9:55 is a pretty ugly way to conduct business. The app and the sign on the door both confirm that they open at 9 am on Saturdays, but if the first stylist isnt showing up until 9:55,this is a pretty big misrepresentation.EDIT: this is an update following a visit at a later date. I increased my rating from a 2 to a 4 becasluse the staff here do an excellent job and maintain good COVID-19 protocol. Aside from the misrepresented opening time, this is a great place to go for a haircut.

They don’t honor buddy passes, and add ridiculous charges. Also, messed up my hair because they didn’t listen carefully, and made lots of assumptions. Terrible customer service attitude. A barber shop has better service. Also, there is no tax info on the receipt.

First time here and Ill be back, Paulina took care of me and did an excellent job. Sports clips far exceeded my expectations. Ps. Highly recommend the face towel and shoulder massage but I wouldve preferred if the massage gun was at a higher setting, but thats just me. Only improvement would be to start using a hair care range that is completely free of harmful ingredients. Paul Mitchell is good but there are cleaner products out there, albeit rare.

Not gonna lie, I had no intentions of going to a place like this. Sorry, but Ive had too many not so Super cuts. LoLBut, this was quite different than I expected and I was thoroughly pleased! My stylist was Tina and she is the best stylist Ive had in quite some time. Ive been spending $45 to $65 for a haircut this woman did for much less and she did a better job!Thanks Tina, Ill be back!

The worst location I have ever been to. Shut pay and get out is the ambiance. I like this company for a great haircut nice people ect. I have never been this disappointed. I left feeling cheated and will never return. Honestly other locations are great in my experience.

Hi yesterday was my first time getting a hair cut at Sports Clips and I enjoyed the MVP Custom Cut Special for First Time Customers. I am sorry but I forgot my hair salon stylist name however she cut my hair with great details recommending shampoo conditioner products and also gel products for my clean cut comb over hair style. Following my cut was a warm inviting shampoo and massage then she styled my hair lightly with gel. I left her a $10 tip because of her 110% Customer Service and Quality in Cutting Men’s Hair. I will return for my next hair cut in the coming weeks. Thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable session.

This a very well run, friendly place to get a haircut. The barbers are talented and professional. I like that their wait times are accurate. The only thing that keeps them from being perfect is their parking lot is pretty hectic.

Friendly staff. I checked in on line. Went right in when I arrived. Stylist was very good, although trouble understanding her English, so I almost got more than I bargained for. After that, it was great. The shampoo was amazing and relaxing.

Nancy was a very nice lady but the haircut she gave was terrible. I had to go to another barbershop afterwards to fix it. She made no attempt to make it look good. She seemed to just want to hurry up and get me out of the door. She said she knew how to cut black people hair but she obviously did not. I wanted to give 0 stars because the cut was so bad, but I gave her 2 because she was pretty friendly.

After 3 attempts in a row trying for a simple 5 on sides, inch and a half on top, it is clearly an impossible task at this location. Ive finally given up on arguing with them to get it right.Either the hairdressers are lying about whatever certification they have, or its substantially easier to become one than Ive been led to believe.

Nancy is the best! Go with the MVP for sure.

I’ve been to different locations, but this was by far the best experience. Tina was great! It’s alittle farther from where I live, but worth the drive.

Had a great first experience here. The sports vibe fits my personality precisely. The people here are professional and take the time to see what you want. I merely showed a picture and the stylist took care of me and even made suggestions on how to style my hair. You pay the same price as any other place but here they actually care and show great experience in their work. I think I found my new spot. See you guys again soon!

Petra and Laura are the only good barbers here in my opinion. A tapered fade is not a lot to ask for. The Asian woman will argue with you and create round necklines with a 1 and refuse to take the time to blend a fade from skin like I asked. My brother has down syndrome and Laura and Petra always treat him so kind

Took my son here because Mina at Irvine location was off and he needed a haircut. Asked for tight fade with hard line. Fade was good but line is not noticeable and uneven and she left a mark in his hair as if she slipped with clippers or something. I’ll be going to Irvine location from now on.

It’s very close to my apartment,so I went there totally 7 times, but 5 times they did terrible!!!. Just 2 times were good. For example, The cuts’ lines are not mirror!!! specially about your back of head. So don’t trust them, always check your back of head by mirror in the store.And Usually their machines scratch and cut your skin badly and make it red, which is remaining for few days on your neck.👎🏻👎🏻I guess its owner doesn’t care about, how much its hair stylers are professional!!! According to my experiences most of them are not barbers in sport clips. I guess they hired target or subway’s fired employees.Some of them even can not understand english very well, so they can not understand what you say or ask.This situation is not good for keeping a business and customers. I found 2 other hair salons around here with much better hair stylers! And the same price or even cheaper!

Normally I go to the one by Newport Ave and Irvine Blvd, but it closed down early for the day, so I rushed over here! They gave me a great cut, loved it!

Only asian staff there. They only seem to know one hair style and when I asked them if they can do a specific style they told me I was better off with long hair. Dont waste your time and money here. They dont even speak english so it is very dificult to communicate with them.

Ive been to this Sports Clips twice now. I will admit that the value of service seems like a good value. A hot towel and massaging shampoo is very relaxing. Throw in LCDs everywhere with sports programming and everything seems great. That is, until they cut your hair.Ive got a pretty straight forward hair cut. #1 on sides and back and cut the top short, leave the front a bit longer than the top and spike it. The first time in at this location, my haircut was average at best. There were spots that were uneven that I had to fix at home. Not horrible, but still should have been a lot better. The front was a little longer than I wanted. Since my hair grows really fast, the longer length really stood out after three weeks.Todays visit was horrible. I discussed what I wanted with the stylist. She seemed to understand and looked at her notes from record of my previous visit. She confirmed that I only wanted about 1/2 taken off the top and #1 on sides and back.Instead of taking off 1/2 she cut off everything but 1/2. She continued using the clippers on the side and once she realized that what she had cut off was uneven, continued moving up near the top with the #1. The end result, Ive got a crew cut for $25. The best part is that its uneven on the top. There are parts that are visibly longer than the rest. I look like I joined the service and was given a crew cut by a blind barber.Ill be using my Wahl clippers tonight and buzzing my head entirely.Avoid this place at all costs.
